Today, critically acclaimed K-Pop powerhouses ITZY announce their return to the global stage for ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR <BORN TO BE> , a show stopping run of electrifying performances across 18 countries in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Europe and North America this spring and summer. Having demonstrated their exceptional skills as “stage masters” through a mix of hit songs and B-side tracks on their sold out 2022 outing,  ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR <CHECKMATE>, the group’s expanded 2024 world tour is poised to uphold their reputation during their return to North America and Asia. I TZY 2ND WORLD TOUR <BORN TO BE> will also feature the group’s highly anticipated first performances in Latin America, UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Produced by JYP Entertainment and promoted by Live Nation, the 27-city tour kicks off on February 24 & 25 for a two-night run at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium then proceeds around the world to Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Mexico, Chile, the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Japan, the US, Canada, Taiwan and the Philippines. The tour will wrap up with a final performance in Hong Kong. Full dates can be found below.

Formed under K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment in 2019, ITZY exploded on to the K-Pop scene with their debut single “DALLA DALLA.” The track ranked #3 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and pulled in 17.1 million “day-of” music video views on YouTube. At the time, the song both broke the record for the most viewed K-pop debut music video in history and held the record for the fastest K-Pop debut music video to reach 100 million views. Billboard Magazine ranked “DALLA DALLA” at #20 on the “25 Best K-pop Songs of 2019: Critics’ Pick” and the group took home the Best New Artist Award at the 2020 Korean Music Awards. The group’s follow-up EP “WANNABE,” charted at #4 on the Song Sales chart and was one of the top 10 K-pop song to trend globally on Spotify, while also ranking on the Emerging Artists chart where it hit #31. ITZY’s third album, Not Shy , peaked on the Billboard Social 50 chart at #11 and World Album chart at #8, plus, their past albums, IT’z ICY and IT’z ME both entered the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.

ITZY kicked off 2021 with their first national U.S. broadcast appearance on MTV’s Fresh Out Live , racking in the largest performance views MTV had received for the platform. Then, in May, the group made their debut on the Billboard 200 album chart with their six-track EP GUESS WHO , which they followed up with their full-length studio debut, CRAZY IN LOVE . The album took the #1 spot across multiple Billboard charts, including Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and World Albums charts, and made a strong debut on Billboard’s Top 200-album chart where it reached #11, making ITZY only the third female K-pop group to score within the chart’s top 15. The album’s lead track, “LOCO,” which they performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show , reached #4 Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales. The track’s official music video also made a big splash, crossing one million views within 26 minutes of its release on YouTube, and it was nominated for a 2022 MTV VMA for “Best K-Pop.”

Last summer, ITZY released their 5 th mini album, CHECKMATE . The EP took the #8 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, marking the group’s first top-10 ranking on the chart. Further, the group became the 4 th K-pop girl group to achieve a top 10 ranking on the Billboard 200. The group performed the EP’s lead track, “SNEAKERS,” on both MTV’s Fresh Out Live and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert ’s “Late Show Me Music.” ITZY closed out the year with their sixth EP CHESHIRE and their first world tour – the CHECKMATE tour – in which the group played eight sold-out venues across the US, including Los Angeles’ YouTube Theater and New York’s Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. K-pop girl group ITZY have announced the dates and venues for their upcoming 2024 ‘Born to Be’ world tour, featuring concerts in North America, Europe, Asia and more.

Today (January 25), ITZY revealed the dates and venues for their upcoming 29-date world tour, titled ‘Born to Be’ after their new studio album of the same name .

ITZY’s new tour will kick-off with a two-night concert at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. The following month, the K-pop girl group play three shows in Oceania, as well as one in Bangkok Thailand.

April and May 2024, ITZY play a one-night-only concert in Singapore, before starting the Latin America, Europe and Japan legs of their tour. It’ll feature shows in Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany and more.

Thereafter, the K-pop girl group will kick-off the North American leg of their 2024 ‘Born to Be’ world tour, with nine dates in the United States and one in Canada. ITZY’s tour will continue into July and August of 2024, with concerts in Taipei, the Philippines and Hong Kong.

Tickets to the North American leg of ITZY’s 2024 ‘Born to Be’ world tour will go on sale February 2 at 3pm local time via Ticketmaster .

Meanwhile, pre-sale for ITZY’s London show will be available from February 1 until February 2 via Ticketmaster . General sales will start on February 2 at 10 am local time through the same ticketing merchant.

ITZY’s 2024 ‘Born to Be’ world tour will only feature four of the girl group’s five member . Fifth member Lia is currently taking a break from promotional activities, having gone on after hiatus in September 2023 due to “extreme levels of anxiety”.

ITZY Announces Dates And Cities For 2nd World Tour "BORN TO BE"

ITZY is gearing up for an ambitious 27-city world tour!

On January 26 at midnight KST, ITZY officially revealed the dates and cities for their upcoming second world tour “BORN TO BE.”

After kicking things off with two nights of concerts in Seoul on February 24 and 25, ITZY will be heading abroad for an extensive tour that will run from March through August.

As previously announced, Lia—who is currently on a health-related hiatus —will be sitting out the group’s upcoming tour.

In an announcement posted on its social media pages, the tour is set to kick off at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on February 24 to 25.

“BORN TO BE” follows the success of their debut world tour “Checkmate”, which began in August 2022 and ended in April 2023.

As of writing, Lia—who is currently on temporary hiatus due to health concerns—will not be able to join the group’s second world tour, according to an update shared by JYP Entertainment last November 17, 2023.

Lia posted a handwritten letter for MIDZYs addressing her hiatus.

Ticket prices and selling dates for some of the cities included in the tour have been announced. You may check ITZY’s posts on X (formerly Twitter) for more information.

On January 8, ITZY released their third studio album “Born To Be”, including the title track “Untouchable.” It also features the first solo songs by the members of the quintet.

ITZY, consisting of Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna, debuted on February 12, 2019.

ITZY has finally shared more details about their first world tour, the CHECKMATE tour. Just weeks after announcing which cities they’ll perform in, the K-pop group recently revealed their tour venues, dates, and ticket info. MIDZY, if you’re planning to see ITZY live, here’s what you need to know before tickets go on sale.

The group’s CHECKMATE world tour is named after their upcoming mini-album of the same name, which drops on Friday, July 15. ITZY announced their latest project on June 2 by dropping a comeback schedule listing all the important dates as part of their album promotions, including their tour which kicks off this summer.

When does ITZY’s CHECKMATE world tour begin?

ITZY will kick off their tour with back-to-back concerts in Seoul on Saturday, Aug. 6, and Sunday, Aug. 7.

Which cities and venues will ITZY visit on their CHECKMATE world tour?

Apart from their Seoul concerts, ITZY will visit eight cities in the United States this fall: Los Angeles; Phoenix; Dallas; Sugar Land, Texas; Atlanta; Chicago; Boston; and New York.

When do tickets for ITZY’s CHECKMATE world tour go on sale?

Tickets for ITZY’s Seoul concerts will have two different sales. Those who are part of the group’s fanclub will have access to a presale that will begin on Tuesday, July 5, at 8 p.m. KST, and it will finish at 11:59 p.m. KST. Meanwhile, the general sale will be on Tuesday, July 12, at 8 p.m. KST.

Tickets for the North American leg of ITZY’s tour go on sale on Wednesday, June 29, at 3 p.m. local time. Fans can purchase tickets on Ticketmaster.com .

What is ITZY’s CHECKMATE world tour setlist?

Fans won’t know the group’s setlist until their first performance in Seoul on Aug. 6. However, it’ll likely include their hit singles like “Dalla Dalla,” “ Not Shy ,” and “Loco,” as well as new songs off their CHECMATE mini-album.

Having demonstrated their exceptional skills as "stage masters" through a mix of hit songs and B-side tracks on their sold out 2022 outing,  ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR , the group's expanded 2024 world tour is poised to uphold their reputation during their return to North America and Asia. ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR will also feature the group's highly anticipated first performances in Latin America, UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. 

Produced by JYP Entertainment and promoted by Live Nation, the 27-city tour kicks off on February 24 & 25 for a two-night run at Seoul's Jamsil Indoor Stadium then proceeds around the world to Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Mexico, Chile, the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Japan, the US, Canada, Taiwan and the Philippines. The tour will wrap up with a final performance in Hong Kong. Full dates can be found below.

ITZY's loyal army of fans, known as MIDZY, will see the first live performance of the group's latest mini-album BORN TO BE , which was released earlier this month via JYP Entertainment/IMPERIAL/Republic Records. 

Featuring 10 new tracks, including their current title track UNTOUCHABLE , "BORN TO BE" not only marks the group's first release in 2024, but continues to underscore their global reach, with the album debuting at #1 the worldwide iTunes chart across 23 overseas regions, including the United States, Brazil, Thailand, France, and Australia.

Continuing to encapsulate messages of freedom and self-love, core identities of the group since their 2019 debut, the album also marks a monumental moment for ITZY, as it features solo songs from each member for the first time in the groups' history. Each member contributed to the composition of each solo track, showcasing their musical competency, and asserting themselves as bold creative forces. 

The BORN TO BE mini-album comes on the heels of their release of the same name in addition to their solo songs all of which were released with solo videos that currently hold approximately 21.1 million views collectively. About ITZY 

Formed under K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment in 2019, ITZY exploded on to the K-Pop scene with their debut single “DALLA DALLA.” The track ranked #3 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and pulled in 17.1 million "day-of" music video views on YouTube. At the time, the song both broke the record for the most viewed K-pop debut music video in history and held the record for the fastest K-Pop debut music video to reach 100 million views.

Billboard Magazine ranked “DALLA DALLA” at #20 on the “25 Best K-pop Songs of 2019: Critics' Pick” and the group took home the Best New Artist Award at the 2020 Korean Music Awards. The group's follow-up EP “WANNABE,” charted at #4 on the Song Sales chart and was one of the top 10 K-pop song to trend globally on Spotify, while also ranking on the Emerging Artists chart where it hit #31. ITZY's third album, Not Shy, peaked on the Billboard Social 50 chart at #11 and World Album chart at #8, plus, their past albums, IT'z ICY and IT'z ME both entered the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. 

ITZY kicked off 2021 with their first national U.S. broadcast appearance on MTV's Fresh Out Live , racking in the largest performance views MTV had received for the platform. Then, in May, the group made their debut on the Billboard 200 album chart with their six-track EP GUESS WHO, which they followed up with their full-length studio debut, CRAZY IN LOVE. The album took the #1 spot across multiple Billboard charts, including Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and World Albums charts, and made a strong debut on Billboard's Top 200-album chart where it reached #11, making ITZY only the third female K-pop group to score within the chart's top 15.

The album's lead track, “LOCO,” which they performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show , reached #4 Billboard's World Digital Song Sales. The track's official music video also made a big splash, crossing one million views within 26 minutes of its release on YouTube, and it was nominated for a 2022 MTV VMA for “Best K-Pop.” 

Last summer, ITZY released their 5th mini album, CHECKMATE. The EP took the #8 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, marking the group's first top-10 ranking on the chart. Further, the group became the 4th K-pop girl group to achieve a top 10 ranking on the Billboard 200. The group performed the EP's lead track, “SNEAKERS,” on both MTV's Fresh Out Live and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's “Late Show Me Music.”

ITZY closed out the year with their sixth EP CHESHIRE and their first world tour – the CHECKMATE tour – in which the group played eight sold-out venues across the US, including Los Angeles' YouTube Theater and New York's Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. In July of 2023, ITZY released their seventh EP KILL MY DOUBT, which features tracks “Bet On Me,” “None of My Business,” and fan favorite, “CAKE”.

ITZY are coming to Europe with their second world tour "BORN TO BE"!

Do you already have plans for April? Then you better cancel everything, because ITZY are coming to Europe with their second world tour! That's right: the charismatic girl group from JYP has mainly been touring Asia and America so far, but this year they're finally playing concerts in our area. We summarize all the details for you!

ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR “BORN TO BE”

Die neue World Tour ist nach dem studio album "BORN TO BE" benannt, das am 8. Januar erschienen ist. Es hat die Circle Charts getoppt und war ein hervorragender Start für ITZY in das Jahr 2024!

Vor wenigen Stunden wurde a poster with dates for the tour was uploaded to Twitter and Instagram . It starts on February 24 in Seoul and then continues through New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Mexico and South America. But the highlights come in April and May: five concerts in Europe!

We are sure that this World Tour will be an even bigger show than the first one!

The first World Tour "CHECKMATE" started in August 2022 and ended in April 2023. It included 20 concerts in Asia and North America, some of which were added later due to high demand.

The new World Tour now includes almost 30 concerts! After the stops in Europe, Ryujin, Lia and co. will move on to North America, Taiwan, China and the Philippines. We can hardly wait to welcome the girl group here!

Unfortunately, Lia won't be there. This is no surprise, as she was already absent from the last album, but it is of course sad news nonetheless. The singer has been taking a break since September 2023 because she is suffering from extreme tension and anxiety. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope that she will return to her fans soon.

As ITZY gears up for 10 North American concerts , commencing on June 6 at Seattle’s WAMU Theater, the girls look forward to bringing their latest Billboard 200 -charting album Born to Be album to life, showing off their live band for the first time in the States, and communicating on a deeper level with local fans.

As May is Mental Health Awareness Month, who better than the honest barrier-breakers of ITZY to share how they’ve matured? While mental health still faces stigma and prejudice around the world — and is not as widely discussed in Korea compared to America —Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna speak candidly about the ways they have matured, aspects they are working on and, perhaps most importantly, the bond that keeps them going together.

Billboard: Thanks for taking time in the middle of your world tour. You’re between dates before the Japan and U.S. concerts start, so how has the tour been so far?

Yuna: It was our first time in Europe and Latin America, so it was really, really like a new experience for us. There were some really beautiful cities and we really enjoyed that time. For me, I really liked Amsterdam. The weather and the people are really good — and the views were so good. Everyone should go.

You had 13 days off from your May 4th concert in Madrid to your May 17 concert in Toyko. What do you do during this time? 

Yuna: We are super busy! [Laughs]

Ryujin: There are many things that we are working on, but also we’re preparing for these big shows and our Japanese comeback [with “Algorithm”]. We’re always practicing or doing something to help us achieve things, I think?

I’ve heard artists share a range of different feelings about touring. From it being too exhausting to fans being their energy. What are your experiences?

Chaeryeong : To speak honestly, it’s definitely true that we’ll expend a lot of our physical and mental energy [on tour]. But once we go on stage, I think it gets all deleted — we get that much energy from our fans. So, it’s a wonderful experience for me.

Yuna: When I visit new cities to do concerts, I try to do my best on the stage for our fans. But I also spend as much time as I can with my members. That’s kind of the healing point for me, as well as the way I heal during touring. Just their existence really helps me. When I’m onstage and see our members’ faces, that’s all the support I need.

Yeji: There is a physician who was with us on tour for every spot we go. The physician recommended I take a vitamin powder that’s supposed to help the body with energy. She said that it’s really helpful if we keep it in our throat and swallow it all at once, and I’ve found that’s been really helpful in keeping me healthy, so I keep following that advice.

Chaeryeong: To keep my vocals strong, I carry propolis with me — it’s a gel type of medicine that you put on your throat. It can be minty and soothing; I think it’s famous in New Zealand? That’s good for your throat.

Yeji: I also try to change my vocalizations and the way I make sounds on the stage. Lots of time, I have to try to do less to not strain my throat and [save my voice for the next concert date].

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and I think it’s a great opportunity to share how you support your mental and emotional health. What are some things you do individually to take care of yourself?

Chaeryeong : For me, I write in my diary. I write things that I like or very detailed happy memories so I can memorize, like, every little detail for a long time. But there are also things I write when I’m having a hard time, the sad or negative memories, to drop those feelings off from my heart.

Yuna: I always try to make time for self-focusing time — writing and meditating. I really focus on myself and that’s how I stay centered. But it’s so hard. When I meditate, I tend to always fall asleep. [Laughs] It’s also a good way to fall asleep!

Yeji: These days, I’m trying to be honest about my own feelings and what I feel. If something sad happens, even just slightly, I feel that emotion enough and then can just “let it go.” I’m trying to react fully on my feelings and laugh at the small things, too.

Yeji, it’s interesting to hear that you’re being honest with your feelings now. As ITZY’s leader, did you sometimes dismiss your feelings when leading a team?

Yeji: Since our debut and our early stages, there were some times I did try to hide [my feelings] because the team is very important. But these days, even if I try to hide everything, the members know me so well — we’re family — that even if I try, they know first how I feel and think. So, I don’t have to actually hide — and that’s why I’m trying to get more honest with expressing my feelings.

Thank you for sharing those, ITZY. She’s not here with us right now because she’s also focusing on her mental health, but how are you keeping in touch with Lia?

Yeji: Just the other day, I watched a video from the past with all five of us and I texted it to Lia. So, we talked and chatted. We are all keeping in touch with her often.

Looking wider, being an artist—in K-pop especially, but anywhere in the world—requires a strong mentality. You were all teenagers when you debuted and now you’re adults. How have you seen yourselves maturing since then?

Yuna, as the youngest member who debuted when you were 15, what have you learned?

Yuna: It’s been quite a while since we’ve debuted, so I think I learned to become more used to circumstances and people — what’s needed in the atmosphere of our lives [as K-pop stars]. So, I got to understand these realities much more deeply. But the biggest thing I try to maintain is my passion — the passion I got and the feelings I had at my first stage [performance]. My biggest thing is trying to keep that.

Thank you for discussing an important topic. The U.S. leg of the Born to Be Tour  begins in June. Have you prepared anything special or different for these shows?

Yuna: English! We are preparing 100 percent of our audience talking in English to communicate more.

Yeji : Not only are some of the venues bigger and the concerts feel bigger in scale, but we paid a lot of attention and poured a lot into the directing of the concert. So you can see a new direction in the stages as well as the VCR too. While we have taken many dancers who have been with us on past tours, I think the variety of performances has also been upgraded a little more than the last world tour, Checkmate.

Chaeryeong : We also have a live band which is a big point for the new tour.

This is the Born to Be World Tour centered around your album of the same name, including ITZY’s first-ever solo songs you all wrote, composed, and perform in concert. How was the experience, and will we see more songwriting?

Anything else you want to share with fans before the U.S. tour dates?

Ryujin: First of all, we’re coming to you in June so please come to our concert. We’re always thankful for you supporting us despite the hundreds of miles of distance. We will try our best to see you guys much more often. Thank you.

Yuna: Also, it’s our second world so it will be more…more…there will be much more things to see so please come to our concert!
