Taylor Swift's European tour dates have come to an end, but she'll start back up on the final leg of The Eras Tour in October. She finished her final London shows in August and will return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift released her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, and the Swiftie hype has continued throughout the summer.

Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. So far, Swift's tour has passed through various cities in the US, Europe, Australia, Latin America, and Asia, among other regions. As Swift approaches her last tour dates, which will see her take her final bow in Canada, tickets remain hard to come by.

Below, we've put together a guide on everything to know about The Eras Tour, including the tour schedule, ticket purchasing details, resale ticket prices, and the concert film streaming options. You can also peruse resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Taylor Swift North American tour dates

The Eras tour will return to the US on October 18 in Miami. In addition to the Miami shows, Swift will perform multiple dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. On November 14, Swift will head to Canada for several shows in Toronto and Vancouver. All North American shows start at 7 p.m. local time.

How to buy tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour

Original standard tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour sold out long ago for both international and domestic dates. All US tickets and many international tickets were sold through Ticketmaster , although select international locations used different services.

Tickets for most dates are available on resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats . These are generally higher-priced than the originals, which are no longer available. Keep in mind that some countries have rules regarding reselling tickets.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. European resale tickets tended to be a bit cheaper than North American resale tickets. Some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

When it comes to North American shows, the cheapest StubHub tickets range from $1,661 (Vancouver, Canada, on December 6) to $2,322 (Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 2). Most of the cheapest tickets are priced between $1,600 and $2,300. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets on these dates start at $1,899 and $2,625, respectively. The two resale vendors generally have similarly priced offerings, but this varies from show to show.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift's tour?

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore opened for Swift. Earlier in the tour, Swift had Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, MUNA, HAIM, and more open for her.

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift has already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations.

During her 100th show, a mid-June performance in Liverpool, Swift acknowledged that the tour would conclude in December. "The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I've ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December," Swift told the crowd in a moment that was widely captured and posted across social media. This statement means that the Eras Tour is unlikely to extend past 2024, but we'll keep this guide updated if Swift announces any changes (or additions) to her tour lineup.

Were any tour dates canceled?

Taylor Swift was originally scheduled to play three Eras Tour shows from August 9 to 11, 2024, in Vienna, Austria. However, the shows were canceled after Austrian officials confirmed that multiple individuals were  arrested on suspicion of planning an attack  at one of the shows. As of August 12, no other Eras Tours performances have been canceled.

Is The Tortured Poets Department a part of the Eras Tour?

It's good news for fans of "The Tortured Poets Department," Swift's most recent album that dropped on April 19, 2024. Swift is incorporating several of the new tracks into the Eras Tour, as evidenced by the first shows of her European leg. "The Tortured Poets Department" songs currently featured on tour include "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," and "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."

Since the Eras Tour is already pretty long, this means that Swift is also cutting down a few songs from past Eras that previously made the tour setlist. The songs that were removed from the setlist include "The Archer," "Long Live," "The 1," "The Last Great American Dynasty," "'Tis the Damn Season," and "Tolerate It."

How To Buy Taylor Swift Resale Tickets Without Entering Your Scam Era

era tour resale

Alexandra Koster

Ahead, we’ll show you how to get tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia if you missed out on the pre and general sales (that don’t require you to fork out a house deposit’s worth of tickets to some dickhead scalper). An alternative choice? Try and win a Taylor Swift ticket from one of the competitions we’ve nicely rounded up for you.

Ticketek Is The Only Safe Way To Buy Resell Taylor Swift Tickets

The  Ticketek Fan To Fan Marketplace  launched on Friday 24th November at 10am AEST and it’s here that fans can buy — or sell — any of their tickets.

As an official reseller, you’re guaranteed that every ticket you buy will be legit. Tickets also won’t be able to be priced more than 10 per cent above their original cost, so eat a bag of dicks, scalpers!!!

Ticketek is the only authorised reseller of Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets in Australia. Whether you’re looking for either Sydney or Melbourne resale tickets, please don’t fall for a scammy site in desperation.

Ticketet have also said that they will be taking extreme measures to reduce ticket scalping, like withholding the release of barcodes until closer to the event. Hot.

So if you don’t want to worry about potentially buying a dodgy ticket, Ticketek’s Fan To Fan Marketplace is your best bet.

Unfortunately, we have no idea how many tickets will be available on the resell site. Taylor Swift resell tickets are some of the hottest property in Australia, and anecdotally, we’ve heard it’s been frustrating to find anything.

Other Taylor Swift Resale Ticket Sites: Tixel, Viagogo, The Ticket Merchant

Ticketek recommends you don’t buy tickets from any unauthorised outlets, including Viagogo, The Ticket Merchant, Tixel, Trade Me, eBay and Gumtree.

They’ve also stated that using other resale sites “may result in all your orders and tickets cancelled without notice to you and your ticket price refunded.”

But what if it’s an absolute clusterfuck over on Ticketek’s ticket resale site?

If it’s slim pickings and you’re willing to risk it for Taylor Swift’s metaphorical biscuit, here’s the deal on third-party ticket resale sites, including Tixel, Viagogo and The Ticket Merchant.

Is Tixel legit?: Taylor Swift Eras Tour Tickets

Just like Ticketek, tickets on Tixel are capped at a markup price of 10 per cent of the face value. They say they have anti-fraud technology which automatically detects the face value of the ticket.

“This not only ensures we are compliant with all relevant legislation but also makes our platform unappealing to scalpers who are unable to make any meaningful profit on their tickets,” a Tixel spokesperson told PEDESTRIAN.TV.

“If you want to do something shady, you’re not doing it on Tixel.”

In order to ensure that all tickets are legit, Tixel says that they go through a complex validation process, including checks to see if tickets have been modified or tampered with, as well as all tickets undergoing a “fraud scoring system”. Basically, this means they use a bunch of fancy techy-tech things (computers, probs) to check that your ticket is real.

The final step to their process is that they hold onto a seller’s money until after the event takes place — that way, if you get to the stadium’s gates and your ticket isn’t scanning and you can’t actually see Tay do her thang, you won’t pay a cent.

Personally, I’ve actually used Tixel a bunch, including most recently to Sydney’s The 1975 show (I know, I know) and it’s always been a pretty posi experience.

You can jump on the Tixel waitlist (which already has thousands of people on it) and be notified if a ticket becomes available. You can also set up ‘auto-buy’, which will automatically buy you a ticket if it fits your cost and category and seat parameters .

“We are safe. We are fair,” the spokesperson said.

Tixel have shared some hot tips with PEDESTRIAN.TV which should help increase your chances of nabbing Taylor Swift tickets on Tixel.

Tips for Taylor Swift Resale Tickets in Australia

  • Join the Tixel waitlists ( for all SEVEN shows ) so you’re notified as soon as another fan lists a ticket for sale. They have set up ‘auto-buy’ so you can opt-in to automatically purchase a ticket immediately after it lists — this will bump you ahead of others on the waitlist.
  • Be patient. People WILL need to sell tickets, plans change, a group buying effort ended up with extra tickets, etc. The biggest volume of resale tickets trade in the 72 hours prior to an event.
  • Please, please, please avoid the scalpers and criminals. Don’t support exorbitant markups and if a ticket looks too good to be true, it’s because it probably is.

Is Viagogo safe?: Taylor Swift Eras Tour Tickets

Short answer: not really.

Viagogo is another ticket resale platform that’s been soaked in controversy over the years (TL;DR: don’t brand yourself as an ‘official’ resale site if you’re… uh, not official ). It’s already been smashed with scalpers taking to the site to list Taylor Swift tickets for five times their original price, despite anti-scalping laws in NSW and Victoria.

The Viagogo guarantee says that buyers are guaranteed to receive their tickets in time for an event, but if a problem arises, they say they’ll step in with replacement tickets or a refund.

However, many people on Reddit have said, and I quote, “Viagogo is the scammiest piece of shit around”.

Well damn, that’s one way to put it.

Tips for Reselling Taylor Swift Tickets on Viagogo

Short answer: don’t. It’s not worth it when the potential to get scammed is this high.

Is The Ticket Merchant a real website and should you buy Eras Tour tickets on it?

Yes, it’s a real website. But is it the best place to buy Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets on? Probably not — that’d be Ticketek’s official resale site.

The Ticket Merchant is an Australian-owned and operated ticket marketplace. They say that they only sell tickets “provided to us by long-term, trusted Australian resellers who we personally know”. They say that this helps them guarantee the authenticity of each ticket sold.

They also provide a 100 per cent guarantee of a refund in the event that you don’t receive your tickets.

Prices are determined by sellers, so it’s likely that they’ll be far above face value, despite the NSW and Victorian pricing regulations.

How much can ticket scalpers actually charge?

We first have to preface this with the reality that many people take the opportunity to resell tickets to showcase the very worst of humanity — hiking up ticket prices, fraudulent tickets, and just general douchebaggery isn’t uncommon, especially when we’re looking at resellers.

Just take for instance some cooked activity on ticket resale sites with scalpers already putting up a bunch of tickets for some absolutely cooked prices, including one ticket on Viagogo for $5,890. Yikes.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been declared a “major event” which means that ticket scalping is illegal for all Taylor Swift shows.

Both NSW and Victoria have anti-scalping laws that prevent people from being able to resell tickets at fucked prices. In NSW, this means you can’t sell tickets for more than 10 per cent above the original price. Victoria also has a 10 per cent cap, but this is only for designated “major events”, of which the Eras Tour most definitely is.

Good luck out there, Swifties. You’re gonna need it.

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Onsale Explained

ticketmaster statement logo

W e strive to make ticket buying as easy as possible for fans, but that hasn’t been the case for many people trying to buy tickets for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour. First, we want to apologize to Taylor and all of her fans – especially those who had a terrible experience trying to purchase tickets. Next, we feel we owe it to everyone to share some information to help explain what happened:

We Knew a Record Number Of Fans Wanted Tickets to Taylor’s Tour

  • By requiring registrations, Verified Fan is designed to help manage high demand shows – identifying real humans and weeding out bots. Keeping bots out of queues and avoiding overcrowding helps to make wait times shorter and onsales smoother.
  • Based on fan interest at registration we knew this would be big. Over 3.5 million people pre-registered for TaylorSwiftTix Presale powered by Verified Fan, which is the largest registration in history.
  • Historically, around 40% of invited fans actually show up and buy tickets, and most purchase an average of 3 tickets. Around 1.5 million people were sent codes to join the onsale for all 52 show dates, including the 47 sold by Ticketmaster.
  • The remaining 2 million Verified Fans were placed on a waiting list on the small chance that tickets might still be available after those who received codes had shopped.

The Demand for Tickets to Taylor’s Tour Broke Records – & Parts Of Our Website

  • Historically, we’ve been able to manage huge volume coming into the site to shop for tickets, so those with Verified Fan codes have a smooth shopping process. However, this time the staggering number of bot attacks as well as fans who didn’t have codes drove unprecedented traffic on our site, resulting in 3.5 billion total system requests – 4x our previous peak.
  • We handle onsales for countless top tours, some of the biggest sporting events, and more.  Never before has a Verified Fan onsale sparked so much attention – or traffic. This disrupted the predictability and reliability that is the hallmark of our Verified Fan platform. Here’s a look at how that traffic compared to every other day on our site this year:

Taylor swift the eras tour average traffic map

  • It usually takes us about an hour to sell through a stadium show, but we slowed down some sales and pushed back others to stabilize the systems. The trade off was longer wait times in queue for some fans.
  • Overall, we estimate about 15% of interactions across the site experienced issues, and that’s 15% too many, including passcode validation errors that caused fans to lose tickets they had carted.

Despite the Disruptions a New Sales Records Was Set

  • Over 2 million tickets were sold on Ticketmaster for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour on Nov. 15 – the most tickets ever sold for an artist in a single day.
  • All 2 million tickets for the Verified Fan onsale were sold to Verified Fans. Only ticket buyers who were verified were permitted to enter a queue. Verification is tied to a user’s account and validated at login, which is why users only had to login to enter the queue. For additional security, ticket buyers also had to enter their unique code to complete their purchase. No one who wasn’t verified was allowed to enter the queue, but the huge traffic hitting the site overall meant we had to slow down queues to keep them stable.
  • 2.4 million tickets have been sold for the tour overall across onsales for Verified Fans and Capital One cardholders, on both Ticketmaster and SeatGeek.
  • Less than 5% of the tickets for the tour have been sold or posted for resale on the secondary market. Onsales that don’t use Verified Fan typically see 20-30% of inventory end up on secondary markets.

The biggest venues and artists turn to us because we have the leading ticketing technology in the world – that doesn’t mean it’s perfect, and clearly for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour onsale it wasn’t. But we’re always working to improve the ticket buying experience. Especially for high demand onsales, which continue to test new limits.

We’re working to shore up our tech for the new bar that has been set by demand for the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour. Once we get through that, if there are any next steps, updates will be shared accordingly.

Even when a high demand onsale goes flawlessly from a tech perspective, many fans are left empty handed. For example: based on the volume of traffic to our site, Taylor would need to perform over 900 stadium shows (almost 20x the number of shows she is doing)…that’s a stadium show every single night for the next 2.5 years. While it’s impossible for everyone to get tickets to these shows, we know we can do more to improve the experience and that’s what we’re focused on.

Ticketmaster is the world’s largest ticket marketplace and the global market leader in live event ticketing products and services. Through official partnerships with thousands of venues, artists, sports teams, festivals, performing arts centers and theaters, Ticketmaster processes 500 million tickets per year across 30+ different countries. Ticketmaster is a part of Live Nation Entertainment (NYSE: LYV).

Yes, I Just Made $20,000 off Taylor Swift Tickets

I didn’t set out to get rich this way—it just sorta happened..

In What It’s Like , people tell us, well, what it’s like to have experiences many of us have not even imagined. This summer, Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour was lauded for generating $5 billion in consumer spending in the United States. Some of the tour’s economic impact trickled down to average concertgoers who were able to turn a major profit on ticket resales. The inflationary nature of the “Eras” tour’s ticket prices left many in disbelief that people were willing and able to pay that much for a single concert. In this entry, we spoke to a Jersey City mother who managed to resell four Taylor Swift tickets for a whopping $20,000. Her ticket sales have been internally verified.

I had bought Taylor Swift “Eras” tour tickets to celebrate my daughter’s and niece’s eighth grade graduation. I was planning to fly my sister and niece from L.A. out to Jersey City over Memorial Day weekend to catch Taylor’s Saturday show at MetLife Stadium. We’re all pretty big Swifties, and this was going to be a celebratory girls’ night out.

I bought my tickets on Nov. 15, 2022, on Ticketmaster as a verified fan. I remember logging on around 9 or 10 a.m. and only having to wait in line for two hours—I was pretty fortunate and managed to snag four VIP tickets for around $800 each. After Ticketmaster fees, my total ended up coming out to $3,472 for four tickets. The VIP section came with these cute little boxes filled with stickers, glow bracelets, and posters.

We’re not a huge concertgoing family, so this was going to be a big outing for us—my daughter had been begging us to go to the “Eras” tour, and it would be her first-ever concert. I really like Taylor Swift as a performer and think she’s a great role model for the kids. I think the way she puts on a concert is a good representation for young teens (my daughter is 13) and she would make a fantastic first show.

Our show was in May, and in the lead-up to the concert, my daughter and niece listened to all of Taylor’s records, getting ready. Around early April, I went on StubHub, just curious to see how much tickets were going for. I was shocked to find that they were selling for a lot . So, I decided to list them—if I could sell the tickets for $5,000 each, I would let them go. If not, we would go to the show.

The intention was never to buy to sell. I wasn’t a scalper—I had originally bought the tickets because we all wanted to go to the concert. But when I saw how much they were going for, I thought, If I could make five times what I purchased them for, it would be great ROI .

It was my first time ever trying to sell something on StubHub, and the experience ended up being very easy. When I put up my tickets, I stipulated that you had to buy all of them. When I looked at the VIP section, I saw that you couldn’t really get four tickets together, so mine was one of the few where you could get four seats in a row. I selected that I wanted to take home $5,000 each for them, and StubHub listed them for $6,275 each to account for all their fees. I didn’t want to be too greedy and ask for $7,000 or something—I wanted to find a happy medium where it would be worth it for me to give up the seats but also make it possible for them to sell.

About two weeks before the concert, the tickets were purchased. A few weeks later, $20,000 was wired into our bank account! I was so excited I told everyone I knew. That’s a lot of money—there was so much we could do with it. I truly couldn’t believe that people were willing to buy tickets for that amount. I actually ended up looking up the guy who bought my tickets and found out he was the CEO of a company.

When I broke the news to my daughter and niece, they were both really, really disappointed. But I told them we could use the money to do a huge family trip in the summer, and they understood.

So we ended up renting out an entire villa in Vancouver over the summer. That $20,000 paid for a family reunion—I was able to completely cover airfare, lodging, and all meals and activities for 13 people. The house we rented was amazing—six or seven bedrooms, with an elevator and a gorgeous view of the harbor and the water. We went for a week and we did all the sights. We went shopping downtown, saw the Capilano Suspension Bridge, went kayaking, and ate some amazing meals.

Even though my daughter and niece had been sad about missing out on the concert, they were really happy hanging out with each other during that vacation. For a three-hour show, I was able to cover a full weeklong trip for 13 family members. It was definitely worth it.

I still have a hard time believing that people are willing to pay so much for a concert. If you look at the tour now, people are still reselling for such high amounts. At one point, I felt very bad about selling the tickets because the girls really wanted to go, so the weekend of the show, I went on StubHub to see if I could get last-minute tickets. The lowest price tier in the nosebleeds was going for $2,000 per ticket, and I said, “No way.” That was almost as much as I had paid for four tickets originally.

We were also hoping to get tickets in either Toronto or L.A., but prices were just as high in those cities. I think I just got very lucky with the presale on Ticketmaster originally. For me, this was definitely a one-off thing, and I don’t ever plan on doing something like this intentionally. It just so happened that we could make a lot of money on this, and so I took my chances and walked away with $20,000.

I know Taylor is returning to the United States next year for additional dates on the “Eras” tour. I think if we can get the tickets, I would love to take the girls to the concert. But only if I’m able to purchase them at face value.

The Eras Tour , Swift’s first tour in five years, was announced in November 2022. Presale tickets for the tour went on sale via Ticketmaster that month. Another batch of presale tickets for her 2024 tour stops in Vancouver and new tickets for Australia and Sweden went on sale late last year.

Swift partnered with Capital One on exclusive tickets available for Capital One cardholders. As can be expected, passes to see Swift live remain one of the hottest concert tickets on the market, so we’re breaking down what you need to know so you can secure a seat.

See below for information on how to get last-minute tickets to international stops on Swift’s Eras Tour. Check out the new list of tour dates here .

How Much Do Last-Minute Eras Tour Tickets Cost?

Resale tickets for The Eras Tour are currently available online for concerts in the U.K. and other locations.

How much are last-minute tickets? There’s more than one way to score Eras Tour tickets, but expect to spend at least a few hundred bucks on a ticket, depending on the seats and date of the show.

Swift is slated to perform at Wembley Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 15 though Saturday, Aug. 20 . Tickets are scarce and selling fast — especially in the last hour (more than 72,000 people were looking at tickets when we last checked). The Eras Tour has stopped in Spain, Sweden, Portugal and Japan and will circling back to the U.S. this fall.

Tickets for the North American leg are currently available at StubHub , Vivid Seats and Seat Geek , although pricing usually range from around $600 and up, demand is high, so most of the tickets are currently priced over $1,000 at StubHub and other ticket sites. For fans who want to catch Swift’s opening night in Miami on October 18 , tickets prices are currently spiking to more than $2,000 .

Looking for the cheapest tickets ? Searching different sites will give you a better chance of landing tickets at a lower price point, but we did some of the digging for you.

At press time, tickets to Wembley start at around $500-$600 , although some of the in-demand tickets are priced well above $2,000 at StubHub , which is around the same prices that you might find on sites such as Ticketsmarter while TicketNetwork only has tickets for her shows in the U.S. To score a discount, use code BB2024 and save $20 off purchases of $200 or more at Vivid Seats . Used code BILLBOARD150 to save $150 off $300 or more and code BILLBOARD300 to save $300 off $1,000 or more at TicketNetwork .

The Eras Tour is a celebration of all 10 of the studio albums Swift has released since 2006. The massively successful tour has raked in over $1 billion . But with the launch of a new album era, Swift has been incorporating Tortured Poets into the tour for a section dubbed, “Female Rage: The Musical.”

“I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time. I’ve been planning for ages and I finally get to tell you: I’m going back on tour,” Swift said on  GMA , announcing the news. “The tour is called the Eras tour and it’s a journey through all of the musical eras of my career.”

Didn't manage to get Taylor Swift tickets? Here's how to avoid getting scammed on the resale

By Velvet Winter

Missed out on Taylor Swift tickets this week? Of course, you did! So, here's how to avoid getting scammed on the resale.

This week Ticketek reported that  4 million people logged on to pre-sales to try and nab the 450,000-odd tickets to the Australian leg of the musician's Eras Tour.

And advantageous scalpers are already trying to take advantage of die-hard Swifties.

Shortly after the AMEX pre-sale on Monday, where only the $1,200 and $900 VIP packages were available, secondary resale platforms were already hocking tickets for more than $3,000 a pop.

But these tickets don't even exist yet.

According to Frontier Touring, all Australian tickets to the Eras Tour will be suppressed until a week before the gigs in an effort to clamp down on scalping.

"Obviously, people are trying to sell the promise of a ticket which is a very dangerous proposition," Choice spokesperson Jarni Blakkarly told ABC News.

"There's a real risk and danger from these ticket reselling websites. We've also had multiple reports of people buying scalped tickets to tours in the past and the tickets being faked or cancelled or them being turned away at the venue."

Scalping not a new problem in Australia

In 2020, secondary ticketing platform Viagogo was fined $7 million   in an Australian federal case brought by the ACCC for misleading consumers on the sale of live music and sporting tickets.

The punishment was upheld on appeal in 2022.

But that hasn't stopped the platform from listing Australia Eras tour tickets for up to double the face value.

"Ticket scalping continues to be a major challenge for artists and promoters, particularly through some online platforms and marketplaces," Live Performance Australia's Matt Francis told ABC News.

"As shows and concert tours have returned after the pandemic, so have the scalpers who are using increasingly sophisticated methods to try and disrupt the ticketing market, including through 'bot' technology."

A Viagogo representative confirmed the site does not sell tickets, but is instead a "Marketplace that connects ticket sellers with fans on an open, secure and transparent platform".

"In response to Victoria declaring the Taylor Swift tour a major event, we have taken the necessary measures to ensure our platform is in full compliance with federal and state law in Australia," the spokesperson also confirmed.

Eras Tour a target for scalpers in the US

Swift announced the first US leg of her career-spanning Eras tour at the end of 2022, sending her sizeable fanbase into a ticket-buying frenzy.

The first day of ticket sales crashed the Ticketmaster website. Live Nation said they were expecting 1.5 million fans to turn up to the pre-sale, 14 million tried to log on instead.

But as soon as fans were able to get their hands on tickets, scalpers were there to take advantage of fans who hadn't been so lucky.

Due to more lax ticketing laws in the US, Eras tickets are being sold for soaring prices.

At the time of writing, tickets to the Kansas City show on July 7 are going for as much as $US22,000 ($33,000) a pair on third party reseller StubHub.

Eras Tour tickets are being sold for tens of thousands of dollars via third party platforms in the US. ( supplied) )

"In the US, because so many Swifties couldn't afford to buy tickets from scalpers (or had been scammed), fans resorted to creating a marketplace to buy and sell tickets at face value on Twitter," RMIT Music Industry expert Kate Pattison said.

"Australia has better laws around resales, which will hopefully mean that the resale prices can't get up into the thousands."

What are the laws against scalping in Australia?

While the situation with Viagogo pushed Australian governments to increase legislation around ticket scalping, laws still vary slightly from state to state.

In Victoria, where Swift is performing three nights at the MCG, it's an offence to resell and advertise tickets to a declared major event at over 10 per cent of its original value with penalties of up to $109,044 for individuals and $545,200 for companies.

But some high-end VIP tickets to Swift were sold on Monday via the AMEX pre-sale before it was declared a major event.

Victorian Tourism, Sport and Major Events Minister Steve Dimopoulos confirmed tickets bought and resold before the declaration were not covered by the state's anti-scalping rules.

"But that was only a small number," he told Melbourne radio station 3AW on Wednesday.

New South Wales, where Swift is performing four nights at Accor Stadium, also outlawed tickets being sold for more than 10 per cent above the original value with fines of $110,000 for corporations and $22,000 for individuals.

Other Australian states and territories operate under a similar 10 per cent rule, with slightly different specific and punishments.

Both the consumer advocacy group Choice and Live Performance Australia (LPA) say a national approach would be more beneficial for Australians.

"We think there should be a national approach," Choice's Mr Blakkarly said.

"We think that it shouldn't matter if you're in Melbourne or Sydney, you should have the same consumer protections."

"More consistent regulation would be helpful in cracking down on unauthorised resellers online," LPA's Matt Francis told ABC News.

So, how do I buy Taylor Swift resale tickets without getting scammed?

The only way to 100 per cent guarantee that you are buying legitimate Eras tour resale tickets is to buy them from Ticketek resale platform TMarketplace .

TMarketplace will give fans who can no longer go to the show the chance to place their tickets up for sale, but they must also not charge 10 per cent above the original cost.

And if you try to buy your ticket from a dodgy site it could end disastrously.

"Tickets which are resold through unauthorised outlets may be cancelled or you might be sold tickets which don't exist," Mr Francis said.

"The initial disappointment of missing out on a ticket will be compounded several times over by paying an inflated price to an unauthorised reseller only to be turned away at the venue because of a dodgy or voided ticket."

And Frontier Touring is making sure to drive that message home, as per their website:

"Any Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour ticket offered for resale elsewhere, either on or offline (including Viagogo, The Ticket Merchant, Tixel, Trade Me, eBay, and Gumtree, or any other unauthorised source including all secondary ticket retail websites, and social media Buy Swap Swell pages), may result in all your orders and tickets cancelled without notice to you and your ticket price refunded. The original purchaser and their party will be refused admission and any other orders and tickets they hold will also be cancelled without notice to them and their ticket price refunded."

The Ticketek Australia resell platform for The Eras Tour will open on Monday September 4 .

On Aug. 29, Taylor Nation (Swift’s official fan club) started DMing a few lucky Swifties who completed all album-themed tasks, and awarded them with tickets to an upcoming show. TikToker @kayla.love07 is one fan who got a surprise comment from TN, and will be going to see the Eras Tour this year.

If you missed out on one of the weeks, no worries. There’s still time to complete all tasks. To begin, search #TSTheErasTour on TikTok and click the banner at the top of the page.

I Went The StubHub Route For My Eras Tour Tickets

This may be the more expensive route to secure last-minute Swift tickets, but it is the most accessible. If you’re banking on prices going down, don’t! It used to be that you could refresh Ticketmaster or StubHub for resale tickets at a decent price a few hours before a show, but that’s not necessarily the case anymore. Now, you’ll see tickets with partial views and in the worst sections that are still overpriced after a concert has started.

I got last-minute tickets to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

It’s a gamble you may not be willing to play. Instead, set a price range for yourself that you’d be willing to spend on tickets. The week before your show, keep refreshing sites like StubHub, SeatGeek, and even Gametime for resale tickets that are in that range. I set a price I was willing to pay before taxes and fees, and finally found one ticket while randomly checking StubHub right before bed. It can happen at any time of the day, so you have to be ready for it.

If you see something you’re willing to buy, go for it. You don’t want to be wishing you would’ve, could’ve, should’ve bought them once they’re gone. Just be mindful that certain show dates have rules on resale tickets .

Cities with a “lead booker” policy in place means those tickets are non-transferable, and the person who bought them must be present at the gate.

Ticketmaster May Drop Extra Tickets Before The Show, Too

Ticketmaster may drop last-minute tickets to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour for anyone looking in 2024.

Swifties have bad blood with Ticketmaster after it poorly handled the presale and canceled the general sale for The Eras Tour . During the first U.S. leg of the tour, the company was also magically finding last-minute tickets to shows the week of and sometimes an hour after a show started . For anyone who doesn’t mind being glued to their computer and hitting the refresh button nonstop, you may want to keep checking Ticketmaster for spontaneous drops.

Some Swifties who were selected for verified fan presale have also reported that Ticketmaster has been sending out codes at least two weeks before each show as well for additional tickets. Just remember codes are tied to each Ticketmaster account , so if it wasn’t sent to you, you may not be able to use it.

Swifties on Twitter will let other fans know when Ticketmaster drops extra tickets, so it’s best to follow different accounts and turn on your notifications. One Twitter account that has been really great about keeping Swifties informed is Eras Tour Resell ( @ErasTourResell ).

You Can Find Fellow Swifties Selling Their Tickets At Face Value

Fans attending Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour know how to get last-minute tickets through Ticketmaster...

Eras Tour Resell has been doing the lord's work helping Swifties find tickets that aren’t a scam. Through the account, sellers can list extra tickets for The Eras Tour so that other Swifties can buy them instead of scalpers. It makes sure to verify listings, and encourages everyone to buy and sell their tickets for face value. While this is probably the cheapest way to buy last-minute Swift tickets, it is incredibly difficult.

Once a ticket is verified, Eras Tour Resell will tweet out all the information and who to DM to get it. Since the account has become so popular with nearly 285K followers, you have to be ready to jump on each post as soon as it goes up. That means you need to set Twitter notifications and have your phone on you at all times. Even if you are the first person to DM the seller, it’s not a guarantee they’ll pick you. The account also prioritizes tickets for shows that week, so if you’re looking for a concert next month, you probably won’t see it for awhile.

In addition to Swiftie resale accounts, look around Twitter, Craigslist, or even put a call out on your socials for tickets from other fans. Content creator and Swiftie Francis Dominic ( @francisdominiic ) has been to at least 12 shows already. When asked by one of his followers how he’s able to go to so many, he responded, “Ticketmaster, OfferUp, Twitter, Craigslist, and IG. I exhaust all of my resources.” The only downside to random resellers is you don’t have Eras Tour Resell to verify you’re not getting ripped off.

Lucky Ones Can Enter A Contest For Eras Tour Tickets

A Swiftie got last-minute Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets through a radio contest.

The cheapest way to snag last-minute Swift tickets is to win a contest. You’ve probably seen quite a few social media contests where you have to like, follow, and comment on an IG post in order to win tickets. While you may think the odds aren’t in your favor, there is still a chance.

Anna Tegarden ( @taylormermaidcat ) won tickets to one of Swift’s shows in Tampa, which is how she was able to see all three nights of the Eras Tour in Florida. Tegarden shares with Elite Daily, “I’m constantly entering contests and trying to win tickets. I’ll read the fine print to see if it’s an enter daily contest, or just a one-time entry.” She won her tickets through a radio contest where she had to call into a station after hearing two Swift songs in a row.

Win Tickets To Through Marriott Bonvoy, Capital One, & More

Fans can win tickets to the Taylor Swift in Miami to see 'The Tortured Poets Department' live.

For Swift’s Oct. 20 show in Miami, the Brightline train has a contest that will get you to “the big concert” in musical style. Now through Sept. 20, fans can enter to win two tickets to the Eras Tour at Hard Rock Stadium and round trip transportation on a sing-along Swift-inspired karaoke train from Orlando, Florida. You’ll also receive complimentary food and drinks from Mary Mary Bar.

All you need to do to win is be 18 years and older, follow @gobrightline on Instagram, and sign the safety pledge before Sept. 20.

Fans can see Taylor Swift at The Eras Tour thanks to Marriott Bonvoy sweepstakes.

If you’ve got plans to attend another one of Swift’s upcoming North American concerts, Marriott Bonvoy may be your best bet. Its “Where Can We Take You?” concert package gets you two tickets to see the Eras Tour in select cities, along with a welcome gift. Entry periods vary depending on which show you’d like to attend, and includes the following dates:

  • Indianapolis, IN November 1-3 — entry period closes Sept. 4
  • Toronto, ON Canada November 14-16 & 21-23 — entry period closes Sept. 8
  • Vancouver, BC Canada December 6-8 — entry period closes Oct. 9

Marriott Bonvoy also has the Vancouver Ultimate Concert Experience sweepstakes that gets one lucky Swiftie a four-day/three-night trip for two to one of Swift’s Vancouver shows, along with travel, hotel accommodations, concert tickets, and a welcome gift. The entry period for that closes on Oct. 9, and for all Marriott Bonvoy packages you need to enter by becoming a member and creating an account.

Swifties have to work to find last-minutes Eras Tour tickets to see Taylor Swift in 2024.

With all these methods, finding a ticket to the Eras Tour is like a part-time job. You have to be willing to work hard, keep your phone with you at all times, and always be on the lookout. If you really want to scream-sing the bridge to “Cruel Summer,” admire Swift twirling in her folklore dress, and be there as she plays your fave song during the surprise acoustic set , let the ticket games begin.

Can you resell Taylor Swift tickets? Where to buy and sell Eras tour tickets

T aylor Swift’s Eras Tour is arriving to the UK after the pop star announced two more Wembley dates in August after the show sold out within minutes.

The award-winning singer will play a total of eight nights at Wembley Stadium – equalling a record held by Take That – leaving ‘Swifties’ another chance to buy tickets after the singer for her additional show dates on 19 and 20 August.

This has left some fans wondering if they can exchange, swap or resell their tickets for the new dates of the tour.

Where to buy tickets?

Those who previously registered for Swift’s shows in London received an email notification on 14 November, giving them access to ticket sales for her record-breaking tour.

Ticketmaster and AXS are the official websites to purchase tickets with listings for the newly announced concerts suggesting the general sale for the 19 August show went live on 14 November, while sales for 20 August should start on 15 November.

Those lucky enough to secure their spot in the crowd will also get to see rock band Paramore perform, who is billed to be the opening act.

Can you resell Taylor swift tickets?

While prices start at £58.65 for the cheapest seated tickets, fans can pay as much as £194.75 for seats closer to the stage.

Fans can resell their tickets at the official resale facilities provided by the official ticket agents – Ticketmaster or AXS –from 1 August 2023, according to the Ticketmaster website .

There are also three VIP packages available ranging from £222.60 to £387.40 and these tickets can also be resold.

In addition to the official resale facilities, fans will also be able to transfer their tickets with friends and family via the Ticketmaster app or website.

But dates for ticket transfers have not yet been released and fans will be notified much closer to the date of the shows via email.

With the demand for tickets so high, tickets on websites such as Viagogo and Stubhub already have tickets being resold, with some listings as high as £869.

But the Ticketmaster website warns that tickets found to be purchased outside of their official ticket office will not be valid for entry into the concerts and will be cancelled.

The Eras Tour so far

Swift, 33, has previously announced six dates at Wembley Stadium on 21, 22, 23 June and 15, 16, 17 August.

The singer will also star in shows in Edinburgh on June 8 and 9 in Murrayfield, before heading south to play in Liverpool’s Anfield football stadium on June 13, 14, 15 – and in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 18.

The Eras Tour is currently set to gross over $1bn, which would make it the highest-grossing live tour of all time, eclipsing Elton’s John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

Meanwhile, the film version of the tour – a recording from her concert in Los Angeles – broke the record for the most profitable concert film in history, one week before its release.

When can you buy resale tickets for Taylor Swift’s London Eras Tour dates?

era tour resale

There is another chance to get tickets for the UK leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour with a resale being held on Tuesday.

Hundreds of thousands of seats at some of the country’s largest stadiums sold out in minutes when they went on sale on July 17 - including her six dates at Wembley Stadium.

Fans were subjected to a booking process that required a pre-registration code and also required a loophole that meant the buyer had to attend - which caught out some who had asked a relative to book for them.

However, unlucky fans will get another chance on Tuesday. Ticketmaster and AXS will be holding a resale from 4pm and all one needs to do is register with the sites in advance and then be prepared to wait in a lengthy queue.

Tickets are being sold by buyers who wish to sell their tickets. Potential sellers have been emailed by Ticketmaster and AXS with instructions and the ticket websites have confirmed that tickets are only able to be resold via official partners.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Eras tour and when you can buy resale tickets.

Ticket scalping and purchasing resale tickets

Do not purchase tickets from anywhere other than the official ticketing agency.

Please read the  Live Performance Australia Safe Tix Guide .

We have not allocated any tickets for the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour to unauthorised resellers (which include but are not limited to Viagogo; Stubhub; Ticketfinders; The Ticket Merchant; Worldticketshop; and Tixel).

We cannot guarantee any ticket purchased through unauthorised resellers or via websites such as eBay, Gumtree and social media Buy Swap Sell pages. To make sure you pay the correct ticket price and receive valid tickets, you must purchase via Ticketek Australia.

Frontier and Ticketek are not responsible for unauthorised ticket disputes and are unable to assist you if you purchase outside the official ticketing agency (Ticketek Australia).

What is unethical secondary ticketing and ticket resale?

Unethical secondary ticketing is when people buy tickets at face value and then resell them at inflated prices via unapproved methods and websites, thus denying real fans the chance to buy at face value.

This includes ticket touts and unauthorised resellers who use multiple payment cards, false identities and sophisticated computer programmes (‘bots’) to buy up large amounts of tickets which they then offer for resale at highly inflated prices.

How do I safely sell my tickets?

The reselling of any Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour ticket is strictly forbidden other than through Ticketek's official resale platform (called Ticketek Marketplace). Ticketek Marketplace is accessible HERE .

Ticketek Marketplace opened for the listing and resale of tickets at 10am AEDT on Friday 24 November 2023 and is available up until12pm AEDT on the show date for all tickets except VIP Packages and Hotel + Ticket Packages.

What else are you doing to combat the secondary market?

Your mobile phone number is linked to your ticket order. Your tickets are linked to both your Ticketek account AND your mobile phone number. This means your ticket and the individual information you gave when you purchased your ticket are linked. If a ticket is resold in any method other than via Ticketek's official resale platform, then the mobile phone number will not be linked to the ticket(s) and you will be refused entry to the venue.

What do I do if I get to the venue and believe I have purchased a fraudulent ticket?

If you have purchased tickets from anywhere other than the authorised ticketing agency, Ticketek, or their resale platform, Ticketek Marketplace, you risk not being granted entry to the venue. If you have any issues with your ticket on show day, please head directly to the venue Box Office. Please note, Box Office staff cannot assist those who may have obtained tickets through channels other than Ticketek or Ticketek Marketplace. You must have valid photo ID which matches the name of the Ticketek account for the Box Office staff to be able to assist you.

Melbourne Cricket Ground’s Box Office can be found at Gate 3 on the Northern side of the ground and at Gate 6 on the Shane Warne Stand side.

Accor Stadium’s Box Office can be found at Gates A/B and Gates J/K.

Donald Trump begins selling knock-off Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' t-shirts

era tour resale

Former President Donald Trump said he wasn't a Taylor Swift fan after the star endorsed his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, for president. However, his campaign can't say the same about the musician's merch design.

On Thursday, the Trump campaign posted on X "calling all Swifties for Trump" to get their "Trump Era shirt today." It included a link to an item on the official Trump-Vance merchandise website that closely mimics Swift's signature Eras Tour t-shirt.

Priced at $36, the "Trump Era White T-Shirt" features a black-and-white photo of the Republican presidential nominee surrounded by nine other images of him in different colored squares. Underneath the grid, two lines of text read "Donald J. Trump" and "Make America Great Again."

On Swift's official store website , various shirts and crewnecks feature a nearly identical design: A black-and-white image of the singer is centered among nine other images from her different album "eras," all colored with nearly the exact same tint and arrangement used in Trump's "Era" t-shirt. Also, the two lines of text underneath the grid reading "Taylor Swift" and "The Eras Tour" appear in a very similar font.

The similarities seemed to strike a chord with Swifties, who responded to the Trump campaign's post about the new t-shirt calling it his "lawsuit era" or saying he "deserves a cease and desist."

The new merchandise item appeared on Trump's website two days after his debate with Harris, which was also the night Swift announced her support for the Democratic candidate.

RELATED STORY | Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris for president

"I'm voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos," Swift wrote on Instagram, also voicing support for Harris' running mate, Gov. Tim Walz.

Swift also denounced Trump's use of AI images of her that falsely endorsed his presidential run, which she says brought her to the conclusion that she needed to make her true stance transparent.

Within an hour of her post, the Democratic campaign's store also took a note from the Swift — or rather, Swiftie — merchandise playbook and began selling "Harris-Walz friendship bracelets," with a description that read, in part, "Are you ready for it?" It's a nod to the megastar's song "...Ready For It?" from her 2017 album "reputation" and to an "Eras Tour" pastime involving the swapping of similar handmade bracelets, which was inspired by a lyric in Swift's 2022 song "You're On Your Own, Kid."

The campaign bracelets, listed at $20 each, are expected to be released Sept. 24 following the presale that began on Tuesday, but the Harris-Walz official store says they're already sold out.

Swift has been vocal about her support for Democratic candidates in the past, confirming in 2020 that she'd be voting for President Biden and Harris. The following year, she told Vanity Fair that Trump's presidency pushed her to educate herself and then publicly support the "leadership that moves us beyond this divisive, heartbreaking moment in time."

Trump appeared to note her political history on "Fox & Friends" the morning after the debate, telling the hosts it "was just a question of time" that she'd endorse a Democrat" and calling her "a very liberal person." But he also said her endorsement would lead her to "probably pay a price for it in the marketplace."
