Described as “ anthemic, life affirming pop rock ” by the New York Times, Bleachers are fronted by globally celebrated, eight-time Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, musician and producer Jack Antonoff. Releasing their debut album Strange Desire in 2014, the band have built a huge and passionate following across three studio albums, becoming renowned for their impressive live show and infectious camaraderie. The band’s last album, Take The Sadness Out Of Saturday Night, took them to new heights, showcasing Antonoff’s immersive songwriting and, as Variety testified, his innate skill at “ supersizing personal stories into larger-then-life pop anthems ”.

Both with Bleachers and as a songwriter and producer, Antonoff, who in 2021 was credited by the BBC for having “ redefined pop music ”, has collaborated with the likes of Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, The 1975, Diana Ross, St Vincent, Florence & The Machine and many more. In February Jack Antonoff won Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) at the 66 th annual Grammy Awards for an incredible third consecutive year, becoming only the second producer in history to win three years running.

As always Jack and his supporting cast put on a great show. They bring great energy and good vibes. Jack makes the crowd feel accepted and his effort to make the people who come to his shows feel appreciated. I love how the band will have a mini jam sesh where Jack and Evan go back and forth trying to one up each other. Overall great experience and an awesome show!

Seeing Bleachers in concert was a down-right euphoric experience. I stumbled upon their music in the fall of 2017, and I really liked their sound -- energetic, upbeat, tinged with melancholy, but ultimately optimistic -- it suited me. I generally connect more with indie folk, so I didn't put Bleachers in my listening rotation. Still, I was excited when I saw they were coming to my hometown, because had a feeling that their music would lend itself well to live performance.

Holy crap, was I ever right! The band had a ton of energy and seemed like they were having a hell of a good time. And so was the crowd -- everyone around me was singing and shouting the lyrics and dancing and jumping around -- it was impossible not to get swept up. Lead-singer Jack Antonoff was very personable with the audience, and I was especially touched when he talked about his relationship with music, how it connects people. It may not have been the most original speech, but he seemed genuine, and, yeah, I could relate (looks like I have a new fan-crush!). I definitely feel more of a personal connection to Bleachers' music now!

I've been going through some stuff recently, but this concert filled me with joy. It was, without a doubt, the best concert I've ever been to.

I saw Bleachers I think 2 years ago in Boston and they impressed me. They put on a very fun, interactive show. They played all of their songs and their cover selection was spot on. This show was no different, amazing from beginning to end. My wife loved them so much, we hope to see them up in Portland again!

After spending a few years with the pop breakthrough band fun., Jack Antonoff was primed for success. The singer and multi-instrumentalist leads Bleachers, a dynamo alt pop act, whose riffs and hooks are just as colorful and fun as Antonoff's impressive collection of hats. With a hit album on the books in 2014's Strange Desire, as well as a slew of popular singles, fans should be sure to pick up Bleachers tickets for an electric live show every time they come to town.

Bleachers has toured major festivals and venues throughout the world. The band has played stages at Outside Lands, Somerset, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Wireless Festival and more. Led by lead singer and guitarist Jack Antonoff, the band will head out on tour again soon.

Jack Antonoff has some fond memories of his high school years in Bergen County, New Jersey. The musician formed a punk band called Outline with friends in the area, and booked shows in Florida and Texas while the group members were still teenagers. In addition, during that time Antonoff admits to briefly dating Scarlett Johansson.

Band/Singer

New York City's Jack Antonoff is a busy man. While on tour with a majorly successful band, the guitarist began working on a secret side project of his own, which eventually evolved into Bleachers, a pop rock incarnate with electronic twists and anthemic hooks. Although his work became hugely popular with fun., the group for which he played lead guitar, Antonoff eventually felt he needed to explore another musical outlet. Described in the musical project's nascent stages as Antonoff's "psychotic alter-ego," Bleachers has since carved out an impressive audience of its own.

Breakthrough

Though Jack Antonoff's project was announced to the world in mid-2013, it wasn't until February 2014 that Bleachers was unveiled as a fully formed musical force. Antonoff released the single "I Wanna Get Better" in February, which caught the ear of SPIN , Billboard , and most notably, Rolling Stone , which called it one of the "50 Best Songs of 2014." A couple months after the first single was released, the band made the announcement for their debut album in a novel way: by posting a curious New York City Craigslist ad that quoted new lyrics and listed a release date for a premiere EP called Strange Desire.

Bleachers' first album, Strange Desire , was released to critical acclaim due in part to its lead single, "I Wanna Get Better," which hit the #1 position on the Alternative charts. When it debuted, the full album premiered at an impressive #11 on the Billboard hot 200. On the album, Antonoff is credited not only with being the writer and composer, but also a multi-instrumentalist. He played keyboards, guitar, piano, drums, bass, and also contributed lead vocals to the album.

Gillian McKeith rages after being ‘scammed’ out of hundreds of pounds for Taylor Swift tickets

Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour continues in the UK – but Gillian McKeith ’s bid to get the most coveted tickets in town appears to have ended in disaster.

The American superstar, 34, has packed out stadiums across the country in recent weeks and the former TV nutritionist desperately wanted a piece of the action.

However, after Gillian believed she’d secured a pair of tickets for one of Taylor’s shows at Wembley – the June 22 date – it turned out the exact opposite had sadly occurred.

After handing over hundreds of pounds, it turned out the person she’d paid had never had tickets in the first place, leaving Gillian, 64, significantly out of pocket.

Sharing the news on social media alongside her daughter Afton, 24, Gillian had strong words for the person who ‘scammed’ her out of the precious tickets.

‘I just want to say we have a problem – we got scammed,’ she began, with the pair sitting in the back of a cab having attended a lavish do in the centre of London.

‘We had thought that we bought Taylor Swift tickets and it turned out the person was lying about having the tickets and just took our money,’ she continued.

Gillian then informed her fans that the person who claimed to have the tickets had been avoiding them: ‘And there’s been one excuse after another and they get more fantastic as each day goes on, the excuses.’

Afton then added that she was ‘devastated’ about not being able to go, with the person who scammed them apparently known to the mother-daughter pair.

‘We thought we had tickets, turns out it was all a facade and a lie just to take our money. Someone we actually knew,’ she said into the camera.

The pair then pleaded with their followers to help them secure tickets for later Wembley dates, but it’s not yet known how well that campaign is going.

Taylor’s tour is currently the subject of controversy after Foo Fighters frontman and songwriter Dave Grohl took a swipe at the Love Story singer while on stage in London.

He said: ‘I know we were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier, I know that she’s on her Eras Tour. I’m telling you – you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.

‘So we like to call our tour the Errors Tour because I feel like we’ve had more than a few eras and more than a few f*****g errors as well. That’s because we actually play live.’

Taylor is believed to have responded to Dave’s comment almost immediately, thanking her ‘live band’ the following night during the last of her Wembley shows until August.

Swiftie superfan Gillian rose to fame in the 2000s as the host of You Are What You Eat and was a regular guest on reality food health series Supersize vs Superskinny.

After appearing on numerous reality series of the era, Gillian became one of the biggest names in the health food industry via her work on TV.

She controversially competed in the 2010 series of I’m A Celebrity, famously fainting on live TV after being nominated for yet another bushtucker trial.

Gillian became only the second contestant in the show’s 10-year history (at the time) to refuse to take part in a trial, forcing ITV to refund all those who had voted for her.

Korn Ferry Tour's Memorial Health Championship returns this week. All you need to know

Last year, Paul Barjon held off Jackson Suber to win the Korn Ferry Tour's Memorial Health Championship , presented by LRS, at Panther Creek Country Club by a stroke in an exciting — albeit, weather-delayed — finish.

It was Barjon's first win on the Korn Ferry Tour in three years. That win helped catapult the French native onto the PGA Tour this season.

Who will be the next player to win Springfield and possibly earn a PGA Tour card? That question will be answered at the conclusion of the final round on Sunday. But there are enough questions that can be answered ahead of time.

Tickets to the event

Free tickets are available at https://www.memorialhealthchampionship.com , courtesy of Visit Springfield . Those tickets are good for one of the tournament's four days, starting on Thursday. Those tickets also provide spectators access to the terrace on the clubhouse patio and the bleachers on the 18th green.

A different alternative for fans who have a competitive itch themselves might be the VIP gaming lounge. For $150 per person, per day, tickets to the private gaming lounge between the Nos. 9 and 18 greens include a lunch buffet and alcohol.

Schedule of events

On Wednesday, the LRS Pro-Am will take place. The course is closed to the public.

On Thursday and Friday, there are two sessions. The first tee times, on either the No. 1 or No. 10 hole, will be from 6:45 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. The afternoon tee times will go from 11:55 a.m. until 1:55 p.m.

Tee times for Saturday and Sunday begin at 7:10 a.m. from the No. 1 tee. The champion will be crowned immediately following Sunday's final round.

Park and ride

Fans need to park at Landmark Ford , at 2401 Prairie Crossing Dr., in Springfield. Air-conditioned shuttle busses will drop fans off at Panther Creek and give fans a ride back to their vehicles after the event. Parking is free. The shuttles begin providing transportation at 6 a.m. The final shuttle leaves Panther Creek an hour after play ends each day.

Weather forecast

According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln , as of Tuesday, fans can expect to enjoy sun and an 84-degree high temperature on Thursday. On Friday, the high increases to 88 with a 40% chance of thunderstorms with 60% chance of storms overnight. On Saturday, temperatures could reach nearly 90 degrees with a 50% chance of storms. Sunday could cool down to a high of 82 with mostly sunny conditions.

On-site purchases

All concession stands will accept cash or card. However, there will be no ATM on the golf course grounds. No outside food or drink will be allowed.

What not to bring

The PGA Tour has a bag policy. Clear gallon bags, clear bags smaller than 12"x6"x12" and other, non-see through bags smaller than 6"x6"x6". For more information, go to the spectator information page on the tournament website .

Singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter has announced her upcoming North American headlining arena tour. The “ Short n’ Sweet ” tour, which kicks off September 23 in Columbus, Ohio, includes dates at New York’s Madison Square Garden and Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Amaarae , Griff and Declan McKenna will be supporting Carpenter on this tour. Carpenter has partnered with PLUS1 on this tour to launch the Sabrina Carpenter Fund, which will support the well-being of people and animals, including national and local organizations working on the issues of mental health, animal welfare, and support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Nearly six albums into her career, Carpenter made Hot 100 history with her new single “Please Please Please” debuting at No. 2, and “Espresso” rising to a new peak of No. 3 on the list. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter became the first solo act in the history of the Billboard chart to land two simultaneous top-three hits without having previously charted in that realm.

“Please Please Please” was completed by a cinematic music video starring “Saltburn” star and Carpenter’s real-life boyfriend, Barry Keoghan. The song was co-written with Amy Allen, who also helped pen “Espresso.”

The singles will appear on her new album, “Short n’ Sweet,” due out Aug. 23. “This project is quite special to me and [I] hope it’ll be something special to you too,” she wrote on social media with the announcement. Half of the LP was produced by Jack Antonoff, along with returning collaborator, Julian Bunetta, as reported by Rolling Stone.

Carpenter released her fifth album “Emails I Can’t Send” in 2022 , as well as its deluxe edition “Emails I Can’t Send Fwd” the following year. It became her highest-charting to date and boasted a hot single “Nonsense,” a song that caught fire after she provided alternate closing lyrics while opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in South America and Australia. She also toured the album on her own 80-date headlining world tour.

The Irish folk band will be hitting the road for their biggest UK live shows to date in the early Spring, which they will kick off with a show at Brighton Dome on March 6.
