Editoral Review of Jacada Travel

Jacada Travel was created Alex Malcolm in 2008, in hopes of giving people the chance to travel more authentically. He came to this realization after living abroad in Brazil, and realized he was only able to experience the country from a local’s perspective because of his local friends. By traveling in a genuine yet upscale manner, the travel experience is elevated - making a trip go from memorable to unforgettable.

What Makes Jacada Travel Stand Out?

  • Your own concierge and travel designer
  • Build your own itinerary

Jacada Travel puts you in touch with a concierge and a travel designer (aka tour guide) from the minute you book. They have local expertise in each destination and offices on four continents, meaning there will always be someone to pick up your call regardless of what time zone you are in.

Two ladies having a discussion infront of a laptop in a room

Their travel designers are highly personable, provide top notch quality service, and have lived in their area of specialty for years. Don’t be surprised if they seem to know everyone during your trip, or meet you in the middle of the night when your plane lands.

Build custom itineraries and tell the travel designers about your travel style, what peaks your interest, special requests, and they’ll create a trip that’s just right for you. So whether you want to try horse riding for the first time as a senior, or find something enjoyable for your toddler, they’ll make it happen!

You have the final say in the itineraries and every part of the process. You’re welcome to do as much or as little as you’d like every day.

Who Will Enjoy Traveling With Jacada Travel?

  • Luxury travelers willing to splurge
  • All interests

A man in a robe looking out the window from a bathroom

Jacada Travel is a luxury, high-end tour operator, offering you only the very best of every destination. These tours are made for those with a higher budget range and willing to splurge. You’ll love traveling with them if you’re the type who only wants to worry about two things: what to pack, and getting on your flight.

These private tours are suitable for solo travelers and groups alike. Whether you’re a couple, a family traveling with grandparents or kids, or a small group, everyone is welcome with Jacada Travel.

They’re also LGBT friendly, and your travel designer keeps this in mind while creating your itinerary. All destinations are safe for LGBT people to travel to, although some countries are more relaxed than others.

They cater to a range of interests such as nature, cultural immersion, adventure, culinary and wine, history, sightseeing and landmarks. You can also customize these trips to match how active you’d like to be - go heli skiing down untouched slopes in Iceland, or leisurely stroll through the vineyards of the beautiful countryside in South Africa. Pick and choose what interests you and skip what doesn’t, because your time is the most valuable.

Top Destinations

  • Popular sites and off-the-beaten-path

While offering trips around the world in all 7 continents, they are heavily focused on South America. They’re typically focused on showing you the popular sites - but once again, you get the final say in what you’d prefer!

Macchu Picchu covered with clouds

Destinations vary widely from historic and popular cities, to countrysides, parks, coastlines, and mountains. Maybe one day you’d like to explore all the main attractions of Hanoi, and spend the next discovering hidden and unreachable caves of Ha Long Bay on a tour to Vietnam.

Jacada Travel Style

Jacada Travel is all about the most exclusive, luxurious, and high class travel experiences to top every vacation you’ve ever had. Accomodations lie in the 4 to 5 star range, are beautifully decorated, and the absolute best available.

You’ll get boutique hotels with library patios, antique furniture from local artisans, and award winning performances in cocktail lounges. No two itineraries are the same, although you can view some sample itineraries on their page.

Even your transportation from one place to the next will have you amazed - with top of the line, bucket list experiences. Expect helicopter rides, private chartered flights, high-end speedboats, and luxury trains.

To book a trip with Jacada Travel, it’s important to do so far in advance. For starters, getting to know the traveler over email and/or phone is essential to matching them with the right accommodations, experiences, and guides. If it’s a busy destination, booking early gives them ample time to curate your dream trip.

Trip of a lifetime

We are back home from Croatia and full of gratitude for the trip of a lifetime. We have been many places and experienced many unique experiences. But for what we like and enjoy, we couldn’t have had a better experience. The outline/plan/destination selection was excellent. The hotels were fantastic. The details were executed without a hitch. The guides we had were just beyond exceptional people, let alone fantastic at doing their jobs. Even our drivers were just excellent. We want to thank Kate Herz and Symonne Anderson very very much for creating lifetime memories for us. We want to go back and experience some of the same again, and some new parts of Croatia.

Hello Steve and Hilde, Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I am so pleased that you had such a wonderful time exploring Croatia. I thoroughly enjoyed being your insta-buddy and travelling vicariously through you, it was such a pleasure to see how much you loved your time with Mario, your dinner at Dvor etc. It also brought back some wonderful memories! And now we're planning your 2024 trip -which reminds me, we're overdue a catch up to talk through your thoughts on your Spain and Portugal itinerary. I'll look forward to speaking again soon, Warm wishes, Kate and Symonne

We are repeat clients of Jacada and will continue to use them for future trips. Our trip coordinator Demi was FABULOUS!! She truly went out of her way to ensure that our trip to Colombia was exactly what we asked for..and more! She went above and beyond getting to know our group making this experience even more personalized. She stayed in contact and was also so responsive to any of our inquiries. Our in country team and guides were fantastic as well. The true joy of the Jacada experience is that every detail is thought of and you can relax and enjoy your adventure. Many thanks again Demi!!

The Jacada team planned a fabulous trip 3 times!

The Jacada team planned a fabulous trip to Chile for us and went above and beyond to reschedule it twice because of the pandemic and then a bout of covid. They kept a close watch on us the entire time to make sure everything was going just right. Will be using them again for a trip to Portugal in a few months!

Date of experience : 14 February 2024

Hi Emily, Thank you for your kind review. Nothing was going to stop you from getting to Chile in the end. Your trip was meant to be after all, these obstacles were only for us to overcome! It was so nice to catch up with you when you got home and to know you had a brilliant time in the invigorating lands of Patagonia. Here's to many more adventures for you both! We are delighted to be part of these journeys. All our best Jen & Berni

Jacada planned the perfect trip!

I’ve never traveled via guide or planned a trip with an agency before…but I was blown away with Jacadas execution, knowledge, service and hospitality. From the first phone call, to the various drivers, guides, and reservations, to the very last farewell, Jacada made our Peru vacation absolutely spectacular. I highly recommend Ludwick, our guide in Cusco & Machu Picchu. He is such a wonderful person and the perfect guide. He took such great care of us, was flexible and so knowledgeable. I am very thankful for his guidance. I want to come back and hike the Inka Trail with him in the near future! Peru is a special place. Our driver, Sam, was also so helpful and compassionate. He went above and beyond for us when we forgot an article of clothing in one of our hotels. And our driver Carlo was such a pleasure. I highly recommend Jacada and the service they provide. Thank you so much for helping plan the perfect vacation. I cannot wait to book a future trip with you.

First Time to Forever Jacada Customer

From start to finish everyone I interacted with was wonderful to work with! I’ve never worked with a travel agent before my trip and now I'll never travel without one!! It was so nice to sit back and relax and have a trip planned for me that was totally customized to me and my preferences. We had an absolutely incredible time on our trip and I feel like they took extra precautions to make sure we were safe and had a good time! Truly, I would not have had as good of a trip if I planned it on my own. Worth every penny!!!!!

Girls Trip to South America

Delfina and Carlos planned an amazing trip for my mom, sister and I to visit Argentina and Chile. From arrival in Santiago, until we traveled back to the United States, everything was planned perfectly. The hotels were fantastic, we went on some of the best excursions that we’ve ever experienced, and transfer between the locations was seamless. Would highly recommend this agency to anyone traveling somewhere new!

Jacada is beyond incredible

Jacada is beyond incredible and we look forward to planning future adventures with them. Our experience was flawless from beginning to end. Iain listened to our dream trip ideas and came up with a bucket list itinerary to Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. James took over and guided us with his amazing care til departure. Such peace during our travels to know the ground team is in place to take care of any need during our trip should one arise. Amazing communication with us via WhatsApp to relay flight details during the trip and check in with us. Everything we were promised was an above and beyond experience. Words can’t describe how fortunate we feel to have found Jacada.

Best trip ever!

From the start Jacada couldn’t have been better in planning our short stagy in Johannesburg and our safaris in Zambia and Zimbabwe. Jody and Charlotte were on top of everything and we always felt like they were working on our behalf. We got quick responses to our questions and other valuable travel information. Now we just need to decide on our next destination. Well done!

Date of experience : 01 August 2023

Hi Jerry and Cindy, Thank you so much for your kind words and time on the phone the other day. We are both so pleased you had the most wonderful time in Zimbabwe. It's a really special place and we're so glad you got to experience it! Great to hear that the food was amazing and you've been able to see fantastic wildlife - it really sounds like a trip of a lifetime. You know where to find us for your next adventure! We cannot wait to plan it for you. Warm wishes, Jody & Charlotte.

Jacada planned our trip of a lifetime…

Jacada planned our trip of a lifetime to Vietnam and Thailand in January/February 2024 for 3 weeks. From the moment we landed in Hanoi, they prioritized our entry through customs to a no wait line and transferred us to our guide and driver. It was seamless and professional the entire trip. We experienced the culture and people in authentic day trips through the trip. Making rice paper in countryside home, drinking tea and playing music with a local family to traveling the Mekong delta in a fast boat. We had 6 different guides/drives and all of them made sure our experiences were perfect. The accommodations were all 5 stars and well situated and appointed. The top hotels included Capella in Hanoi, Four Seasons in Hoi An and Six Senses in Kao Yao Noi. It would be very difficult to not use Jacada again after having sure a wonderful trip with no worries. My trip advisor Rosanna Convey made sure we hit all the top spots and had the most spectacular trip.

Date of experience : 23 January 2024

Dear Pam and Mark, Thank you deeply for sharing your unforgettable journey with us. We're thrilled to hear that your trip to Vietnam and Thailand was seamless and you enjoyed all the enriching experiences. Your kind words mean the world to us, and we're honoured to have been part of your trip of a lifetime. Whenever you're ready for your next adventure, we would love to work with you on another spectacular trip. Best wishes, Rosanna & Cathy

It was seamless!

It was seamless!! The most wonderful accommodations, food, transportation and travel guides. So efficient. Our drivers were great! Everyone was so kind. Loved how we started in Rome and ended in Ravello. From metropolitan to quiet and stunning beauty!! I know you don’t control the weather but it was perfect too!!!

Date of experience : 23 October 2023

Hi Dan and Family, Thank you so much for taking the time to write these kind words and also provide more feedback over zoom. It was truly a pleasure to help you with your big family adventure to Italy. We are so glad to hear that you loved the accommodations, guides and drivers and that we were able to surprise you with some of the activities planned for you. We're delighted that your journey was seamless and you could sense the care and detail that went into planning your itinerary, finishing in one of the most stunning properties on the Amalfi coast. We can't wait to start planning your next family adventure to Northern Italy for 2024! All the best, Hanna and Marta

We had a lovely experience with Jacada…

We had a lovely experience with Jacada Travel, specifically with Ellie and Gita. They put together a great itinerary and we were truly satisfied with the diversity of experiences and the quality of everything. The little personal notes we found from both of them in each hotel we were in , added a special touch. Very attentive to our needs and personable. They demonstrated great customer service .

Trip of a lifetime to Singapore & Indonesia

This was our second trip with Jacada, this time 2.5 weeks to Singapore and Indonesia, and it was simply incredible. Our travel designer and concierge, Ellie and Cathy, were both amazing and carefully designed a unique trip tailored to our interests and goals, sprinkling in some creative and thoughtful surprises throughout the trip. The trip culminated in a five-day private yacht chartered by Jacada through Komodo National Park. Once again, Jacada opened our eyes to new possibilities for luxury and travel that we could not have even imagined. We are already dreaming about our next trip with Jacada.

Date of experience : 15 August 2023

Hi Elie & Liza, It was an absolute pleasure working with you both to plan another truly special trip with Jacada! I loved hearing about your time in Java visiting the temples and to quote it was the "nicest room you've ever stayed in!". My favourite was hearing how much you enjoyed your time on the Leyla around Komodo Islands and how you're already thinking about doing your dive certificates to travel again like this! I can't wait to start planning Nepal and India for you and getting you on another Jacada adventure soon! Until then... Ellie & Cathy

Well planned trip for our Family

From the jungles of the Amazon to the beaches of Rio

As returning Jacada customers, our Brazil trip was a spectacular 22 day adventure that took us from Sao Paulo, to the Falls, to the Pantanal, to the Amazon, and Rio. Everything from pre-planning to execution and all things in between were handled flawlessly as Charles and Melanie created an outstanding itinerary with a good pace, locations, guides, and accommodations. Every aspect of the trip was truly a "WOW" moment. There was nothing more we could have wanted or hoped for. The entire trip was stress free, relaxing, and very educational. As we have said many times, Jacada is our recommended travel planner for the perfect get-a-way.

Can't wait to do it again

I've traveled a lot, but never like this! My recent trip to Japan with Jacada exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Working with Lauren and Leanne was easy right from the beginning, and they truly turned it into the most effortless and relaxing vacation I've ever experienced. There's no way I would have ever been able to plan a trip like this by myself. Their knowledge and partnership with a ground team in Japan were invaluable. The itinerary was personal, communication seamless, and the little details they surprised us with were pure delight! For anyone who values efficiency and stress-free travel, Jacada's services are a total game changer.

We loved seeing your pictures, and it was so great to hear about how much you enjoyed the excursions we had planned. It also sounds like the flexibility of our fabulous local guides really helped to enhance your experience when you were away too. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us in the future, it was a pleasure to work with you both, and I hope we can do so again on your next sibling (or family) trip! Leanne and Lauren

Well done!

Dear Pam and Mark, Thank you deeply for sharing your unforgettable journey with us.

The details are what matter & where Jacada excels

The details are what always matter, and it’s the details where Jacada’s people excel - they were available throughout the trip to make sure even the little things click and our questions about logistics answered. It’s why we keep coming back and, each time we wonder if we should try to arrange things on our own, we realize they’re worth every penny. (And a special shout out of thanks to Rosanna & Cathy for their help in Malaysia!)

Amazing Australian Adventure

The trips was an amazing overview of Australia! We traveled to Sydney, Uluru, the Daintree Rainforest and Lizard Island. Each place had uniqueness that made it memorable. We especially loved the glamping in Uluru and the "private jet" to Lizard Island. The accommodations were fantastic and the care that Jacada offered made this trip quite special.

Amazing 2 Weeks in Greece

Me and my family recent returned from a 2 week family trip in Greece-- my wife and i and out 2 early 20s daughters. Throughout the planning process Jacada was great-- as we brought up ideas of what we wanted to do they came up with suggestions- in the end we had a great tripped planned. Hotels were amazing, activities were as well- we did some biking in Crete, some hiking in Crete and Santorini, we even had a few private yoga classes which we wanted. All but one of our guides were fantastic. We were also surprised when Jacada footed the bill for an amazing 9 course very special dinner on Santorini to help my wife and i celebrate both our birthdays which happened to fall during the trip. We took home memories we will all never forget as well as great pictures and a few great souvenirs including some wonderful pottery. I would definitely do another trip with Jacada-- it was not cheap, but for a high end trip i think well worth it.

5 stars from beginning to end!

Being connected with Demi Roberts when I first reached out to Jacada, is what made me decide to close the deal. She was so welcoming and in a very personable way, explain what Jacada is about and how she could make my Peruvian trip different from any other companies. I love how she took the time to listen to my wants and needs and the attention she put into planning and working on small details. I had an idea of what we wanted to do and see but Demi, in a very knowledgeable way, directed me towards a different and exciting itinerary. As a business owner myself, I see the difference between employees that are just trying to get a paycheck and the ones that can represent my business with passion. Demi is definitely one to be remembered and because of my experience with her, I'm most likely to book with Jacada again! She was able to work around my schedule, even though I'm in the US with very different hours. She took time emailing back and forth with every question I had. Her communication before, during and after the trip was simply outstanding and it make my entire experience a memorable one! Jacada only work with incredible places, from 5 star hotels and restaurants. Their personnel on ground is amazing and always willing to help and really make you feel special in every step of the way. Thank you Demi and Jacada for an extraordinary experience!

Amazing South Africa Safari Honeymoon

We booked our honeymoon in South Africa with Jacada. James helped us book the trip and he was really helpful walking us through different itineraries and helping us stay organized while deciding what we wanted to do from all the amazing options. Once we got to South Africa, we felt really well-taken care of - with a dedicated WhatsApp group with on the ground 24/7 concierge support and special welcome amenities in all of our accommodations. All of the recommendations from James and team were perfect, from the hotels to restaurants to private tours to safari, everything was luxurious and top tier. We had an incredible trip and we’ll definitely be looking to use Jacada again in the future!

Jacada created an amazing, stress-free trip for us!!

Our trip was amazing and all due to the hard work of the Jacada team! Their relentless planning made all the behind-the-scenes issues just go away. It allowed my family to just enjoy trip. Jacada was instrumental in planning VIP-access activities and organizing comfortable transport prior to the trip and provided emergency contacts if things went wrong. The front facing components they used - hotels, drivers, tour guides - were first class, engaging, on time, and knowledgeable. They also scheduled restaurants for us and when the first round of restaurants didn’t meet expectations (my family wanted more casual than fine dining), it was so easy to work with them on options to get the exact right experience. It was such an stress-free, well planned, seamless, and fun vacation that spanned multiple cities.

Our trip was beyond our expectations!

Our trip was perfectly organized. The hotels were fabulous, the guides for our tours were beyond our expectations, and every single aspect of the trip was carefully planned. Jacada Travel: Private Guided Luxury Tours Planned by Insiders

review of jacada travel

Jacada Travel is an upscale London-based luxury tour company specializing in personalized, private-guided luxury travel around the world. Jacada Travel offers itineraries for travelers who seek a high-end insider travel experience with one-on-one service from start to finish.

Jacada's expert "travel designers" have lived in the destinations they work with. They create one-of-a-kind, insider itineraries for clients. No two Jacada itineraries are the same. However, certain company priorities are honored at Jacada Travel:

  • The company says that "time, space, choice, and personalization are the greatest luxuries."
  • All destinations, accommodations, and activities have been road-tested by the Jacada team.
  • Experiences are authentic and heartfelt, not touristy, superficial, or insecure.
  • Time is managed smartly, so travelers make the most of their tour, avoiding downtime and waiting.

How Jacada Travel Is Different From Other Luxury Tour Companies

Jacada Travel's point of difference from similar companies: its travel designers, who create guests' itineraries, have all lived and worked in the destinations they work on.

This means that each trip is created by people who have actual first-hand experience of not just the area's culture and attractions but its hotels, dining, shopping, and the kind of local experiences that only a resident would know.

How Jacada Travel Itineraries Are Created

Jacada Travel's approach to travel planning: it should be a pleasure, not a chore. Working closely with the client, Jacada's "travel designer" creates and fine-tunes an entirely personal plan for the trip.

Major trip elements like destination flights and hotels are finessed, and help with visas is extended. Even minor aspects are managed: the view from your hotel rooms, whether you take coffee or tea with breakfast. Jacada clients have input throughout the planning process and final approval over everything in their itineraries.

The Kinds of Travelers Who See the World with Jacada Travel

Jacada Travel is a luxury travel choice for experienced travelers who know what a great travel experience and who seek to deepen their experience of the world.

Jacada Travel popular with couples (including honeymoon duos), families, small groups, and solo travelers. 40% of Jacada clients are English, and others come from all over the world. Over half (53%) of Jacada travelers are repeat clients, a high percentage for this field.

What Jacada Travel Experiences Are Like

Every Jacada Travel trip is different. What they have in common: they are tailor-made and privately guided. Jacada Travel vacations typically combine cultural, adventure, and luxury experiences. So a trip to…

  • South America could take in a great city like Buenos Aires or Rio, a relaxing stay at a winery hotel; wonders of the world like the Galapagos, Amazon rainforest, Macchu Pichu,  Iguassu Falls,  and the Patagonian wilderness.
  • Africa could include a helicopter safari with nights at posh lodges, leopard-tracking in Saba Sabi Reserve in South Africa's  bushveld,  elegant  dinner in Cape Town;  a secluded beachfront villa in Mozambique.

Jacada Travel Tour Guides

Jacada's expert guides are English-speaking locals with deep knowledge of their territory.

  • They are often journalists or professors, but they may also be working archeologists, biologists, veterinarians, conservationists, art historians, and other committed professionals.
  • Their insight, local knowledge, and connections create meaningful, memorable travel experiences.

Jacada's Local Guides Take Charge

The guides accompany the guest all day into the evening and are available 24 hours. They organize the traveler's private tours and attend to all logistical and transportation and modify plans or troubleshoot when necessary.

If Jacada Travel Is Right For You

The answer is probably  yes  if:

  • You're not willing to spend the research and communications time needed to plan a complicated vacation and would welcome help.
  • You're at ease delegating major personal projects like planning a major vacation.
  • You love exotic, off-the-beaten-path destinations, and want to get deep into their culture.
  • You are determined to avoid cookie-cutter, one-itinerary-fits-all tours.
  • You're a sophisticated luxury traveler, and only the best experiences will do.
  • You like traveling with a knowledgeable guide but like some independent time.

The answer is probably  no  if:

  • You feel that no one can possibly know and satisfy your tastes.
  • You want to be in control of all vacation planning and make every decision.
  • You prefer leisurely resort vacations to active or  adventure travels .
  • You prefer to travel on your own rather than with a guide.
  • When you travel, you like to follow your impulses and not a set itinerary.

Honeymoon of our Dreams!

Planning our honeymoon with Jacada was the best experience. Working with Ellie and her team made the process seamless. They were so patient with us with so many personal life changes that ended up affecting the planning process for a little, but it all worked out in the end. They took the time to get to know my husband and I and activities we would like to enjoy. Also transportation was a breeze, and the hotels they put us in were 10/10. We truly cannot thank them enough for planning our dream honeymoon and we look forward to working with them again in the future. If you're looking to plan a trip of a lifetime, do not hesitant to go with Jacada.

We can't wait to be a part of planning your next Jacada adventure! Until then, Ellie & Gilda

Don’t leave home without them

Amazing, curated travel planning. The more we use Jacada the better they know us = a progressively more personalized trip each time. They have experts for each continent and consequently there is a wealth of personal knowledge which goes into the planning of every journey. (On occasion, right down to which *room* on a particular ship is the best to stay in!!) I cannot emphasise enough the peace of mind I experience when travelling with Jacada. Every airport or land transfer, every local phone number provided in case of emergency and the responsiveness when even a minor problem arises is second to none. I can totally recommend Jacada without a moment’s hesitation and personally cannot imagine planning a trip without them now.

Dear Geraldine, Thank you so much for these kind words - you have perfectly described what it's like to travel with Jacada and we are so grateful to you for taking the time to post a review. You are right about the detail down to the room and it's great to know our research and passion pays off! Your trip was great fun to build and it was just wonderful to see it finally be ticked off the bucket list. Thank you so much for your trust and your kind feedback, it means the world to us. See you soon for the next adventure! Best wishes and all our thanks, Lily, Heather, Berni, Joyce and the team

Jacada for the win!!

Keith and Gita and the entire Jacada family were absolutely amazing!! Our honeymoon would not have been the same without them. They took the time to truly get to know us and carefully curated the perfect getaway for the two of us that would have otherwise been impossible. We are avid planners, well-traveled, and had never even thought about using a travel agency before, but Keith and Gita changed the game. Thank you so much, and we cannot wait for our next adventure with you guys!

Unparalleled Planning and Execution

Everything from the almost last-minute pivot to travel to Costa Rica and the execution of the scintillating itinerary was amazing. Demi Roberts planning and coordinating was seamless. The Jacada local team accommodated every wish and needed adjustment as did the resorts. But above all, the activities were beyond our highest expectations. Active stops (zip-lining, horse back riding, dolphin watching, hiking) and hands on activities (cooking with locals, coffee and chocolate making) made for the perfect blended holiday. There was just so much to rave about and we were over the top thrilled with all the attention and planning that Demi gave us in the planning and execution. All three generations loved every minute of a memorable adventure. THANK YOU JACADA!! We'll be back!

Your kind words mean so much to us, and we can't wait to welcome your daughter back to Costa Rica next Christmas! Take care :) Demi and Berni

Loved Ecuador, thank you David

I worked with David in mid-2023 to plan a trip at the end of the year. I started thinking about Belize but as I thought more about it and described things I like to do, David and I agreed on Ecuador. I asked David to help me plan a trip on 3 pillars: culture, great food, and some physicality. David suggested Quito, followed by the Amazon (Napo Wildlife Center), and back to the highlands (Hacienda Zuleta). My trip culminated in three very different, immersive, and wonderful experiences. I did not have time to go to the Galapagos but when I am ready, I will contact David to help plan my trip. I highly recommend David and I will definitely work with Jacada in the future.

Jacada did a great job on our Argentina trip

Buenos Aires: 4 days/Alvear Palace Hotel El Calafate: 2.5 days/Eolo Iguazu Falls: 4 days/Awasi Buenos Aires: 1 day/Alvear Palace Hotel Our experience with Jacada was an A+ every step of the way. Lily and Melanie worked with us prior to the trip in every detail of the planning. They asked great questions about our interests and what we were hoping to focus on during our time in Argentina. They arranged all of our guides and Argentina flights, restaurant reservations and accommodations. All of our guides were informative and on time and were already aware of our interests and itineraries. Monica, our main contact and transport guide in Buenos Aires was amazing. She escorted us through the airports from the car through the check-in process all the way to the security points making sure the luggage destinations and flights were correct. She pointed out restaurants near the hotel that turned out to be our “go to” places to eat near the hotel. Fervor, just around the corner is even a Michelin mention and well worth going to. The number of days in each place was just right. We had enough time to learn from our guides and also have some time on our own to explore or just relax in the most beautiful lodges. I would highly recommend a repeat of our itinerary and using Jacada for anyone who wants to get a great first experience and an overview of Argentina.

It's such a beautiful country and I'm so happy you had just the right balance of time exploring and relaxing. It was a real pleasure planning this trip and I hope it'll be the first of many Jacada adventures. Warm wishes, Lily & Melanie

Jacada really listened to our vision and made it happen

Jacada really listened to our vision of the trip. They found beautiful out of the way eco lodges with terrific food, guides who were knowledgeable, and a driver who was professional and helped us explore places that weren’t full of tourists. This is the first time we went on a trip that we weren’t 100% in control of and we were nervous. But Jacada came through for us.

Hello Susan Thank you for taking the time to post this lovely review and for your time on the phone. It was great working with you and hearing all about your previous travels to far-flung places around the world. We are so pleased to hear how much you enjoyed Sri Lanka. Especially your guides and drivers and how flexible they were in showing you the less touristy places which I know are important to you when travelling. We look forward to hearing from you in the future and helping plan your next adventure. All the best, Keith & Lauren

Fast and Fabulous Tour of Australia

My husband and I really enjoyed our Australia Whistle-Stop tour! Ellie did a fabulous job organizing it and allowing us to experience Sydney, The Blue Mountains, GBR and the Daintree Rainforest in 8 days. The private tours were top quality as were all of our accommodations especially The Chalets at Blackheath. We had an amazing tour by Tim and a picnic breakfast with the Kangaroos! Zip-lining in Daintree was another highlight of our time in Australia. It was well organized, very informative and a fabulous way to travel. We highly recommend Jacada for a stress free, personalized vacation!!!

Date of experience : October 23, 2023

Hi Nasha & Michael, We're thrilled to hear that you both had an incredible time in Australia. We're so happy to hear everything felt smooth and you loved all the tours. Thank you for recommending Jacada, and we hope to welcome you back for more memorable adventures in the future! Ellie & Gita

Seamless Experience in Thailand

Working with the team at Jacada (specifically Rosanna and Gita) made for a seamless and incredible trip to Thailand! They took care of everything from start to finish except the international flights (we chose to do that on our own), and it was perfect. They incorporated our interests and preferences into such memorable and fun activities throughout our trip….there were so many fantastic experiences I can’t begin to list them all. The accommodations they booked met or exceeded our expectations. The local guides they set us up with were knowledgeable and fun to be with. Even their local restaurant recommendations were top notch. They were always responsive, and we felt supported throughout the process. We’ve worked with other custom and bespoke travel agencies, but usually there’s at least one small hiccup along the way. Not with Jacada…it truly was seamless from start to finish!

Date of experience : January 12, 2024

Thank you so much for your feedback Jennifer & Alex! It was a pleasure working with you both and being involved with creating such a fun and exciting journey through Thailand for you. I look forward to speaking with you guys again in future and hearing about where you would like to visit next! Best wishes, Rosanna & Gita

Amazing trip- flawless execution.

Amazing trip - four different stops running the length of Chile and then Antarctica, all flawless in terms of logistics, support service of local agency, and perfect hotels/ excursions/ guides etc….just a joy to travel and see the world without having to worry about all of the complex arrangements. A level of personal service and attention to details, and a responsiveness when needed for help.

Dear Mark, Thank you for another fabulous review! We are so pleased that we could finally tick this off the bucket list - it's been a long time coming and worth the wait! I Discovered These Japanese Sandals in Basque Country

review of jacada travel

I didn’t know that I’d been missing a sandal that combines the freedom of a flip-flop with the sock compatibility of slides until I discovered Montbell’s Sock-On Sandals . Now they’re pretty much all I wear most days during the summer months.

I learned about these sandals during the summer of 2019 while living in the French surf town of Guéthary, near Biarritz. My friend Aï Kato recently opened a boutique grocery store right on main street and had arranged for me to help pilot the WWOOF (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms) program at the farm up the hill that grew most of her vegetable selection. The off-grid yurt on the farm was fine for sleeping, but the lack of climate control and running water meant I had to go to the apartment above the store in order to bathe or cool down. At the time, France was experiencing a record-shattering heat wave — which is to say I spent a lot of time around the store.

On the walls surrounding the crates of fresh fruits and vegetables in the center of the floor, handmade Japanese tawashi dishwashing brushes and tenugui head scarves hung alongside Provençal soaps and pasta extruded from heirloom Italian wheat. And in the very back corner of the store, beneath the Belgian-linen bathrobe display, there was a whole shelf full of these Sock-On Sandals in every size and colorway.

The elegant configuration of rope and webbing looks timeless in a way that would feel right at home in a Hiroshige woodblock print. Yet the saturated colors, which match the straps to the textured rubber sole on many styles, wouldn’t look out of place under a pair of Homme Plissé pants either.

Unlike most flip flops, Sock-On sandals don’t rely on a thong strap between the big toe and second toe to secure the foot. Instead, a swoop of silken rope extends across the top along the inside edge of the sole, while two bits of webbing anchor it to the outer edge. It wears more like a minimalist slide — perfect for when you want a sock-compatible slip-on that’s less bulky than a Birkenstock or Adilette. There is just enough adjustability in the straps to find a secure fit on most feet: Simply wiggle the rope within the webbing loops until you find a good spot for your foot. They work just as well without socks, and I often wear them at the beach or pool.

I also appreciate that the soles are made of a slightly denser and stiffer material than most thong sandals of this genre. This gives me enough support to not wish for a “real” shoe on short bike rides and longer walks. There’s not much arch support, but as someone whose feet get achy in Birkenstocks, I personally prefer this. I will still reach for my Chacos if I know I’ll be hiking on uneven terrain or something a little less casual if I’m heading into the city. But for most quick errands and jaunts, the Montbells are more than enough to get out the door. Or indoors, for that matter. I liked them so much that I ended up getting a second pair to use as summer slippers.

This Genius Gadget Is the Travel Accessory Everyone's Wearing to Stay Cool in the Heat — and It's 20% Off

More than 30,000 of them were sold last month alone.

review of jacada travel

Travel + Leisure / Tyler Roeland

A career as a food and travel writer may sometimes appear rather glamorous, but the reality can be quite different. It often involves long and exhausting days researching and exploring in all kinds of weather conditions. For all the beautiful days we may enjoy experiencing a picturesque olive harvest, we have those stretches of walking through farms or vineyards when it’s sweltering out, and those humid jaunts can get progressively sweaty and uncomfortable if you're not sporting the proper attire and gear .

While sometimes our work will go indoors, where we can try the wines or freshly harvested fruits and vegetables in the comfort of air conditioning, that’s not always the case. And as the world has been experiencing record-high temperatures in recent years, it’s become a job necessity to find ways to stay cool and comfortable while outdoors by whatever means I can, whether it’s staying hydrated and wearing a sun hat , embracing cooling clothing options , or – of late – taking along the PenKou Portable Neck Fan .

PenKou Portable Neck Fan

Currently 20 percent off, the portable neck fan offers instant, 360-degree, gentle cooling via 72 thin ventilation slots (or wind outlets, as the brand calls them) and a lightweight and adjustable wrap-around design that honestly, at an initial glance, looks a lot like headphones resting on your neck. The PenKou Portable Neck Fan has a sort of geeky gadget aesthetic that would appeal to the tech nerds among us for sure, but what I was most concerned with was not how it looked — vain as I can be at times (and this trip had big picture moments) — but if wearing it would cool down my head and neck enough that I could do my job and be reasonably comfortable even in a rather unbearably hot setting.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t originally buy this portable neck fan for travel purposes. I currently live in an apartment without air conditioning, and it can get particularly toasty on sweltering summer days. I have a few well-placed fans around my apartment, but when I discovered that portable neck fans were kind of a big deal on TikTok (and that there was a wearable option that could keep me cool as I worked during those oppressive days), I had to give it a try.

I remember the first time I told my mom I was going about my workday (and travels!) with a fan around my neck, and she had several stereotypically motherly concerns. She was imagining fan blades circulating around my neck, poised to injure or maim. The reality couldn’t be further from the truth. What it does do is create a refreshing cooling breeze, even if you're in a stuffy room or environment on one of those windless humid and hot days.

Much like wireless headphones do with volume control, the PenKou Portable Neck Fan has a button at the side that allows you to cycle through during fan speeds, and it’s also built to last all day thanks to a rechargeable battery that will last between three to 24 hours depending on the speed used. This serves well when working or exploring outdoors, or just trying to sit at a cafe and get some work done on a steamy afternoon.

Between its recent TikTok fame and its 4,600-plus five-star ratings from Amazon shoppers, the game-changing PenKou Portable Neck Fan is definitely not a secret anymore. In fact, more than 30,000 of them were sold in the last month alone, according to Amazon. In their review, a Disney World parkgoer called the neck fan a "must-have" if you "are traveling somewhere hot, or just live in high-temperature places" because the battery "lasts a long time and [the fan] truly cools you off."

Chiming in, another shopper raved that it came in handy for a jungle vacation: "I didn’t have to recharge it my entire trip for five days. It was even cooling on the medium setting." And, if you're a hot sleeper, one reviewer confirmed that it's comfortable to wear to bed. "I take this everywhere: traveling, hiking, sporting events, running, biking and I’ve even slept with it on."

What started out as a gadget I was using to survive in my apartment in the summer is now something I use to cool down between appointments, when I'm traveling, or working outdoors on those steamy days. The PenKou Portable Neck Fan is so portable and versatile that I cannot imagine living without it — even if one day, I do become a person who lives in an apartment with central air conditioning and avoids traveling during triple-digit temperatures. Our experts at the Good Housekeeping Institute have reviewed more than 40 strollers over the course of the past five years and for this story, we curated strollers that can fit in tiny spaces (some in the airplane overhead) and those that rank high for ease of folding . Separately, we have a list of lightweight strollers that will help you tackle the toddler years with your sanity intact, and some of those are great for travel, too. But the travel strollers below have an additional focus on being compact and folding quickly so you can move like a travel ninja.

We called this a "first-rate folding stroller" when we named this a Good Housekeeping Family Travel Award winner. It doesn't sacrifice comfort for compactness , so expect the usual Bugaboo high-quality fabric, deep seat, real sunshade (no skimping on sun protection here!) and extendable leg rest, just in a more tiny, adorable form that's easy to take along on trips.

One tester mom of a toddler geeked out about the fold, specifically. "The button to fold it is on the handle, so you just push down and it collapses nearly instantly. Our regular stroller requires ducking down and pushing a lever," she said. "Also, the glide of the Butterfly is comparable to much larger strollers. I can push my son uphill easily, with one hand!"

The folded Butterfly stands up by itself, great if you need it to sit while you check bags or load the car. But our Lab experts note that unfolding the Butterfly takes some finesse and practice — you shake it out and lock in place before you can set your kid inside. We like the carry handle that lets you sling the folded stroller over your shoulder, as shown in the picture.

If you want this to carry a newborn in a car seat you can buy a car seat adaptor for the Butterfly. But it only works with select brands including Bugaboo, Nuna, Maxi-Cosi and Cybex.

If you're only taking one big vacation and don't plan to travel often, you might want a no-drama lightweight stroller that's priced under $100 . This little 3D Mini might cost the same as checking a piece of luggage each way, and at just 11 pounds it's easy to handle on a trip.

The basket is small — an average-size diaper bag is too big to fit down there — but there's a zippered parent console that holds two drinks. It's got a reasonable sunshade, and the seat can lean back. There's no seat padding, nor is there springy suspension for the five-inch plastic wheels. It's built for the convenience of getting toddlers and young preschoolers around flat pedestrian areas, and it does that just fine.

The 3D mini folds long, to the size of a traditional umbrella. (Get it? That's why they call this style an "umbrella stroller.") It doesn't stand up when folded — like with an umbrella, you have to prop it against a wall or a car, or lay it down, say in your car's trunk, or carry it in one hand, which is made easy by its light weight.

Not only does this weigh less than 15 pounds but its molded-rubber wheels can tackle a sandy beach path. Our tester did just that, saying, "We took the risk and rolled this along a nature trail in Puerto Rico and it did great." It won't tackle deep sand, though. For that you'll want a beach wagon . But the City Tour 2 is smooth-rolling on plenty of terrain and of course smooth on city streets, too.

This is a comfy choice with a deep seat that reclines almost flat, a wide calf rest plus a decent sun-protective canopy. The fold is easy and starts with squeezing a button on the handle. But when folded this is not as small as some others; it will not fit in an airplane overhead. It also can not stand up while folded. Use the carry bag, included, to gate-check this at the airport.

The handle sits just under 40 inches tall, making it a little low for tall parents. If you want a Baby Jogger stroller that holds an infant car seat, the brand's newer City Mini Air can hold a Baby Jogger or Graco model. But it's about nine pounds heavier and more of a full-size stroller than a travel option.

Colugo The Compact

The Compact

Lots of the choices on our list are great for airplane trips because of their fold and compact size. But if you fly often — as in to and from grandparents four or five times a year — we like that The Compact can be carted around several ways.

It's important because toddlers hop in and out of their stroller all the time in the airport. Use the carry strap on the back to sling this over your shoulder when you're on a moving walkway, with one arm holding your kid. Or put the stroller in the included backpack-style bag so it's easy to carry your kid and wear the stroller on your back as you step onto the plane, where the stroller can fit in most overhead bins. (If the flight crew says the overheads are full, the bag makes it easy to gate-check.)

When we named this a Good Housekeeping Parenting Award winner, we called out some of the other great features: a more generous basket than most compact strollers; a parent cupholder (because caffeine ); and a rain cover in case it's pouring when you step outside. Our one issue is that this is not a choice for a newborn; your baby has to be at least 6 months old to ride in this.

TRVL

If you're taking a young baby and don't want skimp on anything, this comfy, well-made compact stroller comes with a long list of amenities including a carry bag, a magnetic buckle so you can quickly snap your baby in place, plus a no-rethread harness so it's easy to adjust the shoulder-strap height as your child grows.

You can use the TRVL from birth because the seat reclines fully. You can also turn it into a Nuna travel system with the lightweight Nuna PIPA infant car seat, sold separately, without needing any extra adaptor (the car seat rests against the bumper bar).

All-wheel suspension helps this roll more like a full-size stroller. The basket can't hold as much as a few other picks on this list. But fans of the TRVL rave about the fold, which can be executed with just one hand while you hold your baby in your other arm. When folded it stays standing up on its own. Note, however, that it's just a few inches too big to fit in an airplane overhead bin, so plan to gate-check this stroller.

UPPAbaby Minu V2

Minu V2

Another Parenting Award winner, we've said this is "a perfect balance between a convenient compact and a sturdy full-size stroller." We think it's a great travel stroller for a toddler because of the extendable sun canopy, leatherette bumper bar you can use to hang a few toys and the lower basket that can hold up to 20 pounds . Swap the bumper bar for a snack tray , sold separately, if that will keep your toddler happier. If you're less concerned with getting something tiny and more interested in having a relatively compact stroller with all the features of a larger model, this might be your pick.

If you use this in an airport you will have to gate-check it; it won't fit in the plane's overhead. You can buy the UPPAbaby Minu carry bag separately. The Minu's small, self-standing fold means it takes up very little room in your home or hotel room. Tall parents will appreciate that the handle sits over 40 inches from the ground.

AER+

Testers have loved this tiny stroller for taking trips. "The one-handed push-button fold is a notable feature — it’s a game-changer!" one told us. We put it in our most recent Family Travel Awards , where we noted it's compact enough to fit in a plane's overhead storage. The shoulder strap for easy transporting is elastic, which one tester found a little odd, saying, "It feels weird to carry a sizable object by an elastic strap," but it works!

"The Aer+ has a decent sized sun shade for being a compact stroller," another tester said. Nothing on it is huge, and there's no cupholder or bumper bar, but that keeps it lighter than 14 pounds. The price is on the high side, but it does come with a travel pouch and the brand offers a 10-year limited warranty. (You have to register your product for it to be in place.)

Chicco Liteway

Liteway

Little travelers who are beyond the baby stage do well with an umbrella-style stroller like this one that gives them a place to sit when they need a break but does not cost parents much cash. Mesh sides provide airflow when you're visiting warm places and rear suspension provides a smoother ride than the truly cheap sling-style models that are built more like toys. Because it's got such a lightweight aluminum frame the weight limit for the Liteway is 40 pounds while others on this list go up to 50 pounds.

The handle is two grab handles versus one long bar. Because this is umbrella-style, it has a long, thin fold that has to be rested on the ground or against something. You engage the fold with your foot rather than your hand, kicking up near the basket and stepping down on a lever at the side. The seat cushion is machine washable and it comes with a parent cupholder. It's ideal for preschoolers, including 4- and 5-year-olds. It's not for a baby younger than 6 months and does not take an infant car seat.

Munchkin Sparrow

Sparrow

It's all about the fold! The Sparrow folds into the neatest little 15" x 14" rectangle and tucks into its own carry case. Not only will it fit in an airplane overhead but we can imagine a bunch of other travel scenarios for this: tucked into a drawer in your hotel room or cruise ship cabin, at your feet as you ride the train around Disneyland, on your shoulder while you hold your child and ride an escalator.

To get that small it has a lot of flexible joints and tiny wheels. Also, the Sparrow weighs less than 13 pounds. The combination can make the Sparrow feel more rickety than others on our list. It performed well enough rolling around smooth New York City sidewalks but, especially if you have a lightweight baby inside, it bounces over cracks, bumps and curbs. Fortunately, if you're mostly steering this through airports or through a theme park, you should be good to go.

A few other notes: The handle is low (not great for tall parents) but the seat is high (so a toddler is not leg-draggingly close to the ground). The basket is tiny and blocked by two bars, so it can't hold very much, maybe just a stroller blanket and water bottle. The tiny sunshade flap is minimal.

Evenflo Gold Otto

Otto

If you love the idea of a self-folding stroller that collapses at the touch of a button while you're holding your baby in your arms, this model does just that and at a nice price, too. Getting in and out of vehicles is easy because the Otto, when folded, can be self-standing or carried around by its bumper bar. You can use an Evenflo car seat with this without any separate adaptor, and the molded rubber wheels have suspension in the front.

There is a gap between the seat and the canopy that lets airflow in but also allows a kid to squirm around and see you, which can either be a pro or con. We noticed online reviewers writing that the wheels squeak, which we did not experience in our Lab tests but seems to be an issue during real-world use. It comes with a parent cupholder. Note that the Otto is heavier than most of the other single strollers on our list but still weights less than 20 pounds. Because it's fairly robust it has a slightly higher weight limit compared to other travel strollers, up to 55 pounds.

Other travel strollers we recommend

linebreak

Aside from our picks above, here are some others that performed well in our Lab tests and with our consumer testers:

Best double travel stroller: Zoe The Twin V2

• This popular compact double is frequently sold out, but worth checking on if you need to take two kids on vacay. We've called this stroller " t he best double stroller for Disney " based on testers' real-world experiences. It meets the Disney park size requirements but weighs less than 20 pounds so it's not too tough to schlep on and off transport, plus it stands up when folded so it's easy to set it down and pick it up again without having to lean the stroller on something. Each seat has a large canopy (so important for long, sunny outings!), separate reclines so either kid can lean back when needed and bumper bars for toys and to help keep preschoolers from leaping out if they spot Mickey.

Best car seat stroller combo: Doona

• Nothing else comes close to being an ideal car seat and stroller combo for travel with a baby. The Doona is an infant car seat for a vehicle, then you pop the wheels out and stroll with it. No need to travel with both a car seat and a stroller since this is a two-in-one. "Now I tell every mama that she needs this," said one tester who started traveling with her baby in the Doona at 2 months old. Because it's only for toddlers up to 35 pounds and 32 inches tall, most families outgrow it by their child's second birthday. Read our full Doona Car Seat and Stroller Review .

The original square-fold travel stroller: CYBEX Libelle Pockit

  • Cybex pushed the travel-stroller category when it came out with a Pockit stroller that folds into a neat square . The latest version is the Libelle which, when folded, is just 12.6" x 7.9" x 18.9". And yet, unfolded, it can hold a Cybex infant car seat, sold separately. It comes in an array of colors though some of them will add to the price.

a family on vacation with their baby in the babyzen yoyo, a good housekeeping pick for best travel stroller

Best small-space travel stroller : Babyzen YOYO2 (pictured)

• We recommend this stroller for city parents or anyone who lives in a small spac e because of its compact size. It travels well, too. "We took it on a trip to Australia and it was so easy to travel with," a tester told us. Folded, this 13.5-pound stroller can be worn over your shoulder with the carry strap, and it comes with its own carry bag. Buy the $180 bassinet to use it from birth.

How we test the best travel strollers

a good housekeeping expert tests to find the best travel strollers

We test strollers both in the Good Housekeeping Institute Labs and in real-world conditions. For travel strollers, we ask consumer testers to take a model on a trip and report back on how easy the stroller made their journey.

In the past five years we've tested more than 40 strollers, looking at a dozen factors including stroller weight, ease of fold, size of stroller when folded, whether it comes with a travel bag, size of the sunshade and basket, whether the seat can recline for rest and more. We roll strollers along varied terrain and time how long it takes to assemble strollers out of the box.

We offer many stroller guides, including a list of the Best Jogging Strollers and the Best Stroller Wagons .

What to consider when shopping for a travel stroller

linebreak

✔️ Just how tiny do you need it to fold? If you want to roll your stroller right onto the plane and throw it in the overhead bin, look for a travel stroller that promises to fit up there. The International Air Transport Association suggests that carry-on luggage not be larger than 22'' x 18'' x 10".

✔️ A carry bag makes a nice backup plan if you're flying. If your stroller is supposed to fit in the overhead but the plane is too full, having a carry bag lets you easily gate-check it. Plenty of families, including many of our Lab experts, actually prefer to gate-check their stroller. You roll your child to the gate, wait until boarding, then fold and bag the stroller and have airline personnel put a tag on it so you can pick it up on the jet bridge when the plane lands, allowing you to stroll your child to baggage claim.

✔️ Check the Disney Park requirements , if you're going there. Unfolded, your stroller should be no larger than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long for a day at one of the parks.

✔️ Pay attention to age grading. If your infant is still only a few months old, they will be potentially unsafe in a stroller for ages 6 months+. If you'll be traveling with a newborn, look for a travel stroller that works from birth or that accommodates your infant car seat riding on top of it. At any age, know your child's current weight and height, and read the requirements specific to your stroller to ensure it's appropriate.

✔️ What happens when it folds? We like a stroller that can stand while folded, because you can set it and forget it while you deal with other travel and packing hassles. However, sometimes an umbrella fold, which is long and skinny, is nice for road trips when you have a tightly packed car. You can almost always wedge an umbrella stroller in there! Watch videos online to see how travel strollers fold and how you are expected to carry one in its folded position.

✔️ We like a canopy. We're nuts about sun protection (see our best sunscreens for kids ) and that's why all of our picks have at least some sunshade. We do not recommend one of the ultra-cheap sling-type strollers lacking any sun visor. But not all canopies are equal: Some extend far out, some have mesh panels for ventilation and many large canopies have peekaboo windows that let you easily peer down and see how your kid is doing. Some sunshades make noise as you move them in and out and some are silent. Finally, some are made of UPF 50+ sun-blocking fabric, which is preferable.

a toddler sits in a summer infant travel stroller and looks at a dino statue, part of a good housekeeping story on the best travel strollers

There are many things you will not get in a travel stroller that you would get in a big, full-size stroller. A compact travel stroller won't have a huge basket because it must fold down small. It won't have large, heavy wheels either, which means it will not roll as smoothly as a stroller with robust tires . However, if you're using the travel stroller with a toddler or preschooler, their weight will help anchor the stroller to the ground and make it less jumpy as you push it over bumps. A travel stroller is essentially small, nimble wheels on a compact frame — something that's easy to take on vacations.

Cambodian Culture Getaway—Amazing!

High-quality touring at high-quality hotels no matter where you may find yourself. We like to immerse ourselves in a new country by day and relax at night. Jacada made that happen in far-flung Cambodian locales from the bustle of Phnom Penh to the jungles of the Cardamom Mountains to the sites of the temple city of Siem Reap. Truly special.

Meg and Rita put together a trip to…

Meg and Rita put together a trip to Portugal on very short notice for my husband and me. Every moment was special. We loved every driver, every guide, every hotel stay, all the restaurants, and so much more. We do not have any criticisms, only positive remarks. Our time in Lisbon was extremely enjoyable. Next we stayed in the Duoro Valley and it was very peaceful and beautiful. Our final stay was in Porto. Porto is a culturally rich city. Every guide and driver showed up early and they were all very kind and very knowledgeable. We will definitely use Jacada again for any future trips.

Exceptional Trip to SE Asia

What a fantastic trip to SE Asia! The trip could not have been better. The activities and tour guides were terrific. The food was delicious and the hotels were each unique with terrific customer service. Rachel and Cathy at Jacada were so professional and a pleasure to work with to plan this trip. It isn't easy to flawlessly coordinate lots of local flights and connections, but everything went smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Kudos to the Jacada team!

Highly Recommended Travel / Service Provider

Our Jacada Peru trip was a first-class experience. Everything was seamless. The guides were excellent, the hotels were appropriate (some were really excellent), the logistics were perfect. There were many thoughtful small touches that made a real difference (snacks, a boxed lunch on the day we were picked up and went on a long drive), water, small gifts for the kids, etc. We loved being on a complicated trip where we did not have to constantly be managing logistics, tickets, boarding passes etc.

They listen, to understand :)

The attention to detail while planning our trip was great. They have great local partners that just made our trip amazing from pick up at the airport when we arrived to when we left Nepal. Great job all around. Ellie and Cathy really went above and beyond understanding what we were looking for and planned every detail so well. They really paid attention and what we experienced was great. Thank you for not making us feel just like another number churning through Jacada. This was personal and truly an amazing experience.

Idyllic Thailand / Cambodia honeymoon

Jacada planned our honeymoon across Thailand and Cambodia and we can’t say enough about how perfect it was from end to end! The variety of activities, the luxury of hotels, the friendliness of our guides, the communication and support from the whole team (thanks Keith and Gilda!) were all beyond our expectations. In Thailand, learning to drive tuk tuks and spending time with elephants really stood out as highlights. And we’re so glad the team recommended Cambodia as a part of our trip because the whole country just stole our hearts. Already planning our next Jacada trip!

Vietnam Cambodia trip of a lifetime

Knowledgeable agents who were very familiar with the cities and sites we wanted to visit. Well developed itinerary. Travel arrangements were flawless, with punctual and informative drivers and tour guides. Hotel accommodations were outstanding. Itinerary included some flexibility on what we wanted to do once we arrived at our destinations. Communications between travel agents and us were timely, informative. Their suggestions made us aware of sites that we would not have visited on our own. In aggregate, an outstanding experience. The agency was excellent and we will use them again for our travels. Highly recommended

Amazing Africa: Cape Town, Winelands, Sabi Sands, Victoria Falls

We are repeat Jacada customers, and with good reason! Our trip to South Africa and Victoria Falls far exceeded expectations. The Jacada Africa team put together an amazing itinerary for us. The logistics were incredibly smooth, and their recommendations for lodging and dining were top notch. The local guides we had in Africa were so memorable. We learned so much from them and by the time we parted ways we felt like each had become a friend. We’ve hardly recovered from jet lag but we are already looking forward to our next Jacada destination!

Every detail was to be taken care of…

Every detail was to be taken care of and the trip had no hitches. Alll of the hosts, drivers and guides were wonderful.

Hi Brian, Thank you for sharing your positive words. It was a lot of fun to help you create your adventure in Colombia & Panama which unfolded to be a very diverse journey through coastal mountain ranges and historical cities plus the impressive Panama Canal. Looking forward to hearing where the next adventure calls you to explore. We'll be here for you whenever you need us next! Jen & Flavia

I usually do all my own travel planning…

I usually do all my travel planning independently but found myself desperately in need of time away, without the time to actually plan the trip. I did some research and settled on Jacada based on their other excellent reviews. I used Jacada to help me plan my first trip to SE Asia (Thailand, Laos and Cambodia for 2.5 weeks), which was also my first long solo trip overseas. Everything was seamless. Leanne, my travel planner, and Grace, my concierge, listened to what I envisioned for my trip and made it happen. I didn't have to think about a thing on my trip and it was a refreshing, wonderful experience! The local travel guides were great, especially in Thailand and Cambodia. I was treated to amazing experiences that were far from the typical tourist, crowded excursions and made me feel truly special. It wasn't cheap but you really get what you pay for and I feel it was worth it, a good value all things considered.

Dear Samantha, It was an absolute pleasure to assist you in planning your special solo adventure to Southeast Asia. Grace and I loved working with you and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your trip so much. I also really appreciated your comments and feedback. We hope to assist you again in the future and wish you all the best. Best, Leanne and Grace

Fabulous Trip!

We just returned from an amazing trip from Italy (Tuscany (country side and beach), Venice & Rome) that Jacada Travel specifically tailored to ensure a personalized trip that exceeded our expectations. The level of detail and services provided were exceptional. We stayed at 4 hotels during our travels and each one held something unique while providing a very high level of service. The drivers and airport assistance spoiled us. Jacada planned our vacation perfectly…amazing tours, food experiences and just enough down time to relax and enjoy. Thank you Melania and Symmone! We will definitely use Jacada for our next trip.

Date of experience : 23 August 2023

Dear Michael and Robyn, It's been a real joy to assist you and I'm so pleased to hear you loved every aspect of the trip and you felt so well looked after. That is precisely what we want for our guests and it will be a pleasure to plan your next adventure. Thank you so much from the whole team. Melania and Symmone

We used Jacada for our Peru/Macchu…

We used Jacada for our Peru/Macchu Picchu and Chile/Easter Island trip and our experience was extraordinary! Our travel designer Lily took my dream itinerary and made it all come true. Every single aspect of our trip was first class. The guides were all exceptional and treat us like family. We also dealt with Berni as our departure drew closer and she really delivered. At the mid point my husband was hospitalized with salmonella, altitude sickness and a parasitic infection and everyone jumped into action. Our guide in Cuzco even met us at the hotel upon discharge to see how we could salvage our last days in Cuzco. On Easter Island , the Explora Lodge was every bit what was advertised. We were at out 1st moai one hour after landing! Every aspect of this trip was the bucket list trip we dreamed of and planned. Will definitely be calling Jacada again!

Dear David & Christopher Thanks very much for your lovely review. It was a lot of fun planning this trip together and I'm sure this is just the start of your Jacada adventures. It's such a shame that Christopher got sick but we're pleased to hear that everyone looked after you so well. I'm very happy we were able to make your Machu Picchu and Easter Island dreams come true, it's an epic combination. We're both looking forward to planning more trips for you again soon. Warm wishes, Lily & Berni

Best vacation ever!

Our trip to Peru was perfect in every way! Jen did a great job laying out our itinerary, listening to what we were looking for and exceeded all our expectations. We were able to experience a cultural immersion that was top notch with the best guides! Everything was so personalized and the level of hotels and service that we received was phenomenal. The one day Inca trail hike was a dream come true. We visited Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cuzco and Lake Titicaca and they were all wonderful!! I can’t wait to book our next trip with Jacada!

We are here for you and very much looking forward to your next special adventure! All my best, Jen and Berni

10/10: Perfection!

The whole trip, from first contact through the planning process to the actual trip itself was top-notch. Every detail was considered. Every wish was granted. The level of caring, detail, and consideration given to the planning and execution of the trip was incredible! We are usually "do it ourself" type travelers but after this experience, we won't do a trip without Jacada again!

Date of experience : 29 January 2024

Dear Matt, Thank you so much for your glowing feedback! We are absolutely delighted to hear that your experience with us was nothing short of exceptional. It was truly a pleasure assisting you from the moment we first connected to crafting the perfect itinerary tailored to your preferences. We can't wait to welcome you back on another unforgettable adventure with Jacada in Guatemala! Best, Demi and Anabel

perfectly designed

Jen Richt designed the trip perfectly for me and my best friend on our first trip to Colombia. She heard us loud and clear and put together an itinerary that was diverse, covered a lot of ground and was exactly what we were looking for. A trip of a lifetime!

Date of experience : 28 February 2024

Hi Stephanie and Denise Thank you for your kind words, it was my pleasure planning your special trip together. I loved your high level of curiosity to discover Colombia, it is such a fascinating land rich in diversity and you achieved a lot on your trip there. Thank you for trusting me in helping you get there. Berni and I thoroughly enjoyed supporting you on your special adventure. Here's to many more journeys ahead! All our best Jen & Berni

Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 review: A super slim travel companion for almost any gadget

It measures just a third of an inch thick and supports simple multi-device connectivity.

When I’m traveling, a portable mouse is a must. However, I’ve never really felt the same way about keyboards, because most portable options are still too big or are saddled with some major compromises in the name of lightness. But with the Keys-To-Go 2 , Logitech has managed to create a super sleek typing accessory that disappears into your bag and can be paired with almost any device you can think of.

Design and features

Those who like traveling light can always opt for something like an iPad Pro or Surface Pro , which can be paired with their own dedicated detachable keyboards. The issue is that those devices aren’t really much smaller or lighter than an equivalent laptop. But with the Keys-To-Go 2 measuring just 7.8 ounces and a third of an inch at its thickest point, you get a truly pint-sized companion that’s perfect for pairing with smaller devices like an iPad Mini or my personal favorite, a foldable phone.

Logitech Keys-To-Go 2

Your tablet’s favorite travel buddy.

For just $80, Logitech’s Keys-To-Go 2 is a super slim and surprisingly versatile universal travel keyboard.

  • Extremely sleek
  • Long battery life
  • Compatible with all major OSes
  • Built-in folding cover
  • Easy device switching
  • No built-in kickstand
  • Disposable batteries are locked behind Torx screws

Obviously, a keyboard this thin doesn’t have a ton of space for fancy switches. But Logitech somehow found enough room for 1.1mm of key travel. When combined with rubber domes beneath the keys, you end up with a typing experience that’s not that far off from what you get on a modern MacBook. Granted, actuation is a bit softer and spongier, but on something this small, it’s understandable.

I also appreciate that despite its size, the Keys-To-Go 2 still features a full row of productivity shortcuts for stuff like volume, brightness, play/pause and even Logitech’s signature emoji key. That last one feels right at home when you're using the keyboard with a phone or tablet. You even get three Easy-Switch keys that allow you to change the keyboard’s Bluetooth connection between up to three devices with a single touch.

Speaking of connected devices, the Keys-To-Go 2 works with practically any gadget you might want to bring on a trip. It supports Windows, Android, macOS, iOS, iPadOS and even ChromeOS. Plus, there are two different layouts to choose from: a universal arrangement for all OSes (which is what I tested) and one that’s tailored for Apple devices. Finally, there’s a built-in cover that protects the keycaps while on the go, which also flips around 360 degrees to provide a slight angle for improved ergonomics when typing.

However, I wish Logitech had included some kind of onboard kickstand for propping up whatever device the keyboard is connected to. When I had a chance to talk to some of Logitech’s designers, they said they learned from customer surveys that most people who need a kickstand already have one attached to the case of their phone or tablet, which would make putting one on the Keys-To-Go 2 redundant. But as someone who loathes cases and doesn’t want to deal with a ton of addons, I think putting a stand in the keyboard would still be valuable.

Battery life

Logitech claims the Keys-To-Go 2 offers up to 36 months of battery life, but real-world numbers will vary greatly depending on how much you use it. That’s because that figure is based on the expectation that you only use the keyboard for two hours a day, which isn’t a lot but makes sense for something that probably isn’t your primary work machine.

The potentially bigger issue is that the Keys-To-Go 2 relies on a pair of disposable coin-cell batteries instead of a rechargeable power pack. Furthermore, to access the batteries, you need to remove two Torx screws, which could be an issue if the keyboard dies while you’re traveling. In a perfect world, the Keys-To-Go 2 would also support charging via USB-C. But given its dimensions, finding room for any port may have been exceedingly difficult.

Now I admit, the Keys-To-Go 2 is a rather niche device. Its replaceable batteries and lack of ports for charging or wired connectivity means it can’t really be your primary workhorse. And its thinness means typing isn’t as comfortable as on a traditional desktop alternative. But at the same time, Logitech’s latest travel accessory excels at being a lightweight travel companion. It’s super thin, super light and has a nifty cover to keep it protected while in transit. It works with multiple devices and OSes, and while relying on coin cells isn’t ideal, its battery life is long enough to make replacing them a relatively infrequent hassle. With two layouts (Apple and universal), multi-device connectivity and a price tag of just $80, the Keys-To-Go 2 feels like it’s hitting a Goldilocks zone for frequent travelers looking for something that’s just right for their next trip.

Seven Corners vs. Allianz Travel Insurance

At first glance, Seven Corners and Allianz are relatively similar. Both offer multi-tiered, single-trip, and annual travel insurance plans . Both companies also provide supplemental riders for cancel for any reason coverage and rental car damage protection. In an ideal world, customers of both companies would enjoy more control over coverage amounts and claim limits.

However, at this time, Allianz does not offer group policies. So, if you're planning on traveling with ten or more people, you'll likely be able to get a better deal with Seven Corners. On the other hand, if you're especially concerned about claims processing time, Allianz may be the better bet between the two.

Read our Allianz Travel Insurance review here.

Seven Corners vs. AIG Travel Insurance

Similarly, AIG travel insurance is comparable to Seven Corners. Each provider boasts a comprehensive insurance plan with varying levels of customization. In addition, both providers offer annual and standalone medical travel insurance plans.

Still, there are some differences between the competitors. For its part, Seven Corners offers a plan for non-US residents traveling to the United States. Meanwhile, AIG has a "Pack 'N Go" plan for last-minute travelers who don't need trip cancellation coverage. Both companies have ample opportunities to improve claims processing times.

Read our AIG Travel Insurance review here.

Seven Corners vs. World Nomads

On the other hand, World Nomads travel insurance and Seven Corners have more distinct differences. While Seven Corners has a wide array of travel insurance plans, World Nomads' selection is more streamlined. To date, it only provides two comprehensive insurance plans, one of which has more inclusions and higher coverage limits than the other.

If you're looking for something other than comprehensive coverage, Seven Corners might be the way to go. If you're okay with all-size-fits-one coverage, World Nomads could be a great option, particularly if you plan on doing any adventure activities while on your trip. For many occasional travelers, bundling to cover bases they might not see is appealing. Of note, adventure sports coverage is included in the World Nomads base plan, while it is only available with Seven Corners for an additional fee.

How We Reviewed Seven Corners Travel Insurance

In reviewing Seven Corners travel insurance, we compared it against other popular travel insurance providers within the industry. Specifically, we examined the available plan options, including any available riders, claim limits, coverages, exclusions, and typical policy costs.

Choosing the best policy for you and any co-travelers is about selecting a policy with the right type of coverage and adequate coverage limits. Ideally, you should ensure that it works well in your budget and allows you to submit a claim quickly. You can read more about how we rate travel insurance products here.

Seven Corners' single-trip insurance covers pre-existing conditions if you booked within 20 days of your initial trip payment and 15 days of any additions. Additionally, travelers must be medically able while purchasing insurance. Seven Corners' annual plan begins covering pre-existing conditions 60 days after the plan has started.

No, you cannot purchase insurance from Seven Corners for a trip already in progress. However, you can extend certain policies currently in progress.

Availability for Seven Corners varies from state to state. Additionally, Seven Corners does not insure travel to certain countries and similarly, doesn't insure international travelers in the US from certain countries.

Jacada did not disappoint

Meg and Rita helped us plan the trip of a lifetime. They took the time to understand us and then planned our perfect trip with no detail left undone. We highly recommend them and will definitely use them the next time we travel abroad.

Moroccan horror presented by Jacada…

Moroccan horror presented by Jacada Travels Jacada Travels describes itself as “Discover the world with Jacada's private luxury tour”I tried them for the first time for our trip to Morocco. I was met by Jack Bedford. A slick salesman. He promised everything and more and sold a 8 night program to me for a fortune. Like all travel companies they ask for the complete tour payment upfront. As soon as I remitted the amounts I got an ‘out of office’ response from Jack and he disappeared from the scene. A few days later I was met by Sabina Munoz, who started preparing an itinerary different from what Jack promised. Jacada is very clever as they never circulate a pdf version of the agreed itinerary, instead they circulate a web url, where in the new comments overwrite earlier comments. Therefore there was no way of cross checking what Jack promised. Eventually we had an itinerary different in many places from what Jack promised. The night before I was to leave for Morocco I got an email from Sabina stating the Riad at Fez for which I had paid was sold out and some other hotel was being booked for me. I screamed and shouted over email and only then did they confirm my stay at the Riad at Fez. The tour guide they arranged didn’t know our itinerary and had factual gaps in his knowledge. The itinerary prepared by Sabina was not clear whether lunch was included in the cost which caused more confusion than clarity. For a food tour (which was included in the itinerary) experience we were told that a “food tour” meant sitting in one restaurant and trying different Morocon cuisine. The travel company would identify this restaurant, but we had to pay for the food. As you can imagine by now the legalese of the itinerary was giving us a nightmare. The crowning glory was our stay at Kasba Bab Ourika. We had a flight out late in the night and Sabina had sent an email stating we had a late checkout at 6 pm on the day of our departure. The night before we left we started getting persistent calls from the hotel management that we had to vacate the next day at 12 noon We directed them to Jacada travels but the hotel management kept harassing us and Jacada travel went silent. In the morning the hotel manager and her cronies came to our door to physically evacuate us ( Photos attached). They first contested whether we had any factual evidence of a late checkout. When we showed them the email. They said too bad you have to vacate. So we were thrown out of our rooms. Jacada travels had disappeared by then, except for a few emails from Alesha Walton where in she went to the legalese of late check out and deviate from the earlier commitment of a late check out. Our only contact with the travel company thereafter being the chauffeur. Everyone made money on our trip, Jacada travels, their local travel company, Kasba Bab Ourika and we were thrown out of our rooms almost twelve hours before our flight in spite of paying top dollars. Use Jaccada travels if you would like to willingly get robbed and be abondened. They price themselves as “bespoke” but they treat you like a courier package. Beware of the people I mentioned. They are modern day muggers in the tourist industry.

Outstanding!

We worked with Lizzie and Melanie to plan a trip to Peru. They were both very easy to work with, knowledgeable, and responsive. They planned an outstanding trip for us! We stayed in incredible accommodations, ate outstanding meals, and engaged with terrific tour guides at fascinating sights. They went out of their way to help us in every way and we are so grateful! And, after the trip, they reached out to see how everything went and arranged a call simply to get feedback. They are an A+ team!

Hi Karen, Janine, John & Gil, Thank you for your kind review and for providing us with such valuable feedback after your trip, it means a lot to us. We are so glad you loved Peru, the experiences, and the beautiful hotels you stayed in. It was a pleasure to work with you and I hope to create more incredible trips for you in the future! Best wishes, Lizzie & Meli

World class vacation

The overall experience was phenomenal. We had someone meeting us and moving us through at all touch points. All the guides were knowledgeable and helpful. The staff at all the hotels were unbelievably helpful. Best vacation and experience of our lifetime.

A truly elevated travel experience

Jacada created a truly exceptional travel experience for me and my partner for our 20th wedding anniversary to Greece. On the planning side and execution of the trip, the entire staff worked together to take care of our every need. All staff members listened to our preferences and then designed a trip that felt very catered to how we wanted to spend our days. The accommodations were fantastic, all drivers were beyond professional. Whenever changes were made (some by unpredictable travel issues, others made by us as we changed priorities), the Jacada staff nimbly made all the necessary arrangements, and even went the extra mile to do things like let a hotel know we were coming in early to see if our room could be cleaned first thing. It was this level of attention to detail that made the experience seamless.

Hi Matt and Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to share such wonderful feedback - it means a lot to us. It was a pleasure designing this special anniversary trip for you both, and we are so glad that you had such a great experience with us in Greece. We'll be sure to pass on all of your valuable feedback to everyone involved in your trip who made it so memorable. It was lovely to catch up after your trip last week - thank you again for choosing Jacada, and we hope to create more exciting trips for you in the future. Best wishes, Luisa & Symmone

A Luxury Trip to Costa Rica

We requested an itinerary to see the Costa Rica wildlife. Jacada designed our trip to maximize our sightings with stays at wonderful properties. Our planner listened to what we wanted and delivered the perfect trip for our needs. All of the activities planned were provided by guides with great skill and knowledge. And the Jacada ground support while we were in county was excellent, both in timeliness and substance. We plan to book with Jacada again.

Hi Vickie and William, Many thanks for such a lovely review. It was so nice to work with you both on creating your dream trip to Costa Rica to discover its amazing wildlife. Anabel and I are really glad you had a great time, that you loved the properties and felt supported by us throughout the trip. Can't wait to hear from you in the future. Best, Delfina and Anabel

Perfect, well balanced, culturally rich Family Vacation of a lifetime

We went to Marrakesh, Essaouira and Oualidia with Jacada. Our only regret was not having had more time to spend in Morocco. It was absolutely magical. James from Jacada must have been able to read our mind putting the perfect vacation together, which not only the adults but also our 6 and 10 year old boys enjoyed. Everybody we came in contact with was absolutely professional, kind, flexible and kid-friendly. We always felt safe, well taken care of and in good hands. Particular shout outs to Sallah, our guide in Marrakesh, and Mohammed, our driver.

Dear Chrissi, Thank you for your lovely review. I'm delighted to hear that your trip to Marrakesh, Essaouira, and Oualidia was such a magical experience for you and your family. Wonderful Food & Wine Tour in Portugal

We contracted with Jacada Travel on short notice (6 weeks advance) to plan a 9/10 day Food & Wine tour of Portugal. Our Travel Designer did an outstanding job of conferring with us identifying our preferences for this trip. She assembled an itinerary that encapsulated our desires and was perfect. Hotel accommodations were selected based on our preference to stay at non-chain properties that are well located for touring. Each selection was outstanding. Our trip to Portugal with Jacada was worth every penny we spent. Their attention to detail was exceptional. Every person they put us in contact with were professional, helpful, friendly and highly experienced in their role. If you are looking for a high-level, stress-free travel experience, Jacada and their reps exceeded our expectations.

Ellie put together an exciting…

Ellie put together an exciting itinerary with all the sights that I needed to see. Staying at the hotels for at least 3 nights kept the fatigue to a minimum, and all the hotels were terrific with comfortable beds and climate controlled rooms. The breakfasts were wonderful with great fresh fruit and tasty pastries. The guides were always on time and escorted me as far as they could in the airports. In all, it was a terrific trip!

Exceptional experience at a reasonable price point! We were so taken care of it set a new standard of service for us. I attribute this to both Jacada services and support as well as the Vietnam hospitality and services industry. Their partnership ensured that we were always attended to and had everything we could possibly need. I will always use Jacada for future trips. Our agents were David D'Arch and Grace Elliot. Thank you both for making this trip an experience of a lifetime!

Vietnam/ Cambodia trip

I was hesitant on using a travel service that I've never used before, and I am so happy that I found Jacada to plan our most memorable trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. It was a trip of a lifetime and I appreciate all of the thought-out planning that was customized for us, our 4 kids ranging from 11- 16 years of age and my 71-year-old mother. They took care of all the details and allowed me to enjoy my vacation and to be stress free the whole entire time. All of our personal guides were exceptional, and the places that we visited were not tourist traps and were among the most breathtaking places we've traveled to. The team at Jacada, Leanne and Cathy, were professional and knowledgeable, and I am so thankful for them. I highly recommend them, and I am excited to use them again.

Date of experience : March 23, 2024

Hi Anna, Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me the other day, and for your wonderful feedback. It was so fun to design this trip for your family, helping you to explore Vietnam and Cambodia, including your exciting off-the-beaten-track stops too. We look forward to helping you plan your upcoming anniversary trip! Best Leanne and Cathy

Amazing trip and attention to detail

Every detail of our trip was planned to ensure we had the best time and experiences. 100% will use Jacada again. Our team listed to our wants before the trip and planned an amazing 2 week vacation where we were able to experience and enjoy Latin America. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we were fully supported by local guides. The guides on each excursion/tour had incredible knowledge and passion for the areas we explored and we able to teach us a tremendous amount about local culture and history. Highly recommend planning a trip with Jacada!

Exceptional customer service

The Jacada Travel Designer (Delfina Russo) and the assigned Jacada Personal Travel Concierge (Carlos Machado) were exceptional communicators. They were reliable and cared a great deal that I felt listened to and my needs were met before, during and after the trip. I never felt alone while I traveled solo. I never felt rushed or invalidated when I discussed matters with any of them. I never felt any form of impatience. They were professional, truly attentive - they embodied exceptional customer service. My travel designer, my concierge and my local chaperones in Chile were all exemplary. I am very pleased with how my solo travel was realized from start to finish. THANK YOU, my Jacada team!

Hello Joy, Thanks for posting such a thoughtful review. It was my pleasure to bring to life your dream of getting to know the wonderful mountains of Patagonia and the history behind the Moai statues of Easter Island. Carlos and I really enjoyed working with you and helping you to planning a wonderful vacation. The team in Chile will also be thrilled to hear your kind words. Thanks again for choosing Jacada and we hope we can assist you in the future again for your next adventure. Best, Delfina and Carlos

Had a wonderful trip

Had a wonderful trip. Jacada planned out our itinerary based on what we wanted to see and do. A bit pricier than other agencies, but wanted to give them a try. Most of it was good, but sometimes the attention to details was lacking until it was questioned or brought up. Also felt like our itinerary wasn't as thoughtful as we had hoped (like spending 3 hours on the road for a 1 hour location visit or visiting similar themes at multiple places). The hotels were very nice bt we didn't spend much time there since we were busy experiencing the new culture. Overall, the trip went well and it was nice to have Jacada take care of all the planning and details. Where they could use some improvement is in paying closer attention to all the details in the itinerary, planning and communications, especially when we are paying for a premium service (that we can get for less elsewhere).

Hi Sarah, Thank you for your review. I really appreciate your time on the phone too – it was great to catch up and to run through your trip with you. I'm delighted that you had a wonderful time exploring northern Vietnam with us and that you got a really good sense of the culture while visiting, and that you enjoyed the hotels and the locations you visited. We appreciate the feedback in regards to the layout, these types of insights are invaluable to us, thank you. Your feedback will also help us to plan your next trip, hopefully another beautiful journey around Southern Vietnam & Cambodia. Best wishes, David and Cathy
