Technical Information

Security measures (e.g. Firewalls) may prevent you from establishing connection. PCVisit 10.0 uses following servers / ports (Information of pcvisit Software AG; state: January 2013):

Proxy server

Usually, pcvisit uses the proxy configuration of Internet Explorer (IE). If IE’s connection configuration is linked via text file, a valid proxy server has to be looked up manually and set within pcvisit software.

If pcvisit software cannot establish a connection successfully, a proxy dialog appears, at which the proxy server has to be set. Both host and remote host can set a proxy within settings at the tab “connection”.

Das Tool wird sowohl für Windows angeboten, worauf SmartVO läuft, als auch für MacOS, welches häufig auf Apple Computern in den Praxen betrieben wird. Zusammen mit einer sogenannten “virtuellen Maschine”, wie z.B. Parallels Desktop, kann SmartVO auch auf solchen Apple Computern genutzt werden. Da der Anschluss von Peripherie-Geräten, wie Druckern/Scannern/Kartenlesegeräten/Unterschriften-Pads, häufig Gegenstand von Kundenanfragen ist, macht es durchaus Sinn, eine Fernwartung nicht nur für den Windows-Teil, sonders auch für MacOS einzurichten.

Sollte es einmal nötig sein, das Tool # pcvisit auf einem Computer zu installieren, dann ist das ganz einfach selbstständig zu schaffen. Unsere Anleitung unterstützt Sie dabei.

Schritt 1: Software-Download

Bitte besuchen Sie die Downloadseite des Softwareanbieters und laden Sie das Tool “KUNDEN-MODUL (ADHOC)” für das gewünschte Betriebssystem (Windows oder MacOS) aus.

Schritt 2: Installation

Bitte suchen Sie im Standard-Download-Verzeichnis Ihres Computers nach der eben heruntergeladenen Datei “pcvisit_Support_Kunden_Modul.exe” (Windows) oder “Kunden-Modul.dmg” (MacOS).

Unter Windows brauchen Sie die Download-Datei lediglich an einen passenden Ordner, z.B. unter “Programme” oder auf dem “Desktop”, verschieben. Legen Sie sich am Besten eine Verknüpfung/ein Alias in der Task-Leiste an, um das Tool schnell finden zu können.

Bitte kopieren Sie die in der Download-Datei befindliche Anwendung in einen Ordner auf der Festplatte. Wir empfehlen hierfür Programme > Dienstprogramme

Bitte öffnen Sie nun die verschobene Anwendung “pcvisit Kunden-Modul starten” und bestätigen Sie die einmalige Sicherheitswarnung.

Wichtige Hinweise zu den Datenschutzeinstellungen unter MacOS

Apple legt großen Wert auf Datenschutz und bietet umfangreiche Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten unter “Einstellungen”. Damit ein Tool wie #pcvisit ordnungsgemäß funktionieren kann, müssen bestimmte Rechte erteilt werden.

Üblicherweise muss ein Nutzer diese Rechte beim ersten Zugriffsversuch durch den Kundensupport zuweisen. Hierzu öffnen sich mindestens 2 Pop-up-Fenster, welche die Genehmigung abfragen.

Wichtig: nach der Genehmigung für die “Bildschirmaufnahme” ist es notwendig, dass der Computer neugestartet werden muss! Die Support-Anfrage muss entsprechend ein zweites Mal gestellt und der Zugriff durch den Kundensupport erneut vorgenommen werden. Diese Notwendigkeit passiert nur einmal initial.

Beide Genehmigungen sind mit einem MacOS-Nutzerpasswort zu bestätigen.

Wo finde ich die vorgenommenen Einstellungen?

Sollte während der Ersteinrichtung versehentlich eine Rechteabfrage weggeklickt worden sein oder möchte man die erteilten Rechte wieder entziehen, dann findet man die # pcvisit -Rechte unter Einstellungen > Datenschutz & Sicherheit

Schritt 3: Zuordnung zum Henara Kundensupport und Start der Fernwartung

Zu guter Letzt muss dem Tool mitgeteilt werden, an welchen “Supporter” die Anfrage gestellt werden soll. Bitte tragen Sie hierzu die folgende Henara-Kennung im Reiter “Support-Anfrage” in das Feld “Firmen-ID”.

Um in Absprache mit einem Mitarbeiter des Henara-Kundensupports eine Fernwartung zu starten, klicken Sie nun den Button “Erstellen”. Bitte füllen Sie die Anfrage detailliert aus und klicken Sie auf “Senden”.

Wichtig: Zugriff erfolgt ausschließlich nur dann, wenn Sie aktiv eine Anfrage bei Henara stellen.

Is remote support possible?

After sending an e-mail with a detailed issue report to Support and a remote session will become necessary, the supporter will instruct you to download the pcvisit Client-Module or TeamViewer QuickSupport. We prefer remote sessions in the morning. This gives us enough time for the session.

Software updates are available free of charge from our Download Homepage and can be installed freely.

Costs are only payable if you have the update carried out by a SIUS technician via remote maintenance or on site.

What operation system is supported

Our PC programes work under the operating systems Windows 10 and newer. S-mode is not supported in any version. Other Microsoft operating systems and MacOS are not supported by SIUS.

Step 4: Then click OK to save the changes.

Step 1: Press Windows + X key and then tap Apps and Features .

Step 2: Scroll down the content under the Apps & features section in the prompted window to find Dell SupportAssist .

What is CSM Support in BIOS? How to enable/disable it?

You must have seen the CSM option inside BIOS whenever you entered it knowingly or unknowingly.

In this article, we are going to explain everything you need to know about what is CSM option in BIOS, why it is present there, and what is its purpose.

Also, users have been wondering if the CSM option in BIOS should be enabled or disabled and what will happen if they enable or disable it.

So we will explain everything to you down below which means that you need to read each and everything carefully.

What is CSM support in BIOS?

CSM stands for Compatibility Support Module and it is a component of the UEFI that allows legacy BIOS compatibility.

In other words, it allows the legacy operating systems to support UEFI even if they didn’t have that support at launch.

It is similar to the cross-compatibility modules that we have seen in PlayStation and Xbox consoles so that they can support older models as well.

Should CSM be enabled or disabled in your BIOS?

Now that you know what CSM stands for and what it is meant to do, you must be wondering if you should enable it or disable it inside your BIOS.

First of all, we must mention that you should not tinker with the default settings on your PC’s BIOS.

If your CSM support is enabled by default, keep it enabled and if it is disabled then you don’t need to enable it.

Apart from that, CSM support is needed for legacy operating systems.

For example, if you are running Windows 10 then it already supports UEFI which means you don’t need to enable CSM on PCs running Windows 10.

However, if your PC is running Windows XP or other legacy operating systems then you need to enable CSM in order for it to support UEFI.

How to Enable or Disable CSM support in the Asus motherboard?

To enable CSM support inside your Asus BIOS, you need to follow these steps:

• First, press and hold the F2 button while booting up your PC to enter the BIOS menu.
• Now, click on F7 or go to Advanced Mode .
• After that, click on Boot and then click on Secure Boot and then click on the dropdown menu.
• Now, select  Other OS  and then go back to the previous menu and open CSM.
• Click on the options next to Launch CSM and select enabled if you want to enable it and disabled if you want to disable it.
• Click on Exit and also select Save Changes & Reset .

How to Enable or Disable CSM support in a Gigabyte motherboard?

Follow the steps to enter BIOS on your PC as we mentioned above in the Asus guide.

Once you have entered the BIOS, follow these steps:

• Navigate to the BIOS tab and double-click the CSM support option.
• Set the CSM support to enabled or disabled based on your preference and then go to the Power tab and click on Save & Exit Setup option.

How to Enable or Disable CSM support in ASRock motherboard?

• Restart your PC and press the F2 key to enter BIOS and switch to the Boot tab and scroll down to the CSM option and see if it is enabled or disabled.
• If it is enabled and you want to disable it then select Disabled and vice-versa.
• Go to the Exit tab and click on Save and Exit and the computer will restart with the applied changes.

How to Enable or Disable CSM support in MSI motherboard?

To enable or disable CSM support on your MSI motherboard, enter the BIOS menu by pressing the Delete key.

• After that, click on the Boot tab and go to Boot mode select and select UEFI only  to disable the CSM option.
• Press the F10 key to save changes and exit BIOS and your PC will reboot automatically.

As we mentioned earlier, the CSM support inside BIOS on your motherboard is a module meant to provide support to run UEFI properly on legacy operating systems such as Windows XP or older.

If you have Windows 10 or 11 installed on your PC, you don’t need to worry about UEFI support as it already does so very well.

Schauen Sie einmal unten rechts in Ihrem Supporter-Modul, Kunden-Modul oder Remote-Host nach: Wenn dort die Versionsnumer 22.4.19.1900 oder jünger steht, bestens!

So updaten Sie das Supporter-Modul (Client)

Sobald Ihnen eine neue Version des Supporter-Moduls zur Verfügung steht, wird diese automatisch heruntergeladen. Sie erhalten beim Zahnrad-Icon einen Hinweis.

Nach dem Klick auf das Zahnrad-Icon wird Ihnen das Update auf die neueste Version vorgeschlagen. Klicken Sie auf “Aktualisieren” um fortzufahren.

Nach dem Klick auf “Installieren” erfolgt eine Sicherheitsabfrage. Anschließend schließt sich das Modul und startet automatisch in der neuen Version.

Hinweis: Vereinzelt kann es vorkommen, dass ein Update nicht automatisch heruntergeladen und im Supporter-Modul angezeigt wird. Dies tritt vor allem auf, wenn auf dem Rechner parallel ein Remote-Host installiert ist.

Im Download-Bereich der pcvisit Website können Sie die jeweils aktuelle Version manuell herunterladen und installieren. Eine Deinstallation des bisher verwendeten Moduls ist nicht nötig.

Das Kunden-Model sollte sich bei jedem Start automatisch updaten. Falls das nicht der Fall ist, kann die neueste Version hier auf der pcvisit Website heruntergeladen werden. Falls ein Kunden-Model im Hintergrundmodus läuft, muss dieses erst beendet werden. 

So updaten Sie den Remote-Host

Sie erhalten in der Remote-Host-Liste Ihres Supporter-Moduls einen Hinweis, sobald ein Update vorliegt. Sofern Sie nicht festgelegt haben, dass der pcvisit Remote-Host automatisch aktualisiert werden soll.

Diesen Hinweis (Icon) klicken Sie an und es öffnet sich der Remote-Host-Einstellungsdialog in der Update-Sektion. Jetzt können Sie das Update starten.

Sie können außerdem mit der erweiterten Suchoption in Ihrer pcvisit WebApp nach Remote-Hosts/Computern suchen, die nicht Version 22.4.19.1900 sind:
