Glamping kent: 33 amazing places you need to stay at [2024].

Hey, I’m Lucy and I’m a self-proclaimed glamping addict.

I’ve stayed in everything from treehouses to geodomes to shepherds huts, and pretty much everything in-between.

This means I’m well placed to share the best glamping holidays in Kent with you!

If you’re planning a glamping holiday in Kent, you’re making a great decision because there are a whole host of amazing places for you to pick from. And I’m here to share the best of the best with you!

So from treehouses and shepherds huts to bell tents and safari tents, here are 33 amazing glamping holidays in Kent.

1. The Lodge Treehouse

Price per night:  From £190 for 2 people

Location:  Stelling, nr Folkestone

The Lodge Treehouse looks like it was plucked straight out of a fairytale, and if that’s not reason enough to pay it a visit, then I’m not sure what is.

Just imagine your excitement as you first climb those steps towards your magical home amid the trees!

If somehow that thought alone doesn’t have you rushing to book a stay, here are some more reasons: a sumptuous double bed, wall-mounted TV, log burner, seated bar area, coffee machine, power shower, and the best bit of it all, an open-air spa bath.

Go on, book a stay – I know you want to!

What guests say:  “Absolutely gorgeous. Loved it. Beautiful surroundings and all the little details in the treehouse were lovely. A hamper with sausages, bacon, eggs, juice and bubbles. Waking up to Rodney the ram and watching the hens putting themself to bed was so cute. Have very special memories of this place.”

2. Luna Domes

Price per night:  From £230 for 4 people

Location:  Chiddingstone Hoath, nr Royal Tunbridge Wells

For one of the more unique glamping holidays in Kent, book a stay at Luna Domes .

Set among some pretty picturesque countryside, each dome is surrounded by natural grass plains and woodland, allowing for total peace and privacy.

Inside each dome, you’ll discover all kinds of luxuries, including two floating king-size beds, a private heated bathroom, a Nespresso machine, Wi-Fi, media console, dressing robes and slippers, and a private hot tub!

What guests say:  “Honestly I am obsessed with Luna Domes! You get the true feel of being in nature but with a luxurious feel… the domes are so beautiful inside and out with every single thing thought of. A large fridge, coffee machine with coffee pods… even found a cocktail shaker! Everything had been thought of!”

3. Hut in the Vines

Price per night:  From £150 for 2 people

Location:  Barham, nr Canterbury

If you’re a sucker for gorgeous interiors, then Hut in the Vines has to be near the top of your glamping holidays in Kent bucket list!

There are way too many amazing things about this hut to mention, so I’ll share just a few of my favourites.

Firstly, it’s set in the back end of their vineyard with the most unreal views. And who doesn’t love a vineyard?

Secondly, just outside your hut, you’ll find a traditional wood-fired hot tub, a BBQ, table-top pizza oven, and an electric wall heater, all lit with festoon lighting.

Finally, you can expect a similar story inside, with a plush wool mattress, wood-burning stove, and en-suite bathroom.

What guests say:   “The hut is a special place, immaculate in its presentation and attention to detail, picture-postcard location, great facilities for your BBQ or making a pizza dinner, a proper fridge for food and champagne storage, lovely complimentary breakfast goods supplied, beautiful hand wash and shower gel.”

4. Elmley Nature Reserve Shepherds Huts

Price per night:  From £130 for 2 people and £170 for 4 people

Location:  Elmley, nr Sittingbourne

Elmley Nature Reserve Shepherds Huts have been at the top of my UK glamping bucket list for yeeears now.

And who could blame me when they’re this beautiful?

The nature reserve is home to an impressive six shepherds huts, each as stunning as the last.

The huts range from smaller, more intimate offerings such as the aptly-named Little Owl, all the way to larger huts, such as The Saltbox, arguably the most famous of the lot.

(Though I’d recommend booking a stay in The Damson for its outdoor bath!)

As you can probably tell, a stay here is already very special as it is, but you can make it even better by ordering hampers right to your hut!

What guests say:  “Saltbox is so beautifully designed and positioned; it comes complete with incredibly comfy bed, lovely hot shower, well equipped compact kitchen and an uninterrupted view across the marshland. Outside you are provided with your own fire bowl, a bucket of wood (as well as a jar of marshmallows for toasting!)”

5. Elmley Nature Reserve Bell Tents

If Elmley Nature Reserve has caught your eye, but you fancy getting a little closer to nature, why not consider a stay in one of their Bell Tents ?

There’s something to suit every taste, whether you fancy sleeping in woodland or a meadow.

If you choose the former, you’ll get to enjoy electricity, your own private swing, and views across the reserve to the estuary.

However, if you opt for the latter, you’ll get to wake up to beautiful sunrises and spectacular views across the marsh.

Either way, you’ll still benefit from comfy double beds, and loos not too far away.

What guests say:   “It was such a relaxing and peaceful stay! The nature walks through the marshes were beautiful, we saw lots of wildlife (birds, hares, a hedgehog!), our tent was cosy and comfortable, everything we needed was provided. It was so convenient to be able to cook our own meals on the barbecue, but also order a supper hamper for a rainy night.”

6. Sandy Toes Beach House

Price per night:  From £285 for 5 people

Location:  Leysdown-on-Sea, Isle of Sheppey

This one’s for the beach bums and water babies among us!

Okay, it might not be Hawaii, but you’ll love a stay in Sandy Toes Beach House if you’re happiest by the water.

Situated on the Isle of Sheppey, the beach house enjoys amazing views of the North Kent coast from the height of its stilts and through its wide windows.

Aside from the coast, you can also expect to see fishermen, paddleboarders, and nudists too.

Yep, that’s right, about 150m down the sand to the right, there’s a popular nudist spot.

But if you’re not interested in any of that stuff, you can hunker down inside your spacious, yet cosy, house.

What guests say:  “We immediately felt welcome and relaxed. It’s truly off the grid but super cosy. We spent the days walking in the neighbouring nature reserve, beachcombing, slow cooking, bird watching and teaching the kids to play backgammon. But mostly, we just looked at the phenomenal view – the huge skies and changing tides meant that it constantly refreshed.”

7. Greenhill Glamping Shepherds Huts

Price per night:  From £140 for 2 people

Location:  South Alkham, nr Dover

How do panoramic views of rolling green fields sound? Good?

Then you need to get yourself down to Greenhill Glamping Shepherds Huts pronto!

The views here really are second-to-none but you have to experience them for yourself to really believe them.

But that’s not the only reason to book a stay here.

Both huts are ridiculously cosy and come complete with a bespoke king-size bed, luxury ensuite, kitchen with a Nespresso coffee machine, and a wood-burning stove.

On top of all this, you can make your stay extra special by booking a breakfast hamper, pack lunch, or mini gift bags!

What guests say:  “We had an amazing time in Ploughman’s retreat. A unique experience in a wonderful setting. The hut has been impeccably restored with every last detail thought of. We had lovely breakfasts outside taking in the view which was a wonderful way to start the day. BBQs over the fire pit and roasting marshmallows while watching the sunset were highlights.”

8. The Enchanted Faraway Tree

Price per night:  From £185 for 2 people

Location:  Honey Hill, nr Canterbury

My blog (Faraway Lucy) was named after the Enchanted Faraway Tree book series, so I’m kind of obliged to book a stay in The Enchanted Faraway Tree .

I mean, I can’t complain when it’s this cosy. Just look at that skylight! Think of the stargazing opportunities!

This treehouse is basically romance at its finest, not least because it also benefits from a wood-fired hot tub that you and your loved one can soak in to your heart’s content.

And after you’ve gone for a dip, you can head to the twin outdoor hot water shower to wash yourself off.

What guests say:  “There are no words to describe how beautiful the  Enchanted Faraway Tree is! It surpassed expectations! Left for us was a lovely little welcome bag with lots of lovely treats and they even took the time to put up balloons and a lovely 30th decoration, plus the Prosecco in the fridge was a lovely touch! The place was immaculate and we left feeling so refreshed and relaxed!”

9. Gulliver the Quirky Camper

Price per night:  From £175 for 2 people

Situated on the same site as the Enchanted Faraway Tree, you’ll find Gulliver the Quirky Camper .

Now, you may be thinking ‘A camper? I want to stay in more than just a camper for my glamping holiday!’ but please let me assure you that this isn’t just any old camper.

Especially because it benefits from its own private wood-fired hot tub!

It’s also surprisingly spacious inside with a double bed, wood-burning stove and mod cons a-plenty, including a fridge, mini electric oven/grill, and a two ring gas hob.

Plus, there’s even an outdoor TV for you to watch while in the tub.

What guests say:  “We wanted something different from the norm. And  Gulliver the Quirky Camper was just that! On arrival, we were just amazed by how much detail was put into everything, from the rope edging to the little copper pipes housing the wire for the little lights. We were even blessed with a goodie pack of snacks and breakfast bits plus a lovely chilled bottle of Prosecco in the fridge.”

10. Tree House Hideaway

Price per night:  From £271 for 2 people

Last but absolutely by no means least in our Honey Hill glamping offerings we have Tree House Hideaway .

Sitting six metres off the ground amongst willows, conifers and fruit trees, it’s easy to feel at one with nature here.

But don’t worry because this treehouse is far from camping.

As evidenced in its price tag, Tree House Hideaway is the most luxurious of the lot and is more akin to a small holiday home, if anything.

Expect all sorts of modern luxuries, such as underfloor heating, a SKY TV with a DVD player, a dishwasher, and a private hot tub.

What guests say:  “Below the treehouse was a double swing, two sunbeds, a chimenea and the highlight, a hot tub set in a fairytale rock feature. On entering the treehouse we were surprised at how big and spacious it was. There was a lovely touch with a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and a complimentary bag of tasty local goodies!”

11. Hedgehog Hall Cabin

Price per night:  From £125 for 2 people

Location:  Paddock, nr Ashford

Hedgehog Hall Cabin may be small but boy does it pack a punch.

Cute, cosy and ridiculously intimate, it’s an ideal romantic getaway for you and your loved one (or, well, anyone you don’t mind getting a little up close and personal with!).

It’s also a great break for wildlife lovers as the eco-farm and surrounding ancient woodland are home to a whole host of animals.

Whether it’s wild deer or red kites, you’re sure to spot all kinds of creatures!

But even if animals aren’t your jam, this cabin is worth a stay in its own right, not least because it benefits from its own eco wood-fired hot tub.

What guests say:  “We had a wonderful stay, loved how the hall was set apart from the other properties on the farm. The hall, kitchen and wood-fired hot tub were well equipped. We had a lovely walk in the woods recommended by the host and had dinner at the local pub one night.”

12. Rose Shepherds Hut

Price per night:  From £100 for 2 adults and 2 children

Location: Paddock, nr Ashford

On the lookout for some amazing hot tub views?

Well, that’s exactly what you’ll get to experience if you book a stay in Rose Shepherds Hut .

Situated on a small organic farm in the heart of the Kent Downs AONB overlooking a swimming lake, the hut enjoys some of the best views of any glamping site in Kent.

The beautiful handmade hut warrants a visit in its own right, thanks to its well-equipped interior, free Wi-Fi, private deck, and charcoal BBQ.

What guests say:  “The setting is idyllic with the woodlands all around and the beautiful lake. I have never seen so many swallows and watching them dive down to the lake while lazing in the hot tub was the most relaxed I have felt in months! The hut has everything you could need and more.”

13. Wheatfields Luxury Safari Tents

Price per night:  From £170 for 8 people

Location:  Rye, nr Hastings

I’ve seen my fair share of safari tents in my time, but not many come close to Wheatfields Luxury Safari Tents , especially the larger of the two tents, Skylark, that even benefits from glass bi-fold doors.

Set on the edge of Romney Marsh, the two spacious tents sleep up to eight people each, making them a great option for families looking to go glamping in Kent.

And with hot showers, wood burners and luxurious bedding, you won’t feel like you’re missing out on the luxuries of home.

What guests say:  “What can I say, this place is amazing. We stayed in Sandpiper and it has everything you could want! It has a beautiful view, a large stylish and spacious interior with the most comfortable beds, a good shower and a fire pit! There’s everything you need for a comfortable stay and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking.”

14. Leeds Castle Knights Glamping Tents

Price per night:  From £110 for 2 people (additional children are charged at £25 per child)

Location:  Broomfield, nr Maidstone

Ideal for families with young children, Leeds Castle Knights Glamping Tents will keep the little’uns entertained for hours!

The tents themselves are surprisingly luxurious with a four-poster bed, cosy electric flame effect stove, crisp cotton bedding and snug furry throws.

And on top of all this, there’s also plenty to do on-site too.

Whether you do a falconry experience, Go Ape in the trees, go on a segway tour, or just explore the castle and grounds, there’s plenty to keep you busy.

What guests say:  “Our tent was perfectly positioned with its own decking and felt private. The tent itself is brilliant, inside the four-poster bed was super comfy and warm. Tea and coffee making facilities, bathrobes, hot water bottles and throws. The wood-burning fire and logs were perfect and were definitely needed once the sun went down.”

15. Gooseberry Field Airstream

Price per night:  From £134 for 2 people

Location:  Pluckley, nr Ashford

Swiftly taking you from the fields of Kent to the deserts of America, Gooseberry Field Airstream will have you living out your American dream in no time.

You know a place is really cool when the accommodation isn’t even the highlight.

And that’s the case with this airstream as it has a private one-of-a-kind Victorian Carriage converted wood-fired hot tub.

I’ve seen a lot of hot tubs in my time, but nothing like this!

However, if the airstream (and its accompanying tub) somehow doesn’t take your fancy, they also have several luxury bell tents on-site for you to choose from.

What guests say:   “We had the most amazing time. The airstream is super lovely inside and out. It includes a toilet, shower, fridge and kettle. Even a spare plug socket to charge your phone, so you can take some awesome photos of the campsite – trust me – you will want to!”

16. Huntingfield Hut

Price per night:  From £100 for 2 people

Location:  Throwley Forstal, nr Faversham

Sitting in a quiet spot on the lawns of Huntingfield House, the adorable little Huntingfield Hut makes for the ultimate romantic getaway for two.

I mean, come on, click through to their website and just look at that queen-sized cabin bed!

Who doesn’t want to curl up there with their loved one?

Aside from a very inviting bed, the hut also comprises a little log burner, a kitchenette with an original Georgian saddleback sink, and an en-suite with a nice hot shower.

The hut is secluded enough to enjoy privacy, but has the added benefit of being close enough to the house that you can get warm bacon rolls delivered to your door each morning! Deeee-licious.

What guests say:   “It was romantic, rustic and will be remembered forever. The surrounding area of the grounds was beautiful. Waking up to those views calmed our souls. Our hosts made us feel very welcome. The little personal touches we appreciated, for example, on our arrival the retro radio was on and set to a jazz station and there were wildflowers picked for our table – cute and thoughtful.”

17. Port Lympne Giraffe Lodges

Price per night:  From £445 for 4 people

Location:  Lympne, nr Folkestone

Port Lympne Giraffe Lodges may be the most expensive place to go glamping in Kent, but if you can afford it, it’s worth every penny.

I mean, how many people can say they’ve slept in a lodge with giraffes just parading around outside? Not many, that’s for sure.

With a watering hole right beneath the ten lodges, you couldn’t be closer to the action – and the best bit is that you don’t have to compromise on comfort either.

Every tent has an en-suite, heating, lighting, fluffy towels, and dressing gowns.

Plus, breakfast and dinner are included in the price too!

What guests say:  “I could not fault this place and I am so glad I booked it. If you are looking for a nice relaxing night with awesome food and awesome views this is the stay for you! The tent was gorgeous. Comfy beds. The view was amazing, we saw zebra, wildebeest and many types of deer very close while staying in the tent.”

18. Port Lympne Forest Hideaway

If you like the thought of sleeping safari-style but can’t afford Giraffe Lodge, your next best option is booking a stay in their Forest Hideaway .

You’ll sleep in a cosy cabin filled with all sorts of luxuries while being surrounded by towering pine trees and the calls of the wild.

From a double bed and an indoor wood burner to a monsoon shower and Smart TV, there’s everything you could possibly want under one roof.

Your stay also includes exclusive access to the park after hours so you can live the safari experience all by yourself!

What guests say:   “These cute cabins offer all anyone could need/want for an amazing overnight stay. Well furnished, with tea/coffee facilities, fridge, compact bathroom and outdoor seating. Located within earshot of lions! Have a tour when the visitors have gone home – it enabled us to see tigers/lions/bears/rhino/gorillas virtually within arms’ reach.”

Location:  Edenbridge, nr Tonbridge

If you’re looking for one of the more unique glamping holidays in Kent, you’ll find just that in Sergeant Troy Shepherds Hut .

I mean how many glamping sites come complete with their own llama paddock?

Sat in its own private woodland clearing, Sergeant Troy is perfectly placed for you to switch off from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

20. Rankins Farm Pods

Price per night:  From £90 for 2 adults and 2 children

Location:  Linton, nr Maidstone

You’ve probably seen your fair share of bang average glamping pods in your time but you haven’t seen those at Rankins Farm .

These pods deserve a special shoutout purely thanks to their surroundings.

It’s safe to say they’re pretty good.

The six self-contained glamping pods are surprisingly spacious, comprising a double bed, sofa bed, kitchen and an en-suite bathroom.

And don’t worry about feeling the cold because all the pods are heated with underfloor heating!

What guests say:  “I can’t say anything negative about Rankins Farm. The two hosts are extremely kind and accommodating and genuinely care about their guests. The pods are extremely well equipped, very spacious and the sofa bed is even larger than the actual bed!”

21. Preston Court Bell Tents

Price per night:  From £80 for 6 people

Location:  Preston, nr Canterbury

For one of the cheaper glamping holidays in Kent, book a stay in Preston Court Bell Tents .

With prices starting from just £13 per person a night, you’d be silly not to stay here, especially when the tents are so beautiful.

This 600-acre estate is home to two separate glamping areas: the Glamping Meadow and the Woodland Glade.

Both have their own merits so it all comes down to which area you prefer!

However, you can rest assured that regardless of which area you choose, you can expect proper beds, crisp cotton sheets, snuggly throws, and even better surroundings.

What guests say:  “We had the most magical stay. There was nothing I would change… Izzy was amazing, welcoming and there if we needed anything at all. The glamping tents were beautiful and equipped with everything one would need for a perfect stay.”

22. Chegworth Mill Tents

Price per night:  From £110 for 2 people (plus £15 per child per night, or £25 for 16+)

Location:  Chegworth, nr Maidstone

The views at Chegworth Mill Tents are pretty spectacular.

And if good views aren’t enough to warrant booking a stay somewhere then I don’t know what is.

On-site, there are three bell tents to choose from, Freckles Apple, Galmac Apple, and Russet Apples, all named after apples grown in the orchard next door.

Each tent comprises electric mains, heating, a comfy king-size bed and two twin beds, and a private bathroom.

And if this wasn’t enough, the accommodation is also a B&B so you can expect to wake up to a light continental breakfast of cereals, croissants, bread, fruit, juice, and more!

What guests say:  “We highly recommend this glamping site, run by lovely people, they go the extra mile on everything. We had breakfast baskets each morning with eggs from their own chicks and fruit juices made from their own orchard. The tent itself was beautiful! All the furnishings were great and lots of room for our things.”

23. Ham Hideaway Safari Tent

Price per night:  From £250 for 6 people

Location:  Ham, nr Dover

Ham Hideaway’s Safari Tents are seriously beautiful.

Sleeping up to six people each, these two safari tents are a great option for families or a group of friends looking to go glamping in Kent.

The tents benefit from everything from sumptuous bedding to superfast Wi-Fi to a range of gourmet catering options.

Yep, that’s right, you can pay a little extra for an afternoon tea arrival hamper, BBQ hamper, or breakfast or dinner brought straight to your tent.

However, if you’re crazy and the safari tents somehow don’t tickle your pickle, then you can also stay in Ham Hideaway’s Shepherds Huts .

What guests say:  “The safari tent was furnished to a very high standard with lots of classy finishing touches. The welcome hamper was a real treat! The beds were comfy and the rooms were cosy and warm with the heating system. The service was first class. They went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.”

Think proper beds with sprung mattresses, luxury cotton bedding, and all the blankets and cushions!

What guests say:  “Wow, can’t speak highly enough of Longberry Farm. The team have thought of everything from the ‘Secret Spa’ to hot water bottles and slippers… The site is beautiful and tucked away, with a hot tub too. 25. Elham Treehouse

Price per night:  From £110 for 2 people

Location:  Elham, nr Folkestone

Elham Treehouse is what childhood dreams are made of.

However, it’s also what adult dreams are made of too.

Because unlike a lot of treehouses, Elham is priced at a reasonable £110 a night, which boils down to just £55 a night each.

Living out your childhood dream is definitely made a lot better when it’s kind to your wallet too!

Located on a 15th-century farmstead, this rustic treehouse benefits from a cosy bed you’ll never want to leave, but maybe the beautiful surroundings may tempt you…

What guests say:  “This a magical and beautiful place to stay. We had a lovely walk into the village, cooked Romney Marsh lamb on the BBQ and stayed out under the stars drinking whisky. We loved the way the tree goes through the room and even has oak leaves growing through and the bed was super comfy.”

26. Free Range Glamping

Price per night:  From £70 for 2 people and £110 for 4 people

Secondly, all the accommodation is simple but beautifully decorated, so you can get closer to nature without compromising on home comforts.

And lastly – okay you got me – the views are just seriously special!

What guests say:   “We had everything we needed for a fun, relaxing and comfortable stay. The hut is cosy and has good insulation so it was warm on our recent autumn trip. The site is quiet and you have enough space between the huts and yurts so you have privacy. The outdoor shower is a fun experience, especially on a sunny day.”

27. Little Halden Farm Safari Tent

£14 per person per night? Count me in!

Set on a raised deck with a spacious porch, the safari tent is well-placed to enjoy views of some of Kent’s best countryside.

(However, I’d personally recommend enjoying the views from your campfire after you’ve made your own pizza!)

Inside, the tent is just as well-equipped with plenty of beds to spread yourselves across.

But, if the safari tent somehow doesn’t take your fancy, it’s your lucky day because you also have huts and yurts galore to choose from.

What guests say:  “Stayed in a safari tent which is huge! Lots of little extras like welcome hamper and charging spot for phones. This spot has the most stunning scenery and we even set our alarms to catch the sunrise. The facilities were good. Showers lovely and all was spotless.”

The Nut Plat Retreat is the perfect glamping holiday in Kent for you if you fancy going back to a time where life was a lot slower.

The perfect opportunity to disconnect from modern life, these two boutique vans are set in their own private space, with a separate hut for their bathroom and kitchen.

In each van, you’ll find a double bed with a cosy feather duvet and pillows, a fold-down table and chairs, and plenty of games, books and a pack of cards to keep you entertained.

Ready for a dip, anyone?

What guests say:   “Everything we needed was provided for us. Literally, just bring food and drink. Loved waking up to the birds in the morning. It was so relaxing we didn’t leave the site for our entire stay. Just what we wanted. The hot tub is a must, we used it every day at least twice a day!”

Words really can’t do these safari tents justice as they’re just so beautiful.

However, what I can tell you is that they each comprise king-size and single beds, a well-appointed bathroom, a fabulous wood-burning stove, a well-stocked kitchen, a campfire, and a spacious covered veranda.

What guests say:  “Amazing lodges and beautiful location. Owners could not do enough for you. The children and adults thoroughly enjoyed the campfire and loved picking the fresh eggs and stroking the horses. We would thoroughly recommend and look forward to returning in the future.”

Dinosaur Forest at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve in Kent

We’re not a zoo

  • Port Lympne Reserve is a breeding sanctuary for rare and endangered animals and wherever possible we aim to send animals born here to protected areas of their natural habitat where they can live free – just as they should be.
  • We always make sure that the animals come first, from enclosure design to diet, no expense is spared. We grow our own herbs and vegetables and source our meat from trustworthy suppliers.
  • We design our enclosures with the animals in mind, so there’s lots of natural foliage and furniture to provide shelter and camouflage.
  • We never lock our animals into viewing areas, so, just like in the wild, it may take some time to spot certain animals.
  • We do our best to provide a fantastic visitor experience, whilst not forgetting the primary reason we’re here – to ensure the survival of endangered animals.
TRIPADVISOR Wonderful Day Out An excellent place to visit - see the animals close up and enjoy excellent food at Baby Dolls restaurant. Friendly helpful staff everywhere around the huge park. The Safari ride is a must do. A great day out at a great price. Ken S. Written August 26, 2021
TRIPADVISOR Super Safari The reserve is large and offers a lovely day out. I highly recommend booking the safari as this was the best part of our visit. Amy Rogers. Written August 6, 2021
TRIPADVISOR An unbelievable experience We were all amazed at just how good this place is. We stayed in the hotel for two nights so got two full days in the park. Everything is so well organised and the safari drives are brilliant. You get to see so many animals close up. We have been to a South African safari and we saw more animals here than we did there. We were very luck with the weather which added to the experience. You have to give this place a try, you will love it and the kids will too. Gary F. Written October 6, 2020

Little Halden Farm

Glamping In Kent At Little Halden Farm

Our new wren and swallow pods with hot tubs are now available to book  .

Hello and welcome from everyone here at Little Halden Farm Glamping and Summer Campsite in Kent.

Little Halden Farm have been offering authentic Glamping experiences in Kent since 2012. We were, when we first started, probably one of the very first Glamping sites in the Kent area.

We have welcomed many guests to come and stay with us on the farm. We’re really looking forward to helping you along the way in booking your very own Glamping experience. Whether it’s your first time or you have stayed with us before we really cannot wait to see you again.

Little Halden Farm provides an amazing Glamping experience at our farm in Kent and we have some wonderful Glamping accommodation for you to stay in. The Glamping site is set well back from the lane entrance and provides stunning views over the countryside towards Tenterden. The site offers peaceful surroundings set between an exclusive woodland.

New for 2022 are our two Pods which take the Glamping experience to a whole new level with exclusive use of a hot tub for each Pod.

Our Glamping site is set in the beautiful countryside of Kent known as ‘The Garden of England’ close to the Kent/Sussex border.

Why choose Little Halden Farm for your Glamping or Camping holiday in Kent?

At Little Halden Farm we really want your Glamping experience to be a great one and take pride in offering accommodation that will meet and hopefully exceed your expectations.

The village of Rolvenden is just a 20 minute walk from the Glampsite and has a well stocked village shop and two pubs. The historic town of Tenterden is just a few minutes drive down the road too.

In a valley between woodland we think you will enjoy our Summer Campsite. We limit the number of pitches to just twenty. As a result you can park right next to where you pitch your tent.  In the six acre field you will be able to find that perfect pitch with the added bonus of being able to have a campfire. Take a look at the Summer Camping page to get more info and to make an enquiry to stay.

What our guests have to say...

We had a lovely stay in the Wren pod. It has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Very picturesque surroundings and so lovely to spend a few days here. The hot tub is perfect for 2 people. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for this kind of holiday. Jonathan was extremely helpful in the build up with local recommendations and clear instructions for arriving / checking in, very quick to reply which is great.

"Swallow Pod"

We had a lovely stay here. It was the perfect relaxing weekend escape from busy London we needed. Super tranquil, the hot tub overlooking that beautiful view was amazing. The pod was super cosy and clean, very modern with all the essentials you need. The kitchen was full of all the bits you need, so we ended up making most of our meals there rather than going out. Highly recommend!

Adam, November 22

Our stay in Swallow Pod was perfect and allowed us to completely switch off from the outside world and relax. The pod was situated in a beautiful and virtually silent location, very tastefully executed and with everything you could possibly need. The pod and outside area was spotlessly clean and excellently cared for. Jonathan was a very professional, yet warm, host and communication / information sharing was excellent. A 6 minute drive into Tenterden town for lovely restaurants, cafes and shops. We would love to return!

Abbie, October 22

We had an amazing stay! The accommodation was so clean and well organised. Jonathan was so helpful with any questions we had. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family and look forward to going back at some point soon.

Lili, October 22

Swallow pod is a great getaway from the city! Even though we don’t have a car to get around, it is still accessible by walking and taking the public transport. Jonathan is very helpful to us in navigating our way around the area. The hot tub is the highlight of our trip as we relaxed ourselves after our stroll to the nearby village of Rolvenden and Tenterden. All in all, it is such a nice experience that I would definitely recommend to everyone to try.

Edward, October 22

Everything was absolutely amazing. This is our second time here and will definitely be returning. Love how nice, quiet and secluded it feels. Love the cows in the morning as they seem very friendly! The hot tub is exactly what was needed for a nice relaxing stay. Clear and easy directions to get there. Nice little staycation. Thanks to Jonathan for being a nice host.

Aneta, October 22

This pod was a great stay. The pod was so clean and the hot tub was a great addition. The location was great, a 20 minute walk to the local pub. Jonathan replied instantly, I would definitely return.

Max, October 22

We had an absolutely incredible stay. The pod was immaculate, well-appointed, cozy, comfortable and had all the luxuries we needed like a dishwasher, electric BBQ, outdoor fire pit and the amazing hot tub. Jonathan was friendly and responsive. We will definitely be staying again. Thanks for an amazing time!

Julia, October 22

Amazing stay in Wren pod! Communication from Jonathan was great including accurate and easy to follow directions. Lots of extra little touches that weren’t expected but very much appreciated. Lovely location, very peaceful and a perfect place to relax and unwind. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

Sarah, September 2022

This place is fabulous for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle. The place was spotless and the hot tub is just the perfect addition to this quaint pod stay. The cows and sheep are just a stones throw away and you can watch the stars at night in the tub with the campfire burning. The pod has everything you need and Jonathan was a perfect host. We would definitely like to return.

Chevorne, September 2022

Located behind a secret entrance & nestled in acreage overlooked by towering ancient beech trees and rolling Kent Countryside, The Ham Hideaway glamping retreat is so-named as it is located at Ham, Sandwich. Our site is nestled amongst a maze of rural footpaths and a very short walk from Ham Fen, Kent’s last surviving ancient natural fenland.

Ham Fen is a refuge for very distinctive and rare wildlife including the Eurasian beaver. Following the fantastic work completed by the Kent Wildlife trust to repair the natural fenland environment in 2002 the fenland is now flourishing as are its furry residents. The hideaway is located adjacent to a very busy country hotel The Blazing Donkey.

SO MANY THINGS TO DO (or just relax)

Sandwich Bay is also within walking distance via a network of picturesque public footpaths making it a very pleasant stroll & the historic market town of Sandwich is not to be missed!

This is a special place, a special experience- and if you are seeking adventure and you are outdoorsy-ish, crave the chance to disconnect from the norm, embrace nature and enjoy the tranquility of being “off-grid” in a beautiful setting then Ham Hideaway Glamping Retreat is for you!

If you want to be a bit (but not too much) on the grid there are Castles a plenty, Cathedrals, the ports of Ramsgate, Dover, and Deal all near with pubs and restaurants.

Kent is also famous for Golf with a number of 'Links' courses which have held major tournaments within a short drive.

Glamping at Gravel Pit Farm – Luxury Safari Tents in Marden, Kent

Price: From £175 / night

Sleeps: up to 6 adults

Location: Marden, Kent

Gravel Pit Farm is so much more than just a glamping site. First and foremost it’s a working farm and home to owners Annabel and Simon. Having raised their own family on the farm they were keen to share their love of the great outdoors and evenings spent around the campfire with a wider audience. After months of research and fine tuning Glamping at Gravel Pit Farm finally opened in June 2019.

safari tent glamping kent

Gravel Pit Farm is found in the pretty village of Marden in Kent. Despite feeling very rural the village is directly connected to London via rail making the farm all the easier to escape to for a weekend getaway. By car the site is also easy to reach thanks to the M20 which can be accessed 25 minutes away at Maidstone. This location also works as an ideal stop over for crossings into Europe at either Folkestone or Dover.

safari tent glamping kent

There are just 2 safari tents at Gravel Pit Farm meaning that the vast space they sit in is pretty much exclusively yours. Both tents sit behind the main farm in a large paddock with wide, sweeping views looking towards big skies. The sun sets directly in front of the decking allowing for long evenings spent on the porch. Annabel explained she chose Clear Sky Safari Tents as they offer fantastic year round safari style accommodation – and are rather conveniently based down the road in Paddock Wood. Annabel has custom designed the interior to include some really unique touches such as the cupboard snug beds (which the children loved!), the four poster bed in the double room and the vintage decor throughout both tents. The result is a luxurious fun space that offers the perfect blend of feeling close to nature whilst maintaining all the comforts of a high end stay.

Living spaces

Each tent accommodates up to 6 people with interiors made up of 3 bedrooms (one double, 1 twin and 1 double cupboard, snug), there’s also a bathroom with hot shower and flushing toilet and a large kitchen / diner / lounge area. An additional toilet / washroom is available for each tent in a separate out house to allow extra privacy at busy wash times. The tent feels bright and spacious with good quality lighting throughout. There’s also WiFi, fridge, hob and super smart wood burning stove for chilly nights.

safari tent glamping kent

The bedrooms are about as private as you can get under canvas thanks to sturdy sliding door paneling. The double bed is a pretty four poster draped with netting for a real sense of the Serengeti. Next door is a twin – both bedrooms provide ample storage with beds made up with crisp white sheets and additional blankets. The sleeping highlight is definitely the cupboard snug which offers an additional double sleeping space in a magical cupboard adorned with fairy lights. All beds are fitted with electric blankets and there are hot water bottles a plenty to ensure guests are kept toasty through all seasons.

safari tent glamping kent

The tents both have an en suite bathroom with toilet, shower, and sink. Wash products and fluffy towels are provided. There’s a radiator to keep towels warm and dry while keeping the room snug and cosy even on the coldest mornings. Each tent also has it’s own additional toilet and wash space in an external cabin ensuring that guests are guaranteed privacy and free access to facilities as and when needed.

Outdoor Spaces

The space, views and country living are what really make a stay at Gravel Pit Farm. The space is vast yet safe and enclosed. If cooking al fresco is your thing there’s a dedicated outdoor cooking space with a two-tiered BBQ for each tent. There’s a communal timber covered area next to the BBQ’s making cooking outdoors an option even when it’s wet. The children loved exploring the surrounding fields and bridleways before spending the evening sat around the campfire toasting marshmallows and making s’mores. We, on the other hand were able to sit back and enjoy a glass of bubbles and enjoy their antics, giggling as the evening drew in. Bliss.

safari tent glamping kent

Annabel and Simon are incredibly welcoming inviting guests to help themselves to freshly laid eggs from the hens nesting boxes. The children were fascinated to see the process of choosing an warm egg straight from underneath the hen to eating it 15 minutes later. You can’t get much fresher than that! There’s also horses in an adjoining paddock and the farm dogs pottering about. Dogs are welcome to stay in the tents and are provided with their own ‘Dog Pack’ which includes their own dog bed, bowls, crate and lead.

safari tent glamping kent

We were invited to stay at Gravel Pit Farm at the time of re-opening post lockdown. The adaptations Annabel and Simon have made are obviously there to make both guests and hosts feel safe during their stay, and in all honesty once we were on site we barely noticed the changes. So what has been put in place?

  • Bookings need to be made as a family or bubble group.
  • Adhere to social distancing rules around the hosts and guests outside of your party whilst on site.
  • There is an antibac station at the site entrance. Guests are asked to clean their hands on re-entering the tents.
  • At the end of the stay guests are asked to strip beds and places linen and towels directly into a laundry tub to save cleaning staff from unnecessary exposure.

safari tent glamping kent

We loved our time at Gravel Pit Farm. The accommodation is up there with the best with clear attention to comfort and functional practicalities. The cupboard snug was an absolute highlight for us – it meant that the children felt like this place had been designed for them! They were in their element both indoors and out relishing in the freedom of the wide open spaces and cosy hidey-holes. As adults our stay was about as stress free and easy as it gets. The kitchen and wash facilities meant that nothing was a chore – the kitchen comes fully equipped meaning that if camping style cooking seems a bit much every night there’s a straight forward alternative. To top it off Annabel and Simon are incredibly welcoming and accommodating as hosts. It really makes a difference when you are greeted with open arms and made to feel more like family friends that guests – that’s how we felt at Gravel Pit Farm.

A huge thank you to Annabel and Simon for inviting us the experience a stay at Gravel Pit Farm in exchange for this review. All thoughts and opinions are our own. If you’d like to find out more about Gravel Pit Farm please visit their website here .

Safari tent holidays in the UK guide

Safari tent glamping sites in the uk, france and europe.

Bringing that out-of-Africa touch to foreign soils, safari tents are the perfect glamping set up for big family trips. Of all the glamping offerings it's usually safari tents that boast the most space, with room for several beds, huge living areas and wide verandas out front. Of course, there are plenty of safari tent glamping options out there, so we've been hand picking the best of the bunch and here you'll find our guide to the top glamping sites with safari tents in the UK, France and Europe. So now is the time to get outdoors and go on safari, even if you won't necessarily be seeing the animals!

What is a Safari Tent?

As the name suggests safari tents have their roots in, well, safari holidays! They have been used in Africa and across Asia for centuries and are well suited to hotter climates, offering light, airy canvas shelter that allow the breeze to pass through and keep things as cool as possible. On many safari tents you can roll back large areas of the canvas to open the place up to the elements, quite literally creating a room without any walls. They are also associated with the style of military tents and medical tents, owing to their long, wide, characteristic shape and large amount of interior space. Both in this military and medical use, as well as on safaris, one of the key features is the fact that the tents are easy to erect quickly, yet provide sturdy, solid structures and ample space. When it comes to glamping, the appeal is much the same (though the length of time the tent takes to put up is irrelevant since this is glamping... all that hard work is done for you!). It's easy to see why safari tents are popular: the beautiful, natural look of the wooden frame and taught canvas tent makes it the perfect choice for natural settings, but they are also extremely durable. It's the amount of space that safari tents afford, however, that is the real clincher. Inside, separate canvas curtains can divide the tent up into individual rooms, making them ideal for dividing living, cooking and sleeping quarters, while families love the fact that children can be put to bed early in a separate room. Throw in some luxury furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen, perhaps a hot-tub, towels and bathrobes and you've got yourself some seriously luxurious living!

Why Go Safari Tent Glamping?

As with all glamping, one of the great benefits is the fact that you don't have to buy or transport your own tent or camping equipment. But that's true of pods and yurts too. So what sets safari tents apart? Well, for families, safari tents are a pretty perfect glamping structure. Generally, safari tents offer far more space then almost every other type of glamping accommodation and interior canvas partitions allow them to be divided into separate rooms. This means you can put the kids away at 10pm but stay out in your living area for another couple of hours, chatting quietly and enjoying the stars. Many safari tents will also have a covered veranda or balcony area as well – perfect for a barbecue – while the most up-market tents may even have an en-suite bathroom attached to the back of the tent. In short, safari tents stand out as a large summery space, ideal for big groups and families. They're cool, spacious and luxurious. We love 'em!

Five Reasons We Love Safari Tents

  • Loads of space for families
  • Cool and airy, particularly when glamping on a hot summer's day
  • Individual rooms provides extra privacy
  • Per person accommodated, it's excellent value for money
  • The luxuries of glamping but still that under-canvas camping feel

Safari Tent Glamping in France and Europe

Glamping has grown hugely in popularity in recent years and glamping in France, in particular, has really taken off. If you're planning a trip to Europe then you've come to the right place. Here at Hipcamp we're always keeping on top of the latest camping and glamping trends are are constantly adding to our online collection of the greatest places to stay. Safari tents lend themselves perfectly to continental glamping, too, since they offer such a breezy, cool interior in the hotter climes of the south. There are plenty of safari tent glamping sites in France and a growing number in Spain, Italy and Portugal too. So, if your chasing the sun, make sure you check out our safari tent recommendations here on the Hipcamp website first.

We go glamping in safari tents because...

they're spacious and ideal for groups and families, with different rooms and individual areas. In colder climes you can zip up your bedroom and cosy away in a bunk, while in summer you can fold back the canvas doors, sit out on the veranda and soak up the sun with a barbecue or family picnic. Space is never an issue and, since you're still kipping under canvas and have instant access to the great outdoors, safari tents still offer those essential elements of the camping experience that make you want to go on holiday in the first place. Glamping Pods with Hot Tubs - What's it all About?

Glamping holiday accommodation is a combination of glamorous and camping, and mostly that's what it is in a nutshell. It's the new trend of luxury camping that involves staying in facilities that are a bit more luxurious than the standard tent set up. Typically, when you look at a glamping hot tub property, this will be a self-contained unit with all the modern fixtures and fittings you'd expect. The good thing about a glamping site is that there is such diversity of where you can go. These range from safari tents, eco-pods to renovated shepherds huts, to VW campervans and even a restored and furnished double-decker London bus. Pods and yurts offer the perfect way to spend a break with friends, family or a loved one. Coming in all shapes and sizes, the outside of these pods and luxury yurts with hot tubs may look simplistic, but the interiors are a far cry away from traditional camping.

Each yurt or safari tents have their own character, luxury glamping facilities and quirkiness.

Choose By Location

Cheshire glamping.

A somewhat neglected corner of England, it sits at the crossroads of many different places. Parts of the ancient county have been carved off to contribute to Merseyside and Greater Manchester, while the historic city of Chester now sits in its own Unitary Authority.

There are plenty of adults glamping opportunities across the border into Wales and also around the Peak District. Glamping sites are relatively new to the market but very popular amongst couples.

Cornwall Glamping

A top UK tourist destination for glamping with hot tubs and Cornish glamping is playing a more and more important part of that visitor experience.

As a county with both spectacular countryside and coastlines, choosing to glamp is a perfectly reasonable option for a family with a child wanting to spend time in a cabin.

Devon Glamping

Anyone thinking of Devon glamping will be spoiled for choice. With up to nine National Parks, the county is awash with glampsites that have all the weird and wonderful bell tents and safari tent choices, most with tubs.

Essex Glamping

This East England county is associated with many things, but glamping not so much. With its connections to the East End of London and its portrayal in the media, this county possibly suffers due to its popular culture profile

Kent Glamping

The county is in south-east England and is often seen as something of a go through location rather than stay. Situated in between Dover and London, it's often overlooked as a glamping destination in its own right.

However, there is a place and holiday type for all families and this slice of heaven offers great seaside towns, vast wildlife, beautiful gardens and has everything you need for a child to play and stay entertained for days.

Lake District Glamping

As the UK’s largest national park, the Lake District is a family-friendly glamping destination with something for everyone to enjoy. At the top of our list is a boat cruise across the majestic Windermere Lake, strolling around Cumbria’s quaint towns and villages, and climbing up the iconic 964 metre-tall Scafell Pike. There are adventures to be had around every corner so you’ll never be short of things to do!

New Forest Glamping

Despite its name, this is one of the oldest unspoiled wooded locations in England. It was new to William the Conqueror , who proclaimed it royal for his purposes and included it in the Domesday Book.

Northern Ireland Glamping

Escape to the rugged landscapes of Northern Ireland for your next getaway. Choose a treehouse holidays in the UK with a hot tub. Its peaceful valleys, unspoiled coastline and enchanting woodlands make it the perfect destination for outdoorsy types. But of course, there are also plenty of award-winning attractions and traditional Irish pubs to tick off your bucket list too!

Northumberland Glamping

The historic county, in the far northeast corner of England, has some spectacular sites for glamping and is consequently one of the country's most popular glamping places and destinations for a glamping holiday with landmarks such as Bamburgh Castle & Hadrian's Wall on your doorstep. Known for the outdoors, a luxury holiday break here usually consists of bike rides and walks with the children. Whether your in large groups, a small family with a child or simply a couple, this county caters for all guests.

Peak District Glamping

Planning your next adventure? How about a glamping holiday in the Peak District? Situated in central England, this glorious national park is brimming with natural beauty and fascinating history, making it the perfect spot for nature and culture lovers alike. Spend your days exploring endless local trails by foot or bike and your evenings relaxing in your very own woodfired hot tub. What’s more, you’ll find some of the best glamping in Derbyshire here, meaning you’ll be spoilt for choice with places to stay.

Scotland Glamping

Slink away on a glamping holiday to Scotland and be rewarded with dramatic landscapes, deep-rooted history and fascinating wildlife. Our glamping pods are located in some of the most spectacular spots, where you can spend the night stargazing from your hot tub. Or head to Scotland’s coast and try your hand at some watersports.

Wales Glamping

Mid Wales and North Wales especially have hundreds of glamping site choices. An exciting part of the British Isles, North Wales has a large number of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and National Parks.

Mid Wales is especially popular for these types of glamping breaks as you have the Brecon Beacons National Park just south with a lot of pods. Mid Wales also has a vast selection of walks available on your doorstep.

Yorkshire Glamping

A popular destination for North Yorkshire campsites and North Yorkshire glamping, for several reasons. Representing about a tenth of England and with unlimited things to do and ways to spend the quality time it's no wonder new glampsites are popping across York.

If you're after a National Park, then you're in luck with some on your doorstep. A hot tub holiday in this part of the world is ideal for families with a child as there are plenty of places to visit with dogs along the coastline and countryside.

Adults Only Luxury Glamping

Recently breaks for adults only has become more and more popular as couples & adults often want to relax without any children running around or some parents need a peaceful weekend away to themselves. Many of the glamping accommodation comes with private tubs that are exclusive to adults only as there is often little to do for children to keep them entertained. Unlike holiday parks, there isn't a host of activities or entertainment at these pods. Depending on your location and if you have a vehicle, adults will often be able to visit local attractions and then retreat beak in the evening to your hot tub and glass of bubbly.

Another thing to consider for adults is that safari tents will be slightly higher in price due to their luxury and larger size in comparison to camping pods which may only sleep two. They may not have a swimming pool but with private tubs and panoramic countryside views, they do offer a tranquil stay. If you are after certain types of glamping bell tents, say dog friendly, with sea views, based in the hills, or perhaps something extravagant like looking over Snowdonia mountains, be sure to enquire about the hideaway before you book.

If you have a child and would like to enquire about safari lodges for that ideal family adventure, just ring before you book to see if they are allowed.

These types of traditional glamping Yurt domes are made using a variety of angled wood to create the walls, door and ribs.

They are especially popular among families with children as they are large and often located on a farm with plenty of countryside views to enjoy from your private hot tub.

This is the original way to go glamping with hot tubs!

A cabin is often a luxurious glamping stay located on campsites, a farm or holiday park with room for 2-4 people normally.

Depending on the cabins, place or area you’re staying at, internet access and countryside walks are usually available from your glamping cabin.

One of the more unusual glamping options, a treehouse with a hot tub is usually part of a collection and can sleep, large groups.

They are excellent if you want to view the stars at night and experience something unique when glamping with hot tubs.

Shepherds Hut

Often reserved for a romantic escape, these glamping huts are mainly located in rural surroundings either on a farm or campsites.

Most people picture these cosy huts when they think of glamping as they are often in an area off the beaten track but still provide a great degree of comfort.

A shepherds hut is also one of the more expensive choices out of all the camping and glamping properties, but equally one of the cosiest ways to enjoy hot tub glamping.

Safaris Tents

Safari tents are exclusive self-catering glamping properties, ideal for groups or families of more than five.

Their large size gives ample room for a glamping retreat and you can usually find them on campsites, holiday parks and sometimes even a farm.

A bell tent is a simple structure supported by one central pole and covered with cotton canvas, very similar to domes.

They are also similar to glamping Yurts but a bell tent is often smaller and more compact.

The areas they are typically found in are glamping campsites, a farm or private, making for an ideal hot tub glamping holiday.

Gypsy Caravan

Unlike anything else, a gypsy caravan has become a firm favourite among glamping enthusiasts. Due to their unusual nature, they are great for couples who want a peaceful glamping escape. Like most of our glamping properties, these can be found on a farm, campsites and park resorts.

Teepee / Wigwam

Teepees and wigwams offer another unique take on glamping with hot tubs. These accommodations combine modern comfort with a touch of history, ensuring cosy and memorable stays in picturesque rural settings. Whether for couples or larger groups, they provide a distinctive and inviting experience in the heart of the countryside.

If you've always fancied the idea of something different then glamping sites with safari tents or staying in bell tents might be for you. It provides the secluded raw experience of camping but offers luxury like private tubs. You'll also be treated to some spectacular views from the comfort of your very own living room as opposed to in a tent.

These types of luxury glamping stays are most popular among adults and parents. Other types of accommodation, check out cabins, treehouses, tipis & camping pitches. It's important to get bookings in early as availability is limited on these properties, especially large groups.

This Texas Glamping Property Near Austin Has Safari Tents With Wrap-around Decks and Is Next to a State Park

Outdoorsy Hill Country is tucked in the rolling Texas hills near the state's iconic wine trail.

If you need another reason to visit the Texas Hill Country , consider this: the rolling landscape is now home to a luxury glamping retreat with safari tents surrounded by wrap-around decks and a spring-fed lake. The new property, Outdoorsy Hill Country , is both the latest addition to the Texas Hill Country and the newest property in the Outdoorsy portfolio, an RV rental marketplace that is making a name for itself for its glamping-style retreats.

Outdoorsy Hill Country is nestled in Stonewall, Texas, between Austin and Fredericksburg on 32 acres. The property is expansive, with a spring-fed lake, walking trails, and a grove of live oaks. The day starts and ends with one of Texas’ spectacular sunrises and sunsets — best viewed from the wrap-around deck enveloping each of the property’s 22 safari tents.

“Our vision was to create an iconic destination that fuses rustic charm, immersive outdoor experiences, and refined Hill Country hospitality for thoughtful travelers from Texas and beyond,” Jeff Cavins, Outdoorsy's CEO, said in a press release shared with Travel + Leisure .

Jen Young, the co-founder and CMO of Outdoorsy, added, "We fell in love with Hill Country when we built a glamping tent for ourselves … we couldn't be more delighted to share this space with guests who are seeking out the restoration that time in nature provides.”

While nature may be the focus of a stay at Outdoorsy Hill Country, the highlight is the lodging. Each all-season glamping tent is surrounded by a panoramic deck and private fire pit.

Inside, there’s a king-size bed and a twin and trundle bed to sleep two to four people and full temperature control, with both heat and air-conditioning on tap. Rounding out the offerings are a fully equipped kitchenette and a private ensuite bathroom with a rainshower and plush robes.

Beyond the privacy of your secluded hideaway, you’ll find a handful of on-property offerings, including a cafe and bar with outdoor seating overlooking the neighboring Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and a menu that features juices, smoothies, and grab-and-go breakfast options in the morning and craft cocktails and local wines at night.

The live oaks provide shelter for the outdoor live music venue, while the country store sells everything you need to grill or assemble an afternoon picnic.

Further afield, guests can explore the Texas Wine Trail , which is on the doorstep of Outdoorsy Hill Country. (Plus, the Crown Hill Winery is right next door). In the neighboring towns of Luckenbach and Albert, there are historic dance halls, while the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park is just across the road.

Outdoorsy Hill Country is now taking reservations for stays starting March 21. The property’s first round of guests will be treated to views of the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8.
