Today, multi-platinum pop rock band LANY announces the North America leg of their a beautiful blur World Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the 30+ dates kicks off at Raleigh’s The Ritz on February 13 and continues through the U.S. and Canada this March and April 2024. Fans can register for Artist Presale HERE via Seated. The Seated Registered Artist presale begins Tuesday October 10th at 10am through Thursday October 12th at 10pm local. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale starting Friday October 13th at 12pm local.

LANY is continuing their critically acclaimed A Beautiful Blur World Tour . Today (October 4), the band announced the North American leg of the tour, which is set to kick off early next year.

The tour comes in support of the band’s fifth studio album, A Beautiful Blur , and LANY is scheduled to play various venues throughout the US and Canada. Fans can register for a pre-sale via Seated , and will be able to purchase tickets beginning Tuesday, October 10. General on-sale begins Friday, October 13.

From L.A. to N.Y., LANY has flown to global fame as one of pop music's freshest acts. Embarking on the 'Summer Forever Tour', LANY is set to bring their best hits and fan favorites to the stage at PNE Amphitheatre on Thursday, 22nd of September 2022. Formed in 2014, LANY took its shot by anonymously uploading two songs namely "Hot Lights" and "Walk Away" to SoundCloud using an account with zero followers. After the release of their first two singles, record labels started sending e-mails, Klein saying they still don't know how they found their songs.

As an acronym for Los Angeles and New York, Paul Klein, in an interview with Teen Vogue explained:

"We knew we wanted a four-letter word because of design and aesthetic purposes, but as you can imagine, all the four-letter words in the entire world are taken. We moved to acronyms and for a while we thought we would be TTYL, but then we decided we didn’t want to be 13 for the rest of our lives. I eventually thought of the span across the country from L.A. to New York, and at first I was thinking it would be L-A-N-Y, but people kept getting confused on how to pronounce it when I told them, saying things like ’L-A-and-Y?’ So then we’re like forget it—let’s call ourselves LANY, pronounced Lay-Nee."

The world soon found out the voices behind 'Lay-Nee' when the dropped their singles "Made in Hollywood" and "Bad, Bad, Bad" revealing their identities as LANY. "ILYSB" sparked interest online which marked the start of LANY's domination in the pop scene.

From then on, LANY started reaching new heights, touring with Halsey, Troye Sivan, Twin Shadow, John Mayer, and so on, plus playing on festivals such as Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. Having released their debut album "LANY" in 2017, the band found themselves growing a global audience. Bandwagon Asia touted them as the band "primed to reshape pop music's zeitgeist".

What sets LANY apart is their sound – music that takes listeners on a dreamy-pop landscape. "I think what we love the most about our band is that we don’t sound like anyone else," said Paul Klein. "I think the magic of LANY just happened by the three of us bringing our influences and experiences to the table and together we just formed our sound."

To date, LANY has four studio records namely "LANY", "Malibu Nights", "Mama's Boy", and "gg bb xx", all producing fan-favorite hits such as "ILYSB", "Super Far", "Thick and Thin", "Malibu Nights", "Good Guys", "Dancing in the Kitchen", "Cowboy in LA", and many more.

I was introduced to LANY a year ago by a friend, and have since spiraled into a hurricane of obsession. This was my first time seeing them live, and, needless to say, it was spiritually moving and life-giving. I could tell the whole crowd has been with them from the start, and have been waiting to see LANY take off. We all knew that they have come so far, but that this is just the beginning. They performed all their songs with so much heart, which gave me a new perspective on most of their lyrics. Despite their recent success, they are still the most genuine, humble, and appreciative bands I have ever seen. When Paul talked about their beginnings in a crappy apartment down the street, I could feel the gratitude and excitement in his voice. In order to pay tribute to the city where LANY started, they performed a stripped-down set of ILYSB, and filmed an accompanying music video. It was full of emotion and allowed me to truly live in the moment, no matter how cheesy it sounds. Afterwards, all band members stayed to take pictures with fans, and were so nice and down-to-earth. I cannot wait to see where LANY goes and cannot wait for the release of their first full-length album. ILYSB!!

LANY WAS AMAZING! The stage/lighting set-up was bomb and was so cool! It changes every song that makes it really appropriate to the mood of the song. The concert was lovely and I loved and enjoyed Lany!

However, I would really comment on the lack of control of the organizers especially during the gates opening & managing all the audience/concert-goers. The venue is located on the 3rd floor of the building and everybody are poorly lining up in the stairs! It would have been better to have marshals/volunteers manage the audience during this time to avoid confusion and a probable accident. A better line management with volunteers assisting people would be really better. Due to the poor management before entering it caused way too much delay for Lany to start performing I know it made it fair for everybody who wants to see them but surely it would have been improved if the entering was managed properly. I hope in the future it will be improved!

BUT OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT!! I LOVE LANY!!!

Their show in Albuquerque was fantastic! Although part of me wished I was closer to the stage, I was content in the 21+ area enjoying dancing and singing along to every song with my Corona! I really enjoyed the historic venue the Sunshine Theater too! Their staff was great and really sweet. Paul Jason Klein, Jake Goss and Les Priest are the most magical "synth-pop" trio I have ever witnessed. Pure magic... Paul stands out as genuinely loving his fans and giving his all in such a sweet and energetic way. Jake is a beast on the drums and steadily goes the whole show with so much passion and skill! And Les... A pure engineering genius with a humility and kind presence you don't find often, I am in awe of his craft. These guys are so loveable and make anyone watching feel a "teenage dreamy wonder" we long for. Hands down, my fav trio ever!!

I had about an hour and a half drive to San Antonio, and arrived at the Paper Tiger venue around 2:30. I camped out with a friend until the show started at 7:30pm; the paper tiger venue is very neat, clean, and new. Although the organization of the lines weren't too great; many people cut in line/came 10 min before the show and cut where their friends were--and nobody really did anything about it. It was just a little unfair to the people who waited for hours and hours. Anyways, the concert was AMAZING; I ended up getting 2nd row and I touched Paul's hand. Many great videos and although a lot of shoving and pushing and squeezing, it was worth it. LANY is definitely great live, sounded exactly like the music they put out. Amazing!!

i love these boys so much i didnt mind waiting in line for 5 hours or so to see them. organisers said the show will be from 8-10pm, but it started 8:30 then ended 9:40. i felt cheated but it's okay because Paul, Jake and Les did deliver. They poured their hearts out and they were gorgeous as fuck. I only wish they'd write more music music i really love the tropical, summer-y aesthetic their music has. Like a summer love gone wrong. I love how upbeat some of their songs are (example: Hurt) but the lyrics are so sad. Their music is a metaphor and the deepest one at it. Thank your being on my playlist, thank you for letting yourselves be discovered by fans like us. And thank you for you. Love from Iloilo, Philippines. <3 <3 <3

Wow, this concert was incredible. Despite taking place on a Sunday night, it was definitely worth the time, and a great birthday present for me!

LANY's music is so refreshing, and seeing it live just allowed it to wash over me in a new and exciting way. The mix of their set was top notch, peppering the higher energy dance songs with more mellow interludes. They did a good job featuring their new album while still giving attention to their big hits.

I took my friend who had minimal exposure to their stuff and she absolutely loved it. Was great sharing the experience with someone who will now probably be a lifelong LANY fan.

In conclusion, absolutely loved it, and can't wait for a chance to see them again!

Seeing LANY for the second time.....NEVER a disappointment. I’ve been following up on them since 2014, when I would jam out to one or two of their songs because those were the only they had out at the time haha. As they began to grow, so did I and all of a sudden the lyrics began to mean a lot to me, because they were now more relatable. LANY got me through a break up, and got me through a whole year of hardship. LANY also gave into the relationship I am in right now, with someone who shares the same type of love for LANY that I do. It’s crazy to think about the music generation our parents had, and to think about our kids one day thinking the same about ours. LANY, i love you so bad! ~ Jerrelyn Navarette

The concert was amazing! but I was surprised to see so much empty space in the room when event was 'sold out'. So many fans (even an hour before the concert) desperately wanted tickets and posted on social media and the hall was like almost half empty (according to my standards). Singapore venue organisers definitely need to review the venue's capacity and number of tickets sold as it just didn't make sense. I was hunting for tickets for more than 2 weeks and was lucky to get it for double price from a reseller. I know that there are sooo many LANY fans in Singapore but they just were not given a chance to attend!

LANY WAS AWESOME!!! They really know how to put on a show but please find someone better for opening act, its always so boring for the opening act and I heard its not the first time they had boring opening acts.. n its not even the band that was mentioned on the ticket. Other than that, the venue is amazing, staffs are amazing at coordinating the event, mad props to them as it wouldn’t run smoothly if it were not for them. The security are all polite and knows how to keep the spirits up while we were queueing. Amazing coordination of the team and all. The set up of the stage is amazing. And audio is good too.

What a great show LANY put on. Saw them at the Wiltern and the place was packed. I've been to see some other bands there, but this was the first time I can recall the crowd standing the entire time. Jake, the lead singer, brings high, eccentric energy to the stage. Some cool solo piano moments in the middle is the show put a new spin on some of my favorite tracks. A younger fan base, which was surprising, but they knew every word. It was a great vibe all around. Took two friends who were unfamiliar with LANY and they both had a great time moving to the music. I'd see them again.

Los Angeles-based LANY have announced that they will be hitting the road with special guest Surfaces for their Summer Forever Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the 34-city tour kicks off on August 3 at The Chrysalis at Merriweather Park in Columbia making stops across North America in Toronto, Detroit, Houston, San Diego, and more before wrapping up in Seattle at Lumen Field – Muckleshoot Plaza on September 24.

Nominated for Pollstars 2021 “Best Pop Tour,” LANY’s global fan base continues to expand, with over 3.5 billion in streaming, 750 million in video views, and 500,000 in worldwide tickets sales. This latest announcement continues LANY’s forward momentum following their highly successful gg bb xx fall 2021 tour, which included sold out Forum and Radio City dates and the release of their successful, pop focused album, gg bb xx in September 2021.

This latest announcement also comes off the heels of Surfaces’ Good 2 Be Back summer 2021 tour which coincided with their Pacifico album released last June. Tickets go on sale starting Friday April 15 at 10am local time via Ticketmaster.

The National Ballet of Canada Tours to London and Paris in October 2024

First european appearance since the pandemic.

TORONTO, ON, September 26, 2024 – Hope Muir , Joan and Jerry Lozinski Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, shared today that the company will return to Europe this October for the first time since the pandemic. Previously announced with the 2024/25 season, the back-to-back tours will bring the company to the revered Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London and the legendary Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. Muir has curated an all-Canadian programme featuring works by acclaimed choreographers Crystal Pite , James Kudelka , Emma Portner and William Yong .    

“I am thrilled that the National Ballet will return to London and Paris this October with this compelling programme, which not only highlights the breadth of choreographic talent in Canada but also serves as the perfect vehicle to showcase the versatility of our artists,” said Muir.  

London Tour, Sadler’s Wells  October 2 – 6

In the National Ballet’s first appearance in London at Sadler’s Wells since 2013, the company will perform Pite’s sublime work Angels’ Atlas , hailed as “mind-blowing” (CP24) with its mesmerizing light design and evocation of the human condition, alongside Kudelka’s exquisite Passion and Portner’s duet islands .   

Paris Tour, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées October 12 – 15  

In addition to Angels’ Atlas and Passion , the National Ballet will bring William Yong ’s UtopiVerse to the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. The futuristic ballet made its world premiere in Toronto in June. This will mark the company’s first appearance in Paris since 2017.   

Crystal Pite created  Angels’ Atlas   for the National Ballet in 2020 to rapturous reviews. Audiences and critics were blown away by the moving and visually stunning work. Unfolding against a morphing wall of light, the Globe and Mail called Angels’ Atlas   “a glimpse into the infinite” and the Toronto Star added “human yearning is evoked powerfully onstage”. Set to original music by Owen Belton and choral pieces by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Morten Lauridsen ,  Angels’ Atlas   is a profound work from one of the world’s leading contemporary choreographers.  

Celebrated Canadian choreographer James Kudelka explores relationships of love in Passion . Two couples, each stylistically unique – one classical, the other contemporary – weave within the Corps de Ballet, evoking complex relationships of passion. A love story whose meticulous structure mirrors the music, Passion is set to the first movement of Ludwig van Beethoven ’s Concerto for Piano in D, Op. 61a .  

A sculptural duet for two women, Emma Porter ’s islands was hailed a triumph both at its world premiere by Norwegian National Ballet in 2020 and its North American premiere at the National Ballet in 2023. An acclaimed work from a genre-breaking choreographer, islands is set to an eclectic compilation of music by contemporary artists as well as original music by Forest Swords , bringing together hip hop, dub, guitar loops and electronic sampling for a rhythmic, avant-garde sound.  

Toronto-based choreographer William Yong ’s first commission for The National Ballet of Canada, UtopiVerse , showcases the versatility of the National Ballet artists, integrating Yong’s multi-disciplinary experience in this futuristic ballet. UtopiVerse received its world premiere in March 2024 and was hailed “a fascinating fusion of movement and visual spectacle” (Critics at Large).

Exclusive: These are the international cities Oasis will be playing on their 2025 reunion tour

NME can exclusively reveal the cities that Oasis will be playing on their upcoming 2025 reunion tour.

The Britpop heroes first announced their long-awaited reunion last month , with a long string of gigs in the UK and Ireland. They stated that these would be their only shows in Europe, but vowed that – while they will not be playing any festivals next year – other headline dates around the world were planned .

Now, with the announcement believed to be in the coming week or so, sources close to the tour have revealed to NME the locations that the Live ’25 tour will supposedly visit next year – with Liam and Noel Gallagher heading to the US, South America, Asia and Australia. Check out the list here:

The initial run of dates sparked controversy after fans experienced long queues and technical difficulties in the scramble for tickets , along with a large number of tickets being presented and sold to them at inflated prices due to “dynamic” surge pricing . In response, Oasis provided “a small step towards making amends for the situation” and announced two extra Wembley Stadium dates that were sold in staggered batches via invite-only ballot. They also said that they themselves “at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used” .

“It needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used,” they said in a statement.

“While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band’s management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations. All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve.”

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has since launched an investigation into the practice of dynamic pricing .

Speculation also surrounds who’ll be in the reunited Oasis line-up alongside Liam and Noel Gallagher , with original guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs reportedly coming along for the tour dates, with other rumoured members including guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell. Drummer Alan White also sparked rumours on his social media, but NME is led to believe he will not be part of the line-up. Liam has since teased that the line-up could feature “a few new faces “.

As well as speculating over who’ll be joining Liam and Noel on stage at the huge gigs , fans have been discussing potential support acts – with the likes of Blossoms , Kasabian and Richard Ashcroft among those being mentioned. Earlier this month, it was reported that Liam was seeking “established acts” to open for Oasis in 2025, but it currently looks unlikely to be Suede or Fontaines D.C. with the frontman hitting out at both bands online.

Liam and Noel have not performed together since Oasis’ acrimonious split in 2009 , following an “altercation” between the pair at Paris’ Rock en Seine festival, just hours before their headline appearance.

Following on from his victorious Reading 2024 headline set , last weekend saw Liam perform Oasis classics ahead of the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois boxing match at Wembley Stadium, before hitting out at “SHITC**T” critics who complained online about the sound his vocals . He then bid farewell to his band as he played his last scheduled solo show in Malta.
