Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews Band is returning this year with a new album and a full summer tour in support. The veteran, record-setting rock band announced on Tuesday (Jan. 24) that Walk Around the Moon , their 10th studio album, is set to drop May 19 via RCA Records.

Nicki Minaj

Looking Ahead: A Release Calendar of Upcoming Albums in 2023

Spanning 12 original tracks, Walk Around the Moon was formed during the pandemic and “is as much a reflection on the current times as it is an urge to find common ground,” reads a statement from the band.

Trending on Billboard

Producer Rob Evans worked on “Madman’s Eyes,” which DMB road-tested at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, back in November 2021.

The fresh cut blends Middle Eastern vibes with horns and strings, and sees Matthews pose the question, “When it’s too late to untwist the knife/ How do we face hatred with the love inside us.”

Longtime collaborator John Alagia served as executive producer of Walk Around the Moon , with Evans working on most of its tracks. A limited-edition deluxe vinyl option is available exclusively at the official DMB website .

With the new collection comes a major North American jaunt. Following three dates in Mexico, DMB will kick off its U.S. run at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas, on May 19. As the calendar currently stands, the trek is scheduled to wrap Sept. 3 with the last in a three-night stand at Gorge Amphitheatre, in George, Wash.

Walk Around the Moon is the follow-up to Come Tomorrow from 2018, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 , the band’s seventh consecutive leader, a hot streak that dates back to 1998’s Before These Crowded Streets. DMB is the only group to see seven straight studio albums bow at No. 1 on the U.S. tally.

Formed in Charlottesville, Va., in 1991, DMB has more than 25 million career ticket sales and upwards of 38 million combined CD and DVD sales, according to reps.

Though, despite winning the fan vote by a wide margin in 2020, DMB has yet to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Tickets for the DMB summer tour will be available to the general public beginning Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. local time.

Visit davematthewsband.com for more information, or check the DMB Warehouse Fan Association for presales.

Dave Matthews Band Detail Summer Tour 2023, Unveil New LP ‘Walk Around The Moon’

Dave Matthews Band Detail Summer Tour 2023, Unveil New LP ‘Walk Around The Moon’

Today, Dave Matthews Band shared they’ll set out on a tour of the United States this summer while announcing their 10th studio album, Walk Around The Moon , set to drop on the same day their tour kicks off on May 19. Along with the album and tour announcement, Dave Mathews Band dished out the first taste of the 12-track project, which was shaped during the COVID-19 pandemic and reflects upon the times while encouraging listeners to find common ground, “Madman’s Eyes.”

Like the rest of Walk Around The Moon , “Madman’s Eyes” was recorded by producer Rob Evans and executive produced by longtime Dave Matthews Band collaborator John Alagia. The song sees the band entwine Middle Eastern inclinations with glided horns and strings, which the ensemble are so widely renowned for. On the track–which debuted at Nationwide Arena in Columbus in November of 2022–Dave Matthews sings, asking, “When it’s too late to untwist the knife / How do we face hatred with the love inside us.”

Dave Matthews Band’s summer tour will kick off after a trio of dates in Mexico at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas, on May 19. From there, the ensemble will make stops across the country performing for two nights in Wilmington, N.C.; Charleston, S.C.; Noblesville, Ind.; Chicago; Gilford, N.H.; Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; Camden, N.J.; West Palm Beach, Fla., and Irvine, Calif. Other notable cities include Nashville, Tenn., Bend, Ore., Columbia, Md., Hartford, Conn., Dallas, Cincinnati, and Forest Hills, N.Y., where the band will play their first show at the historic Forest Hills Stadium in New York on June 9. Dave Matthews Band will conclude their travels with a three-day Labor Day weekend stint at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., in what has become a tradition on Sept. 1-3.

An online ticket presale for members of the Dave Matthews Band Warehouse Fan Association is currently underway and can be accessed here . Citi is the official card of the 2023 tour, and card members will have access to presale tickets starting Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m., through Thursday, Feb. 16 at 10 p.m. local time. Learn more about those tickets here . General on-sale tickets will go on sale on Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. local time. Learn more and find tickets here .

Oasis Announce Invite-Only Wembley Stadium Reunion Concerts After Chaotic Ticket Sale

By Larisha Paul

Larisha Paul

Congratulations U.K. people, Oasis are giving you a second chance to win the Ticketmaster war after losing the chaotic battle for tickets when the band’s U.K. reunion shows went on sale last week. Liam and Noel Gallagher have extended the Live ’25 tour to include two additional dates at London’s Wembley Stadium in September 2025. Tickets for the concerts will be sold in batches to selected applicants.

“Two extra Wembley Stadium shows have been added due to phenomenal demand,” Oasis shared in a statement . “Tickets will be sold by a staggered, invitation-only ballot process. Applications to join the ballot will be opened first to the many UK fans who were unsuccessful in the initial on sale with Ticketmaster. More details to follow.”

The two shows are scheduled for Sept. 27 and 28, bringing the band’s total Wembley Stadium concert count for the tour to seven. The tour will begin on July 4 in Cardiff and will make stops in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.

The Guess Who End Decades-Long Legal Battle: 'An Impossible Task'

14-year-old boy identified as georgia school shooting suspect, neil young and stephen stills to headline 'harvest moon' charity concert, goldman sachs says trump win would lead to economic downturn .

Fans also criticized both Oasis and Ticketmaster for opting into dynamic platinum pricing, which increases ticket prices during on-sale based on demand. These complaints arrived on top of criticisms of the ticket giant’s generally poor user interface. A number of fans reported that after they finally made it through the tedious queue to buy tickets online, the site accused them of being bots and kicked them out of the line.

According to a press release, these are the only shows Oasis will perform in Europe in 2025. The band reportedly has plans to perform outside of the continent later that year, though no international dates have been announced as of yet.

Tunde Adebimpe from TV On The Radio

TV On The Radio have unveiled details of a reunion tour this November and December – check out all the dates below.

  • READ MORE: TV On The Radio – ‘Seeds’

Last week, the band joined Oasis , Linkin Park and Sum 41 in sharing a cryptic teaser of a potential announcement.

Fans spent the week speculating that the band could be making a highly-awaited comeback, after they wiped all the posts on their Instagram account, before re-sharing a singular image.

Now they’ve proven to be correct, as the band have announced a November tour in New York, London and Los Angeles. Fans can sign up to a link here for a presale for the NYC and LA dates. NY, LA & London presale starts on September 10th at 12pm local time, as per their Instagram announcement.

The band are also reissuing their debut album, ‘Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes’, on November 15 for its 20th anniversary. David Andrew Sitek is unable to play the live shows but remains in the band, a representative told Pitchfork .

The reissue will see five tracks added, including ‘Final Fantasy,’ an early demo that then evolved into ‘Bomb Yourself’, which you can listen to below.

You can check out the full list of dates here too and get tickets for the US shows here and the UK ones here .

The first post the band shared on Instagram since wiping their social clean simply read: ‘TV ON THE RADIO’. The band also shared a link on their story that leads to an official website encouraging fans to enter their email address to “sign up”. You can check it out here .

Fans in the comment section started speculating about a reunion almost immediately after the post went live. “Are we back? Are there new things to come, because I have worn out all the previous albums to death! Whatever is coming, I’m in, guys!” one fan wrote. Another said: “It’s like seeing the Bat Signal after years of silence,” while another added: “who cares about Oasis now” in reference to the Manchester band’s recently announced reunion .

The band haven’t released an album since 2014’s ‘ Seeds ‘, but frontman Tunde Adebimpe has delved into acting in the meantime. They also haven’t played live together since 2019.

Adebimpe recently played a supporting role in Twisters , starring Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones . In an interview promoting the film earlier this summer, he hinted that new music is on the way.

“I can say that I just wrapped up my own record. And that will be out … in the future,” he told Stereogum . “And you … I can say … you might have an opportunity to buy a ticket to something related to that, or something related to TV On The Radio … in a while.

NME gave ‘Seeds’ a four-star review at the time of its release, writing: “These songs conjure the same excitement as the seditious ‘Wolf Like Me’ did in 2006. TV On The Radio have returned from an uncertain period sounding remarkably fresh.”

Aerosmith Announces 2023 Farwell Tour With Date at United Center in Chicago

The 20-date tour kicks off in september, by nbc 5 staff and wire reports • published may 1, 2023 • updated on may 1, 2023 at 11:32 am.

From a mysterious countdown clock, to a video of the iconic opening to "Walk This Way" posted to the United Center's Facebook page, it seemed that legendary rock band Aerosmith would soon announce a tour with a stop in Chicago.

And at 8 a.m. Monday, the band made it official.

" Breaking News " a video posted to the Aerosmith's website says, above the words "Peace Out" and "Aerosmith Farewell Tour with Special Guest The Black Crowes" posted underneath.

Shortly after the announcement, their website appeared to briefly crash. But a Tweet with tour and show information was posted.

"After 50 years, 10 world tours, and playing for over 100 million fans...It's time for one last go!" the band said.

Perry believes the time to say goodbye is now, especially with every founding band member over the age of 70. Tyler, 75, is the oldest in the group.

“It’s kind of a chance to celebrate the 50 years we’ve been out here,” Perry said. “You never know how much longer everybody’s going to be healthy to do this. … It’s been a while since we’ve actually done a real tour. We did that run in Vegas, which was great. It was fun, but (we're) kind of anxious to get back on the road.“

Over the years, Aerosmith, which formed in 1970, has collected four Grammys. The band broke boundaries intersecting rock and hip-hop with their epic collaboration with Run-DMC for “Walk This Way.”

Aerosmith performed the Super Bowl halftime show in 2001 and even had their own theme park attraction in 1999 at Disney World in Florida and later in Paris with the launch of the “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith” ride.

“We’re opening up Pandora’s Box one last time to present our fans with the Peace Out tour,” Tyler said in a statement to The Associated Press. His “Pandora’s Box” reference calls out Aerosmith’s 1991 three-disc compilation album that covered the band’s output from the 1970s to the early 1980s.

“Be there or beware as we bring all the toys out of the attic. Get ready,” Tyler added.

The band said drummer Joey Kramer decided to not take part in the current dates on the upcoming tour. He’s still a part of the group, but the drummer has been on leave to “focus his attention on his family and health” since their Vegas residency last year. Drummer John Douglas will continue to play in his place.

Perry called Kramer their brother. The band said his “legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.”

“It’s the final farewell tour, but I have a feeling it will go on for a while,” he said. “But I don’t know how many times we’ll be coming back to the same cities. It could very possibly be the last time.”
