Talk to NPC Brother Mendel , he will open room with Red Chest as a reward for intoxicated ratch livers.

Finish Athenas Crew Challenges if you got any left and Return to Sanctuary

Borderlands 3 Map Legend

Crew challenges.

On most maps you will find hidden Crew Challenges. They appear on the map as you approach them. Crew Challenges can be treated as optional tasks. They are not mandatory, but they bring EXP and rewards, and are also included in Zone Progress.

Typhon Logs are a special type of Crew Challenges. The solution of three Typhon Logs on a given map gives you access to Typhon Dead Drop Crew Challenge with reward chest.

Red Chests are a special type of container with better weapons or equipment. They are treated as a reward. They are located in specific places, they are hidden or well protected by Bosses. They belong to the Zone Progress of a given zone map. There are from one to three Red Chests in each zone.

Fast Travel Station

Use the fast travel network to revisit explored areas.

Borderlands 3 lets you teleport from anywhere to any previously discovered Fast Travel station or even your most recently used vehicle, all via the map in your ECHO device, this also include Fast Travel stations on other planet.

Quest Starter

This is where the mission / quest begins. The Quest Giver can be an NPC, an item, or the quest starts automatically at the entrance to the location.

Catch-A-Ride - Vehicle Station

Vehicles you encounter are yours for the taking. You can always digistruct a vehicle at any Catch-A-Ride station, but there's also the option of a quick hijacking if aggressive bandit drivers get too close.

Marcus' Munitions

Vending Machine with Weapons and Equipment. In addition to buying, you can also sell your equipment here.

Veteran Rewards

There is a special vending machine with premium equipment on the Sanctuary III space ship.

Eridian Writings

At the beginning of the game you can't do anything about Eridian Writings, they will be needed later when the story comes to the right moment.

Hostile Boss, Special Enemy, tougher opponents.

You can take this vehicle, drive it or take it to Catch-A-Ride station to own it. If you disassembly it at Catch-A-Rideyou will acquire new components for your vehicle.

How to find every piece of the lost Eridian Writing in the Borderlands galaxy.

Throughout your journey in Borderlands 3 you will discover small slabs of Eridian Writing in the locations you visit. These slabs will remain a mystery until you complete the nineteenth story chapter - The Great Vault.

In the Great Vault of Pandora, you'll find an Eridian Analyzer. This will read the Eridian Writing scattered across the galaxy for you, revealing some secrets about its history.

You'll receive 25 Eridian for every piece of Eridian Writing you read. This Eridian has a variety of uses, including paying new cosmetic items from Earl on Sanctuary III.

How to decipher and read Eridian Writing in Borderlands 3

During your journey through the stars you may have encountered some small glowing slabs.

These slabs are Eridian Writing, but you won't be able to do anything with them until you've completed the nineteenth story chapter - The Great Vault.

Inside the Great Vault, you'll discover the Eridian Analyzer.

This device will decipher the Eridian Writing for you, transforming it into an Echo Log you can listen to whenever you want.

To use the Eridian Analyzer, simply walk up to a piece of Eridian Writing and press the promoted button. The Eridian Analyzer will then translate the text for you.

For every piece of Eridian Writing you decipher, you'll receive 25 Eridian.

There are two pieces of Eridian Writing hidden away in The Droughts of Pandora.

The first is in Varkid Valley, near where you fight Lavender Crawly for the Legendary Hunts .

To reach this piece of Eridian Writing head west from The Droughts Fast Travel Station, until you reach the valley.

Next, follow the right-hand wall of the valley until you reach a cave.

At the back of the cave, you'll find the Eridian Writing.

The second is near Tannis's camp, which is north from Ellie's scrap yard .

Head down to the lowest level of the camp and you'll find the Eridian writing in a cave.

There is one piece of Eridian Writing in Ascension Bluff and it's in the northern region of this area .

To reach this writing you must travel to the bandit camp next to the most northerly Catch-A-Ride station.

Climb to the top of this camp and you'll be able to cross over to the other section of the camp by a series of bridges.

Once you're on the other side, make your way around the camp. You want to keep following the road until the camp is behind you and you're out in the desert again.

Keep following this pathway and you'll eventually come to the Eridian Writing set in the wall.

The Eridian Writing for the Meridian Outskirts can be found in the western end of the main area .

To reach it fast travel to the Meridian Outskirts Fast Travel Station, enter the plain and then travel west until you reach an alcove.

Head up the stairwell in this alcove and climb over the medical screens to find the Eridian Writing.

The Eridian Writing in the Meridian Metroplex is easy to find.

Simply Fast Travel to the Meridian Metroplex Fast Travel Station and then look to your right to see the Eridian Writing .

The Eridian Writing on Athenas is another easy find.

Head back to the shrine you visited after defeating Captain Traunt and the Eridian Writing will be in the middle of the walkway.

There is one piece of Eridian Writing hidden on Skywell-27 and it's close to where you exit the maintenance pipes .

Take the first left path once you exit the Maintenance Corridor and you'll find a large orange pipe that you can climb up.

This will lead you to a small hidden area where, on the right-hand wall, you'll find the Eridian Writing.

Atlas HQ is hiding one piece of Eridian Writing on the walls in Rhys's office .

Take the elevator in the main room of Atlas HQ to reach his office.

Once you've passed the fish tanks, you'll find the Eridian Writing to your right.

The piece of Eridian Writing in Lectra City is located in its abandoned underground .

The quickest way to reach it is to fast travel to Lectra City and then follow the road to the left, until you past the Dockyard.

Shortly after passing this area you'll see a passageway leading down to the underground on your right-hand side.

Take these steps and then follow the path to the right.

Keep your eyes on the right-hand wall, because that's where the Eridian Writing will quickly appear.

You can find one piece of Eridian Writing in Neon Arterial and it's located in the caves before the entrance to The Forgotten Basilica .

Continue through the tunnels that lie beyond the train station, until you reach the area where you first encounter the Wraiths.

Kill all the Wraiths and then look to your right to find the Eridian Writing on the back of the block.

There are two pieces of Eridian Writing hidden in Floodmoor Basin.

To find the first head to the bottom of Knotty Peak .

Once you're there take the right hand pathway, which involves climbing the little ladder.

Continue following this path until there is a right hand turn and then walk to the edge of the cliff.

When you reach the cliff edge, turn to your left to find the Eridian Writing hidden beneath a tree.

The second piece of Eridian Writing is located west of the entrance to The Anvil .

Just before the entrance to The Anvil you'll find a small pathway between two broken down cars.

Walk past these cars and continue on past the house in this area and up the hill.

Keep going until you see a series of ledges with yellow paint on them - climb up this ledge and head left.

You will quickly find a waterfall on your right-hand side and, beneath it, you'll find the Eridian Writing.

The only piece of Eridian Writing is located in the very first section of The Anvil .

After you pass the building that has the first Typhon Log sat upon it, there is a pipe surrounded by broken cars.

Head into this pipe and then go into the small room on the left-hand side to find the Eridian Writing.

To find the piece of Eridian Writing located in the Jakobs Estate head left when you descend the first steps of stairs in this area .

Head into this swamp land, keeping to the right-hand side of this area.

Go to the tree that is farthest north out of this clump of trees to find the Eridian Writing hiding at its roots.

There is one piece of Eridian Writing in Voracious Canopy and its hidden behind the waterfall that is opposite the crashed spaceship .

Head to waterfall and climb up into the caves hidden behind its waters.

You'll find the Eridian Writing fixed to the back wall of the innermost cave.

There are two pieces of Eridian Writing located in Ambermire.

The first is in the large wetland that lies beyond the Rogue's Hollow .

The easiest way to find this piece of Eridian Writing is to head to the nearby Typhon Log. This is the log that is near both the net and the house with party balloons.

Once you're there, head into the roots of the large tree that is directly opposite the Typhon Log.

You will find the Eridian Writing sitting within the roots of this tree.

The second piece of Eridian Writing in the bandit camp directly east of Rogue's Hollow .

To reach this area take the path nearest to the entrance of Rogue's Hollow and then continue forward until you reach the bandit camp.

Next, you'll want to kill all the bandits in the area to make your search easier.

When all the bandits are dead, continue through the camp until you find a large skull.

The Eridian Writing is hidden behind this skull.

In the Blackbarrel Cellars you will find one piece of Eridian Writing, which can be found near the Typhon Dead Drop .

Head to the gardens beyond the cellars and go through the left-hand gate.

Once you pass through the gates, immediately turn left and head towards the waterfall.

The waterfall hides a small cavern that you can reach by either sliding or crouching.

In this cavern you will find the Eridian Writing.

There are two pieces of Eridian Writing hidden in Devil's Razor.

The first piece is located east of Roland's Rest .

To find it head down to the Catch-A-Ride of Roland's Rest and then wall the valley wall to your left.

If you stick to this valley wall, you'll eventually find the Eridian Writing. Don't worry - it's not very far.

The second piece of Eridian Writing is located west of Roland's Rest .

You can find it using a similar method to the first piece - head to the Roland's Rest Catch-A-Ride and follow the valley wall to your right.

Keep following this wall, even dropping down the small cliffs, and you will eventually reach a small cave that contains the Eridian Writing.

In The Splinterlands you'll find one piece of Eridian Writing, which is located in the southern end of this area .

The quickest way to reach this piece of writing is to fast travel to the The Splinterlands - Chop Shop Fast Travel Station.

From here, head north towards the billboard.

On the hill directly opposite the billboard, you'll find a small cave.

Enter this cave to find the Eridian Writing for The Splinterlands.

Out in the plain of Carnivora, you can discover a piece of Eridian Writing.

This piece of writing is out on the eastern edge of the main plain, just a little south from the last Typhon Log of this area .

To quickly reach this writing, work your way through the entrance of Carnivora, then, when you reach the main plain, jump in a Catch-A-Ride. You will want to follow the valley wall to the east.

Keep your eyes on the valley wall, because the Eridian Writing will be on one of its large rocks.

Thankfully it glows orange making it easy to see.

Somehow there is even Eridian Writing within the Guts of Carnivora.

The Eridian Writing is located in the room south of where you fight the Agonizer 9000 .

To reach this piece of writing work your way through the Guts of Carnivora just like you did during your first visit.

When you reach the area just before you fight the Agonizer 9000, you will see a small hole with a ladder in it. Drop down this hole.

You'll find yourself in a room full of enemies. Make sure you kill them all before heading to the Eridian Writing.

With all the bandits dead, you'll find the Eridian Writing sitting amongst a set of television screens at the back of this room.

There is one piece of Eridian Writing to be found in Konrad's Hold.

The Eridian Writing of Konrad's Hold is located in an area that is only accessible when you've started the side mission The Demon in the Dark .

To start this mission, cross the bridge that connects the upper half of Konrad's Hold to the lower. At the end of the bridge you'll find a small gully.

Jump down into the gully and talk to the abandoned robot head to start The Demon in the Dark.

If you're having trouble shooting through the three rings, make sure you're standing on the square titles to activate them. Once activated the rings will glow purple.

You now have to play through The Demon in the Dark until you reach the room containing the Echo log for this mission.

Here the Eridian Writing will be waiting for you on the wall.

There is one piece of Eridian Writing hidden in the Cathedral of the Twin Gods.

It's hidden down a passageway about halfway along your drive to the cathedral .

Stop driving when you see a half-open door, which you can either slide or crouch beneath.

Once you're inside this room, go through the hole in the wall and climb up the ledge inside.

Finally, head to the back of the cave to find the Eridian Writing.

There are two pieces of Eridian Writing to be found in Desolation's Edge.

The first can be found in the abandoned temple in the southern part of the main plain of Desolation's Edge .

The Eridian Writing can be found in the room containing a collection of Wraiths.

Once the Wraith are dead, you can read the writing that is located on the wall to the right of the doorway.

The second piece of Eridian Writing is located in the underground caverns in Desolation's Edge .

To reach this area you must first complete the side mission Cannonization. You can start this side mission by talking to Grouse - one of the robots in Typhon's camp.

Once you've finished Cannonization, you'll be able to start the side mission Bad Vibrations by again talking to Grouse again.

Play through this mission until you gain access to the underground caverns.

Work your way through the caverns until you reach the second cavern with an opening to the outside world.

Head out onto the outside platform of this area to find the Eridian Writing on the wall.

There is one piece of Eridian Writing in Tazendeer Ruins and you can find it in the upper level of the main temple in the Tazendeer Ruins .

To find this writing work your way back to the main temple and then take the elevator to the upper floor.

Once you're on the upper floor, head into the next room and then through the doors on the right-hand side of the room.

You'll find the Eridian Writing on the back of the statue in this room.

There is only one piece of Eridian Writing for you to find in The Pyre of Stars.

It's located in the room just before you reach the pedestal for the Eden-6 Vault Key fragment .

Make your way through the ruins, killing anyone who attacks you, until you reach this room. Clear out all the bandits that appear to attack you to make finding the Eridian Writing easier.

When all your enemies are dead, head to the pillar nearest the doorway at the end of this room.

On the back of this pillar, you'll find the Eridian Writing.

There are several challenges in most of Borderlands 3 ’s maps. These challenges reward great experience and sometimes even enhance your vehicles. Picking them up is always worthwhile, but some of them can be a real pain to find. And that’s why we found them for you.

Athenas challenge map locations

Look for the icons on the map above to find the challenges in Athenas.

Crimson Radio

This Crimson Radio is hard to find. Across the giant bridge, you’ll see a speaker sitting on a box. Follow the speaker wire up several buildings using the boxes to your right. Climb until you can jump into the tower. In the tower, shut down the Crimson Radio.

Dead Claptrap 1

The first dead Claptrap is on a small island. You can follow the bridge over or just jump over.

Dead Claptrap 2

Just past the Crimson Radio, you’ll find another dead Claptrap on a roof.

Legendary Hunt

Past the first dead Claptrap, you’ll find a small arena with a Legendary Hunt in it. The monster will spawn when you walk in.

Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log is on a small overhang. It looks like a singular box floating off the map.

Typhon Log 2

In the open area before you reach the bridge, you’ll find the second Typhon Log on the edge of a big building.

Typhon Log 3

The final Typhon Log comes at the end of Athenas. It’s in the water, next to the statue.

Typhon Dead Drop

Across the bridge, right next to the Crimson Radio, the Typhon Dead Drop is leaning against a wall. You’ll need to jump over a fence.

• How To Fast Travel

You Can Use Fast Travel Anywhere (Almost)

Fast Travel in Borderlands 3 is free and can be done anywhere. Do this by just opening the Echo menu and choosing where you want to Fast Travel to and you're good to go. However, you cannot Fast Travel when riding a vehicle .

Fast Travel To Your Vehicle

You can also use Fast Travel to instantly teleport to your vehicle. You can do this by opening the ECHO menu and selecting your vehicle, then Fast Traveling to it as you would with a location. You'll then be instantly inside your vehicle and ready to drive.

Can Only Go To Fast Travel Stations

You can only go to places with unlocked Fast Travel Stations. From there, you can either walk or Digistruct a vehicle to go to your destination. Also worth noting is that you cannot fast travel to New-U Stations (in-game checkpoints).

One-Way Fast Travel Stations

Fast Travel Station encountered after boss fights are one-way stations, meaning that you cannot Fast Travel to them . Using them works the same way as using Fast Travel in your ECHO menu.

You Can Fast Travel During Combat

Even in combat, you can still fast travel by opening the ECHO menu. Use this to regroup and get out of unfavorable situations. Note that this is a one-way trip and you might have to manually trek back to your previous location.

Borderlands 3: How to Fast Travel

Borderlands 3 , the long awaited third numbered entry in Gearbox’s loot shooter series, is finally here. The world is more varied and packed than ever before, so you’ll want to get around it as quickly as possible. Here’s everything you need to know about how to fast travel in Borderlands 3 .

As you would have seen in the trailers, Borderlands 3 feature a huge map full of dramatically different locations. While you can, of course, make your way around on foot, fast traveling is easier.

How to Fast Travel in Borderlands 3

You won’t be able to fast travel everywhere from the start of the game. Not only do new areas of the map open up gradually as you make your way through the main quest, but you actually have to visit fast travel points to unlock them.

They’re easy to find, being shown by a little planet symbol on your map, but you’ll have to go to them in person to activate them. Once you’ve done so once, you’ll be able to fast travel between them as and when you like.

To check out what’s nearby and where you can travel to, you can open up your Borderlands 3 zone map by pressing the Options button if you’re on PlayStation 4 (Menu button if you’re on Xbox One).

From that map, you can select any station that you’ve previously visited and choose to fast travel there.

You have to have visited stations once before you can fast travel to them.

Fast Travel

Fast Travel is a teleportation system accessible from prominent interactive Hyperion or Dahl New-U Stations . The devices seem to use the same concept as digistructing; deconstructing the traveler and reconstructing them at their destination.

Background [ ]

Certain prominent New-U Stations scattered around Pandora have Fast Travel capability. Each Fast Travel terminal is connected to all other Fast Travel terminals in a planet-wide network. By accessing any one of them, a character can be instantaneously transported to any of the other terminals that they have previously visited. Users require a Fast Travel Pass in order to utilize Fast Travel capabilities.

At the time of the Borderlands Vault Hunters ' arrival on Pandora, the Fast Travel network is shut down thanks to the machinations of the bandit lord Mad Mel . In order to activate it, a power station must be recaptured and restarted during the mission Powering The Fast Travel Network in the Dahl Headlands , upon which Lucky Zaford provides the needed Fast Travel Pass. From here, right through to the rise of Handsome Jack and beyond, any Fast Travel terminal can be activated for instant transport to new locations.

In addition to Hyperion's manufacturing of New-U and Fast Travel Stations, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel shows that at some point in the past, Dahl also mass-produced the same technology and distributed them across Elpis for their use. Hyperion is able to tap into and manipulate Elpis' network, as shown by the ability to travel from a Dahl Fast Travel terminal on Elpis to a Hyperion Fast Travel terminal on Helios . Dahl-manufactured Fast Travel networks were used to also transport cargo via digistruction, which inadvertently populated Sub-Level 13 with ghosts.

Fast Travel Access [ ]

To access the Fast Travel Network, players must move within activation range of the terminal and use the action key. Using the action key a second time while in the menu will initiate travel to the chosen location.

In Borderlands , the menu that appears has two tabs: the menu with the rabbit icon denotes the Fast Travel menu; the menu with the character card icon denotes the Character Customization menu. As players explore Pandora , more locations get added to the Fast Travel Network list, and each one can be accessed by scrolling through the location listing to find the desired one.

In Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 3, only the Fast Travel menu itself is available on a Fast Travel terminal due to character customization being available at Quick Change stations. As players explore Pandora, Elpis and the Universe, more locations are added to each game's Fast Travel list and players can travel to any available one.

Travel occurs instantly in single player, or after a two second countdown in Borderlands multiplayer, which is extended to a five second countdown in Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 3 . However, travel cannot be initiated if any players are Crippled into Fight For Your Life, are in another Fast Travel or Catch-A-Ride menu, are in their inventory, or have triggered a game save.

The Fast Travel Network is a valuable part of the series, allowing players to quickly change zones to search for more loot, battle different enemies and bosses or complete or gather new missions.

Downloadable Content Access [ ]

Upon installing any add-on content pack in Borderlands , Borderlands 2 , or Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel , previously non-existent locations are added to each respective game's fast travel list.

In Borderlands , downloadable content areas can be accessed at any time after the completion of the mission Skags At The Gate , regardless of whether or not the Fast Travel Network has been activated by completing the mission Powering The Fast Travel Network . Downloadable content areas for Borderlands feature multiple locations to explore, but only the very first location visited in each downloadable content pack is available for Fast Travel.

In Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel , downloadable content locations can be accessed at any time at any Fast Travel enabled Hyperion or Dahl New-U Station. Unlike Borderlands , Fast Travel is available to most (if not all) locations of each downloadable content pack.

Exit Only Fast Travel Stations [ ]

Some Fast Travel stations in Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands 3 are classified as "exit only" Fast Travel stations. They offer a normal menu of destinations, but are not listed on the menus of other stations themselves. This allows one-way travel away from the exit-only Fast Travel, and is generally used to offer an exit point at the end of a story mission. An exit only Fast Travel terminal can be identified by its yellow holographic projections featuring a "no u-turn" symbol only in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and without a "no u-turn" symbol and only a no entry symbol in Borderlands 3 . A regular Fast Travel terminal features blue holographic projections.

Borderlands 3 – Athenas All Named Locations

Borderlands 3 (BL3) has 5 Named Locations in Athenas. This guide shows all of them for each zone on Planet: Athenas.

None of the named locations are missable! You can still discover all of them after the story in free-roam. You can go back to all relevant places during the endgame.

To keep track of your progress, open the map and hit the L3 / Left Stick. You can check this map by map or if you zoom out to the planet map select you can see the total progress on that planet.

Simply step into every named location, you just need to stand in the right spot. When you find something new it always says “Area Discovered” with the location name in the middle of the screen. There is no need to uncover (turn blue) the whole map, you just need to stand in the specific spots to register them.

The  Purple Marker  in the images shows the exact spot.

Good morning, my map states that I ve visited 4 out 5 locations even if I went everywhere and all locations have been discovered….. Tried to delete and reinstall the game but still… Will this stops me from getting the trophy? Thanks

The locations are very glitchy in general. After reinstall didn’t help and revisiting all locations again didn’t help, your best bet is to wait for a patch. It may also be worth joining someone in co-op and revisiting all locations in their game, or the hardcore variant is to start a new character entirely and play through the game again.

I have the trophies for Discovering all named locations in Necrotafeyo, Pandora, Eden6 and Promethea also I have Athenas at 100% complete but show no trophy for it and walked back through all named locations of it and still cant unlock the Main trophy for “Master of All You Survey” my Galaxey progress is at 103% I’ve done ALL the slaughters and all the eridium proving grounds. WTF is going on???

Some zones reset the “location founds” progress when you go back to the main menu or change the mayhem levels; pretty much anything that would cause the game to reload. That’s what was happening to me. If you still missing any location trophies and having this issue, my advice would be to avoid reloading the game in anyway. I personally even avoided Sanctuary since its sort of a neutral zone as a precaution.
