As NYC’s first and only Hot Tub Boat Tour, this could be one of the most unusual ways to explore the Hudson River.  This 90-minute cruise leaves from Liberty Landing Marina inside Liberty State Park and allows passengers to take a dip in more comfortable waters than the Hudson River.

There are two hot tubs on the boat, and groups are seated together. Each hot tub can fit eight to ten guests, and ticket prices range depending on the size of your party. Feel free to book during the summer or winter months, because a hot tub is nice any time of year!

The Sightseeing Cruise is Hudson River Cruises’ most popular cruise on its boat the Rip van Winkle II. The trip is good for all ages and reduced-price tickets for children 4-11 years old are available while children 3 and under are free. Running from May to October, this narrated tour is two hours long teaching passengers about many popular landmarks including various lighthouses and mansions along the water .

While food and drinks aren’t included in the ticket price, you can purchase them on the boat during the tour. Hudson River Cruises also has other cruises including a sunset cruise, tribute band cruises, private events, and more. These 2-3 hours-long cruises provide passengers with a unique ecological tour educating passengers about the Hudson. The tour includes songs about sailing and environmental concerns.

Perhaps getting some cardio in (or not, if you want to relax) on a cycle boat which includes up to 26 pedal seats around a central bar for 90 minutes. Individual tickets range from $39 to $54 depending on the day and time of your cruise. The whole boat is available for rent for private events as well.

NYC Cycle Boats have weekly specials and even a bikers gang with members-only rides. This membership is self-described as “Think SoulCycle but much cooler and more fun.” These boats leave from both Jersey City (Surf City/Liberty Harbor Marina) and Hoboken (Pier 13/Shipyard Marina) touring the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline, respectively.

Sail Away has sailboats and motor yachts leaving from Chelsea Piers in NYC and Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City. Passengers can use the shuttle service to help make it a door-to-door adventure with Sail Away. Yachts are available to rent for private charters starting at $325 per hour.

Sappho Sailing offers a one-of-a-kind adventure on the New York Harbor. The fun begins on the Sappho which is a Cherubini 44. The Sappho is a sailing yacht that can reach up to 10 knots under sail. There is open-air seating on the deck either in the cockpit or on the cabin top.

Although the team provides snacks and beverages, passengers are also allowed to bring snacks and drinks if desired. The experiential sailing tour begins at $170 per person.

Macy's firework display returning to the Hudson River. How to watch

I t's almost time for the Macy's 48th annual July 4th fireworks display, and it's star-studded show of musical performances and guest appearances.

Four-time Grammy Award-nominated recording artist Mickey Guyton and American Ninja Warrior  sideline reporter Zuri Hall will host the show, featuring performances by Lainey Wilson , Tanner Adell, Brandy Clark, Luis Fonsi, Mickey Guyton, Amber Mark, The War And Treaty and more.

How to watch Macy's fireworks

This year's iconic display will make a return to launch from the Hudson River, for the first time in 10 years, offering live front-row views from both sides of the river, in New York and New Jersey. In the last nine years, it launched from the East River, offering those front-row views to Brooklyn and Queens.

• New Jersey live view: front row along the Hudson River from Hoboken, Weehawken and West New York.
• New York Live view: front row along the Hudson River in Manhattan between West 14th and West 34th Streets.
• TV broadcast and streaming destinations : watch on NBC and Peacock.

When are the Macy’s July 4 fireworks?

The show will start at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock with an encore presentation airing at 10 p.m. ET

The fireworks display is typically scheduled to begin at approximately 9:25 p.m. ET

The largest fireworks show in the country

The Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular sets of an average of 1,600 shells per minute, viewed by more than 3 million spectators and a TV audience of more that 8 million, according to news reports .

The 25-minute show will include over 60,000 shells that will be set off from five barges, and reach heights up to 1,000 feet high above the water.

New York firefighters pull out apparent flaming e-bike in fire that critically injured man | Video

3 others wounded in Brooklyn blaze

NEW YORK -- One man remains in critical condition after an intense fire at a New York City apartment building that firefighters say was sparked by a charging lithium-ion battery.

The fire broke out inside the building just before 6:40 a.m. Thursday in Brooklyn.

At least four people were hurt in the fire. A man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 30-year-old man is being treated for severe burns at Staten Island University Hospital North.

The other people being treated for injuries are all expected to survive.

Dramatic video showed firefighters entering the lobby and pulling out what appeared to be an e-bike that was engulfed in flames and blocking the stairwell. It is believed to be the property of one of the injured victims.

Multiple e-bike batteries were also apparently found on fire inside.

Neighbors applauded the FDNY and said they were heroes for stopping the spread as quickly as they did.

"The fire was raging, and all of the windows broken, and the fire was looped around to the roof, and these brave men, they were just on the ladders, just going on... like this is their life," witness Lillian Crespo said.

Residents salvaged what they could, and picked through the rubble. The Red Cross is helping them find places to stay.

Neighbors wonder how much of the damage could have been prevented had the e-bike been used or stored more safely.

"This is not going to stop, everyone in this neighborhood has a bike and scooter, I mean everyone," Crespo said.

The FDNY has been adamant about e-bike safety education, and it may be working.

There were 13 deaths from lithium-ion batteries this time last year, and so far this year, there has been one.

Tom Cruise was seen deplaning a helicopter alongside his son, Connor Cruise, in central London Friday — a week after skipping his youngest child Suri Cruise’s high school graduation .

Paparazzi snapped the action movie star, 61, wearing a short-sleeved, gray shirt that showcased his muscular arms and a pair of jeans as he grinned from ear to ear while leaving the heliport.

Connor, 29, meanwhile, was dressed comfortably in a black hoodie, gray slacks, sneakers, a matching cap and a pair of shades. The expression on his face, unlike his dad, was serious and calm.

Per eyewitnesses, the father-son duo were joined by a few other unnamed guests during the aerial outing.

Tom’s sighting with Connor comes as he faces backlash for missing a milestone celebration in Suri’s life.

A day after missing the 18-year-old’s graduation from LaGuardia High School, the “Mission Impossible” star chose to party with Swifties and celebs at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London last Saturday.

Tom was spotted laughing and schmoozing with the pop superstar’s boyfriend , Travis Kelce, in the VIP tent and exchanging friendship bracelets across the pond.

Meanwhile, Suri rang in her commencement ceremony with mom Katie Holmes and fellow students.

It’s not surprising Tom didn’t make it to his daughter’s big day, though, as they’ve been estranged for years .

In March 2023, a source exclusively confirmed to Page Six that the “Top Gun” star has “no part” in the teen’s life, which he previously admitted in a deposition lawsuit was due to his  ties to Scientology .

When Holmes, 45, called it quits with Tom in 2011, she and Suri no longer had any part in the controversial church, which reportedly does not allow its members to associate with nonbelievers.

However, because Connor — who is Tom’s adopted son with ex-wife Nicole Kidman — is still a Scientologist, he is still able to spend quality time with his famous father.

In November 2018, Kidman, 57, opened up about Connor and his sister Bella Cruise’s decision to remain part of the Church of Scientology.
