About Norwegian Cruise Line sailings

Norwegian cruise line destinations, norwegian cruise line cruise prices, what is the best norwegian cruise line ship, what’s included on ncl cruises, ncl firsts in the industry: what is norwegian known for, ncl loyalty program: latitude rewards, norwegian cruise line credit card, what is ncl known for.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is one of the top players in large-ship cruising, and its fleet is seeing one of its biggest refits in decades with its new Prima fleet of ships. Norwegian Cruise Line ships are also known for their colorful hull art that makes them stand out in ports around the world.

The company dates back to 1966 when it got its start as a Norwegian shipping company. Today, it has become one of the more popular mainstream cruise brands and is part of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, which also includes the Regent Seven Seas and Oceania brands.

If you’re scrolling through endless Norwegian Cruise Line reviews, let this complete guide to the cruise company give you the larger overview of what sets this brand apart from the rest. There are some interesting innovations from Norwegian that other cruise lines have since adopted, but they started here.

NCL sails around the world with numerous routes from the U.S. to Caribbean destinations as well as around the Mediterranean and Baltic Seas.

Its loyalty program, onboard amenities and variety of cabin types offer something for every type of traveler.

Cabin types: You can expect a range of different cabin sizes and layouts ranging from solo-traveler interior studios and inside cabins for as many as four people to ocean view and balcony cabins. A wide range of suites are also available. The Prima class of ships feature the largest suites, some of which have private whirlpools on the balcony and as many as three bedrooms.

Main U.S. routes: NCL has plenty of North America sailings from U.S. ports to Alaska, Bermuda, Canada and New England. There are also sailings to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico and the Panama Canal, among others.

Loyalty program: NCL's Latitudes Rewards loyalty program, which issues one point for every night sailed as well as bonus points for booking suites or participating in certain promotions. At each elite tier, members earn onboard benefits like discounts, laundry service and special event access. The more you travel with NCL, the more benefits you can earn.

norwegian cruise line tickets

NCL spans the globe with sailings to every continent (even Antarctica) on a wide range of ships. They leave from both U.S. coasts as well as from Hawaii — where NCL has operated inter-island Hawaiian sailing for almost two decades.

Antarctica.

New Zealand.

Pacific Islands.

Panama Canal.

South America.

Depending on how long you want to sail and where you're going, you can find cruises as brief as two nights and as long as 21 days or more.

» Learn more: The pros and cons of cruises

You'll find lots of good deals on Norwegian, but cruise fares will fluctuate based on the destination, time of year and other variables. You’ll want to keep these factors in mind when booking a cruise, as they'll affect the price of the trip:

Time of year.

Trip duration.

Destination.

Ship class.

Cabin type.

You can find cruise bargains for as low as $350 on four-night cruises, but if you want to splurge and do a longer cruise, expect to pay as much as $4,600 or more (especially if you book a suite or a Haven category room).

Of course, the fare will always vary depending on which cabin type you book.

When it comes to which NCL ship is best, that depends on what you're looking for in a cruise. If you're traveling with a family, for example, water slides, amusement park-style games and multi-bedroom suites may be important. This means you may prefer one of the line’s newest Prima Class ships: Norwegian Prima or Norwegian Viva.

If you're looking for a romantic vacation, perhaps you'll want a smaller ship or a cabin in The Haven, which is a hotel-within-a-hotel concept with more personalized service. The Haven is only available on select Norwegian ships, including Encore, Viva and Prima.

What is the newest NCL ship?

Norwegian Viva launched in the summer of 2023, making it the newest ship for NCL. It has special features like a three-tier race track, the fastest slides at sea, a food hall with 11 complimentary eateries and a sustainable cocktail bar.

» Learn more: Do you need a passport for a Caribbean cruise?

On any NCL cruise, these benefits are always included:

Accommodations in the category you select at booking.

All meals in snack and buffet restaurants, main dining rooms and, when available, the food hall.

Free non-bottled water, juice, hot chocolate, and some coffees and teas.

Fitness center access.

Shows and entertainment.

Pools and kids pool play area.

Onboard activities.

Government fees and port taxes.

If you want to partake in specialty dining reservations, Wi-Fi, Norwegian cruise excursions or upgraded beverage packages, you'll have to pay fees (sometimes bundled for greater savings).

» Learn more: Are cruises all-inclusive?

Norwegian Cruise Line pioneered many features aboard its ships, some of which other cruise lines have imitated. These are some of the special features you'll find aboard some or all of the ships in NCL’s fleet.

Freestyle dining: open-seating in restaurants with extended hours and no reservations.

Private island: Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas is a private island for cruise passengers. NCL was the first cruise company to offer access to a private island, and it spurred a growing trend in the industry.

Full Broadway theater productions.

Onboard internet cafe.

Bowling alley at sea.

Bar entirely made out of ice, called the Skyy Vodka Ice Bar .

Studio accommodations for solo travelers, with a private lounge.

Sustainability-focused onboard bar with zero waste.

Collection of NFTs from a cruise company, available for sale.

Race track at sea.

Latitude Rewards awards members with points based on each night they sail, and they can earn bonus nights when booking certain categories of suites.

Occasional promotions also offer double-night credit. You will only earn cruise points on eligible sailings where you are paying a traditional fare; promotional sailings with a heavy discount might not be eligible, although you would still receive the benefits at your tier. Also, sailings on sister lines do not qualify for Latitude Rewards cruise points.

As you accrue nights, you earn elite status that delivers onboard benefits that grow with each status tier.

Latitude Rewards levels

The loyalty program has seven levels, from Bronze to Ambassador. The full roster of onboard amenities can be found on the Norwegian Cruise Line website . There are some extra perks that come with certain tiers.

How to earn Latitudes Rewards points

Earn one point for every night you spend on a sailing and double points in suites or The Haven category accommodations.

How to redeem points

This program does not offer any points to redeem. Instead, you would earn benefits on future cruises related to your particular elite tier. Ambassador members (700+ points) earn a free 7-night cruise.

Spending on the Norwegian Cruise Line® World Mastercard® won’t earn you Latitude Rewards points (the only way to do that is by sailing with NCL), but it will earn you WorldPoints. This currency can be redeemed for onboard credits on future sailings, Norwegian Cruise Line shore excursions and other travel experiences. The card has no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees, making it ideal for world travelers.

With the Norwegian Cruise Line® World Mastercard, you earn WorldPoints as follows:

3x points on NCL sailings.

2x points on eligible airfare and hotel purchases.

1x point on everything else.

Earn 20,000 WorldPoints, which is good for a $200 onboard credit or discount toward a future cruise, if you spend $1,000 or more in the first 90 days the account is open.

How to redeem WorldPoints

Each WorldPoints point is equivalent to one cent, which you can then redeem for things such as:

Stateroom upgrades.

Travel discounts.

Last-minute cruises.

Onboard credits.

Car rentals.

Hotel stays.

Gift cards.

No, but you can pay for a Wi-Fi package, which starts at $29.99 per day per device.

No, but all sailings do include accommodations, activities, food and beverages, and entertainment. There is the ability to purchase extra benefits on each ship.

There are several drink package options on NCL sailings:

Non-alcoholic

The Unlimited Soda package includes all fountain soda drinks for $9.95 per person per day.

The Unlimited Starbucks package includes all Starbucks drinks for $12.95 per person per day.

An adult over the age of 21 could opt for a non-alcoholic drink package, but that means everyone else on their reservation must also get non-alcoholic drink packages.

Premium offers most drinks that cost $15 and under. You can pay the difference if you choose a more expensive drink. This unlimited package costs $109 per person per day.

Premium Plus offers even more drink options, mostly premium and top-shelf category labels, bottled water, Starbucks drinks and energy drinks for a flat price of $138 per person per day.

Keep in mind that alcoholic drink packages must be purchased for all people above the age of 21 in the same reservation, and those under 21 must pay for the soda package. The policy is intended to prevent people over the age of 21 from getting alcoholic drinks for other members of their party that did not pay for the alcoholic drink package.

Norwegian Cruise Line offers sailings at different price points to a global range of destinations. It is also known for its beautiful hull art, pioneering Freestyle Dining and adding buzzworthy amenities like its frigid yet delightful Skyy Vodka Ice Bar, which ranks among the best cruise line bars anywhere.

Plus, with activities like race tracks, NCL cruises are fun for all types of travelers, and its loyalty program can provide added perks along the way.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Latitudes Rewards loyalty program guide: Everything you need to know

Gene Sloan

Showing loyalty to Norwegian Cruise Line can get you some great rewards.

Norwegian's Latitudes Rewards loyalty program, which was revamped in 2022 , offers members such enticing perks as discounts on normally pricey drinks packages, shore excursions and spa treatments after only a few sailings. And that's just a hint of what's to come for loyal cruisers who reach the program's top tiers.

At the very top tier of the Latitudes Rewards program, the Ambassadors level, members get one of the most spectacular rewards in the cruise loyalty program universe: A free cruise for two.

Other perks Norwegian doles out to higher-tier members include discounts of up to 25% on internet packages, free wine tastings and free dinners at high-end restaurants on Norwegian ships.

Ways to earn points

Earning points in the Latitudes Rewards program is relatively straightforward. You will get:

  • One point for every night you spend on a ship.
  • An additional 1 point per night when staying in a Concierge-level cabin, full-fare suite (not mini-suites or club balcony suites) or The Haven rooms.
  • An additional 1 point per night when on a cruise booked via a Latitudes Rewards Insider Offer. These are special offers for Latitudes Rewards members.

Note that the extra point per night for suites only applies to stays in suites booked when a reservation is originally made. It doesn't apply to stays in suites that result from an upgrade.

Program tiers and benefits

There are seven tiers to the Latitudes Rewards program:

  • Bronze (1 to 19 points)
  • Silver (20 to 44 points)
  • Gold (45 to 74 points)
  • Platinum (75 to 149 points)
  • Sapphire (150 to 349 points)
  • Diamond (350 to 699 points)
  • Ambassador (700 or more points)

The Latitudes Rewards program is one of the more robust cruise line loyalty programs, with some solid perks available to almost all members.

After just one cruise, as a newly minted Bronze member, you will receive a 30% discount on an unlimited open bar package — a perk that could save you a significant amount of money when cruising if you're a drinker. This perk was added in September 2022, much to the delight of Norwegian fans.

As a Bronze tier member, you'll also receive a 10% discount at onboard duty-free shops, early access to new product information and exclusive offers, a signature pin and a few other minor things.

Related: A beginner's guide to cruise line loyalty programs

norwegian cruise line tickets

Moving up to the Silver level of the Latitudes Rewards loyalty program will bring all the above plus:

  • An invitation to a complimentary onboard cocktail party
  • A 10% discount on shore excursions
  • A 20% discount on photos
  • A 15% discount on spa treatments performed when the ship is in port
  • A higher 15% discount at onboard duty-free shops
  • A higher 40% discount on an unlimited open bar package

The Gold level bumps up the discounts on photos and spa treatments to 25% and 20%, respectively, and also brings:

  • A complimentary Flow Water carton
  • A 50% discount on a bag of laundry
  • Priority tender tickets (for applicable ports)
  • Priority disembarkation (U.S. citizens only)

As noted above, it'll take you just one cruise to reach the initial Bronze tier. Reaching the Silver level would require three seven-night cruises, assuming you stay in standard cabins. If you book suites or book only Latitudes Rewards Insider Offers, you'll reach the Silver level much faster.

Reaching the Gold tier can be done in as few as three seven-night cruises if you book a suite and also only book Latitudes Rewards Insider Offers. If you book standard cabins and don't use Latitudes Rewards Insider Offers, it would take five seven-night cruises.

The elite level that makes a difference

In our view, the Platinum level is where being a loyal Norwegian customer starts paying off.

Once you reach Platinum, you'll get all the above plus a 15% discount on internet packages, which is a great perk. Internet packages on Norwegian can be pricey.

Related: The 5 best destinations you can visit on a Norwegian cruise

norwegian cruise line tickets

Another great perk at the Platinum level is access to two free dinners at some of the top restaurants on Norwegian ships on every voyage of five nights or longer.

Norwegian relatively recently expanded the value of this perk by making the free dinners available at more onboard restaurants. Previously, one of the free dinners, which included a complimentary bottle of wine, could only be booked at the Cagney's steakhouses and Le Bistro French eateries on Norwegian ships. Now guests can book it at any onboard restaurant that has a complimentary wine list. Guests can also book a second free dinner at a wider range of eateries.

Note that upcharges apply to certain premium menu items when taking advantage of the free dinner perk.

Platinum members also get:

  • Priority check-in and embarkation
  • Chocolate-covered strawberries delivered to their room
  • A Wines Around the World tasting
  • A behind-the-scenes ship tour
  • A higher 30% discount on photos
  • A higher 25% discount on spa treatments
  • A dedicated pre-cruise service desk

In addition, Platinum members can pre-book entertainment on ships 26 days prior to sailing. Platinum members also can pre-book dining 125 days prior to sailing and typically pre-book shore excursions one year prior to sailing.

Related: Why Norwgian's new Prima class of ships may be its best ever

It can take as many as 11 seven-night cruises to reach Platinum status if you stay in standard cabins. However, it also can be done in as few as four cruises if you stay in higher-level cabins and book using Latitudes Rewards Insider Offers.

Best elite perks

Once you reach the Sapphire level, you'll get all the above perks plus a dinner with ship officers and priority restaurant and entertainment seating (subject to availability). The latter is really a wonderful perk, as it means you won't be stuck dining too early or too late on nights when shipboard restaurants are busy (which is pretty much every night). It also means you can breeze into theaters for onboard shows with the knowledge that a decent seat is waiting for you.

Just added in early 2022, the Diamond tier brings two more cool perks, both new to the program: access to a complimentary Sail & Sustain Mixology experience and a one-time free cabin upgrade.

But the ultimate perk for Latitudes Rewards members comes upon reaching the top Ambassador tier. You'll get a one-time complimentary seven-night cruise in a balcony cabin. You can pick any destination, but you can't select a holiday sailing (Christmas and New Year's).

The free cruise is for two people. You can bring a third and fourth guest, but you'll pay their fares. You'll also pay all taxes, fees and service charges (including gratuities). You have one year to take your free cruise after hitting the Ambassador tier.

Sapphire, Diamond and Ambassador level members also get bigger discounts on shore excursions. For Sapphire and Diamond members, the discount on shore excursions amounts to 15%. It jumps to 20% for Ambassador level members.

Sapphire, Diamond and Ambassador level members also get bigger discounts on internet packages. For Sapphire members, the discount on internet service amounts to 20%. It rises to 25% for Diamond and Ambassador level members.

The Ambassador level, in particular, isn't easy to reach as it requires 700 points. That means you might have to take as many as 100 seven-night cruises to qualify. If you stay in higher-end cabins and book a lot of Latitudes Rewards Insider Offers, you could reach the Ambassadors level far more quickly — in as few as 34 seven-night sailings.

Do NCL Latitudes Rewards points expire?

No, Norwegian Cruise Line Latitudes Rewards points never expire.

As is often the case with cruise line loyalty programs, Norwegian customers do not have to requalify for status each year. Latitudes Rewards members keep their points at the end of each year and continue to accrue points indefinitely. That means that someone who hits Ambassador status will remain at that top-tier level forever (or until Norwegian makes a change to the program).

Such "forever status" is one of the great allures of cruise line frequent cruiser programs. Many airline frequent flyer programs, by contrast, require loyalty members to requalify for status each year.

Bottom line

Norwegian has one of the more alluring frequent cruiser programs. Even after just a few cruises, loyal fans will find they are entitled to a nice array of valuable perks, from discounts on various types of onboard spending to exclusive cocktail parties. We're particularly fans of the free dinners at extra-charge onboard eateries that come with Platinum-level status.

Booking airfare through NCL - no or go?

Greetings all!  Currently looking at booking a cruise for early 2022 and NCL has a special going on where the 2nd passenger flies free.  Being a little controlling on my own travel itinerary 😁 , I'm a little leery on the process and how NCL typically books it's passengers on airlines, hotels, etc. Certainly if issues arise, it's on NCL I would imagine. I understand I may be able to pay an additional fee and arrive in the port city the day before sailing?  How do the hotels work since NCL will handle transfers to/from the airport?  Are there any choices available to me as the passenger, of course for a fee, when it comes to airfare, hotel and transfers?

Anyone have experience with this? Am I being overly concerned?  Appreciate any and all feedback - thank you in advance!

In case you haven't already, read and understand the terms and conditions of the offer here:

Promotional Terms & Conditions | Norwegian Cruise Line (ncl.com)

NCL doesn't give you much flexibility to pick anything other than your desired dates of travel (per the conditions in the promotion) and your starting airport.  They pick the flight times and any connections.  You may get a very early morning flight or a late flight on your travel days.  You do not get to pick your airline or your seats.  Once NCL books your tickets and notifies you, you can then contact the airline and PERHAPS change seats, upgrade, etc. if that airline permits such things.  If they don't, then you are stuck with what NCL purchased for you.

It is a nice offer when you're open to being fully flexible in what NCL might set you up with.  However, if you're going to be miserable if you are stuck in middle seats for a return flight from Miami that doesn't leave until 6pm and have to make a connection somewhere rather than a direct flight, then you might consider just booking on your own.  That's just an example, of course.

Roll the dice or not.  Many people take advantage of the offer and have been very happy.  Some have a different opinion.

If you are looking at anything before early February, you are out of luck.  The bogo only applies to cruises booked more than 90 days in advance.

Read those terms again.

For extra cost, one can request a "deviation", wherein you can specify particular flights, etc.

You can request a date deviation with the bogo promo. They choose your flights.  Nowhere in the t&c does it say you can specify flights - and you can't.  Many have tried without success.

Sorry... apparently this offer doesn't include flight requests.

But it's worth asking.

We did it, but it was a few years ago.

After that, we always use awards and select all of our own air reservations.

We've decided that the hassle of any changes or delays or waiting for a bus to fill up before we could head to hotel (or airport) wasn't for us anymore.  Of course, if one IS able to select specific flights (again, apparently not with this offer), it's much less likely that there would be bus-loads of others with you.

And of course, for those who don't feel comfortable making all of the arrangements, or just don't want to bother, then having it all done for you is obviously an advantage.

You may ask to arrive several days before or after your cruise, but you can't choose your flight.  Once tickets are issued usually at the 45 day mark, you can contact the airline involved and choose seats and sometimes ask for an upgrade.   I have used NCL several times and have always been satisfied.  Pretty decent schedule, no complaints thus far.

I booked my cruise last year and got a reduced airfare promo.  I dont have control over the flights except I paid  a small flight deiviation fee to arrive 2 days early.  They arent booking the hotel for me only the flight.  I am taking care of the hotel and transportation to the port.  They will provide transportation from the ship back to the hotel.

I had no issues - requested two days prior and two days after cruise - it would have cost me nearly $600 per ticket to get from Orlando to LA this December yet we got the entire 7-day cruise Balcony cabin and all for around $2K - and $1200 would have been just the airfare.

We are on a 7am flight to LA and on a red-eye home both are direct on Delta, that works well for us as we can maximize our time in LA.... but even if we didn't we are saving $1200.

250+ Club

I asked my PCC about this yesterday, and for the cruise we want, she said flying in two or three days earlier is only possible if we also purchase their hotel and their transport, neither of which are appealing. (Also that doesn't appear to follow the promo terms as linked, which states hotel does not need to be included, but it also says you can request flights only 2 days before.)

We did the BOGO flights for our cruise a couple of weeks ago and it worked out very well. We were able to pick our seats through the Delta website  No regrets

You may of used this service that NCL also apparently offers…Premium Air.

https://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/premium-air

However, it is not the same service you get with the Free/Reduced airfare promotions that we’ve been seeing for the last year or so.

2 different service offerings.

I only took the two days early flight deviation and was fine getting Bogo without the hotel.

Thanks.  That could very well be how our "customized" air tickets were done.  It would fit.

So IF this is the same as the service we used through NCL (the air and cruise were billed together through NCL), it would indeed allow one to select specific flights on specific days.  We were able to get confirmation that we had the specific flights we wanted (a non-stop) *before* we were obligated to pay for the air tickets.

And, importantly, it did save money vs. what we'd have had to pay for those same tickets purchased at the same time.  However, the cancellation schedule then became what NCL states, which is not the same as if we had purchased directly from the airline.

Now, we've got lots of awards/points, and for premium international air travel, that's (for us; not necessarily others) the best use of awards by far.

We opted for NCL and totally expect a red-eye traveling from California to NYC, but at $100 pp each way, it couldn't be beat. I'll take a little inconvenience for the massive savings. However, we were limited to arriving 3 days early. There was no option to arrive earlier using NCL's cruise and hotel package.

used them before was able to pay $50 more to come in the day before

Sailing12Away

It all depends on where you're traveling to. For domestic travels we've always been told it's limited to 1 day pre and/or post. When we originally booked on a New Zealand cruise pre-Covid, we were told we could use 3 days pre/post to deviate from the sailing date. Never bothered to ask if that was based on arrival date or departure date as leaving NY it would take 3 days just to actually get to NZ, but we wanted more time post cruise anyway.

Do a mock booking on any travel site (kayak, expedia, google) and see what flight prices currently look at. Chances are NCL will have better pricing, but how much better and if it's worth giving up control is up to you. It's always worked in our favor so far, and we only had an issue once in the 4 times we've used it.

I took the BOGO offer because I’m not to fussed about control over flights as it’s only a 1.5 hour flight from Toronto to New York. I do want to arrive a day early but I’m not sure how the transportation from the airport to the hotel to the port will work. Do I have to book a certain hotel and will all transportation be covered in the fee that was already included?

If you fly in early, transportation is on your own.  You can remove the transfer fee or you can return to the airport on cruise day and get to the port on the NCL busses - you just have to give them a time.  Airport to hotel isn't included, although if you book your hotel through NCL they will probably arrange transportation.

Thanks to all for input!

It all depends on your threshold for pain.  You should assume that the BOGO flights you'll get are not the ones you'd prefer.  Friends got an OK flight into the port, later on the day before the cruise.  Their return is a red eye, so they have an entire day to kill.  It also has a 2.5 hour layover, so not ideal.  They're thinking about booking their own return as a result, so effectively losing the benefit of the good price.

The cruise ship has to do what is best for them to ensure you don't miss the ship or miss your flight home. So they get you in as early as possible, and send you home as late as possible.

If you've got a late flight, they usually offer some type of city tour excursion with airport drop off. Use the $50 excursion credit and do that to kill time, or find something else to do (depending on your port). In Miami we found an animal sanctuary to visit - took a cab there with our luggage, and they stored our suitcases in the front office for us while we visited with the animals. All I had to do was reach out to them ahead of time via email and ask. Then called for an Uber to the airport when we were done.

Just got the info for my December cruise and our flight home leaves at 7:05PM, even with excursions that is crazy late.  I am going to call and nicely ask if there is anything we can do.  My guess is no, but it is worth it to ask.  If not, we will actually not get back to the house until after midnight....I can drive it from the port in less time.  I wonder what a rental would cost me one way....

Check on the airlines site. Delta does no fee changes for sure (just pay the difference in flight cost if any). We used NCL air for our recent cruise out of LA and were able to change our departure time on the outbound leg for 10 bucks. Our return flights were surprisingly good with a direct flight leaving at 1PM.

4 hours ago, Sailing12Away said:  So they get you in as early as possible, and send you home as late as possible.

If only that were true.  I wish I would get later flights so I could take a post cruise excursion once in awhile!  I've started booking the excursions ahead of time so they'll look at later flights - fingers crossed it works.

Yes, they choose cheap when they can but It also depends on where you live, as well as the destination. Their policy is no more than 2 layovers which they will use to their benefit, not yours.  Works in my favor for those of us who fly from outlying areas, against those who fly from a major hub, in that I often get the available "direct" flight to the port.  But have to take a redeye to start.

Air Reservations

If you plan to fly to your embarkation port, you must decide whether to arrange airline tickets on your own or use the AIR/SEA program offered by the cruise line. Here are the main considerations to help you with your decision.

Advantages of Arranging Your Own Airline Tickets The main advantages of securing your own airline tickets are that you will be able to select the airline you fly and you will have control over the timing and routing of your flights. You may wish to fly a particular airline to use or earn frequent flyer miles, or because that carrier has nonstop service to your port city. If you arrange your own airline tickets you will have more control over these variables. If you utilize the cruise line's AIR/SEA program, you may be given an air schedule with an overnight flight, multiple connections or in some cases, a forced overnight stay at your expense. For these reasons, we recommend that you arrange your own airline tickets. Advantage of Using the AIR/SEA Program The main reason to book flights through the cruise line is the added protection you receive with your purchase. Unexpected events can affect travel plans. Flight delays or cancellations, changes in cruise ship arrival or departure times and cancellation of sailings altogether can force you to rebook for a later time or date or seek a refund for your air tickets. If you secure your air tickets through the cruise line, some lines will assist you in working with the airline to make alternate flight plans or apply for a refund.
