Trip Loop is the platform that helps you communicate and find your group with and without internet. You will find all the information you ‘need’ about your trip in one place. You choose with who you want to share your location with (or not share it all with incognito mode). All users / travelers can chat with their group and share pictures with them. You will always know where you need to go and how to get there, so you can stop being lost whenever you want. With Trip Loop, group administrators are able to coordinate and service their travelers within minutes. They can also automatically collect user feedback and know whenever a user checks-in into activities. In case the group faces a situation where the administration needs to know where the users are, the safety mode allows you to locate the GPS locations of users in order to better manage the situation. Each Trip Loop user has an offline range of 328 feet (100 mts), so 16 users can cover an area of 1 sq. mile and still be able to communicate texts via the Trip Loop feed, receive any itinerary updates and access offline maps to find your group and activities.

Kaliningrad, until 1946 known as Königsberg, is the largest city and administrative centre of Kaliningrad Oblast, a Russian exclave between Lithuania and Poland. The city sits about 663 kilometres west from mainland Russia. The city is situated on the Pregolya River, at the head of the Vistula Lagoon on the Baltic Sea, and is the only ice-free port of Russia and the Baltic states on the Baltic Sea. Its population in 2020 was 489,359, with up to 800,000 residents in the urban agglomeration. Kaliningrad is the second-largest city in the Northwestern Federal District, after Saint Petersburg, the third-largest city in the Baltic region, and the seventh-largest city on the Baltic Sea. Ayo Edebiri seems to be everywhere these days, and now she is traveling across time and space alongside Mary-Louise Parker in the first trailer for Magnolia Pictures' Omni Loop. The film, directed by Bernardo Britto, features a team-up between Edebiri and Parker as they work to discover the facets of time travel while trying to stop Parker's character from dying. The film is the latest in a long line of projects for Edebiri, who has become one of Hollywood's most in-demand stars.

The trailer shows off a quantum physicist, Zoya (Parker), who finds herself stuck in a time loop , with a black hole growing in her chest and only a week to live, according to a synopsis from Magnolia. When she meets a gifted student, Paula (Edebiri), they team up to save her life — and to unlock the mysteries of time travel. "I've done this before," Zoya is seen saying in the trailer. "Tomorrow night, I take a pill and I go back a week." She is seen to be able to tell the future down to knowing the number of fingers Paula is holding up and when her cat will meow.

While clearly a sci-fi comedy, Omni Loop also seems to have elements of drama as well. The film also stars Hannah Pearl Utt, Chris Witaske, Carlos Jacott, Harris Yulin, Steven Maier, and Eddie Cahill. It was directed by Britto from a self-written screenplay, and produced by David Hinojosa for 2AM, Patrick Donovan, and Ben Cohen.

'Omni Loop' Has Been Well-Received

The people that have seen Omni Loop so far seem to have liked it. The film currently has a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 11 reviews. The film had its world premiere at South by Southwest this past March. Collider's Chase Hutchinson said in his review that Omni Loop was a "more melancholic work of reflection that hits home when you least expect it to." He added of the film, "What proves to be the most unexpected, yet joyous part of the experience is how it brings into focus its greatest emotional beats right before it draws to a close," comparing it to the 2013 sci-fi dramedy About Time .

Both Parker and Edebiri have been keeping busy after filming Omni Loop. Parker was most recently heard in the animated film Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp, and will have a leading role in the upcoming television Stephen King series The Institute . Edebiri, best known for her breakout role in the FX series The Bear , will be seen in a pair of high-profile films: the horror flick Opus alongside John Malkovich, as well as the film After the Hunt alongside Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield.

The boat ride of a lifetime for Friendsville trio: 6,000 miles around half of America

One Friendsville couple, Debbie and Avalon Hawkins, and their navigator Tres Thompson, are back at home in Tennessee after spending the better part of two years completing America's Great Loop , a 6,000-mile circumnavigation of half of the United States and parts of Canada.

Avalon, 74, and Debbie, 71, are both retired, raised their children on Fort Loudoun Lake and had many years of experience on the water. Together, they dreamed for 30 years about attempting the Great Loop. Their longtime friend Thompson, 56, was their first choice for a navigator. He grew up on the water with an intense love of boating from a young age.

It didn't take much convincing to get him to join them on the adventure of a lifetime. "Any reason to get on a boat," he said.

Only about 150 yachts a year complete this trip, which is far fewer than the roughly 800 people who climb Mount Everest annually. The Hawkinses' Dream Catcher is now one of them.

How long did it take to complete America's Great Loop?

The Great Loop takes boaters to the Gulf of Mexico, around the tip of Florida and north and west along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, Great Lakes, New York and Canadian canals, and inland rivers.

The Hawkinses started out Nov. 6, 2022, from their own harbor on Fort Loudoun Lake, and made their way down to Apalachicola to cross the Gulf of Mexico to Tarpon Springs.

They steered the boat north along the East Coast on the intercostal waterway, up to Chesapeake Bay and into the Hudson River, all the way into Lake Erie. Their journey took them through the Great Lakes to Michigan.

They ended up leaving the boat in Michigan for the winter because they did not make it in time to cross the Illinois River.

The trio went back this past May to head back down the Illinois River, crossing through Kentucky and making it back to Tennessee in June.

Challenges and exciting sights encountered during the voyage

The trip offered several challenges, such a navigating through the dismal swamps and five-foot waves in the Great Lakes and one harrowing period of full fog and thunderstorms.

"One thing we don't want to see again, we did the (Gulf of Mexico) crossing, we left Apalachicola to Tarpon Springs at about two o'clock in the afternoon and we were supposed to have a bright full moonlit night. About two hours in we hit a fog bank, then the fog cleared after a few, and in came a thunderstorm with four-foot waves," Avalon Hawkins said.

Thompson said the most important thing for someone attempting the journey is to have a firm understanding of the equipment because, in some dicey situations, that will be the only thing that helps to avoid disaster.

"Never trust a full moon," Thompson joked.

They did the loop in a Meridian 459 power boat, which they bought after selling their houseboat. Now that they're home, they plan to do the reverse to get a houseboat back.

The cruiser was outfitted with a master bedroom, a guest bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a laundry area.

The voyage itself cost a considerable amount. Meridian 459 power boats can cost over a quarter of a million dollars, plus the fuel, food, lodging and docking, which cost roughly $50,000.

But some of the once-in-a-lifetime sights were priceless. They witnessed the launch of the Artemis I from Kennedy Space Center, and experienced different cultures across America.

“Groundhog Day,” but make it about an inescapable terminal illness. In writer/director Bernardo Britto’s “ Omni Loop ,” Mary-Louise Parker plays a quantum physicist who learns she has only a week to live. Except she learns that many times over, and as she says in the trailer, “This has happened before. Many times.” IndieWire shares the exclusive trailer for “Omni Loop,” which premiered at SXSW and will hit theaters from Magnolia this fall, below.

The cast also includes Hannah Pearl Utt, Chris Witaske, Carlos Jacott, Harris Yulin, Steven Maier, and Eddie Cahill.

At SXSW, Mary-Louise Parker was praised for carrying the heavier emotions of the movie as a woman faced with the totality of death. “Omni Loop” isn’t far from some of the “Weeds” star’s best stage work in that sense, from playing a mathematician struggling with mental illness in “Proof” or a terminally sick Ivy League professor who decides to take her own life in “The Sound Inside.” Except, of course, “Omni Loop” is also a sci-fi comedy, which means we have “The Bear” and “Bottoms” star Ayo Edebiri to help bring a comic lightness to the proceedings.

From IndieWire’s review out of SXSW : “Writer-director Bernardo Britto’s latest is one of those lo-fi sci-fi movies that weaves the impossible into the mundane texture of everyday life — which tracks with his previous work, which includes a tenure as a staff writer on  ‘Los Espookys ‘ and the 2016 mockumentary ‘Jacqueline Argentine.'”
