Meilleur concert de toute ma vie ! Originaire de Nantes, j'ai été agréablement surpris de l'hospitalité du Nord, qui s'est ressentie dans l'ambiance énormément chaleureuse de ce concert. Ce week end restera gravé dans ma mémoire, ainsi que mon court séjour dans la métropole lilloise, que je regrette déjà d'avoir quittée.

Indochine était merveilleux, en pleine forme, les écrans en ciel et les animations auxquelles nous eûmes droit etaient merveilleuses. Nicola était plein d’émotions et j’ai découvert les siennes, celles qu’il ressent lui lors de l’interpretation, ce qui fut très touchant !

Looks like a rhythm section went south. the worst Indochine concert I've been on - one of 7. Far cry from Alice and June tour, which IMHO was the best. And I was on it at Bercy twice, each time getting goose bumps during intro. This time no such experience, it's a shame. Does it come because of the new drums guy?

PRG delivers Colossal Tower for the Indochine Central Tour in France

For their 40th anniversary, the French band Indochine certainly didn’t do things by halves. Originally scheduled to take place in June 2021, the 45m high tower with a diameter of 30m has been in the works for 2 years. With 6 concerts on the agenda, the Indochine Central Tour performed in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille and closed with two concerts in Lille for their fans from Belgium to be able to come and sing along. Imagined and sketched by the singer and leader of the band Nicola Sirkis himself, the design of the system presented a particular challenge. The entire rigging construction and sound system had to be invisible whilst still providing the best audio experience for the audience in the stadium. This meant that all the speakers needed to be placed inside the tower, behind the massive 360° LED wall, a groundbreaking concept in event technology. Based on Nicola’s design, PRG France & PRG Projects worked tirelessly to make his dream a technical reality. Built in conjunction with StageCo, the tower was composed of specially manufactured Titan-X LED and PRG’s latest innovation of the SoundBlast Solution definitely is one for the books! “Nicola wanted to offer an unforgettable experience to all the fans. Building a 360° tower in the middle of the stadium with the audio and lighting inside would allow everyone to see better and be immersed in the pure musical performance and the artistic presence,” says Stéphane Desch, Director of Production. He adds, “He sent me multiple sketches of what he had imagined about two years ago and we started from that. In fact, the end result is very close to his original concept.”  While part of the PRG team started drawing up technical plans and diagrams of the tower, PRG Projects started developing and manufacturing an LED product that would make this endeavor possible. In response to Nicola Sirkis' vision, the 360° tower would need to be fitted with a customized LED screen, specifically developed and manufactured for the Indochine Central Tour, providing a solution that integrated the entire sound system, lighting and all of the cabling within the tower behind the LED screen, to be as streamlined as imagined.  “When we saw Nicola's first drawings, we immediately saw that there were some challenges. Firstly, we had to find a solution to place the sound behind the video screen and there was no solution to that at the time. Secondly, it was the height of the screen. The height of the screen meant that we had to create a new, very light product that had all the features of the PRG SpaceframeTM, including wind bracing, built into it,” says Frederic Opsomer, General Manager of PRG Projects. “At the same time, we needed a product with a transparency of over 70% to allow the sound to penetrate from the back of the screen into the stadium. This meant that we needed to develop a new product.” INFiLED and PRG worked together closely to develop the TITAN-X. From the first drawing to a 1850m2 setup for the Indochine Central Tour, the collaboration and the combination of the PRGs know-how and INFILEDs agile developing capability has played a major role. R&D teams from Belgium, the UK and China worked tirelessly during more than 9 months on this project and created the ultimate, robust, mesh rental & touring solution with the foldable X-frame structure for a new level of stability. We’re delighted to have collaborated with such a long-term and strong partner like PRG on this impressive project!”, stipulates Michael Hao, CEO at INFILED. The next challenge was to install the complete sound system behind the LED wall. This would allow for the images on the tower, fitted with 360° LED, to be enjoyed to their fullest, without any audio stacks obstructing the video content. PRG Projects carried out numerous tests with several audio manufacturers and developed the SoundBlast Solution which uses the weight of the audio as a ballast behind the LED screen to support the weight and structure of the LED installation.   “The Titan-X and the PRG SoundBlast Solution will allow us to take a step forward in the development of large videos and video content design because being able to place the sound behind the video screen has been the dream of all designers!” adds Opsomer. Standing at 45m tall, the Indochine Tower was fitted with 2500 m2 of Titan-X, creating a video wall that was 30m in diameter and 24m high. This gigantic construction in its whole  takes about 3 days to assemble and weighs 260 tons. The LED setup weighs 65t and takes 16h to be installed. With its 26, 542, 080 pixels (9216 x 2880) the images on the Titan-X as well as on the central screen in ROE CB5 below, were processed by 7 disguise GX2 servers. PRG's Technical Director, Romuald Beaufour, who drew up the plans and initial diagrams of the tower comments: "The installation of our Titan-X in stadiums was sometimes complex because the tower protruded from certain stadiums (in height) which posed problems for the municipalities. In order to comply with the relevant legislations, the tower had to withstand a 72km/h wind speed for 3 seconds.” The lighting kit was made of 1360 lighting fixtures, including LED Striplights and Floods, MAC Viper Wash, Movinghead Impressions X4, LITECRAFT OutLED AT10.plus, ELATION Proteus Smarty Hybrid IP65, and last but not least, 8 PRG GroundControl Longthrow Followspots. Lighting Designer Jean Christophe Aubrée describes: “There were a lot of challenges in terms of lighting, which is mainly due to the 360° configuration of the tower. The idea was to be able to create some volume in all of this and to use the surfaces, the seats, and the structures of the stadium a little differently. We positioned lighting all directions, from both inside and outside of the tower. We also had to carefully consider the size and weight of our fixtures, since they all had to fit into the tower. Working with a 3D model allowed us to visualise the project more effectively, since sometimes you tend to lose the feeling of distance and dimensions a little.”   In total, 250 technicians were mobilised for the entire Indochine tour and more than 950 shift workers were hired. The PRG touring crew represented 9 different nationalities. “Whether it was PRG Belgium, PRG Projects or PRG France: everyone got involved in this beautiful project. Everyone did a great job. We brought people together from all over the world to grow this team for the tour. It was wonderful to see the synergies and sharing of know-how. But the success of this adventure is also a choice of companies with whom we collaborated. Everyone contributed to this. Whether it's StageCo for the structure or MPM for the sound, this all is a big part of the success of the adventure!” finalizes Laurent Boillot, Production Director, PRG France. During the concert on June 25, 2022 at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, 22 digital cameras recorded the show, allowing Indochine to offer a retransmission of the concert from November 24th, 2022 in IMAX cinemas, the world's first live concert filmed in its entirety for IMAX.

First-ever filmed for imax concert, "indochine central tour in cinema", scores $2.23 million across france and select markets.

Iconic French rock band INDOCHINE brings 128,296 viewers to enjoy the   film of their concert CENTRAL TOUR in theaters

PATHE LIVE brought French pop-rock band INDOCHINE to IMAX screens last week. After IMAX exclusive previews on Wednesday 23 rd November, CENTRAL TOUR - the first recorded music event to be released through the Filmed for IMAX program – topped the French box office in wide release on Thursday, November 24 (surpassing Disney /Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on that day). Continuing with IMAX-exclusive encores throughout the weekend, the concert film was also the top new opener this past weekend in the market.

The film was screened nationwide for one night only on Thursday, November 24 in 477 cinemas (the widest ever release for an event cinema program), including 16 IMAX screens. Previews were held the night before at those 16 IMAX screens, which then continued for 5 days of exclusive encore screenings.

An additional 10 IMAX locations also screened the film exclusively abroad in Belgium , Switzerland , and the cities of London , Berlin , Amsterdam , and Melbourne .

Overall, representing only 5% of all participating locations, the 26 IMAX locations welcomed 21,711 fans (17% of the 128,296 total) and delivered 22% of the total GBO with $482,000 .

Two additional screenings are scheduled for the Scotiabank Theatre in Montréal on December 11 and December 12 .

Shot at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, France in June 2022 , the CENTRAL TOUR was captured with 22 IMAX certified digital cameras and the spectacular live show featured a 147 feet high (45 meters) central tower and the specially designed biggest led screen ever used in a live concert (27,000 sq ft / 1,400 led panels). It is the first concert in the world to be captured live and to be released in cinema through the Filmed for IMAX camera program.

Santana cancels Phoenix and other concerts: What we know

Carlos Santana has canceled several concert dates, including his Monday, Sept. 2, Footprint Center concert in downtown Phoenix for medical reasons.

Team Santana shared the news on social media.

"As many of you are already aware, Carlos has been dealing with a back issue that will soon be treated with a corrective procedure," a post on Facebook reads . "Due to this medical procedure, the September 2 show in Phoenix at Footprint Center, September 4 show in Albuquerque at Isleta Amphitheater, and September & October 2 - 6 shows at House of Blues Las Vegas will be cancelled."

The post goes to say, "We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding."

What's next for Santana & Counting Crows tour 2024

Shows scheduled for Aug. 27 in Mountain View, California; Aug. 28 in Los Angeles, Aug. 30 in San Diego; and Aug. 31 at Fool in Love Festival will proceed as planned.

The canceled dates were part of the 2024 Oneness Tour with Counting Crows , which finds the guitar-playing bandleader celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of rock's most legendary comeback drives with "Supernatural."

The Facebook post ended on an optimistic note: "Carlos would like all of his fans to know that he is looking forward to seeing everyone post procedure at the House of Blues in Las Vegas starting on October 30th."

Earth, Wind & Fire with Chicago in Phoenix: Footprint Center concert guide

Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago bring their co-headlining Heart & Soul Tour to downtown Phoenix on Thursday, Aug. 29 for a night at Footprint Center.

The Live Nation-produced, 30-city tour will feature epic sets from each act, culminating in an encore performance with both bands on stage together.

In making a case for Chicago's 2016 induction on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame website,  Rob Bowman writes , “Chicago stands as one of America’s most successful rock bands of any epoch in terms of both sales and longevity," going on to note, "The statistics are simply staggering,” which they are.

Fellow Hall of Famers Earth, Wind & Fire, who were  enshrined in 2000 , took funk to the masses with such consistency and soul that "The Rolling Stone Album Guide" suggests, "It could be argued that 'The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire' portrays the best singles band of the '70," which they were.

Can I bring water or food to Footprint Center?

No outside food, beverages, coolers, bottles or cans may be brought into Footprint Center, although one sealed plastic water bottle is allowed per guest for Suns, Mercury and Rattlers games. Sealed water bottles may be prohibited for select concerts. 

Children's items such as baby bottles and formula will be allowed.

Is Footprint Center air-conditioned?

According to its website, Footprint Center "maintains certain temperatures during all events." These temperatures are determined event by event.

Footprint Center bag policy: Can you bring a purse or backpack?

Standard backpacks are not permitted inside Footprint Center. 

Single-compartment drawstring bags, purses and diaper bags that have the appearance of a standard backpack and media backpacks are allowed as long as they meet the NBA bag-size requirements of 14 by 14 by 6 inches.

Guests with bags larger than 4 inches by 6 inches are required to be screened through X-ray machines. Guests with no bags or clutches smaller than 4 inches by 6 inches can use Evolv express entry lanes for quickest entry. 

What is prohibited at Footprint Center for concerts?

The following items are not allowed inside Footprint Center for concerts:

• Backpacks (with the exception of single-compartment drawstring bags that meet the NBA bag-size requirements and media backpacks that have been screened at the media entrance. Purses and diaper bags are allowed provided that they meet the size requirements.
• Bottles, cans and coolers.
•  Video and recording devices including Go Pros & Google glasses.
• Illegal substances.
• Laser pointers.
• Outside food and beverages.
• Whistles, horns or other noise makers.
• Weapons of any kind (no knives or mace/pepper spray of any size).
• Computers and laptops. 
• Halloween-style may not to be worn upon entry and in concourses but will be permitted when guest is in seats.
• Selfie sticks.
• Offensive clothing or masks.

Footprint Center reserves the right to amend the above list without notice.

Can I bring a sign or banner?

Banners and signs are allowed at Footprint Center; they must be constructed of flame-retardant material. Signs must be made of a soft material that can be folded (e.g. poster board or cloth). Banners or signs may not be commercial in nature or obscene, or cause any disturbance to other fans.

Banners and signs must be hand-held and may not obstruct the view of other guests or Footprint Center advertising signage or be temporarily or permanently affixed to the building structure. Footprint Center reserves the right to remove any banner or sign. Signs should not be larger than 11 by 17 inches. 

Footprint Center is a cashless venue

Cash is not accepted at Footprint Center. Use Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover during your visit.

You can convert cash onto a preloaded Mastercard by visiting one of the venue's reverse ATMs near the Ticket Office or Section 218.

Footprint Center smoking policy

Footprint Center is a smoke-free facility with no designated smoking area outside. Smoking of all kinds including e-cigarettes is prohibited. Guests who fail to comply will be asked to cease smoking. Those continuing to violate the policy will be ejected, so you do not want to take it to that limit.

Footprint Center reentry policy

Reentry is not available for any games, concerts, or events at Footprint Center.

Footprint Center lost and found

Contact a Footprint Center staff member for assistance. Found items may be turned in to the Guest Services Office. Guests may also call the Footprint Center Security Department at 602-379-2055.

First aid at Footprint Center concerts

In the event of an emergency, notify any Footprint Center representative or uniformed police officer to ensure that emergency personnel are notified.

Paramedics and EMTs are present during all events at Footprint Center. First aid is lon the main concourse across from Section 116.

Footprint Center has more than 700 parking spaces, including parking for guests with disabilities. Parking prices vary by event. Call the Footprint Center Parking Office at 602-379-2003 for specific information.

Footprint Center is at 201 E. Jefferson St. in downtown Phoenix.

If you're coming from north Phoenix/Scottsdale:

Take State Route 51 south to Interstate 10 East interchange. Exit I-10 at Washington/Jefferson Street. Turn right on Washington Street to Third Street. Turn left on Third Street to the Footprint Center.

If you're coming from west/southwest Phoenix:

Take Interstate 10 East to Seventh Avenue exit. Turn right on Seventh Avenue to Jefferson Street. Turn left on Jefferson Street to First Street. Footprint Center is on the corner of Jefferson Street and 1st Street.

If you're coming from east Phoenix :

Take Loop 202 west to I-10 west. Take I-10 west to Seventh Street exit. Turn left on Seventh Street to Washington Street. Turn right on Washington Street to Third Street. Turn left on Third Street to the Footprint Center.

If you're coming from northwest Phoenix/ Glendale:

Take Interstate 17 south to Jefferson Street. Turn left on Jefferson Street to First Street. Footprint is on the corner of Jefferson Street and First Street.

If you're coming from the East Valley :

Take I-10 west to Washington/Jefferson Street. Turn left on Washington Street to Third Street. Turn left on Third Street to the Footprint Center.

Valley Metro light rail to Footprint Center

In partnership with Valley Metro light rail, Footprint Center and the Phoenix Suns have established the Rail Ride Event program, which allows guests who purchase a ticket to an event at Footprint Center to ride Valley Metro light rail at no additional cost on the day of the event.

Valley Metro will recognize Footprint Center event tickets as valid light rail fare on the day of the event for four hours prior to the start of the event through the end of the transit day.

Two important things to know:

• You must have your event ticket on your person when riding the light rail and must show your ticket to a fare inspector upon request. Failure to show a valid ticket can result in fines ranging from $50 to $500.
• Footprint Center event tickets are good for light rail only; they are not valid as bus fare.

Is park and ride available?

There are four recommended pickup/dropoff spots for ride shares: First and Jefferson Streets (Footprint Center Plaza); Second Street (The Ryan); Third Street (Phoenix Convention Center) and Jefferson Street (Hotel Palomar/Arrogant Butcher).

Feuding Oasis brothers say they'll reunite for concerts in 2025

LONDON — Oasis, the Britpop band known for timeless hits like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” is reuniting for a tour of the British Isles next summer, ending a 15-year hiatus and, presumably, the long-held feud between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher.

The guitar band will play 14 dates in Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland next July and August, Oasis said on Tuesday. Tickets go on sale Saturday.

“This is it. This is happening,” the band said.

Oasis split in 2009 after many years of infighting, with Noel Gallagher officially leaving the band just before a performance at a festival near Paris. Even before the dissolution, the brothers had long had an antagonistic relationship and reportedly did not speak to each other for years after the breakup.

“People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer,” Noel Gallagher, the band’s guitarist and songwriter, wrote in a statement at the time.

While the Gallagher brothers haven’t performed together since, both regularly perform Oasis songs at their solo gigs. They’ve also each fired off criticisms of the other in the press.

Noel Gallagher accused his younger brother of having a hangover that forced them to cancel a 2009 concert. The frontman disputed the accusation and sued, later dropping the lawsuit.

But now the brothers are preparing to reunite, with the band saying fans would experience “the spark and intensity” that occurs only when they appear on stage together.

The tour will begin July 4 and 5 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Oasis will also perform at Heaton Park in Manchester, England, on July 11, 12, 19 and 20; Wembley Stadium in London on July 25 and 26 and Aug. 2 and 3; Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Aug. 8 and 9; and Croke Park in Dublin on Aug. 16 and 17.

The band alluded to past tensions in the tour announcement.

“The guns have fallen silent,” Oasis said. “The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

In 2011, Noel Gallagher told The Associated Press in an interview that he left the band after an incident where Liam Gallagher started wielding a guitar “like an axe ... and he’s swinging this guitar around and he kind of, you know, he took my face off with it, you know?”

In 2019, Liam Gallagher told the AP he was ready to reconcile.

“The most important thing is about me and him being brothers,” he said. “He thinks I’m desperate to get the band back together for money. But I didn’t join the band to make money. I joined the band to have fun and to see the world.

“I don’t know what his problem is,” he continued. “I think he just wanted to go away and do his solo career, get all the coin and be surrounded by all the yes men you can fire and hire whenever he wants. You can’t do that with me.”

With the announcement, the Britpop progenitors ended a few days of fan speculation. A short video on the band’s social media accounts Sunday night had revealed the date “27.08.24,” and time “8 a.m.,” written in the same font as the well-known Oasis logo. The brothers shared the same to their individual accounts.

Of course, fans have long theorized a reunion might be on the horizon: In the wake of the 2017 bombing that killed 22 at an Ariana Grande concert in Oasis’ hometown of Manchester, Liam Gallagher performed at a benefit concert and criticized his brother’s absence, but a spokesperson said Noel Gallagher couldn’t attend because of a longstanding family trip. Benefit organizers said Noel Gallagher approved the use of Oasis’ music and donated royalties from “Don’t Look Back In Anger” to the British Red Cross’ One Love Manchester fund.

Later that year, Liam Gallagher tweeted at his brother, leading some to believe they made up: “I wanna say Happy Xmas to team NG it’s been a great year thanks for everything looking forward to seeing you tomorrow AS YOU WERE LG x”

Prior to Tuesday’s announcement, Oasis was already teed up to release a new collection, “Definitely Maybe — Deluxe 30th Anniversary Editions,” celebrating the anniversary of their debut album.

Rumors of a potential reunion were amplified this past weekend when Liam Gallagher responded on social media to unconfirmed reports of the band playing London’s Wembley Stadium and Manchester’s Heaton Park. When one social media user criticized Heaton Park, the Manchester native wrote, “See you down the front,” calling the user a vulgarity. In another stand-alone post on X, he teased, “I never did like that word FORMER.”

He also responded to several negative tweets about the potential reunion with “Your attitude sucks” and “SHUTUP.” Noel Gallagher, on the other hand, remained silent other than posting the teasers.

Britpop band Oasis announce reunion tour with Liam and Noel Gallagher to perform concerts in UK and Ireland

Dust off your bucket hats and khaki parkas, the rumours are true.

Legendary rockers Oasis will reunite next year for concerts in the UK and Ireland.

On Tuesday, the Britpop band built around notoriously belligerent brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher announced 14 concerts starting in Cardiff, Wales on July 4 and ending in Dublin, Ireland on August 17.

“This is it, this is happening,” Noel said in an online video package of onstage highlights from their 90s heyday.

“We made people feel something that was indefinable,” the songwriter and guitarist’s voice said over footage of massive stadium crowds at Oasis concerts.

The hugely anticipated announcement came two days before the 30th anniversary of the release of Oasis’ classic debut album, Definitely Maybe, home to the hit singles Supersonic, Cigarettes & Alcohol and Live Forever.

The news also arrived one day short of 15 years since Noel quit Oasis following a fight with Liam minutes before they were due on stage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

The elder Gallagher brother declared that the band “does not exist anymore”, bringing the Dig Out Your Soul Tour to a premature end with two more shows to play.

The squabbling sibling have apparently found a reported 50 million reasons to let bygones be bygones.

Fifty million reasons? Sorry, 50 million pounds – estimated to be the amount that each brother will make from the reunion shows.

Tickets go on sale August 31 at 4pm Perth time, when Qantas should brace itself for a deluge of bookings from Joondalup and Butler as well as Rockingham and Mandurah.
