This summer, U2 are honoring the 30th anniversary of their 1987 blockbuster The Joshua Tree with a world tour where they're performing the album in its entirety. We've created this page to track how their set lists evolve from night-to-night.

We'll be updating this page with each change to note which older songs they've chosen to bring out, and how much of the forthcoming Songs of Experience they're previewing. The first night , at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, closed with the world premiere of " The Little Things That You Give Away ." And we’ll include videos under each set list so you can see and hear the results. Check it all out below.

July 1: Cleveland, OH

In Foxborough, Mass., U2 closed with their new song, "The Little Things That Give You Away" for the first time since June 7 in Pittsburgh.

U2 Pays Tribute to Leonard Cohen

While performing "Bad" in Toronto, U2 honored one of that city's most famous musical sons, Leonard Cohen , who passed away last year. Bono introduced the song by saying, “Tonight we hold onto some things, as you let go of others. I’m not quite sure how to let it go, but I know tonight I’m holding onto the music of Leonard Cohen, thinking about it today. It’s been on my mind. He’s an addiction I’m not ready to give up, so I’m going to sing this one to Leonard Cohen.”

During the breakdown, he added, ”Just think. Think of Leonard. He called us friends. Really, we were just fans. That was okay by me. A fan of Leonard Cohen. Stay with me. That’s beautiful. Stars coming out for Leonard. Different part of the country, but you know he loved this city. Stay with me now. I want to try something.”

He then sang "Suzanne" as the audience held up their phones, and referenced another Cohen song by saying "Hallelujah." NME said that Bono later told the story of when he spoke to Cohen on his 80th birthday. "I asked him, ‘Leonard, what do you want to do on your 80th? Have you made any plans?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, I want to smoke a cigarette.’ [I said] ‘But you’d given up cigarettes for 27 years,’ [and he said] ‘I’m just going to have one.’ We could all be so lucky to live a life like that.”

June 23: Toronto, Ont.

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “Bad” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / “Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “ Vertigo ” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / " I Will Follow "

"I Will Follow" resurfaced as the closing number for the first time since June 3. But they didn't jettison "Vertigo." Instead, they moved it to the middle of the encore.

June 20: Landover, MD

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “Bad” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / “Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “ Ultraviolet (Light My Way) ” / “One” / “Vertigo”

After a night off, "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)" was back in the set for their concert at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., just outside Washington, D.C.

June 18: Philadelphia, PA

"Sunday Bloody Sunday" / "New Year's Day" / "Bad" / "Pride (In the Name of Love)" / "Where the Streets Have No Name" / "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" / "With or Without You" / "Bullet the Blue Sky" / "Running to Stand Still" / "Red Hill Mining Town" / "In God's Country" / "Trip Through Your Wires" / "One Tree Hill" / "Exit" / "Mothers of the Disappeared" / "Miss Sarajevo" / "Mysterious Ways" / "One" / "Beautiful Day" / "Elevation" / "Vertigo"

The Achtung Baby deep cut "Ultraviolet" was replaced with one of U2's better-known '90s-era songs, the Top 10 hit "Mysterious Ways."

June 16: Louisville, KY

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “Bad” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / “Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “Vertigo”

U2 played the same setlist as the previous two dates.

June 14: Tampa, FL

For only the second time on this tour, U2 played the same set as the previous concert.

June 11: Miami, FL

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / " Bad " / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / “Mothers of the Disappeared” / " Miss Sarajevo " / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / "Vertigo"

U2 were back to a full-length show after Bonnaroo, which meant that "Bad" and "Miss Sarajevo" returned to the set list. After getting a debut on Friday, "Vertigo" served as the closer.

U2 Sings "Under the Bridge" During "Beautiful Day"

Bono's habit of throwing in bits of other people's songs during his own reached peak early-'90s California at Bonnaroo. During the bridge of "Beautiful Day," he added the chorus from the Red Hot Chili Peppers ' "Under the Bridge."

June 9: Manchester, TN

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / “Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / " Vertigo " / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One”

Probably because of the festival setting, U2's performance at Bonnaroo was a few songs shorter than usual. "Bad" was cut from the opening, as was the typical closer of either "I WIll Follow" or "The Little Things That Give You Away." But the biggest change was in the encore, where "Miss Sarajevo" was axed in favor of "Vertigo," which made its tour debut.

June 7: Pittsburgh, PA

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “ Bad ” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / “Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “Happy Birthday” / “The Little Things That You Give Away”

"After being given a night off in Chicago, "Bad" returned. As did "Happy Birthday," which was sung to the person who built their stage.

June 4: Chicago, IL

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “ A Sort of Homecoming ” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / “Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “One” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / " Three Little Birds " / “ The Little Things That You Give Away ”

For their second night in Chicago, "A Sort of Homecoming" was played for the first time since May 20, and "Bad" was left off the set list. Once again, they switched around the order of the encores, and sang a bit of Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" before closing with "The Little Things That You Give Away”

June 3: Chicago, IL

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “Bad” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / “Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / " Happy Birthday " / “I Will Follow“

U2 went back to coming out of the Joshua Tree segment with "Beautiful Day" and "Elevation." Prior to closing with "I Will Follow," they sang "Happy Birthday" to the founder of Island Records, Chris Blackwell, who was in attendance.

May 26: Arlington, TX

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / " Bad " / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / "Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “ Ultraviolet (Light My Way) ” / “ One ” / “ Beautiful Day ” / “ Elevation ” / " I Will Follow "

In Dallas, "Bad" returned to early portion of the show, but the encores again contained a minor change. “Beautiful Day” and “Elevation” have been moved to the second encore, with “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” and “One” moving to the first. With "I Will Follow" as the closer, this made for a more up-tempo way to end the concert than previous nights.

May 24: Houston, TX

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still”  / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” (dedicated to Chris Cornell) / “Exit” / "Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Miss Sarajevo” / "Bad" / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / “The Little Things That Give You Away"

For the first time on the tour, U2 played the exact same set as the previous concert.

May 21: Pasadena, CA

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still”  / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” (dedicated to Chris Cornell) / “Exit” / "Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Miss Sarajevo” / "Bad" / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / “ The Little Things That Give You Away "

U2 continue to make minor tweaks to the set list. For their second show at the Rose Bowl, they went into the Joshua Tree performance after only three songs, removing "A Sort of Homecoming" entirely. The band dedicated another number to Chris Cornell, "One Tree Hill." They also changed up the order of the encores and brought back the new song "The Little Things That Give You Away" as the closing number.

May 20: Pasadena, CA

"Black Hole Sun" (by Soundgarden, on the P.A. prior to U2's performance) “Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “A Sort of Homecoming” / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” (dedicated to Chris Cornell) / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / "Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / “Miss Sarajevo” / "Bad" / “I Will Follow"

U2 paid tribute to Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell in two ways at their first concert following his death - first by playing Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" prior to their show, and then by dedicating an especially heartfelt reading of "Running to Stand Still" to his memory. The band also moved up the Joshua Tree  portion of the show, moving "Bad" to the encore.

May 17: Santa Clara, CA

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “A Sort of Homecoming” / "Bad" / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / "Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “The Little Things That You Give Away”

After making its debut in the previous show, U2 removed "I Will Follow" as the closing song. However, they kept "Bad" in the fourth slot.

May 14: Seattle, WA

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “A Sort of Homecoming” / " Bad " / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / "Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “The Little Things That You Give Away” / " I Will Follow "

For the second night of the tour, they replaced "MLK" with "Bad" and added "I Will Follow" as the closing song. For "Mothers of the Disappeared," the last song of the Joshua Tree portion, they were joined by Mumford and Sons , who are the tour's opening act, and Eddie Vedder .

May 12: Vancouver, BC

“Sunday Bloody Sunday” / “New Year’s Day” / “A Sort of Homecoming” / "MLK" / “Pride (In the Name of Love)” / “Where the Streets Have No Name” / “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” / “With or Without You” / “Bullet the Blue Sky” / “Running to Stand Still” / “Red Hill Mining Town” / “In God’s Country” / “Trip Through Your Wires” / “One Tree Hill” / “Exit” / "Mothers of the Disappeared” / “Beautiful Day” / “Elevation” / “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” / “One” / “Miss Sarajevo” / “The Little Things That You Give Away”

Before going into the album, U2 opened with five songs, including three of their biggest hits from the pre-Joshua Tree days. Afterwards, they closed out the main set with two cuts from All That You Can't Leave Behind and two from Achtung Baby . The encore consisted of "Miss Sarajevo" from their Passengers side project and the debut of "The Little Things That You Give Away."

U2’s The Joshua Tree Tour Set List

U2’s climb since the beginning of the ’80s was a steady one, but 1987’s The Joshua Tree catapulted them from mere superstardom into the pantheon. After years of hearing how his stage presence was magnetic and borderline messianic, Bono dropped any pretense that this was anything but his sole intention. These were open-air songs built to be played for 70,000 people at a time. Lucky for them, it just so happened that’s how big their audiences were at this point. In a 2017 interview with Zane Lowe, Bono described what made the tour’s opening song, “Where the Streets Have No Name,” so majestic. “What’s powerful about it is that it’s an invocation where you say to a crowd of people, whether there’s a hundred or a hundred thousand, ‘Do you want to go to that place?’” he said. “‘The place of imagination, the place of soul, do you want to go there?’ And when you say that, the hairs go up on the back of my neck. Because you’re going.” While the sets featured all the songs from The Joshua Tree at one point or another, the band used their moment to introduce newcomers to deep cuts like “Trash, Trampoline, and the Party Girl” and the immortal “Out of Control,” along with a steady smattering of classic-rock covers that fit the cycle’s America-f**k-yeah vibe. Nearly a decade after they started making intimate clubs feel like football stadiums, they were now making football stadiums feel like intimate clubs.

The Joshua Tree Tour 2017

Wide Awake In Minneapolis When & Where Friday, September 8th 2017, US Bank Stadium, Minneapolis; the 35rd show of the #U2TheJoshuaTree2017  Set List 'I wanna take shelter, from the hurricane, where the streets have no name' It was a high-spirited night Friday in the Twin Cities, where the band and the audience exchanged a kind of contagious (and defiant) joy from the first drum beats of 'Sunday Bloody Sunday', through the 'The Joshua Tree' album,  to 'One', which closed the six-song encore with a few lines of Prince's 'Purple Rain.' Bono dedicated the show to 'the memory eternal of Prince Rogers Nelson',  Minneapolis' favorite son who passed away in April 2016. There were echoes of the Purple One's musical legacy elsewhere in the third act, with snippets of 'The Most Beautiful Girl in the World' in the encore opener 'Beautiful Day' and 'Let's Go Crazy' in 'Vertigo.' And for those of you keeping score at home: 'Happy Birthday' made its fifth appearance on The Joshua Tree 2017 tour, when the band serenaded longtime collaborator, show designer and creative director Willie Williams.

Social Posts @U2Nurse: 'Thrilled to see a diverse age range here at #U2JoshuaTreeTour2017MN. Oldsters hipsters families and kids. Whew...I love this band. They remind me to feel, even tho sometimes it's a lot.'

@larsleafblad: '10 years old when this album came out. 10 year old like joy coming out listening to this concert. #u2minneapolis #U2TheJoshuaTree2017 If You Had To Pick One Song  'With or Without You' 'Through the storm, we reach the shore/You gave it all but I want more/And I'm waiting for you' @michelle_my_belle22: 'Show me someone who doesn't think of their first love when they hear this song, and I'll show you a liar. #U2 #thejoshuatree2017 #withorwithoutyou #Minneapolis' Whenever Heidi and Andy Chamberlain hear 'WOWY' in the years to come, they'll be thinking of their wedding day and how Bono congratulated them in a shout-out from the stage in front of 50,000 people. 'I was congratulating the Chamberlains because today in the GA queue Heidi and Andrew got married right here. And interestingly—I thought it was pretty cool—Andrew took Heidi's name: Chamberlain. Oh yeah.' 'I didn't think today could be any better and then, of course, Bono finds a way to take it over the top,' the newly-minted Mr. Chamberlain (formerly known as Andrew Johnson) said when we tracked the happy couple down after the show late Friday. 'I was just as surprised to get a shout out at the same concert as Prince!' added the bride. The Chamberlains, both realtors in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, got engaged last Christmas. When they began discussing wedding plans, the conversation gravitated toward U2, said Heidi, 43, a lifelong fan who has seen each tour since 1992. 'Every time I see them, it feels like I'm in church—it's so spiritual,' she said. 'Wouldn't it be cool to have the concert as our wedding night?'  Heidi and Andy decided they would marry in the church of U2 when the band next played Minnesota. 'We thought we'd have to wait five years for the next tour,” Heidi said. But then the dates for the second North American leg of the Joshua Tree Tour were announced in June and Minneapolis was on the list. 'Andy said, 'We're getting married in three months, aren't we?' They asked their friend to officiate, and quickly pulled together plans for a simple, music-drenched ceremony that would conclude just before GA ticket holders were to begin queuing for the show Friday afternoon. The nuptials opened with 'When Love Comes To Town' and included 'In A Little While,' 'Hallelujah Here She Comes,' 'Ordinary Love,' 'Satellite of Love,' 'Every Breaking Wave,' 'Yahweh,' '40', and the band's new single (Bono's love song about his missus) 'You're The Best Thing About Me.'  As soon as they were lawfully wed, the Chamberlains joined the GA line and celebrated by sharing dozens of (wedding) cake-flavored Oreo cookies with their queue. News of the 'GA wedding' began to spread through the venue; photos were posted on Twitter, and eventually word reached he lead vocalist himself. A few hours later, Bono's shout-out from the stage caught the newlyweds by surprise. 'I heard him say 'Take us to church. The church of the Chamberlains—newly minted.  (during 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For') and I thought it was just a coincidence,' Andy, 37, said. 'And then when he confirmed that he was talking about us it blew me away….It was the most amazing night of our lives!'  And that, music fans, is how you get U2 to play your wedding reception.

What (else) did Bono Say? Bono dedicated 'One Tree Hill' to Gavin Friday's mother, Annie Hanvey, who passed away Friday in Ireland, saying: 'Tonight we carry in our hearts our friend and comrade Gavin Friday, one of the creative visionaries behind these tours we do. Gavin has just said goodbye for the last time to his mother, Annie Hanvey. Annie was a neighbour of ours growing up, and as well as being our neighbour she was always an heroic character, encouraging our best mate Gavin to be all the people he wanted to be.' Before the band launched into 'Ultraviolet', Bono talked about how 'incredible women' was a theme now. 'Our partners, our daughters, our mothers, our elected representatives on both sides. Women. We want more women in the political process, is that not right? Men are fucking things up.' Two local Minnesota 'she-roes' were featured Friday among the 'luminous icons' of the HERSTORY installation: Former Minneapolis Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton, and Mary Jo Copeland, founder of Sharing and Caring Hands, an organization that works amongst Minneapolis' impoverished communities.

In his introduction to 'One,' Bono echoed something he'd told Jimmy Fallon the night before when the band performed on 'The Tonight Show': 'This country is not just a country, it's an idea. That's why the whole world has a stake in this idea working out. We love the idea of America. It's still being born this idea…. Allow us to kiss your ass this evening, to say thank you this evening. Thank you, America. …There is nothing you can't do. When you work together.  As one.'

Review on U2.com  Nejnej09: Amazing. What an amazing performance! Absolutely love this band and everything they stand for and it was an outstanding performance. When they finished the Joshua tree and came back out and did not just a couple of songs but 5 more (note- all you people that left at that point, you really missed out)' Were you at the show at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis? Tell us all about it.  Add your own review and photos below.

The band's multimedia reimagining of The Joshua Tree is magnificent. Still, I wondered whether Vasco, watching through his 2017-era 17-year-old lens, would find it similarly compelling.
