Forza Horizon 5: How To Complete The Hot Wheels Park Tour Mission

This one is much easier than it seems at first glance.

By Billy Givens on July 20, 2022 at 12:21PM PDT

As you work your way through Forza Horizon 5 's Hot Wheels DLC, you'll need to complete a series of missions to increase your Academy Rank. And once you're Pro Rank, you'll come across a mission called Hot Wheels Park Tour, which asks you to drive from Forest Falls to Giant's Canyon and then cross over into The Ice Cauldron in less than four minutes. It may sound like a heck of a drive, but you can actually shave a significant amount of time with a specific route. We'll tell you how to make that happen so that you can unlock those sweet 50 medals.

How to complete the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission

For starters, the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission requires that you drive an A-class car , so make sure you switch vehicles if you've been driving about using a different class.

Now, at first glance, you'd be forgiven for thinking that you need to begin your drive at the peak of Forest Falls, but the mission's text can actually be a little bit misleading. As a matter of fact, you can begin the mission at the very southern section of the forest biome, making for a much, much quicker drive. See below for exactly where to fast travel to begin the drive.

Start here.

While staying in this location in the forest biome, set a route all the way to the other side of the map in the ice biome. See below for the exact location.

End here.

With your route set, you can set off to complete the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission, which you'll likely find that you finish in only a few short minutes. With those 50 medals in your possession, you'll be one step closer to becoming the Hot Wheels Legend.

While you're at it, check out where to find the Hot Wheels DLC bonus boards .

How to complete Hot Wheels Park Tour in Forza Horizon 5

There's an easy method to this Pro Rank mission.

The Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC has a 'Hot Wheels Academy' ranking system, asking you to complete missions to unlock higher ranks - with the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission seemingly one of the hardest.

This Forza Horizon 5 Pro Rank Major Mission awards 50 medals toward the next rank when you drive from Forest Falls, to Giant's Canyon, and finally reach The Ice Cauldron in under four minutes.

Visiting all three biomes in under four minutes may seem like a ridiculously hard task, but there's actually a route you can take that will complete the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission with minutes to spare.

Before starting this mission, make sure you're in an A class car . This doesn't have to be a Hot Wheels car, but just make sure there's a red 'A' tag on the one you're currently in. To quickly check the class of your car, pause the game and look at the car name and class on the top left-hand corner of the screen.

horizon tour fh5 hot wheels

You can make or purchase a tune setup for an A class car if you want to go a bit faster, but we managed to complete the mission in an untuned 2016 Jeep Trailcat with 2 minutes to spare - so try out the method below before tuning to hopefully save some Credits.

The trick to completing the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission in Forza Horizon 5 is to start as close to the southeastern edge of Forest Falls as possible . You don't need to start at the top where the landmark name is, and you don't need to travel to where the landmark names are in the other biomes. Being anywhere in the biomes counts toward completing the challenge .

Welcome to the festival! Check out our Hot Wheels car list , Hammer Mountain location , and how to complete the Park Tour challenge pages if you're enjoying the Hot Wheels DLC. If you're after new vehicles, we have barn find locations and a list of the best cars in Forza Horizon 5 . If you're just starting, we can help with the early Apex, Wilds or Baja choice , with covers the Jungle , Volcano and Tulum , as well as how to change seasons .

If you have the challenge pinned to your HUD, you'll see the Forest Falls task ticked if you're correctly positioned inside the area.

horizon tour fh5 hot wheels

After going to the southeastern edge of Forest Falls, bring up the map and then set a route for the southeastern edge of The Ice Cauldron area and follow it from your mini-map. You'll get another tick toward your challenge progress for passing through Giant's Canyon, and then the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission will complete as soon as you enter The Ice Cauldron.

horizon tour fh5 hot wheels

While you may not get a Hot Wheels car or cosmetic reward from completing the Major Mission, the 50 medals will help you toward unlocking Expert Rank, if you haven't already done so.

If you managed to unlock Expert Rank before completing Hot Wheels Park Tour, then the 50 medals will then go toward unlocking the Elite Rank instead.

If you need some more medals, check out our page in the dragon atop Hammer Mountain location , which you need to travel to in order to complete a few different Major Missions.

Hope you're having fun in the Hot Wheels Park!

Forza Horizon 5 is one of the best racing games out there, and it has a ton of content that will keep players coming back for more. For instance, the Hot Wheels DLC in Forza Horizon 5 is just one of many DLCs that add tremendous value to an already fantastic game.

As fantastic as the Hot Wheels DLC is, some missions are easier said than done. The Park Tour mission is one of a few that can leave players scratching their heads. Fortunately, this guide will cover everything there is to know about completing the Park Tour mission.

Hot Wheels DLC: Park Tour Mission Prerequisites

Before starting the Park Tour mission, players must ensure meet the following prerequisites:

  • The player must choose an A-class car .
  • The car has to be an A-class car, although it does not have to be a Hot Wheels car.
  • The right car will have a red ‘A’ tag.

How To Trigger The Park Tour Mission

To trigger the Park Tour mission in the Hot Wheels DLC , follow these simple instructions:

  • Access the Hot Wheels Academy Pro Rank.
  • Select Major Mission.
  • Locate the Park Tour mission and select it from the list.

How To Complete The Park Tour Mission

The Park Tour mission requires players to drive an A-class car through Forest Falls, Giant’s Canyon, and The Ice Cauldron in less than four minutes. For this reason, and to shorten the journey for an easy win, it is a good idea to start at the edge of any of these locations. However, the best starting point is Forest Falls.

  • Upon starting the event from Forest Falls, head west towards The Ice Cauldron.
  • After triggering The Ice Cauldron check mark, loop back and head east towards The Giant’s Chasm.
  • After crossing the valley to arrive at The Giant’s Chasm, the mission will be complete.

Park Tour Mission Rewards

Unfortunately, completing the Park Tour mission will not award the player with Hot Wheels cars or cosmetics. Completing the mission will grant the player 50 medals that can aid in unlocking the Expert Rank. If the player has already acquired the Expert Rank, then the 50 medals will unlock the Elite Rank instead.

Forza Horizon 5 is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

The Hot Wheels Park Tour Forza Horizon 5 mission is causing a bit of trouble for some players, so we’ll show you how to complete it in this guide. The most difficult part of the whole thing is figuring out where to begin the mission in Forest Falls, since making that step trigger is pretty finicky. With that said, we’re done with introductions, so let’s dive in.

How to Complete Hot Wheels Park Tour Forza Horizon 5

To complete the Forza Horizon 5 Park Tour mission in the Hot Wheels DLC, you need to drive an “A” class car from Forest Falls, through Giant’s Canyon and into The Ice Cauldron in under dour minutes. To begin it, go into Hot Wheels Academy Pro Rank, then select Major Missions. Find the Park Tour in the list and select it. This will pin the mission for you.

Now it’s time to fast travel into Forest Falls. The trick is to begin in a place that’s as close as possible to Giant’s Canyon, which is in the southeast, while still triggering the Forest Falls check mark. This, in turn, will require you to be either close to the ground or the waterfalls themselves. If you’re too far up in the air, it will not trigger. We managed to trigger this part of the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels Park Tour mission in the location shown below.

how to complete hot wheels park tour forza horizon 5

Once that happens, gun it to the southeast and into Giant’s Canyon. This shouldn’t be that much of a problem. For us, the check mark triggered at the location shown in the screenshot below. From there, race to the west and into the land of ice and fire, aka The Ice Cauldron. The final step of the mission should complete as soon as you cross the chasm into the final zone. It might take you a few tries to get it all correctly, but you should be fine.

Forza Horizon 5 Map - Hot Wheels

Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels Map . An interactive map of the fictional terrains that were added to Forza Horizon 5 it the Hot Wheels DLC. It shows the locations of collectibles and various activities such as XP Boards, Tank Balloons, Landmarks, Speed Racing Events, Hazard Racing Events, Danger Signs, Speed Zones, Speed Traps, Drift Zones and more.

Where / how to get off the tracks?

Getting off the tracks onto the ground is necessary to reach most of the XP boards or tank balloons. Most of the tracks have barriers preventing you from leaving them, but in the places marked on the ingame map as orange sections with a white dashed line in the middle the tracks run on the ground and barriers are not there so it is possible to get off the tracks there. There are some other places on the tracks where there are also no barriers but they are located above the ground and it is necessary to jump down and land properly on the ground below. They are not marked on the map.

If you want to find and visit all the areas / landmarks available in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, here is a list of all of them. Note : The "dragon landmarks" or festival site don't have markers on the map and that seems to be intentional but two other markers: The Knot Rock and The Supersonic Spiral don't have map markers either and it seems to be a bug (at least for me :-) It's just a map display bug because I was able to find all 28/28.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: What Is The Horizon Tour?

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour in action, as two cars splash through water.

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is one of the many activities that you can race through as part of the seasonal event. Forza Horizon 5 is currently in its winter season, offering up the ID Zerouno '18 and Subaru 22B vehicles, which you can only unlock by earning points. The Horizon Tour is one of those many ways to earn points.

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour itself is a three-race co-op event where players will face off in two teams of six, split between the red and blue team. The goal is to have the majority of your team place in the top six to earn points, and as such, you don't want to be running your team off the road just for you to get first place. The race takes place on dirt tracks and will use C-Class vehicles. Once any given race is over you will then drive collectively to the next race, and so on.

On the bottom right, you should see the Horizon Tour Co-Op Championship. By clicking on it, you will be put into a waiting lobby, before eventually joining the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour. Since this is a part of the winter season, you will only have until December 4 to take part in it.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: Rewards

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour podium.

Of course, the ultimate reward for the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is to gain enough points to earn the latest legendary cars. For that, the Horizon Tour will grant you three Forza Points. For context, you will need 22 and 42 points to earn either of the reward cars. Additionally, from taking part in the event you will earn your usual rung of XP and skill points, which obviously increase depending on your position in the race. If this is your first Horizon Tour race, you will also earn the Tourist Attraction achievement.

Several cars racing down a Hot Wheels track with more loops of the track visible in the distance.

Here are the cars you can look forward to driving in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, all of which are #NewToForza:

2018 Chevrolet Hot Wheels COPO Camaro

The Chevrolet Hot Wheels COPO Camaro in FH5.

In 1968, the first ever Hot Wheels debuted in the form of a Custom Camaro die-cast and in 2018, those muscle fumes were reignited to celebrate Hot Wheels’ 50th anniversary. This limited-edition Camaro pairs the iconic Hot Wheels lineage with the precision and power of the sixth-generation Camaro to create a full-scale, factory-built drag racer that can speed past anything on its path. It uses an LSX-based, fire-breathing Chevrolet V8 engine producing 580 horsepower at 8000 rpm and a Whipple Industries 109-mm supercharger. It also looks the part too, with a sizzling “Orange Crush” exterior paint to match the iconic glow of Hot Wheels tracks paired with a two-color stripe package and one-of-a-kind vinyl chromatic Hot Wheels logos. Those tires are also incredibly special too, as the COPO Camaro rocks Weld racing wheels and Hoosier drag slicks to deliver the perfect take-off. With twin wheelie bars and a rear drag chute, this is a muscle car that rockets through Speed Traps while retaining full stability! Only 69 of these Hot Wheels COPOs were ever produced so if you wanted to buy one, you had to register your interest. In Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, there’s no need to concern yourself with production numbers as the COPO Camaro is yours to drive on a nexus of glowing distinctive tracks like no other.

2012 Hot Wheels Bad to the Blade

Hot Wheels Bad to the Blade car zipping down a Hot Wheels track.

Extreme is likely the first word that comes to mind. After all, the Bad to the Blade – a car that looks like it was created in the future – serves up blistering speed and is inspired by a fighter jet and dragon combo. Designed by Hot Wheels’ Fraser Campbell, this Indy car concept was showcased in the Hot Wheels “Fearless at the 500” event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Indy 500. It’s since been rewrapped in new graphics to honor the Hot Wheels 50th anniversary while Firestone tires and Hot Wheels rims complete the look. It features a 1000-cc four-cylinder turbocharged motorcycle engine while the wing and ground effect aerodynamics create 2646 lbs. of downforce – all to deliver a top speed of over 230mph on an inverted track. If you watched the Hot Wheels for Real online series, then you’ll recall how the Bad to the Blade defied gravity by driving upside down! Sounds like the perfect contender for Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels.

2013 Hot Wheels Baja Bone Shaker

This is the Bone Shaker reimagined to drive off the beaten path! Inspired by early 1970s trophy trucks, this highly modified off-roader is given a rugged look, bigger wheels and the perfect amount of suspension to leave behind every challenger in the dust and do so with a smile on its skull. Creator Abe Lugo fitted it with modern 4x4 overlander bull bars as well as tube bumpers with fog lights and designed the roof to operate as a spoiler – a throwback to the Big Oly Bronco. The chrome rear fenders assist with the dirt, gravel and mud that the Baja Bone Shaker is certain to scoop up, while the headlight claws found on the classic Bone Shaker have been adapted into front fender chrome fists and function as headlight stands. Lastly, there’s the unmissable skeleton-head headlight casings, which are certain to cause a fright or two, especially as Baja Bone Shaker emerges from the depths of an unsuspecting cloud of dust! Now it’s found a new home in the warm biomes and Baja tracks of Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels with its natural habitat being the Giant’s Canyon!

2000 Hot Wheels Deora II

Hot Wheels Deora II speeding around a Hot Wheels track.

With its slinky curves, an integrated spoiler and unique oval windows, the unconventional Deora II makes for a stylish and sleek upgrade over its original 1960s counterpart, which was based on a 1960s Ford station wagon. As one of the original sixteen Hot Wheels cars that debuted in 1968, the Deora remains a favorite of Hot Wheels enthusiasts across the world and in honor of Hot Wheels’ 35th anniversary in 2003, a full-scale concept car was created in homage to the groundbreaking spirit of bold originality embodied in the Deora. Hot Wheels teamed up with automotive designer Chip Foose and Five Axis to bring the car to life, which is when it was also inducted into the Hot Wheels Hall of Fame at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA. With over 400 horsepower and a top speed of 150mph, the Deora II features a custom hand-built cab forward body designed by its creator Nathan Proch, and takes cues from the 1996 Ford Taurus station wagon. Its electric linear actuator opens the front door for access in or out of its futuristic interior, while the two surfboards harken back to the original car, which for a 2021 retooling were molded into the bodywork. It also has custom 24-inch wheels with Firestone tires, and you see that tonneau cover? It lifts to reveal a supercharged Cadillac Northstar engine, the savvy innerworkings that keep this Deora II rolling along without interruption.

2021 Hennessey Venom F5

The Hennessey Venom F5 on Hot Wheels track in FH5.

With its goal of being the absolute fastest road car on earth, the Hennessey Venom F5 immediately sets the highest of expectations. As a tribute to 30 years of Hennessey, it’s only fair that it combines the best of speed and power in the ultimate driving package. Capable of 1,817 horsepower – and yes, you’ve read that correctly – at 8,000 rpm and 1,193 lb-ft of torque, the F5 is a monster. With predicted acceleration speeds of 0-168mph in under 10 seconds and 0-249mph in around 20 seconds with a top speed goal beyond 311mph, the F5, if it can reach those speeds, will in fact be the world’s fastest production car—an extraordinary feat, especially as it weighs 2,998 lbs. The F5 uses a Hennessey V8 twin-turbo engine, which it’s calling 'Fury' to push these unprecedented speeds. Aerodynamics, which as a first for Hennessey are paired with the car’s body, are being developed by expert racing driver John ‘Heinrocket’ Heinricy to ensure a world-class, revolutionary driving experience both on the road and track. Production is limited to 24 units and by August 2021, they were all sold out, so your best opportunity to get behind the wheel of the world’s fastest production car ever will be in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels.

2019 Brabham BT62

Brabham BT62 zooming down a Hot Wheels track.

To honor Brabham’s 70-year heritage in racing, the BT62 has been carefully designed for the driver who strives to challenge themselves as company founder Sir Jack Brabham did when he began his racing career in Australia in 1948. If you’re looking for a car that boosts your driving experience to the next level, then look no further and act fast, because only 70 of these BT62s will be produced with the first 35 adorned in liveries celebrating Brabham’s 35 Grand Prix winning cars. This mid-engine track car is powered by a Brabham 5.4-liter V8 engine capable of 700bhp and 492 ft-lb of torque. It’s perfectly optimized for performance, with aggressive aerodynamics delivering 2,645 lbs. of downforce. With the BT62, Brabham strived to enhance the behind the wheel experience, not control it. Therefore, it all comes down to the driver instead of the electronics. Its speed and power are maintained by you without any interference from the car’s software. If you’re confident, you can push it to its true limits – just as Australian Supercars race driver Luke Youlden did when he broke the closed-wheel lap record at Mount Panorama Circuit with a time of 1:58.68, eclipsing the fastest GT car by 0.621 seconds. After all, it’s dubbed “the world’s most track focused hypercar” and with the unprecedented speeds that are now possible in Forza Horizon 5 thanks to the new accelerative Speed Boosts found across Hot Wheels Park, there's no greater home to unleash the driving potential of Brabham’s BT62.

2006 Mosler MT900 GT3

Mossler MT900 GT3 speeding around a Hot Wheels track.

If the Mosler MT900S is a Forza Horizon PR Stunt master, then you can only imagine the capabilities of the MT900 GT3 – especially once it touches the high-speed, interconnected tracks of Hot Wheels Park. This model takes everything that made the MT900 so great – a supercar that could compete against its top tier siblings and emerge on top – and adapt it for the track. In fact, this specific variant builds upon the race-ready MT900R to adhere to FIA GT3 regulations. Under the hood, it uses an LS7 V8 engine to output 520 horsepower at 5,900 rpm and can even produce 505 lb-ft of torque! So, the only question that remains is whether the MT900 will live up to the Mosler precedent by being the best of the best for Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels’ PR Stunts once it undergoes some lavish tuning and upgrades.

2020 SIERRA Cars #23 Yokohama ALPHA

A black Sierra ALPHA rally car featuring sponsor decals and a massive wing with purple end plates is seen driving along a frozen lake. It is surrounded by a red and white Mercedes Benz Tankpool Racing Truck, a blue Subaru, blue and orange tracks, and snow

Pikes Peak is considered one of the most challenging and dangerous rally courses in the world, yet it doesn’t compare to Mount Washington – the peak of demanding driving. For any driver, it’s a daunting hillclimb, but when Sierra Cars undertook the 2021 Climb to the Clouds, it did so with the goal of its new powerful, precision-focused and lightweight Alpha being the fastest two-wheel-drive car ever. Thanks to Sierra’s engineering expertise and the passion, skill and determination of their crew—O.P. Andersen, Cole Powelson and Mark Hermansen—the record was reset, and the Alpha brought home the title entering the sub-ten-minute club with 9:37.449. Being the most powerful Sierra vehicle ever, the Alpha features a turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa boasting 450 horsepower with a top speed of 140mph. The Alpha produces a single ton of downforce – twice its own weight – using big carbon fiber wings and weighs just 1,100lbs. It achieves 0-60mph in 2.2 seconds and is geared for asphalt driving, capable of extreme levels of grip, power and speed to take on the toughest race in the world.

2018 SUBARU WRX STI ARX Supercar

Blue Subaru WRX STI ARX Supercar drifting on a snowy Hot Wheels track.

Imagine 0-60mph in only two seconds. It sounds like a dream, but for this Subaru supercar, it’s a reality. Rallycross is a sport of gravel, jumps and sometimes bumper cars; it’s never going to be a smooth ride, and a car catering to competition must be built with these caveats in mind. With 600bhp and 680 lb-ft of torque, this Subaru WRX STI ARX Supercar is built with the underpinnings of rallycross across its entire design philosophy. Its four-cylinder, 2-liter Boxer engine is fitted with an ARX mandated 45mm Restrictor Garrett Motorsport Turbocharger managed by a Cosworth Pectel ECU, while the Reiger competition suspension and custom hydraulics ensure it can maintain peak performance through the gravel, high jumps and even the pavement. The masterclass of rallycross? You best believe it.
