What to expect at ITE HCMC 2024

As the largest and most established annual international travel trade event in Vietnam, the 18th ITE HCMC 2024 will be held under the theme “Connectivity, Growth, Sustainability”, endorsed by Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The event is an annual international travel event that enhances exchanges, tourism promotion and business opportunities for domestic and foreign tourism companies. Moreover, ITE HCMC 2024 will be held in a hybrid format, a combination of physical booths and online events such as 2D Online Booths, and Online Appointment Schedules between international buyers and sellers.

ITE HCMC 2024 is expected to attract over 400 exhibiting companies and 250 high-level buyers from over 40 countries and territories, together with more than 25,000 visitors, all gathering in one place, over the three days.

Online Expo is a channel serving domestic and foreign exhibitors. Each exhibitor will be given an account of 2D online booth. Enterprises can proactively update images and videos introducing their companies as well as their products and services. Besides, Live chat and Live streaming features will help enterprises effectively approach numerous potential customers.

Batik Air Online Travel Fair digelar secara daring di laman resmi www.batikair.com mulai Senin (11/9/2023) hingga Minggu (17/9/2023).

Tersedia tiket pesawat untuk rute favorit pergi pulang (PP) Jakarta-Yogyakarta mulai dari Rp 1,2 juta, rute Jakarta-Bali mulai dari Rp 1,7 juta, dan rute Jakarta-Medan mulai dari Rp 2,7 juta.

Selain itu, tersedia juga tiket pesawat PP untuk penerbangan internasional. Diantaranya ada rute Jakarta-Singapura mulai dari Rp 1,3 juta, rute Jakarta- Bangkok mulai dari Rp 2,6 juta, dan rute Jakarta-Perth mulai dari Rp 3,9 juta.

The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents, MATTA is pleased to inform that we are organizing the MATTA FAIR®️ 1-3 SEPTEMBER 2023 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur . This will be the 53rd edition of MATTA FAIR®️ to be held in Kuala Lumpur.

Please be informed and to take note of the following registration system:

1. ONLINE REGISTRATION only.

2. Registration of exhibitors on the registration day will be by the sequence of the registration number generated once online registration is completed by the company/organization.

3. The MATTA Fair online registration has started on Tuesday, 6 June 2023 until all booths are subscribed. Although exhibitors have registered, exhibiting companies are reminded that booths are subject to availability and NOT guaranteed.

September sees several festivals derived from religious beliefs, innovative events that celebrate Thailand’s arts and crafts, and many sporting events.

Here is a list of other festivals and events taking place around Thailand in September 2023, sorted by date:

Cross-region travel fair.

• 1-3 September 2023
• Central Hatyai, Songkhla

This is the last of a series of five travel fairs being held in Thailand’s five regions between June and September 2023, with the aim of encouraging cross-region travel. The show features promotions and special deals from accommodation, attractions, tour companies, and other tourism products and services across the country, as well as DIY workshops on local wisdom from the five regions.

Khao Yai Clay Craft Creation

• Primo Piazza Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima

The three-day event features pottery and ceramic products, clay performing arts, and pottery workshops – all the while offering specialty menus by world-class chefs on specially-crafted pottery plates. There are also music concerts and a party clay carnival, as well as a clay caravan to take in the lush nature of Khao Yai National Park and the Khorat UNESCO Global Geopark.

Bangkok Gems & Jewellery Fair 2023

• 6-10 September 2023
• Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Bangkok

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the annual Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair, which is considered the longest celebrated trade fair of its kind in Asia. Organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with the Gem and Jewellery Institute of Thailand (GIT), the Fair showcases a comprehensive range of products, from raw gemstones to finished jewellery items, including gemstones, loose stones, fine jewellery, silver jewellery, gold jewellery, platinum jewellery, pearls, costume jewellery, manufacturing equipment, and packaging, among others.

Phanom Rung Light Phenomenon (Sunrise)

• 8-10 September 2023
• Phanom Rung Historical Park, Buri Ram

This is the third time this year visitors can observe the sunlight through the 15 doors of Prasat Hin Phanom Rung. The light phenomenon happens four times a year – two sunset events occur between 5-7 March and 5-7 October, and two sunrise events happen between April 3-5 and 8-10 September.

Prasat Hin Phanom Rung is perched atop an extinct volcano 60 kilometres south of Buri Ram city. It is the largest and best restored Khmer site in Thailand and offers fine views of the surrounding rice fields.

Thai-Japan Iconic Music Fest 2023

• 22-24 September 2023
• ICONSIAM, Bangkok

The annual music festival promotes Thai and Japanese pop culture. This year’s event also marks the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan’s friendship and will feature performances by over 50 renowned bands from Thailand and Japan, including Banzai Japan, Beyooooonds, Chicken Blow The Idol, FES☆TIVE, and Kyushu Girls Wing from Japan and Euphonie, Fuyubi, HatoBito, Ikinari Tell Me, Stellagrima, and TerasuDanshi from Thailand. Throughout the three days, showtime is from 14.00-22.00 Hrs.

Sakhon Nakhon Tao Ngoi Worship Tradition 2023

• 23-29 September 2023
• Pung River Park, Tao Ngoi District

The annual ritual and dance performances to worship Phaya Tao Ngoi (turtle lord) – the symbol of Tao Ngoi district in the Northeastern Thai province of Sakon Nakhon. The tradition is held alongside illuminated long-boat processions and long-boat races, as well as many other forms of entertainment and consumer fair.

Kalasin Long-boat Racing Festival 2023

• 21-25 September 2023
• Pao River, Kamalasai District

Enjoy five days of long-boat races, folk performances, long-boat processions, and cheerleading competitions, as well as an ancient drum competition (Seng Klong King).

Narathiwat Ko Lae Boat & Long-boat Racing 2023

• Tha Prayasai Dam

The much-anticipated Ko Lae Boat and long-boat races exclusive to Narathiwat is held alongside the annual Narathiwat’s Specialty Fair. As well as different categories of boat races, there are exhibitions and showcases of Ko Lae boat replicas and other arts and crafts.

Narathiwat’s Specialty Fair

• 16-25 September 2023

The Narathiwat’s Specialty Fair celebrates Krajood (Grey Sedge) handicrafts and related arts and crafts unique to Narathiwat, as well as the province’s famous ‘Longkong’ fruit and agricultural products. Last but not least, there is a Javan Dove Sound Competition for the Royal Cup on 17-18 September 2023.

Nakhon Si Thammarat Tenth Lunar Month Festival 2023

• 25 September-14 October 2023
• Princess Mother 84 Park (Thung Tha Lat)

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the ‘Sat Duen Sip’ merit-making tradition in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The province has planned 20 days and 20 nights of merit-making ceremonies and various other activities, including the Nakhon Si Thammarat Red Cross Fair 2023, Thai literature contest, Nang Talung showdown, live poetry contest, young Manora, Nang Talung talk show, youngsters’ shadow play, and music concerts.

Chiang khan super half marathon 2023.

• 3 September 2023
• Chiang Khan, Loei

Super Half Marathon 25 km, Super Mini Marathon 15 km, and Fun Run 5 km in Chiang Khan, a relaxed and lovely town on the Mekong’s Thai bank in Northeastern Thailand. The town retains an old world-feel with its main riverside road lined with teakwood houses. As well as joining or witnessing the running event, visitors can experience local activities, such as making merit to Buddhist monks, taking in the spectacular sight of Phu Thok, or enjoying the sunrise with a panoramic view of Chiang Khan.

Chiang Mai 22K 2023 @Doi Suthep

• 10 September 2023
• Start-finish at Chiang Mai Zoo

The Northern province of Chiang Mai offers much in the way of both natural and man-made attractions, many of which are nestled in picturesque settings amid the lush tropical countryside. And if you’re visiting Chiang Mai this September, join or simply enjoy witnessing the event which features a 22 km half marathon, 10 km mini-marathon, and 5 km fun run.

Khao Yai Car Free Day 2023

• 22 September 2023
• Khao Yai National Park

The public and private organisations in Khao Yai and Nakhon Ratchasima are celebrating the World Car-Free Day – held every year on or around 22 September at cities across the globe – at Khao Yai National Park. The event, free of charge, invites all to join car-free activities, including walking, cycling, and running up the UNESCO-listed Park, photo exhibition, music performances, zero waste meals, and stargazing.

Please note that registration for most of these running events has closed already. Whether closed or still open, visitors can still enjoy the fun atmosphere at each location.

The History and Facts About US State Fairs

County and state fairs are the beating heart of the United States. Started in 1811 by a banker Elkanah Watson, most of these fairs had agricultural roots. They initially served as meeting points for farmers to promote, trade, or sell local commodities, and to display crafts and skills. 

There are almost 3,300 county and state fairs in the US which generate jobs and income for the regions that host them. Most importantly, many of these fairs reinvest the revenue back into the community. While the agricultural aspect is still there today, it has taken a back seat to family-friendly cuisine, rides, and musical performances.

Is there a pastime more distinctly American than eating something fried on a stick, marveling at livestock, and taking a spin on a Ferris wheel?

American State Fairs are just a ton of fun. For the last 250 years, they have been an embodiment of the best things that each state has to offer. They are now eagerly anticipated summertime celebrations in the majority of the U.S. states, each offering a vast array of sights, sounds, aromas, and entertainment options ranging from high-flying midway thrills to traditional livestock and farm equipment shows. 

What Is The Most Popular US State Fair?

It’s the State Fair of Texas. By attracting more than 2 million guests every year, it is one of the largest state fairs in the US by attendance. Since 1952, attendees have experienced auto showcases, agricultural expos, games, and fried food galore. 

What Is The Only Multi-State Fair in The US?

The answer is The Big E. Once known as the Eastern States Exposition, the festival lasts 17 days and is held in states that make up New England: Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

North Carolina State Fair’s Heritage Circle is home to historic buildings and blacksmith demonstrations that you can see in 11 days. At the Folk Festival which is hosted daily, you will find all sorts of competitions that celebrate North Carolina’s musical past.

Arizona State Fair offers free entrance on selected days for those who donate canned goods at the front gates. Since 1884, this month-long southwestern fair has evolved into an eclectic gathering, featuring things like psychic readings, tribute bands, monster trucks, and a spooky haunted mansion.

Guide to Singapore Travel Fairs 2023: NATAS Travel Fair, Japan Travel Fair, and Klook Japan Deals (24-26 February 2023)

Are you planning your 2023 holidays and looking for travel deals? There are two big travel fairs this weekend (24-26 February 2023)! The NATAS Travel Fair 2023 at Singapore Expo and Japan Travel Fair by Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) at Suntec City (with a special Klook Express booth with amazing Japan deals).

As I am a cheapo, #auntiewendy, and “bargain hunter,” I have “scrutinized” the travel fairs and put together this quick guide to the travel fairs in Singapore and the best travel deals and discounts.

NATAS Travel Fair 2023

The NATAS Travel Fair is Singapore’s largest consumer travel fair and is held twice a year. Its organizing body, the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS), brings together numerous travel agencies, tourism boards, airlines, and hotels under one roof to showcase the latest tourism products and trends.

• Date: 24-26 February 2023
• Venue: Singapore Expo, 1 Expo Dr, Singapore 486150, Hall 5
• Free admission

Based on my past experiences, it’s best to go head down to the NATAS Travel Fair as early as possible. You will avoid the crowds, queues for customer service, and grab good deals and gifts (especially credit card deals that may have limited quantity). This year, my game plan is to visit my favorite Taiwan Tourism Bureau Booth, Peace Boat booth, and do research for Europe packaged tours.

There are over 51 exhibitors and they range from national tourism organizations, travel agents, hotels, airlines, cruises, banks, insurers, and more.

If you are looking for credit cards discounts or would like to sign up for new credit cards, check out the bank booths! Most banks usually have good giveaways and discounts for new credit card sign-ups at travel fairs.

For travel insurance, Etiqa Insurance has a booth. But I don’t usually buy insurance at travel fair as I can find better deals online. I have recently purchased FWD travel insurance for my family. I like that I can enhance my coverage with COVID-19 add-on benefit and they have an app that facilitates claims easily. I have no issues making claims so far. Japan Travel Fair returns as a physical fair after three years since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic! This fair is organized by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Singapore Office, in collaboration with multiple prefectural government agencies from Japan and local travel partners.

I’m so excited about the physical Japan Travel Fair 2023! The online travel fairs in the last 2 years were great but it’s always nice to explore the travel booths in person and talk to the travel consultants. Get ready for 3 days of Japan extravaganza and enjoy fun-filled activities, stage performances, and of course, exclusive free giveaways!

JAPAN TRAVEL FAIR 2023 – TRAVEL BOOTHS AND MAP

There are many travel booths at the Japan Travel Fair. Most of the booths by the prefectures are in North Atrium . It’s so nice to JR booths like JR East and JR Hokkaido, a big group of Kyushu booths (Fukuoka, Oita, Miyazaki, and more), and of course, my favorite prefecture Okinawa (Be.Okinawa)!
