KingpinRider. 592 posts · Joined 2012. #40 · May 6, 2014. My 2008 Kingpin cable broke at 5000 miles. Replaced with Victory cable under warranty. The new cable was an updated design. Good to 18,000 so far. Sav-Ur-Ride has been in the saddlebag ever since. 2008 Vision Tour Premium - Midnight Cherry.
Replacing clutch cable
BrianT. 14 posts · Joined 2016. #5 · Jan 16, 2017. I recently replaced the clutch cable on my 2009 Vegas and the WitchDoctor video helped a lot. I had to remove the tank. I replaced the OEM one with the Barnett cable 101-85-10008. While I had the tank off, I also routed a powerlet port to the handlebar. 2009 Victory Vegas.

I have seen some aftermarket clutch cables that are quite a bit less then the Victory cable but want to make sure they are the right length. The one I am looking at is 57" in length +6" overall. I installed apes on my 2011 Cross Country and the clutch cable is tight. I am wondering if a Highball or Hardballcable would work. Does anyone know the overall length of a Highball or Hardball clutch cable or have another suggestionof a slightly longer cable? The stock CCcable 7081602 is aproximately 78 1/2" overall.
