The UK & Ireland’s biggest and most prestigious celebration of the travel trade will return this summer as we honour the industry's best agents and agencies.

The 2024 Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards in association with Celestyal will return to London’s Park Plaza Westminster Hotel on Thursday, July 11, with the usual packed night of awards and entertainment in store.

Founded in 1997, the AAAs feature a range of supplier-voted categories recognising the best small and large agencies by region, sales channel and product specialisms, in addition to self-nominated categories which celebrate individual agents and business excellence.

The Agent Achievement Awards is always a highpoint of the industry calendar, and we are sure this year’s will be no exception as we plan another spectacular occasion and honour the UK & Ireland’s best high street, home-based and call centre agencies.

These awards stand as the pinnacle of the travel trade and are dedicated to celebrating and acknowledging the exceptional achievements of the best in the business. We’re excited to be part of the celebrations.

TVG Makes The Shortlist As Finalists For Five Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards

We are thrilled to share that we’ve made the shortlist for no less than 5 of the trade’s highest accolades at the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards 2024! It’s an honour that agents and agencies from across the UK and Ireland eagerly aspire to. This prestigious event, one of the industry’s biggest celebration of agents, will take place at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel on Thursday, 11 July 2024, in association with headline sponsor, Celestyal.

The shortlists are brimming with talent, featuring agencies nominated by over 100 suppliers, including tour operators, cruise lines, airlines, tourist boards, and ancillary companies. It’s inspiring to see such a diverse group of nominees, from individuals in established companies and innovative start-up agencies to those who have shown exceptional commitment to sustainability, staff wellbeing, and development.

Being recognised alongside such esteemed professionals is a true honour, and we’re looking forward to celebrating everyone’s collective achievements at this incredible event.

The Travel Village Group were shortlisted for 4 awards (and won an additional special award for Mental Health) in 2023, so it’s amazing to be recognised for even more in 2024.

Cruise Agency of the Year – Large – Southampton Cruise Centre is our mainstream cruise brand, and is recognised as one of the best cruise agencies in the UK & Ireland. We are so proud!

Leisure Agent of the Year – Well done to Kelly Taylor! Kelly is one of our Holiday Village business owners, working under the banner of “Taylor Made Travel”.

Leisure Manager of the Year – Congratulations Carolyn Markey ! In addition to our retail store Travel Village being shortlisted, Carolyn has also been recognised for her management of the day-to-day running of the shop, staff and local events.

Agency Support Team Member of the Year – Huge plaudits for Susan Forsdike, who has made the shortlist for the second year running, recognising the work she does behind the scenes to support our frontline agents and business owners.

Travel Counsellors score a hat-trick at the 2023 Agent Achievement Awards

We’re delighted to announce that Travel Counsellors has come away from the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards last night with not one but three prestigious awards - Large Homeworking Agency of the Year, Best Large Agency to Work For and Sustainability Champion of the Year.

The annual Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards are the largest celebration of the travel trade in the UK & Ireland and the highest accolade for travel agencies and agents. The awards are designed to honour those travel agencies and travel agents who truly represent the best of the travel industry, and recognise excellence in a range of categories and specialisms.

Travel Counsellors’ UK Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer, Kirsten Hughes, was there to represent the community:

About the award

The Agent Achievement Awards are the 'UK and Ireland's biggest and most prestigious celebration of the travel trade'.

In association with Virgin Atlantic, the awards recognised winners in a whopping 38 categories. In 3 parts, they cover regional awards and wider industry titles, including the Sustainability Agent of the Year and the Tipto Independent Agency of the Year.

This years’ ceremony was held in London’s Park Plaza Westminster Hotel, the perfect venue for a lively night of celebration. Over 700 agents and travel industry professionals gathered to find out who would take home these highly anticipated awards.

Hosted by television personality and football pundit Mark Wright and Travel Weekly’s own editor-in-chief Luxley, this award ceremony was not one to miss.

About the Trophy

The Agent Achievement Awards are major accolades in the travel industry, presented to well-deserved winners' after a year of hard work in an ever-changing environment.

It was important the award design reflected this modern ceremony and the prestige of each winning title. Not only did they need to embody the brand, they needed to celebrate the individuals and businesses themselves.

The final piece is a custom acrylic award; a smooth and straightforward design, this trophy has plentry of space for printed and branded detail. The award is freestanding, which means it doesn’t sit on a traditional base or pedestal. Made of a single form that stand’s alone, all custom detail is on the main acrylic body.

Primarily solid acrylic, the award boasts a modern clear design. Acrylic is hugely versatile and offers a wealth of design possibilities, making it a favourite material amongst many event organisers looking for bespoke awards. The surface can be printed or engraved and sheets of acrylic are laser-cut or milled to create custom profiles. The Agent Achievement Award design consists of a tall, rectangular form with layered aluminium detail. The aluminium has a brushed surface finish for a matte shine on either side of the award. Not only does aluminium provide a classic shine as an aesthetic component, it serves to add some additional weight and tactile element to the design.

The Agent Achievement Award logo is printed directly onto the face of the award, colour-matched for a cohesive look with the branding at the ceremony itself, as well as on their website and social media.

Print is cured for a hard-wearing and crystal clear finish.

Each award is printed with the year of the ceremony and personalised further with the winners’ details. This includes the name of the winning individual and the category they are recognised in.
