8 Influential Couple Travel Bloggers to Follow and Get Inspired By

' src=

Dan and I are a husband and wife travel blogging team, who are a part of a wonderful world of couple travel bloggers.

There are SO MANY couples who travel around the globe – near and far to where they live – every day, every week, month, and year. We're so proud to be a part of the traveling couples community.

And, furthermore, we are proud to be a part of a small percentage of those couples who LOVE to share their travel knowledge with the world through their travel blogs and associated social media accounts.

We know there are so many more inspirational travel-blogging couples than what we've posted here. But hopefully, it inspires you to keep your eyes open for more that are out there!

We've chosen to list bloggers we know well on some level, for having followed them for a while and/or having met them in person. Many are people we consider friends! While we know there are dozens more travel blogging couples to adore and follow, we've stuck to this criteria.

We also know a bunch of travel bloggers we love who write about family travel, but – y'all: it's a couples travel blog post . So we're not mentioning the family bloggers here, even though we love 'em!

Disclosure: There are affiliate links in this post, which means we may earn a small commission if you click the link and proceed with a purchase, at no cost to you . We truly only recommend hotels, products, and services we personally use. As Amazon Associates, we earn from qualifying purchases.

HoneyTrek, Anne and Mike

Anne and Mike aren't just amazing travel bloggers who inspire us to go to locations we wouldn't have thought of in ways we wouldn't have thought of. (Aka: a camper!) But they're INCREDIBLY warm, welcoming, and friendly people in the travel community.

Couple sitting on a rock with blue water and landscaping behind them.

Their books, Ultimate Journeys for Two and Comfortably Wild , are the kind you need to buy printed copies of to have on your shelf or coffee table. (We should know – we have them!) This way, when you're sitting on the couch and watching tv thinking, “Man, I need to get off my ass and explore,” they're just an arm's length away to grab for inspiration.

Anne and Mike don't participate in any “holier than thou” stuff even though their travel resumes, so to speak, would certainly allow them a few bragging rights.

It's extra nice they're so down-to-Earth because they're a little bit famous too! Proof: Go behind the scenes of their NATIONAL (yes, national!) Microsoft commercial . NBD. (Riiiggghttttt…..)

They're inspiring and RELATABLE.

Bobo and Chichi, Megan and Scott

We were in awe of Megan and Scott's technical skills, writing and ability to connect with others from the first time we met the couple known as “Bobo and Chichi” on the interwebs. And then we met them in person and it was magic!

We adore them and whether we're talking on Facebook, or meeting up during non-pandemic-times in NYC, they're always at the top of our list for who we want to see and keep in touch with.

Couple sitting cross-legged on a bed in dark red bathrobes in a woodsy-feeling, darkly lit room.

Their sense of humor? Resonate with us. Their kid-free, city-dwelling lifestyle? Also resonates. Their quirkiness? Resonates with us.

After Megan and Scott met in California and started dating, they moved to South Korea to pursue a dream of living abroad. (We had no idea Korea has so many love holidays until they educated us !) And they've been helping destinations and brands communicate their stories ever since in the most awe-inspiring ways.

They started a niche site during the pandemic, like us. (Their NYC site, Your Brooklyn Guide , is to our cruise niche site, Sometimes Sailing ). And they are always inspiring us to think outside the box, whether they know it or not.

Their video quality is sick . And I don't use that 90s term lightly.

If you haven't seen their Instagram videos and photography (@boboandchichi) you're missing out.

Justin Plus Lauren, Lauren and Justin (of course)

This Canadian couple is as sweet as sugar (um, hello – they're Canadian!) and they write about vegan travel as well. The title of their blog literally says Adventure + Kind travel. But not just to humans….to the Earth and its environment as well. ( Save the planet !)

Couple in the foreground to the right of the image with a waterfall and rainbow in the background.

We know their blog is providing valuable inspiration to couples traveling as vegans and to everyone who wants to be a more eco-conscious traveler. And we don't know a lot of people who love the Earth who don't want to be kinder to it.

We love warm weather but their post about visiting Niagara Falls during winter had us wanderlusting for a winter trip north to Buffalo…and across the border to the Canadian side of the falls.

Lauren is also ever-inspiring with her niche site, Ontario Hiking . It's quickly become a leading authority to help people safely hike this Canadian province.

Wanderlust Marriage, Bell and Alex

Not only does this couple travel the world together, but they met while they were traveling. (At a hostel in Bruges, Belgium, to be precise.) How's that for a surefire way to know if the person you're meeting is cool with international travel or not?

Couple in front of a plateau and blue sky.

Bell is Australian and Alex is American. If they're not traveling the world they can be found on the east coast of the USA planning their next adventure. While I always want to be with Dan the truth is that we travel separately once in a while, as do Alex and Bell. It's 100% healthy for a couple and their intriguing “ Does solo travel in marriage make you a bad spouse? ” article reminds us of this.

They've helped us grow as fellow couple travel bloggers in so many ways. We meet up with them whenever we can, whether it was in Amsterdam when our schedules overlapped during travels in 2019, or at TBEX (a travel conference), or online in the same travel forums.

We adore them and they're always inspiring us.

Coleman Concierge, Jenn and Ed

Sometimes the things that most inspire us are the things we wouldn't really do ourselves. Like planning a trip solely based on where we can mountain bike. Or cycle through a city's trails. And that's just one reason Jenn and Ed Coleman inspire us.

Three colorful homes with a balcony, and a couple walking in the center.

Though Dan and I aren't divers, their Scuba diving blog posts often have us wondering if we should throw on an oxygen tank and dip below the surface on our next coastal vacation. (Don't worry, we know it's not that simple to learn how to Scuba dive.)

They're our couple travel blogger friends who have transplanted to the south on more than one move or occasion, like us, and who we can joyfully discuss the everyday minutiae of blogging with us too.

They do quite a bit of freelance writing as well, like when Ed shared how strategically saving money from his full-time job allows them to travel the world, on Insider. Or Jenn shared expert tips to instantly improve your ski game on Explore magazine's site.

Once Upon a Journey, Roxanne and Maartje

This Dutch lesbian couple inspires us whenever we open Instagram.

They're the best couple travel bloggers on Instagram in our eyes (@onceuponajourney), if you define that as a traveling pair who is always posting inspiring content with both partners in the photos. They really rock it. Seriously.

Couple travel bloggers, females side-by-side, one in yellow with pink hair and the other in a pink t-shirt with blond hair.

Warning: they're adorable and so in love! It's really too cute. And their photography is colorful and exceptional, to boot, which we love.

Check out the cool photography on their post about visiting a Bubble Hotel in Iceland together. And explore their entire Instagram feed while you're at it. You'll quickly go down a rabbit hole exploring weeks and years of their content.

Did we mention they're in The Netherlands? (We're Netherlands obsessed !)

Hey! Dip Your Toes In, Eulanda and Omo

Eulanda and Omo have inspired us for years. We somehow came across this London-based couple very early on in our couple travel blogging journey (which isn't hard to believe – they're everywhere on social media and in the travel blogging world) and they've been a steadfast inspiration ever since.

Couple inside a clear bubble with rain on it. They're holding two glasses of orange juice.

They live in the UK, though she's from the US and he's from Lagos. One day, Dan and I hope to live in Europe for a while too!

They are leaders in the travel industry, speaking at conferences, doing freelance writing and inspiring us with the great content on their blog. Not to mention, they look so cool in their photos! (They say they're an everyday kind of couple on their about page , which we agree with from everything we know about them and have learned over the years. But every photo they take still looks like it's ready for a magazine!)

If we ever meet in person (which will happen one day) I know we'll bond over a shared love of food and trying new cuisines. I'm sure Eulanda and I will gush over a love of southern favorites , like shrimp ‘n grits, how fabulous Shonda Rhimes's book was, and relating to their Year of Yes , and be lifelong friends. 🙂

Sometimes Home, Mikkel and Dan

We can't write about couple travel bloggers and not include ourselves! Is that cool with you? Hopefully!

We truly hope to inspire you to travel as a couple and bring you refreshing ideas about where we go and how we do it. Whether that's sharing information about a fantastic town you've probably never heard of or a culinary experience that knocked our socks off. Or about date ideas you can do at home .

Because you are why we love to write about travel. The promise of people finding our content and booking a trip because of it – or even starting to actualize a dream because of it – means so much to us. It's why we do what we do.

Searching for more amazing travel couple youtubers like Kara and Nate? This list of the 13 best couple travel vloggers is for you!

As a travel blogger and travel lover in general, 2020 and 2021 were hard years to be stuck (mostly) at home. To compensate, I searched for other opportunities to be engrossed in travel from the safety of my couch.

One day I discovered was by watching travel vlogs on YouTube. I put together this list of the best travel vloggers I have found so you too can enjoy their videos.

Whether you are stuck at home missing travel, planning your next trip, or hoping to be inspired to book a trip, these travel YouTube channels are sure to meet your needs.

Some links on this blog are affiliate links, meaning I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you if you make a purchase through them. All opinions are my own, and I only recommend products and services I personally use and believe in. Thanks for your support!

The Best Couple Travel Vloggers

1. kara & nate.

Kara and Nate Travel Youtube

Expertise : Full Time Travel & Van Life

Video to Watch First : Antarctica Series- Specifically the Polar Plunge

Of all the fantastic travel Youtubers on this list, Kara and Nate are my absolute favorite. If you take away one thing from this article, its to go watch Kara and Nate’s channel immediately.

What began as one year of travel quickly became 5 years of full-time travel and over 2 million subscribers on YouTube.

In 2016, they began as budget travelers backpacking southeast Asia and eating tons of street food. Now, they are living van life in the United States.

In the past 5 years, they have visited 100 countries, made hundreds of vlogs, and visited all 7 continents.

I love the casual nature of Kara and Nate’s vlogs. They give you a glimpse into their relationship, the amazing destinations they visit, and the trickier parts of travel as well.

You will soon feel like friends with this adventure-loving, coffee-addicted, foodie couple.  I binged all their videos in early 2021, and I recommend you do the same!

Otherwise, be sure to check out their Antarctica series first, it is sure to blow you away.

Now, if you are already aware of Kara and Nate (or one of their 3+ million followers), keep reading for other great YouTube Travel Couples.

2. Tim & Fin

travel blogging couple

Expertise : Bucket List Travel

Video to Watch First : Crossing it Off Series

Tim & Fin are self-proclaimed “not influencers.” They use their successful Amazon business and location independence to travel the world and share their unfiltered experiences.

Unlike other vloggers that rely on sponsorships, Tim and Fin are able to share their honest opinions about the destinations they visit.

They create a variety of content ranging from traditional travel vlogs to long-form videos to series about adventure travel or RV travel.

Their most recent series is about crossing 50 items off their bucket list because “the world is big and life is short”.

This series got me hooked on the channel and captures activities such as skiing in the alps or wine tasting in Tuscany.

3. Dan & Chelle

travel blogging couple

Expertise : Full Time Travel

Video to Watch First : Croatia Series

Dan and Chelle have been one of my long-time favorite travel couples. Until recently, they only traveled a few times per year, but I always looked forward to their videos.

Starting in spring of 2022, they set out on full time travel, and to produce daily travel vlogs. They’re now back stateside but still travel often and share it on YouTube.

Their full time travel started with the adventure of hiking Kilimanjaro, then headed to European destinations such as Iceland, Portugal, and Romania.

Their vlogs are super laid-back, and their personalities are infectious. Plus, with their daily videos, you’re never short on content to catch up on.

4. The Awkward Tourists

Expertise : World Travel

Video to Watch First : Anything from Europe

The Awkward Tourists YouTube channel is dedicated to helping people explore the world in a fun and unconventional way. From road trips and adventure stories to unique cultural experiences, the Awkward Tourists capture it all on video for their followers.

Each video offers viewers a glimpse into travel life abroad as well as practical tips for travelers.

Whether you’re looking for an entertaining way to learn about new places or just need a good laugh, the Awkward Tourists have something for everyone!

5. Adventures of Matt and Nat

Matt and Nat youtubers travel couple

Expertise : Travel with a Full Time (non-remote) Career

Video to Watch First : Ireland series

Matt and Nat are my newest favorite travel couple on YouTube. The way they capture their travels is very authentic and genuine.

I first started watching their 50 states series, where they visited every US state in one year.

Now, they are checking bucket-list activities off from a book of 1000 things to do before you die. I love how they always have a travel “goal” but also soak in the culture of each and every place they visit.

Cruise Couple Travel Vloggers

6. trev & chels.

trev and chels travel couple on a boat in italy

Video to Watch First : Freedom of the Seas from Puerto Rico Series

In the travel community, there are cruise lovers and haters. Some feel cruising is too fast to truly see a destination and others love the fast pace.

I fall into the latter category as a cruise lover. Trev & Chels are the same! While they aren’t full-time travel bloggers, they create amazing videos from cruises and a few other destinations.

I fell in love with Trev & Chels videos after my Royal Caribbean cruise was cancelled in 2021. They have multiple cruising series to the Caribbean and Alaska .

They also work for Royal Caribbean to create content, so it’s super interesting to see the behind the scenes of the commercial side of the business.

If you are considering cruise travel, plan to take a cruise, or are a fellow cruise enthusiast, be sure to check this amazing couple out!

7. Griff & Alyssa

Griff and Alyssa Cruise Vloggers

Video to Watch First : Harmony of the Seas Series

Griff & Alyssa are another pair of fantastic cruise vloggers. Their vlog showcases cruises on many different cruise lines including Disney, Carnival, Royal Caribbean , and Virgin.

They do a great job showcasing life on the boat and at port. As Florida residents, they also share great Disney content.

Griff and Alyssa recently had a daughter, Noa. Now they’re a great resource for traveling with a baby in addition to couple’s cruise travel.

Since Griff and Alyssa travel frequently, they never have a shortage of new and exciting vlogs. Be sure to check out their YouTube channel and become a part of their “Paradise Crew”.

8. Views and Queues

travel blogging couple

Video to Watch First : Norway Series

Views and Queues is a great YouTube channel for cruise lovers. They frequent both Royal Caribbean and Disney cruise line.

Their videos are typically long-form, showing their vacation day-by-day. They often stay in unique suites and offer super detailed room tours.

Both of them have full time jobs and content creation is now their main source of income. Because of this, their videos are very casual and focused on quality, relatable content, which I love!

Van Life / RV YouTube Travel Couples

9. the endless adventure.

travel blogging couple

Video to Watch First : Any of their “what to eat” vlogs

The Endless Adventure is a long-time full-time travel couple. They have videos traveling all around the world. Most recently, they began visiting all 50 states from their renovated RV.

It’s super fun to see them visit some of the less popular states and show off the hidden gems. These two are always joking around and feel like friends just from watching their videos.

10. Eamon & Bec

eamon and bec youtube channel logo

Video to Watch First : Their Baja Mexico series

Eamon & Bec are a vegan, Canadian couple that have been doing van life for the better part of the past decade.

On their channel, you can watch their van life series from Morocco, Mexico, the United States, and Canada. They are super fun and goofy, and infectious to watch.

Their lifestyle has changed recently, following Bec’s battle with breast cancer and their baby due in 2023. However, I still highly recommend watching their channel!

11. Ian and Ana

headshot of ian and ana

Video to watch first : Any recent upload from Europe van life

Ian and Ana are couple travel bloggers that have become known for their van life in the US and in Europe. They share destination vlogs and great couple travel tips.

They’ve also recently adopted the three cutest kittens that travel in the van with them!

I recommend watching Ian and Ana to learn about full-time van life and to see amazing bucket-list destinations around the world.

12. Kinging It

kinging it youtube profile photo

Video to Watch First : Their collab with Kara and Nate in Norway

Craig and Aimee of Kinging It are one of the most entertaining travel couples. Their content is primarily based in Europe, in their unique van and bus builds.

I recommend watching Craig and Aimee if you want a good laugh!

Disney Travel Couples

13. ordinary adventures.

Video to Watch First : Disney Aulani series

My favorite Disney travel creators are Ordinary Adventures. They are based in California and frequent Disneyland, but also visit other Disney parks such as Disney World or Tokyo Disney.

They also produce great cruise content on Royal Caribbean and Disney cruises.

Ordinary Adventures have created a great travel community, with inside jokes, and super relatable content. If you are planning a Disney vacation , be sure to check them out!

It has been an excellent way for us to meet and introduce you to these incredible couple travel blogs over the years.

Margherita and Nick from the crowded planet

Margherita and Nick met in the dusty corners of a London food market in 2004, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

The love of travel is what brought them together, and in 2009 they left London to backpack around the world for two years.

After that, they couldn’t quite ‘settle’ back into normal life – so they continued travelling and sharing their stories on their blog The Crowded Planet, online since 2013 and focusing on sustainable nature and adventure travel.

Their favourite things (in no particular order) are hiking, eating street food, finding the best craft beer bars, and spending time with their cat Tappo.

3. Something Of Freedom

something of freedom top travel bloggers

Sam and Natalia met in a hostel in Auckland and since then have spent most of their time travelling together. Just a few months after meeting, they had the idea of starting an Instagram account to share pictures from their travels.

In mid-2017 they launched the Something of Freedom blog to run alongside the Instagram account, sharing destination guides and travel tips in the hope of inspiring others to travel.

Wherever they go, they try to discover lesser-known spots, from hidden waterfalls to secret beaches. That’s not to say they won’t visit more popular attractions like Machu Picchu though!

Since meeting in 2015, they’ve travelled through Central America, South America, Asia, Europe and Oceania, with highlights including Iceland, Colombia and staying in a favela in Rio de Janeiro during carnival!

Hi, we’re Heather and Pete, UK travel bloggers with a penchant for castles, afternoon tea and all things Morocco.

Our travel style is “Adventure by day, Luxury by night”, so whilst you’ll find us learning to plough rice paddy fields with water buffalo in Laos, and hiking unknown Inca trails in Peru, you’ll also discover that we love sleeping in quirky comfort, whether it’s in a decadent tree house deep in the Amazon Rainforest or a renovated corn mill in Yorkshire.

We have plenty of mishaps along the way, from being wrongly arrested for smuggling in the Galapagos to being caught in a shoot-out in Lesotho, but firmly believe it’s “all part of the adventure”.

We’re known for our ‘expertise’ on Morocco, a place we fell in love with many moons ago and somewhere we return to at least once a year.

A Rare Peek Into The Love Life Of 15 Top Travel Blogging Couples

There is no doubt that we travel a lot and we've experienced some pretty amazing romantic locations from dinner in a 15th century monastery in Florence to sailing the crystal Caribbean Sea in Belize to walking under the sea in Bali. So when Valentine's Day comes around I seem to get stuck for ideas.

So I decided to ask our some of our favourite couple travel bloggers all about their private love lives in the hopes this would inspire us with great ideas for a future Valentine's Day and perhaps you too.

But first a little about us...

Josh & Erin Travel With Bender

We often refer to ourselves as the Bender family. But there is a long history before those two adorable children became part of the picture.

How Did You Fall In Love?

Josh and I are highschool sweet hearts. Yup, Josh first asked me out way back when we were 16. We had a pretty steady relationship right up until I moved to London at 20. While I was in living in London I learned one very important lesson: I could not live without Josh, I was in love. Lucky for me he travelled from Australia to the UK to beg me  ask me nicely to return home. I did. Once I returned home he proposed and we were married.

Where Was Your 1st Valentines Day?

1997 - gosh, really? Now you are asking me to sift through the memories. I believe we were in our last year of high school. So it would of been a school day. I am sure we went out to dinner or something though haha. We are coming up to 20 Valentine Day's together - EPIC!

What's 2015 Valentines Day Look Like?

We celebrated early this year at a luxury resort in Nusa Dua, Bali . It was an all-inclusive hotel with a kids club. It was the most time we spent together as a couple in awhile. We went ocean kayaking, did a sea walking tour, had a couples massage and sipped cocktails at the swim up pool bar. It was relaxing and just about the two of us, which was perfect. For a couple who travel the world full time with kids, this is what we wanted the most.

travel blogging couple

Dave & Deb  The Planet D

I met Dave & Deb in Crete , Greece and then again a few months later in Sri Lanka . They are an adventure couple from Canada who are seriously just the cutest.

We met the good old fashioned way, at a bar. The bar was the hottest spot in town and it was called Tequila Willies. There was a Blue Rodeo cover band playing (Blue Rodeo was a popular Canadian band at the time) and Dave and I both had similar cowboy boots. My college housemate Melissa yelled, "you two have the same cowboy boots!" And the rest is history. We both put our feet up on the stage and tapped in sync to the music. The next day Dave gave me a call and we went on our first date two days later. Ever since we've been inseparable.

We were both still in college our first Valentines Day, so we would have most likely gone to Sharkey's on the waterfront in Burlington, Ontario. That was the "nice restaurant" that people our age went to. I do remember Dave had a dozen roses delivered to my class at school. I was the envy of all my friends. After dinner, I am sure that we went to Tequila Willies because that is where we always went. Our friends hung out and worked there and we always had so much fun together. We were already living together at that point to, so we had our own celebration when we got back to the townhouse.

We'll actually be in Canada this Valentines Day. Dave broke two vertebrae in his back in November and is still recovering a bit. He'll be good to start the adventure again in March but for now, we're still taking things a bit easy. We have a very expensive bottle of aged balsamic vinegar from Emilia Romagna that the lovely caretaker of Spessano Castle gave us. He was too kind to pull out a bottle of his own stock to give to us. It's soooo expensive! We have yet to open it because one - we hadn't been still enough to really sit down and enjoy it, and two - by the time we were home due to Dave's injury, he couldn't drink wine because of his pain medication. So now that we can truly enjoy it, we are going to splurge on a very expensive bottle of wine to go with our very expensive bottle of balsamic and then we are going to buy some very expensive Parmigiano-Reggiano to drizzle it all over. Then we are going to savour every bite. Dave is then going to make me dinner because he loves to cook. And then we are going to sit by the fire and reminisce because we don't get to do that a lot. It's going to be heavenly.

travel blogging couple

Cam & Nicole Traveling Canucks

Another remarkable Canadian couple, but these guys are newbie parents travelling the world.

We met 13 years ago while attending university in Victoria, British Columbia (Canada). We were both out for a night of partying with friends when we met at a night club (yes - you can find love on the dance floor!). Two days later, we went for coffee. Coffee turned into a 6 hour date that ended with drinks and dinner. We kept it casual for the first few months but continued to date even after Cameron moved back to Vancouver a few months later. We later moved into a small apartment for a few months before taking off to Malaysia for Nicole to finish her final semester on university exchange.

Honestly, we can't remember our first Valentines Day. It would have been around 9 months after we met. I'm not sure if we even celebrated Valentines Day back then? If we did, it clearly wasn't memorable.

Our wedding anniversary is Feb 4 th  so we typically combine Valentines Day with our anniversary. This year, we had an epic anniversary in Banff / Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta. We spent 4 days without our boys for the first time EVER. We stayed in the cutest mountain lodge in the middle of nowhere. Our days were spent snowboarding, snowshoeing and dog sledding, while our evenings were spent being wined and dined at fancy restaurants. It will be very hard to top this one!

travel blogging couple

Anton & Rache Our Awesome Planet

Anton's blog was my bible while we were in Manila , but I never met him until Sri Lanka. What a gorgeous man with a big future.

I met Rache in the engineering college in La Salle in 1991. During my freshman year, I would stalk here in the library and try to do "ninja" tactics that did not work. We both had our own relationship in college and during our early professional careers. 10 years after In 2001, we met again both heartbroken and found comfort in each other. We got married on January 11, 2003. I launched the blog, Our Awesome Planet on January 2005 when our first son Aidan was born to document the food and travel adventures of the family.

Our first valentines day together was when I was courting her in college. The concept is secret romantic picnic in Tagaytay which is about one and a half hours away south of Manila. I bought the food and put it in a picnic basket, with a heart cage for a butterfly that we will release together, and a Nokia phone valentines gift.

We will be travelling together with our four sons: Aidan, Joshua, Raphael and Ysrael to Bataan about two and a half hours away north of Manila. It would be a crazy weekend with the boys for sure!

travel blogging couple

Chris & Tawny Captain and Clark

Chris and Tawny were a powerhouse on stage at a conference I attended in Athens, Greece I just had to meet them. I got the opportunity to not only meet them, but become friends with them in Sri Lanka. Fun and adorable I am sure are their middle names.

Our love story is an unconventional one. We met while on a study abroad trip to Tanzania. While we attended the same university, we had never seen each other before we departed for Africa. Our first conversations were had as we climbed Kilimanjaro and lounged on the sunny beaches of Zanzibar. We fell in love shortly after.

Chris actually had to work the night of our first Valentine's day together, but he called me to come visit him as his shift was ending. The restaurant was closed by the time I got there, but he had the fireplace on with a table next to it. On the table was a bottle of champagne and a delicious chocolate cake. We spent the remainder of the night cozied up by the fire with the whole place to ourselves. It was magical.

We're actually planning on spending this Valentine's day in Portland, Oregon. We have reservations at a famous pizza parlor and I'm going to attempt to sneak in some shopping.

travel blogging couple

Stephanie & Mike 20-Something Travel

I met Stephanie in Sri Lanka and she really was a fun loving, party girl. Her story with husband Mike is an industry love.

Mike and I met in the most travel blogger-y way possible: at TBEX in New York City! As you can probably guess, we've spent most of our relationship wandering around the world and writing about it.

Our first Valentine's day together was in Hoi An Vietnam- we dressed up fancy in our new tailored clothes and went to a nice dinner. Since then we've celebrated the holiday in Argentina, Finland and Mexico.

This year will be our first Valentine's day in the US but we're not staying home. We'll be celebrating in Maui!

travel blogging couple

Nellie & Alberto WildJunket

Nellie is a super adventurous chick who I also met in Sri Lanka. Unbeknown to her she was 6 months pregnant at the time!

Alberto and I met almost 11 years ago when we both went on a study abroad program in Miami, US. As cliché as it sounds, it was love at first sight. Within a month, we were together 24/7, hanging out at parties, spending weekends together and traveling around the US. We had to return to our respective home - Spain and Singapore - after the six-month stint, but we kept the relationship going and haven't been apart ever since. ;)

For the first Valentines we spent together, we were living in London and Alberto surprised me by going home early from work and whipping up a feast for me in our tiny studio apartment. It was his first time cooking and while the meal wasn't great, it warmed my heart.

On Valentines Day 2009, Alberto did a grand gesture by  proposing to me on my blog ! He took me out for a nice dinner in Singapore and when we went home, he insisted that I check my computer. So the first thing I did was to open my blog of course, and there it was, a blog post written by Alberto, asking me to marry him. When I finished reading, i turned around to see him on one knee, with a ring in his hand. Of course I said yes!

For this Valentines Day, we're going on a trip to Mijas, a charming little town in the south of Spain. It's going to be a quiet affair as we're expecting a baby (who's due in a month's time!) I guess you can say this Valentines Day is going to be the last one we're spending alone. ;)

travel blogging couple

Ish & Heather Globetrotting Mama

Heather is a wonderful mum and a gorgeous wife. We knew we wanted to hear from this Canadian about how she spends her Valentine's Day.

Ish and I met when I was 18 at a nightclub in Toronto. I was in my last year of high school and he was a college man! LOL. Late night phone calls and meetings after school convinced me that we would be good friends pretty quickly. He stuck by me through my years at university in Ottawa and despite the difficult separation, totally backed my decision to then turn around and go to law school in Windsor, Ontario. When I finished that degree he popped the question. 2015 will mark 25 years of us being together as a couple and 16 years of marriage.

Wow, That’s so far back I can’t even remember. It would have to have been in Toronto but I’m pretty sure I got flowers and chocolate. That was his staple go to Valentine’s approach for a long time. Don’t knock it if it works, right?

We aren’t huge Valentines Day fans. Trying to get a reservation or do something together on the 14th always results in either overpriced gestures and comes off as being more about the day than the couple involved. We are having a lunch date at some point in February. On the night itself? You’ll likely find us cuddled up with the kids watching movies on the couch. It’s a happy place for us so no regrets here.

travel blogging couple

Mike & Megan Mapping Megan

You know I have never met Megan, but I feel like we are great friends. She is a fun, vibrant Aussie now living in the US and chasing her travel dreams.

Mike and I met in Tanzania after both having summited Mt Kilimanjaro!  I love the reactions that we get from people when they ask: “So you’re from Australia, he’s from America, where did you both meet?”  My response is always: “Africa – as you do!”

We only spent a day together in Tanzania before both having to catch flights to our different corners of the globe; however we kept in contact regularly.  Having a passion for travel was the only way our long distance relationship actually worked – the only way to see each other was to travel, so we began planning ‘dates’ in different destinations.  Our first ‘date’ was in Scotland, and then we travelled to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Sydney, New York, and everywhere in-between.

While our first official valentines day as a couple was spent apart (gotta love long distance) we made up for that two years later with an intimate outdoor wedding on February 14 2013 on the beautiful Hawaiian Island of Maui. We will forever be each other's Valentines.

Valentines 2015? You mean married couples celebrate Valentines Day?! Kidding - we'll be doing what we love to do most when we're stuck at home - planning our next big trip.

travel blogging couple

Mike & Anne Honey Trek

These newlyweds weren't keen on a normal honeymoon. They decided they needed at least 675 days to honeymoon all around the world.

Nine years ago we were set up by a mutual friend—not for a date, but to play doubles volleyball. It took a few months of courting—including a river rafting trip, homemade jewelry, an 80s dance party, and text message poetry—but eventually Mike's adventurous spirit and big heart (plus, devastating good looks) won Anne over.

Our first Valentine's together was in Cuba. We flew into Havana, rented a car and drove southwest exploring tobacco country, deserted beaches, colonial towns and sleeping in local homes, even a meteorological weather station. I think entering a country illegally as our first romantic getaway was a sign for the adventures to come.

As for this Valentine's, we are heading to Phoenix, Arizona for a family reunion but we'll be sure to sneak away for a hike into the Sonoran Desert with some wine and chocolate in our pack.

travel blogging couple

Hai & Jessica Notes of Nomads

We love these guys and seem to bump into them everywhere. My favourite memory was of our time with them in Croatia and our hike around the most scenic waterfalls ever - Plitvice Falls.

We first met during university when we were both working part-time at a department store in Melbourne. We didn’t start dating for two years but having already gotten to know each other fairly well by then, we decided on travelling the world together soon after.

Our first Valentine’s Day was spent eating Thai take-out while mapping out that very journey that started this whole travel lifestyle.

A decade on, this year we’ll be in our adopted home base of Tokyo, eating a different kind of Asian food but no doubt eagerly planning our next crazy travel adventure.

travel blogging couple

DJ & Michael Dream Euro Trip

Josh met DJ in Finland. He is full of energy and the life of the party.

I met the man of my dreams in Stockholm when I was living there and working at the Philippine Embassy in Stockholm while he was finishing his Masters degree at Uppsala University. I just moved to Sweden and so on our first meeting and first date he helped me move my stuff to my new apartment in Stockholm. The next day he prepared breakfast in bed for me. I knew right then that he's a keeper!

Our first Valentines Day together was in Malta . We escaped the winter in Stockholm for 2 weeks in February and spent it exploring all corners of this small country. The next ones were celebrated in the Philippines and Germany.

We love traveling during Valentines but this year we will probably spend it in costumes at Carnival in Cologne, Germany.

travel blogging couple

Paul & Karen Global Help Swap

We've met this couple in several different countries and even stayed in their one bedroom apartment in London. They are sweet and seriously a good looking couple.

We actually met when I was 18 and Paul was 21. We both lived in Malta at the time - I grew up there while Paul moved there when he was 16. He had bleached blonde hair at the time and his British accent made him quite irresistible. We dated for a couple of weeks which was pretty disastrous, we broke up and lost touch. Fast forward 12 years later. We were both living in London and met up again at a mutual friend's birthday party. Paul had just come out of a long term relationship and I had been single for a while. He wanted to take me out on a date but I wasn't so sure, given our history and his newly single status. So we just hung out together, just as friends. A few months later I had had a horrible day at work and I remember thinking that I just needed a hug. I met up with Paul later on that day and told him all about it. He got up and gave me one of the loveliest hugs I'd ever had. We had a great night out together and at the end of the night he gave me this whole speech about why we should be together. Whatever he said, worked. We kissed that night over 6 years ago and have been pretty inseparable since then.

Without knowing Paul made a big wish of mine come true. I had never visited Paris as I had this romantic notion that I wanted to be taken there for my first visit. Paul had no clue about this when he organised a day out in Paris following the movie 'Before Sunset''s trail. When we got to the train station in London and I found out where we were heading I started crying my eyes out like a crazy woman. That was pretty embarrassing.

We will definitely be in Sri Lanka which is great. But apart from that we haven't made any specific plans yet. I'm hoping Paul has a surprise up his sleeve :)

travel blogging couple

Nick &  Dariece Goats On The Road

Those Canadians really love to travel. This couple travel at their own pace, free from the 9 - 5 job stress and loving life.

We were actually friends for about 3 years before we started dating, which is great because there aren't any secrets from our pasts! The day that we became more than just friends was on a fateful day driving from Alberta to British Columbia and there was a mudslide on the highway. No traffic could get through, so we did what we had to - we rented the nearest hotel room for the night, and the rest is history.

We spent our first Valentine's Day together at a resort near Tulum, Mexico. It was our first time travelling abroad together and it was very romantic! Nick even surprised me with a diamond necklace at dinner. I'll never forget how nervous he was, I thought he was proposing!

We're actually spending this Valentine's Day in Mexico again! This time we'll be in the State of Oaxaca, but not sure which city yet. Every day that we spend together is special, but I'm sure we'll do something extra romantic on February 14th this year.

travel blogging couple

Jen & Tim Luxe Adventure Traveler

Jen is a beautiful American living in Italy. She loves luxury, but also adventure.

We met in Las Vegas, but it wasn't the usual meet on the Strip story. I was going to UNLV and a manager at Blockbuster Video. Tim got a part time job after he moved to Las Vegas and all the new hires for the Vegas Valley came through my store for training. In just the three days he spent at my store for his training program, I knew he was the one.

Our first Valentine's Day together wasn't too exciting, but very sweet. I had a class that ran until the late evening and when I got home, he had 'I love u' spelled out in candles and had made us a spaghetti dinner.

We're spending this Valentine's Day, which also happens to be our 13th wedding anniversary, truffle hunting and wine tasting in Istria, Croatia.

Oren & Cassie 42nd Class

We met this guys in the Czech Republic and hung out with them nearly every day we were they. They are fun loving and good lookin'. Josh also gate crashed their Christmas in Israel a few years back too.

We met in a fairly normal but completely strange way. We met at work. That's the normal part. Oren was a reporter at a TV station in Dover, Delaware. For those in Oz, that's an incredibly small state that's not all that important to the rest of the country. Kinda like a mini-Tasmania. In summer of 2007, Cassie was hired to work at the same station. Here's the strange part. Cassie was hired to replace Oren. Oren vowed never to talk to her, but basically changed his mind the second he saw Cassie. Instead, he took her out on a date, and the rest - as they say - is history.

Our first Valentine's Day? Wow, that's going back a few years. We tried to remember what we did on our first Valentine's Day, but we couldn't remember. At the time, we lived 3.5 hours apart, so one of us visited the other one. We almost certainly spent a weekend relaxing together, either in Dover, DE (where Cassie was) or Norfolk, Virginia (where Oren was).

We're super-excited for this question (and, consequently, this answer!)! This Valentine's Day, we'll be boarding a plane for Panama, making it our 32nd country together. We'll be there for a week, and we intend to enjoy every minute of it.

Valentine's Day now has a double meaning for us. Last Valentine's Day, Oren was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in Nepal while we were halfway through traveling around the world. That week was the hardest week of Oren's life, as we spent time in two different hospitals in a Third World country. After a month at home recovering, we got back on the road and finished our trip. It was a way of saying Oren controls his disease, not the other way around. Traveling on this Valentine's Day is an extension of that sentiment. Diabetes will not slow Oren down, and we're thrilled to celebrate it together, on the road, enjoying life, and enjoying each other.

Reader Comments...

You made me almost cry Bender. I totally love this post. Even more so as I know most of these bloggers. Well done. Love is definitely on this page.

Aww! Thank you so much for including us. There was so much love in the post and we really enjoyed learning how all of the couples met.

What a beautiful post guys! There's so much love and wanderlust in the lives of this amazing couples, some of them, my favorite travel bloggers. Oh well, and for the single ones like me, there's the hope that next year our wandering one will be by our side at some exotic location :)

This was so much fun to read! I loved everyone's fun stories about how they met and I'm glad to see Eric and I aren't the only travel couple who met in a bar! haha Happy Valentine's Day!

I love this! And so many of my favourite travel couples. I found that so many of us had a lot in common when it comes to Valentine's Day. Many of us met in college, many of us can't remember or didn't do too much on our first Valentine's Day and many of us had an immediate connection. I'm with Nellie, it's sounds silly and cliché but Dave and I were "love at first sight as well." We annoyed all our college friends and room mates. It's sort of never stopped how connected (and sometimes annoying) we are :) Happy Valentines Day out there to all the traveling couples!

This is too cute -- put a huge smile on my face. Perhaps the best way to celebrate Valentines day is just to reminisce on the most romantic thing you've done with each other! Well done, and thank you!

So cute to see how everyone met. A great roundup!

Great lovely post that took us everywhere and with everyone to enjoy some of the bestest Valentine's Days in the life of those wonderful travel blogging couples! Thanks for sharing your stories, ya' all! and Happy Valentine's Day to each of you, once more! Cheers and Happy Trails! Jul'

Great post! Thanks so much for including us and our story - was great getting to pry into the love lifes of other bloggers out there :D Happy valentines day everyone!

Oooh, I love reading how my fellow travel bloggers met. It offers a different insight into their lives and makes them that much more fun to read.

You made me smile, seeing people together and in love is always awesome. Next year I'll send you our story :P

i just loved this post !!! So exciting to read that love blossoms in so many different ways all I've the world!!!

Very inspiring post. This is another travel tidbits that Ive learned from you. Thanks for spreading the love.

Thanks so much for including us in this post! It was so awesome to hear how all these couples met. Some really great stories here! Hope everyone's having a great Valentine's Day!

I loved reading this post! Love seeing so many couples sharing a passion for travel together!

Hi Erin, What a perfect Valentines Day post -- to showcase traveling couples. It proves, once again!, how fabulous traveling is, because to share the world with the one you love is simply the gosh-darned BEST! Wishing you safe and happy travels -- to all those cool couples, Josie

15 Inspiring Travel Couple Bloggers You Should Follow

Today marks our 2 year wedding anniversary and tomorrow we embark on another “honeymoon” trip to Africa! Since our first honeymoon in St. Lucia , we knew we wanted to celebrate a honeymoon every year. Last year we spent the summer in Europe and celebrated our anniversary a little early at the Grotta Palazzo restaurant in Puglia, Italy. Now we are going to our third continent and adding four more countries to our list. Since we met, we have done nothing but create memories through destinations. We could not ask for better partners to not only enjoy life together, but to also go on unique trips throughout the world. It is one thing to find your partner, but another to find your travel partner.

travel blogging couple

To celebrate our love, we want to share travel couple bloggers who inspire us with their love in each other and traveling. Each couple is different than the next. They all have amazing content and love for one another. Some may focus on food and travel tips while others may focus on lifestyle and photography. Everyone’s personalities shine throughout their blog, but really shine bright in their About page. You will find their About page hyperlinked into their title. We have also included their niche (besides love and travel), a romantic or adventurous article and their social media platforms to follow – trust us, you are going to fall in love with each one of these couples.

We got married in 2015, therefore I am going to share 15 travel couple bloggers you should follow! But first, here are two wedding pictures to celebrate our two year wedding anniversary. Here is to many more years full of travel, life and blogging!

So great to see so many people travelling together. Fascinated by how they are all younger travellers, well younger than us ?. We are in our late forties and fifties having given up everything for a life in the road ready to feed our adventurous souls. If you ever do another blog like this one, which is great, we would love to feature as an older couple fulfilling our wanderlust and writting about it.

1. Nomadic Matt

Nomadic Matt

By:  Matthew Kepnes

I have to be honest with you — I love everything about  Nomadic Matt .

Everything from his website’s design to his personal writing voice makes for an engaging reading experience. Not to mention that the name “Nomadic Matt” really sticks with me.

Matthew Kepnes, AKA Nomadic Matt, was once a cubicle worker who admittedly wasn’t always a big traveler. On his first trip back in 2004, he went to Costa Rica where his perspective in life transformed forever.

A single trip — that’s how easy it is to fall in love with travel.

Today, Matthew continues living the life he was born for. He primarily blogs about travel tips, encompassing topics like how to save for a trip and things to do in Singapore.

Blog Topics

  • Travel Insurance
  • Travel planning
  • Saving money on travel
  • Travel gear
  • Destinations

Monetization Strategies

  • Display advertisements
  • Superstar Blogging online course
  • Affiliate marketing ( Check: Best Travel Affiliate Programs )

2. Backpacking Matt

Backpacking Matt

By:  Matt Kyhnn

I think there’s something about the name “Matt” that raises a person’s affinity for traveling.

Backpacking Matt , owned and run by Matt Kyhnn, is a travel blog that has similar vibes with Nomadic Matt. It has a simplistic design, a memorable content tone, and striking travel photos that bring the blog’s stories to life.

Matt Kyhnn also leverages videos — providing his audience a more immersive way to enjoy his content.

Fresh out of college, Matt simply decided that he won’t settle for a 9-5 job. Instead, he spent months working and traveling across Ireland, Scotland, and other regions in mainland Europe.

He then booked a one-way ticket to New Zealand where he now resides. In addition to his blog, Matt also runs his own travel planning and booking website — Planit NZ.

Blog Topics

  • Affiliate marketing
  • Planit NZ travel planning and booking services
  • Brand collaborations

3. Adventurous Kate

Adventurous Kate

By:  Kate McCulley

Kate McCulley, AKA  Adventurous Kate , is a travel blogger with lots of adventures to tell.

She’s been to 83 countries, seven continents, and plenty of experiences to help women appreciate the traveling life.

Kate’s blog was built during her time in Southeast Asia along with her freelance portfolio, which helped fund her travels. Her target audience is women who want to travel, but required guidance on how to do it safely and easily.

The “Solo Female Travel” category on her blog consists of posts about travel safety, travel planning, destination guides, and more. She also compiled a list of travel resources that help turn her audience’s travel ideas into action plans.

  • Travel safety for women
  • Sponsored posts

4. The Blonde Abroad

The Blonde Abroad

By:  Kiersten “Kiki” Rich

I covered Kiersten “Kiki” Rich of  The Blonde Abroad   in my list of the top lifestyle bloggers to follow in 2024.

As her blog’s name suggests, she’s mainly a travel blogger who also discusses two other lifestyle-related topics — blogging and photography.

Kiersten spent three, eye-opening months in multiple countries to re-envision the idea of “ success .” She succeeded in her goal and is now one of the most accomplished travel bloggers on the web.

The Blonde Abroad covers a range of topics from travel photography to foreign cuisine. All of which draws wisdom from Kiersten’s personal travel experiences.

  • Photography
  • Travel destinations
  • The Travel Shop
  • Social media and influencer marketing consulting

5. California Through My Lens

California Through My Lens

By:  Josh McNair

Josh McNair, owner of  California Through My Lens , has a distinct writing style that vividly describes details of travel destinations.

Unlike bloggers who discovered the love for travel in their adulthood, Josh has always been a passionate traveler at heart. He created California Through My Lens to document his adventures with the online audience.

California Through My Lens is run by both Josh and his wife, Amy. The pair also has an active YouTube channel called Through My Lens where they share their experiences in video form.

As you may have guessed, Josh’s content focuses on the beaches, caves, hiking trails, waterfalls, and various landmarks in California. Intricate details of each location, from hike distances to specific travel tips, are often included in his posts.

  • National parks in California
  • Driving around California
  • California destinations
  • Selling eBooks
  • Advertisements through YouTube

6. Dan Flying Solo

Dan Flying Solo

By:  Daniel “Dan” Clarke

Dan Flying Solo   is by Daniel Clarke — a travel blogger, photographer, and creative director at his own Portugal-based media company.

Dan’s blogging life was ignited by his passion for photography. He was originally a frustrated restaurant manager who wanted more out of life.

Like me, Dan is a self-taught blogger. He worked day in and day out by doing free online courses, YouTube tutorials, and heaps of informative guides.

What makes Dan Flying Solo an extra noteworthy blog is its library of video content. Daniel also makes it clear that the site has no particular theme — not unlike everything else in life.

“ There’s not one particular theme to this blog because I don’t think that’s how life really is. We change and what we enjoy changes.”

7. Travel with Lakshmi

Travel with Lakshmi

By:  Lakshmi Sharath

Lakshmi Sharath worked on a desk job for multiple media organizations for 15 years. She then started her personal travel blog in 2005 — traveling to over 25 countries and across every corner of India.

Travel with Lakshmi has only grown steadily ever since. It won multiple awards, including “India’s best travel blog of the year” award from Indiebloggie.

As an Indian herself, Lakshmi made sure to highlight the country’s top travel destinations on the blog. She also documented her travels to foreign countries — from Abu Dhabi to the United Kingdom.

As a way to support aspiring travelers around the world, Lakshmi also covers important tips on starting a travel blog. This includes essential tips on photography, travel planning, and travel writing.

  • Social media marketing campaigns
  • Content marketing and writing services
  • Digital media consulting services

8. foXnoMad

foXnoMad

By:  Anil Polat

foXnoMad   is a unique travel blog run by digital nomad Anil Polat.

Anil was exposed to travel at a young age because his parents were journalists. Other than routine trips between Turkey and the United States, they also visited multiple destinations around the world.

Even in his professional life as a computer security consultant, travel was a big part of Anil’s life. He eventually decided to quit his job and fixate on one goal: to visit every country in the world.

What makes foXnoMad unique is that Anil utilizes his knowledge in tech to provide insightful tips on traveling smartly. He also develops apps that can help travelers in situations like determining water drinkability and calculating tips.

You can check out his podcast where he talks about current events, new product tech releases, and all things travel-related.

Some of the most prominent content formats in his blog are “ways to say” posts and phrase listicles. There are also fun, bite-sized stories like “How I Learned French on the Toilet in 6 Months.”

11. Alex in Wanderland

Alex in Wanderland

By:  Alexandra Baackes

Alexandra Baackes created  Alex in Wanderland   for two reasons.

First, she’s been dealing with a case of wanderlust all her life. And second, she’s a fan of a beloved, fictional character — Alice in Wonderland.

Alexandra is originally from Brooklyn, New York where she purchased her one-way ticket into the traveling life. She now blogs about the best travel destinations, outdoor activities, and her personal, travel-related gear.

One of the things I like about Alex in Wanderland is the presentation and categorization of content.

On the “Categories” page, Alex makes sure articles are well-organized based on topics like travel inspiration, activities, and planning. This makes it easy for her audience to find the information they need at any given time.

  • Outdoor activities

By:  Nadine Sykora

13. I Am Aileen

I Am Aileen

Just like Kiersten Rich, Aileen Adalid is another travel blogger whom I also featured in my top lifestyle blogs listicle.

Aileen runs  I Am Aileen   — an award-winning blog that discusses just about everything there is to discuss in travel. She writes about destinations, the best travel activities, foreign cuisine, and more.

What interested me the most about Aileen is her blogging background. At age 21, she quit her corporate job, which only paid $300 a month, to become a professional traveler.

Since then, she’s been on a streak of smashing goals and breaking barriers. Thanks to her commitment to quality content, she’s recognized as one of the top bloggers in Asia.

  • Online shop

14. Wandering Earl

Wandering Earl

By:  Derek Earl Baron

Here’s a fun trivia about  Wandering Earl .

Unlike most bloggers who use their first names, the “Earl” in “Wandering Earl” is actually a middle name. Blog owner Derek Earl Baron only thought that “Wandering Derek” didn’t sound as catchy.

Derek is a one-of-a-kind, adventurous soul who discovered his purpose as a modern nomad relatively early into adulthood. After graduating in 1999, he planned a three-month vacation across Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

That three-month vacation continues to this very day.

And that’s how Wandering Earl was created — documenting Derek’s adventures in over 100 countries. He also shares valuable pieces of wisdom on travel planning, food, budgeting, gear, and so on.

Wandering Earl has that “old-school” look and feel to it. On the plus side, the site’s design only highlights

  • Working while traveling
  • Selling “eGuides”

15. Be My Travel Muse

Be My Travel Muse

By:  Kristin Addis

Be My Travel Muse  is a solo female travel blog created by Kristin Addis.

She studied in Taiwan and kept an investment banking job for four years. The only problem was, her daily routine rendered her creative, dreamer side claustrophobic.

Her first step was a one-way ticket to Bangkok — envisioning a life of writing and travel. That’s exactly what she accomplished with her blog, which now caters to millions of readers all over the world.

Kristin believes that solo traveling is the best way for women to feel empowered and more confident. She prioritizes solo female travel tips on her blog, including guides on safety, packing, and maintaining relationships.

Be My Travel Muse also has heaps of content on popular travel destinations and self-care for women.

  • Self-help for women
  • Relationships
  • The Photo Muse Masterclass online course

16. Followtheboat

Followtheboat

By:  Liz Cleere and Jamie Furlong

Followtheboat   is a unique travel blog that focuses on a specific mode of transport: sailing.

It is created with love by a travel writer Liz Cleere and photographer Jamie Furlong. There’s also Millie the rescue cat, which functions as a source of inspiration and encouragement for the blog’s human founders.

Despite the focus on sailboats, Followtheboat’s content isn’t just made for sailors. The posts are tailor-made for travelers who also happen to be interested in the art and joys of sailing.

Don’t be surprised at the humor and dynamic range of topics on the blog. You’ll find posts like “tools you need on a sailboat” and “is this the weirdest loo in the world?”

Followtheboat also has a library of podcasts, which record Liz and Jamie’s experiences on their travels.

  • Boat maintenance
  • Patreon donations

17. Matthew Woodward

Matthew Woodward

By:  Matthew Woodward

If Followtheboat is about boats, you can probably guess what  Matthew Woodward   is a blog about trains.

Not to be mistaken for  Matthew Woodward  the internet marketer, Matthew Woodward the rail adventurer loved trains as a child. He owned model railway sets, traveled alone by train, and watched shows about trains on TV.

In his time as a geography student, he explored Europe with his trusty Interrail pass. He set his passion aside to focus on his career, which he eventually gave up to become a travel writer.

Today, he blogs about railway systems over different continents. He’s also an accomplished author of three books: “The Railway to Heaven,” “A Bridge Even Further,” and “Trans-Siberian Adventures.”

  • Railway systems
  • Traveling by train
  • Selling books

18. The Opposite Travellers

The Opposite Travellers

By:  Ryan and Rachel Riel

The Opposite Travellers   were created by married couple Ryan and Rachel Riel.

While both loved to travel, Ryan and Rachel had contrasting preferences when it comes to traveling.

Rachel prefers to travel in style and luxury — through the accommodations and services offered by establishments and travel agencies. Ryan, on the other hand, leans toward daring adventures like biking and trekking — on $5 per night accommodations.

The couple, however, utilized their differences as a selling point in The Opposite Travellers.

As such, the website’s “Travel” section has two main categories: “Luxury Travel” and “Adventure Travel.” In other words, the blog has a diverse content library for travelers of all tastes and budgets.

The Opposite Travellers also boasts high-quality visuals taken and produced by Ryan Riel. All of the site’s videos are published on Ryan Riel Media — Ryan’s official YouTube channel.

20. Bucket List Journey

Bucket List Journey

By:  Annette White

Travel is all about adventures, and so is life.

That’s the essence of the  Bucket List Journey   by Annette White.

The blog’s tagline is “tools and inspiration to live your list.” It refers to a person’s “bucket list,” which is basically a list of goals and experiences they want in life.

Annette didn’t always have such a positive outlook in life. She used to be diagnosed with anxiety, which caused her to miss out on life-enriching experiences and opportunities.

Eventually, she decided that she’ll no longer become a prisoner of fear and uncertainty. She had courage and took charge of her life’s direction — something every aspiring blogger needs to do at one point.

Bucket List Journey talks about bucket list-worthy destinations, motivation, money, and travel tips. Annette also imparts knowledge on people who also struggle with facing fear and making braver life decisions.

  • Overcoming fear and anxiety

21. Migrationology

Migrationology

By:  Mark Wiens

When I first visited  Migrationology , I wasn’t sure whether to classify it as a food or travel blog.

Then I checked out Mark Wiens’s “About” page. There, I learned that he viewed food as a way to connect with people in various cultures.

And to be exposed to these cultures, Mark dedicates his time, money, and efforts to travel.

Mark makes sure the blog only focuses on content based on his personal travels. It’s made for people who want to experience the flavors of the world — in person or through Mark’s posts.

Apart from general food travel blog posts and city guides, Migrationology also offers readers a “Food Tour” service. It is the result of a year of research done by Mark himself — in partnership with  Bangkok Vanguards .

  • Bangkok Food Tour

22. The Cranky Flier

The Cranky Flier

By:  Brett Snyder

We already mentioned a blog about boats and another about trains. It’s time to talk about a blog on airplanes and air travel.

Cranky Flier   is a unique blog created by Brett Snyder — President and “Chief Airline Dork” of Cranky Flier LLC.

Brett has been fascinated with airlines all his life. When he was young, he collected airline timetables and even spent a birthday with his grandmother watching planes land.

As an adult, he spent several years in the airline industry fulfilling multiple roles. He became a sales intern at USAir, senior analyst at America West, marketing planning product at United, and so on.

Today, Brett publishes his opinions about the airline industry on Cranky Flier. He also updates several series, like “Worst Airline Ever,” “Airlines We Lost,” and “Across the Aisle Interviews.”

I’ll let you determine what these series are all about based on what they’re called.

  • Airline industry
  • Cranky Concierge service

23. Never Ending Footsteps

Never Ending Footsteps

By:  Lauren Juliff

Lauren Juliff is one of those bloggers who already knew what they wanted to be from an early age.

She dreamt of traveling to new places, meeting new people, and exploring new cultures.  Never Ending Footsteps   is proof that she accomplished all three.

The blog consists of posts about Lauren’s fulfilling travels to different countries. But unlike a lot of famous travel bloggers, she also talks about the downsides of being a digital nomad.

Never Ending Footsteps has a “The Incidents” blog section where Lauren discusses the not-so-sexy aspects of traveling. She has been scammed, attacked by monkeys, locked out of her room, lost her passport, and more.

Despite these incidents, Lauren’s love for travel only grew. Such experiences increased her wisdom and travel acumen — resulting in some of the most insightful travel articles ever published.

Lauren also helps her audience get into the world of travel blogging. Check out “How to Start a Travel Blog” for information on web hosting, working with WordPress, and so on.

A Dangerous Business Travel Blog

By:  Amanda Williams

A Dangerous Business Travel Blog   is a straightforward blog made to help people travel.

It is created by Amanda Williams, who is a former journalist with degrees in journalism, hospitality, and tourism management.

Amanda first got into journalism by editing obituaries — eventually becoming a copy and layout editor at a newspaper company. She started A Dangerous Business Travel Blog in 2010 out of boredom and her need for a creative outlet.

25. Against the Compass

Against The Compass

By:  Joan Torres

How do you make a travel blog stand out?

Joan Torres has a surefire answer: covering the most unusual and “off the beaten track” destinations.

Against The Compass   is a unique blog that talks about the travel routes and destinations you probably haven’t heard of. It covers destinations that people don’t normally include in their bucket list, like Pakistan, Tunisia, Syria, and other high-risk countries.

Of course, Joan makes sure to highlight the importance of safety when traveling in relatively low-popularity destinations. He has comprehensive guides for solo female travel, travel insurance, and general travel safety.

  • Travel insurance

26. Everything Everywhere

Everything Everywhere

By:  Gary Arndt

In travel blogging, a picture is undeniably worth a thousand words. There’s simply no excuse for any travel blogger to forego the inclusion of visual content in their posts.

Gary Arndt’s absolutely nailed it with his photography work for  Everything Everywhere .

Gary actually won multiple, major travel photography awards — more than any travel photographer. His photography is so good that I suggest you check the “Travel Photos” page on Everything Everywhere.

Go ahead, take a break and thank me later.

Other than taking breathtaking photos, Gary also publishes detailed blog posts about the places he’s been. He’s been on the go for roughly 9 years non-stop, which means readers will never run out of material.

27. The Longest Way Home

The Longest Way Home

By:  David Ways

The Longest Way Home   started as the personal travel journal of David Ways — a solo traveler in search of home.

The blog originally started as David’s private, digital diary. As he journeyed across Europe and gained experience, it turned into a full-on blog with travel guides to specific locations.

David finally found home in Nepal before traveling to other parts of Southeast Asia.

He’s not the most nitpicky blogger in terms of grammar and spelling, but he’s definitely a brilliant storyteller. He’s also skilled in capturing and immortalizing moments into photos, which you can view on his blog’s gallery.

The Longest Way Home has a library of content about various destinations, trekking, and travel planning. It also features in-depth travel guides to Nepal, Thailand, and overland travel — plus a mini-guide to Portugal.

  • Travel planning
  • Overland travel

28. Global Grasshopper

30. HoneyTrek

HoneyTrek

By:  Mike and Anne Howard

Believe it or not,  HoneyTrek   is a travel blog about a honeymoon.

Yes — it’s probably the longest honeymoon ever.

Founders Mike and Anne Howard are a power couple with skills that can make any blog great. Anne is a former magazine editor whereas Mike’s a veteran digital media strategist and photographer.

Together, they’ve honeymooned to over seven continents and 60 countries while creating the most romantic travel blog in the process.

HoneyTrek contains a collection of posts about their travel destinations, experiences, and travel tips for all budgets. They also wrote two successful books: “Comfortably Wild” and “Ultimate Journeys for Two.”

32. The Adventurists

The Adventurists

By:  Tom Morgan

The Adventurists   is hands down one of the most well-designed travel blogs in this post.

The blog proves that integrating tons of video content into one page doesn’t have to affect its loading speed. In fact, the site loads surprisingly fast despite having several video panels on the homepage.

I’m not going to delve too deeply into this technical feat. What I’m going to focus on, however, is the brilliant team behind The Adventurists.

The site is founded by “Chief Idiot” — Tom Morgan. Apparently, most of the crazy ideas featured on the blog were his.

Every page on the site reflects Morgan and his team’s wackiness and passion for great adventures. They do, host, and document daring outdoor activities on air, land, and sea — plus, a whole lot of charity.

Their audience can also participate in these activities, which can be held in various parts of the globe. The “Monkey Run,” for example, is an event where participants race through dirt trails on tiny bikes.

The bottom line is, it’s hard to come up with unique ideas that set you apart in the blogging landscape. The Adventurists, on the other hand, managed to do so multiple times.

34. Hand Luggage Only

Hand Luggage Only

By:  Yaya and Lloyd

Hand Luggage Only   is a hugely successful travel blog by couple Yaya and Lloyd.

The site doles out travel advice, inspiration, photography tips, food reviews, and posts about must-see destinations. It also has a library of high-quality videos where Yaya and Lloyd describe their experiences in detail.

Yaya and Lloyd started the blog in 2014 with a plan to share their travel stories with the world. Within a few hours, they published their first posts using photos they already took and edited.

The moral of the story is, consider starting a blog if you already have a library of unused travel photos.

35. Travel4Wildlife

Travel4Wildlife

By:  Christina Garcia and Hal Brindley

It should only take anyone a second to figure out what  Travel4Wildlife   is all about.

The blog is created by couple Christina Garcia and Hal Brindley out of their passion for wildlife.

Hal is an experienced wildlife photographer for organizations like the Nature Conservancy Magazine, SEE Turtles, and RARE Conservation. Christina, on the other hand, is an experienced zoologist who worked on studies on wolves, cheetahs, and leopards.

Travel4Wildlife’s goal is to increase awareness and increase the appreciation for wildlife. More importantly, it was Christina and Hal’s life goal to promote wildlife conservation through responsible tourism.

Behind the scenes, the couple teams up to create compelling articles that focus on wildlife in specific destinations. The blog covers a range of species on different continents — from owls in South Africa to polar bears in Canada.

By:  Daniel Noll and Audrey Scott

Dan Noll and Audrey Scott are a pair of adventurers, storytellers, and tourism advisors who advocate for responsible traveling.

It’s clear that both Dan and Audrey believed that fulfillment can’t be found within the confines of your comfort zone. They explored, made connections, and shared their experiences through their travel blog.

Some of the topics you’ll find in Uncornered Market are about destinations, sustainable tourism, food, and trekking. Dan and Audrey also write about personal growth and experiential travel.

39. Jessie on a Journey

Jessie on a Journey

By:  Jessica “Jessie” Festa

Like plenty of bloggers, Jessica Festa needed a taste of life before discovering her true calling.

In her youth, Jessie traveled to mostly cruises in the Caribbean and road trips in North America. She also experienced being a sightseeing guide in New York.

Jessie on a Journey   is the result of her pursuing her dreams of getting paid to do something she loves. She now blogs about being a solo female traveler, blogging it, and profiting off of it.

I’m sure a lot of big-name bloggers are all too familiar with how Jessie made the blogging vision a reality.

For a long time, she felt that the workaday lifestyle isn’t for her. It made her feel like she’s living everyone else’s life — not the kind of life she wanted to keep.

Despite the disapproval of loved ones, Jessie decided to quit her secure job in favor of being a travel blogger.

She was just as unprepared as most people before starting their own blog. The key difference is, she went out there and took her first step.

40. Legal Nomads

Legal Nomads

By:  Jodi Ettenberg

Back when Jodi Ettenberg was in law school, she never would’ve guessed she’d run a successful travel and food business.

That happens to a lot of people, especially those who never thought of giving priority to their passions.

It’s just a hunch, but I think the name  Legal Nomads   had something to do with Jodi’s background in law.

Legal Nomads highlights destinations and local cultures just as insightfully as other travel blogs. What makes it different is that Jodi focuses on local cuisines to experience and tell the stories of each destination.

A huge part of Jodi’s blog is about wellness and gluten-free eating. She then utilized her knowledge and experience to create detailed restaurant cards, which travelers can use when visiting certain countries.

  • Gluten-free restaurant cards

41. Indiana Jo

Indiana Jo

By:  Jo Fitzsimons

Like Jodi Ettenberg, Jo Fitzsimons also used to practice law before becoming a successful travel and lifestyle writer.

Indiana Jo   started way back in 2010 where Jo can comfortably type away her thoughts and musings. Fed up with her full-time job, she went out to see the world as a digital nomad.

It wasn’t always smooth sailing for Indiana Jo, however. According to her, she thought about quitting the blog several times before finally realizing that it’s a lifetime thing.

Jo writes about her travel experiences, destinations, wine, and food. She also shares travel planning tips along with a long list of content about topics that personally interest her.

42. TravelFreak

TravelFreak

By:  Jeremy Scott Foster

TravelFreak   is the brainchild of Jeremy Scott Foster who left America in the middle of a recession and to Australia.

For a while, he racked up some savings as a traveling bartender. It took some time before he finally made the switch to be a digital nomad and online entrepreneur.

Jeremy created the blog to help people create opportunities to achieve the fulfilling life they deserve.

He writes about travel advice, destinations, gear, and ways to get your finances in order as you travel. This includes guides on how to land and keep a job abroad along with resources on reliable booking websites.

I personally like the way Jeremy designed TravelFreak to provide the best possible user experience. Unlike a traditional layout, the site features a search bar so readers can jump right into the content they need.

TravelFreak has been featured in Forbes, National Geographic, The New York Times, and a few other big-name publications.

43. The Everywhereist

The Everywhereist

By:  Geraldine DeRuiter

Before anything else, yes — that’s Rand Fishkin in the photo above.

And yes, the next travel blogger on this list is Rand’s longtime sweetheart and wife.

Geraldine DeRuiter was a former copywriter and went with Rand in his travels, which are often business-related. She then turned to the habit of documenting their travel experiences, which she described as “love letters” to her husband.

Today, Geraldine works full-time on  The Everywhereist   — named by Time magazine as one of the best blogs in 2011.

The Everywhereist contains posts about food and Geraldine’s travel experiences along with a comprehensive Philadelphia travel guide. The guide contains information on where to go, eat, shop, and stay.

Geraldine also wrote a book called “All Over The Place.” It chronicles how she embraced her love for blogging after being laid off, which aspiring bloggers can draw inspiration from.

44. Keep Calm and Travel

Keep Calm and Travel

By:  Clelia Mattana

Keep Calm and Travel   is a travel blog created by serial traveler Clelia Mattana.

Ever since she was 19, Clelia is a certified sea lover and globetrotter. But like many travel bloggers, she was given a choice between a secure job and the traveling lifestyle.

Clelia’s finalized her choice when she bought a one-way ticket to Asia. She then created Keep Calm and Travel to send a simple message:

“No matter what your age is, or your budget, or status, you can travel and live your life on your own terms.”

The blog’s topics include destinations across continents, photography, and travel gear. She also has a dedicated page for Sardinia, which is one of her absolute favorite travel destinations.

45. Practical Wanderlust

Practical Wanderlust

By:  Lia and Jeremy Garcia

Lia and Jeremy Garcia, who aptly labeled themselves a “travel couple” on Instagram, are the minds behind  Practical Wanderlust .

Jeremy is a film degree holder whose passions include writing and directing. He also became a high school teacher who taught filmmaking and digital media art.

Lia, on the other hand, has a fashion design and apparel merchandising degree. She took on roles in corporate merchandising before becoming a business systems analyst.

Why did I tell you all this? Simple: I want you to know what the pair had to give up pursuing their dreams of traveling.

Practical Wanderlust’s goal is to help other people enjoy travel in the most realistic and sensible approach possible. The blog is filled with detailed content on planning memorable trips on a budget, where to go, and staying safe.

The Voyageur

By:  Pauline Chardin

Pauline Chardin is a France-based fashion designer, photographer, and art director.

She always had a soft spot for travel — driven by her appreciation for picturesque architecture, landscapes, and good food. She started  The Voyageur   to help people view the world through her voice and eyes.

The Voyageur is a simple, yet aesthetic website achieved through Pauline’s incredible photography skills. Apart from itineraries and posts about hotels, food, art, and architecture, the site also has a sizeable photo gallery.

Images are accompanied by a brief article that describes the destination’s history and Pauline’s thoughts and emotions during her visit. I’m not sure what it is, but there’s something about this content format that’s truly engaging and relaxing.

48. Amateur Traveler

Amateur Traveler

By:  Chris Christensen

Don’t be fooled by the name —  Amateur Traveler   is by no means run by an amateur.

Chris Christensen is a skilled photographer, travel writer, and podcast host. The site also utilizes a long list of monetization strategies that I believe every blogger should learn.

True, he wasn’t the most experienced traveler when he started the blog. Before he created Amateur Traveler, he was a full-time EVP of engineering and operations for a company based in Silicon Valley.

In his defense, he grew up in a family that traveled a lot to national parks in a trailer. He also learned a lot of foreign languages, which he believes is a window into understanding and embracing different cultures.

Amateur Traveler discusses destinations, travel budgeting, planning, gear, and booking. The site also features a weekly podcast on the top destinations around the world.

49. Girl Eat World

Girl Eat World

By:  Melissa Hie

Melissa Hie is the “Girl” in  Girl Eat World  — a name that encapsulates what the whole blog is all about.

You see, Melissa’s three passions are food, travel, and storytelling. She started the blog in 2015 as a digital diary for herself and friends who need travel tips.

Prior to her blog’s success, she amassed quite a following on Instagram. This springboarded her blogging career, which she put in the back burner after focusing on her full-time career.

Girl Eat World is essentially a compendium of Melissa’s travel stories and travel planning guides. She also has an iconic style of capturing Instagram posts, which must be seen to be appreciated.

50. The Adventure Junkies

The Adventure Junkies

By:  Antonio Cala and Amanda Zeisset

The Adventure Junkies   is definitely not your average travel blog.

It’s not just about the travel stories of founders Antonio Cala and Amanda Zeisset. Upon visiting the blog for the first time, you’ll realize that it’s all about the community the blog has built.

New visitors are encouraged to join “ Summit ” — a free community for people who seek adventures through travel and outdoor activities. There, members can connect, plan events, share posts, ask questions, form groups, and discuss anything related to travel.

The Adventure Junkies also compile guides and resources about outdoor activities like diving, kayaking, mountain biking, and snowboarding. There’s also a section for visitors who’d like to learn about outdoor and underwater photography.

Antonio and Amanda started The Adventure Junkies as a personal blog about their three years of cycling. Over time, their readers began asking questions on how they can plan their own adventures.

The couple then realized that they need to create something more than a personal blog. As such, they transformed The Adventure Junkies as a one-stop shop for adventurists.

51. A Broken Backpack Travel Blog

A Broken Backpack

By:  Melissa Giroux

Melissa Giroux used to be a social worker who only traveled once a year.

Melissa created  A Broken Backpack   a year after her journey in the Canadian Rockies — hitch-hiking from point A to B. She continued working on her blog as a creative outlet while working on a farm in Australia.

It didn’t take long before A Broken Backpack’s popularity gained momentum and gave Melissa a new frontier.

The website contains crucial tips on travel gear, budgeting, destinations, and the life of a digital nomad. Melissa also put together in-depth guides on travel blogging, moving to another country as an expat, and backpacking.

53. Life Part 2

Life Part 2

By:  Jonathan Look Jr. and Sarah Wilson

The last blog on this list that your best life can start at any time you choose.

Let me tell you the story behind  Life Part 2   and the people behind it.

Jonathan Look Jr. and Sarah Wilson are both happy retirees with a simple mantra: “don’t waste your retirement.”

To them, retirement isn’t about being comfortable and secure. Rather, it’s all about the freedom to listen to your heart and follow where it takes you.

Jonathan and Sarah met in Chiang Mai, Thailand where they both agreed to see the world as a couple.

Life Part 2 is a mix of all things travel. At times, there’ll be a post about remote destinations and backpacking, and at other times, the theme is luxury travel.

You will, however, notice that the content topics on the blog often revolve around retirement, minimalism, and travel.

Planning to go on your own travel adventures? Perhaps you’re thinking of starting your very own travel blog?

It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a case of wanderlust or the desire to be a travel blogger yourself.

The list above has some of the best travel blogs ever created. They can provide you with ideas and inspiration for your next trip or first-ever travel blog post.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys are facing the proverbial fork in the road. When everyone believed the Cowboys should have geared up to stay in the arms race with the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers , the Cowboys opted to keep the course. Yet, Dallas let several of its veterans leave for free agency while trying to replenish their roster with draft picks. This has left many of their younger veterans having to be relied on for big years with little room for regression. Here are a few players to take a step forward in 2024.

Mazi Smith was the team’s top pick in last year’s draft and his selection was a change in philosophy. The Cowboys knew they needed to fortify their run defense, and added Smith in the first round was spending a premium resource on addressing a necessity rather than scrambling for spare parts. Smith came to the Cowboys as a defensive tackle who excelled at stuffing the run and dominating interior offensive linemen with his power while having enough quickness to provide some pass rush upside.

However, things didn’t go as planned for Smith as he saw minimal action in his first season, playing only 26% percent of the defensive snaps. In total, Smith had just 13 tackles, three for a loss, and one sack. Smith also lost weight, slimming down the two-gapper to fit better in Dan Quinn’s scheme. After losing Jonathan Hankins to the Seattle Seahawks in free agency, the time is now for Smith to step up and occupy that role to fortify the rush defense. Smith needs to respond in a big way for himself and the team in his sophomore season.

Terence Steele

Terence Steele’s expectations have always been high, even when starting as an undrafted rookie in place of La’el Collins. The team supported Steele, taking the good with the bad. Overall, Steele has become a good run blocker throughout his career. Yet, what draws the ire of many is his intermittent troubles with pass protection. After sustaining an ACL injury in 2022, the Cowboys again stood by Steele and gave him a massive five-year, $86.8 million contract extension. At the time, the contract raised eyebrows, and now, after last season, it raises blood pressure.

Steele once again had troubles in pass protection, and the hope is that he can right his wrongs in 2024. The Cowboys’ offensive line is in transition. Yes, Tyler Smith is an excellent left guard, but two rookies, Tyler Guyton and Cooper Beebe, likely will start at left tackle and center, respectively. This could also be Zack Martin’s final year with the Cowboys. Dallas would be much better off with some semblance of reliable consistency from Terence Steele, as the offensive line has too many burners on the stove running at different temperatures. Yet, if Steele can simmer things down, the Cowboys offensive line and quarterback Dak Prescott can have things cooking again.

Damone Clark

Damone Clark played okay at linebacker last year, but for the Dallas run defense to really shine, he needs to up his game. The linebacker position for the Cowboys has a lot to prove this season. Under former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, the Cowboys used safeties and linebackers interchangeably. With Mike Zimmer, that should change, and the personnel will be more traditional, making linebackers vital for the team’s success on defense. Eric Kendricks, who has a prior relationship with Zimmer, will lead the position group, but it’s a big question mark after that.

Rookie Marist Liufau and second-year player DeMarvion Overshown, who is returning from injury, will also be in the mix, but the experienced Clark will be a vital cog in the defense. Clark was sometimes slow to diagnose runs, leaving significant opportunities for opposing offenses last season. He has many tools to work with but needs to take a leap in his third season. Clark and Kendricks have NFL experience and will be counted on to solidify the revamped position group.

In a world of high-speed living and remote jobs, earning money anywhere is possible. Travel isn’t cheap. It costs a lot of money, and working in an office does not leave much time for leisure. If you are on vacation and have seen all there is to be seen, you may look for something else to pass the time.

Remote jobs don’t have to be boring. In fact, many of them are great options for earning free or discounted travel. You just have to know how to choose which of these travel jobs is right for you.

travel blogging couple

1. Blogging

Blogging while traveling is a great way to earn some money. Your office is wherever your laptop is, so you are never tied down to one place. This can help you travel the world with just a laptop and a bit of data, which you can always find in local cafes or restaurants . It’s even better if you do travel writing, so you can combine firsthand experience with creative writing that helps others plan their travels.

<p><span>The rise of Mukbang videos, where people eat insane amounts of food while sometimes conversing with the camera, is weirdly intriguing to many and simultaneously perplexing. While it attracts massive audiences, the fascination with watching someone devour excessive quantities of food remains a mystery. Moreover, this trend raises concerns about promoting unhealthy eating habits and overindulgence.</span></p>

2. Vlogging

Similar to blogging, video blogging, also called “ vlogging ,” is a visual form of content. You can write blogs for your website but also work as a freelancer for other people’s websites. When it comes to vlogging, however, people usually vlog for their own channels. It takes more time to succeed but can also be more rewarding monetarily. All you need is a smartphone with a nice camera, or if you want to be fancy, a laptop with some video editing software like Adobe PremierePro or DaVinci Resolve.

<p>Interestingly, it seems like millennials have a better understanding of technology. Gen Z grew up with tech, but millennials have more experience with the inner workings, like troubleshooting a computer or building an HTML code. I would think the opposite would be true, but tech has become too easy for Gen Z in some ways.</p>

3. Video Commercials

This one is both fun and rewarding. If you have a smartphone with a decent camera and invest in an excellent DJI drone, you can earn some nice money on your travels. Combine this with an investment in a decent laptop and a video editing course, and you have a recipe for success. When I was on vacation in Corfu , I discovered an opportunity with their beautiful beachfront Tavernas. I packed my drone, visited a few of them on foot, and offered them my services. I scored two jobs for filming a video ad and one logo redesign job, which made me a nice profit for less than a full day of work.

4. Singing and Playing an Instrument

Singing or playing an instrument is another excellent way to earn some surprisingly good money. If you are a good singer and can play an instrument, you can always play in the city center or other popular spots. Many great talents have been discovered performing in public this way. You can also offer your skills to local restaurants or lounges if they are in need of live music or other entertainment.

<p>If you know how to cut hair, another great way to earn money is to offer free haircuts and keep profits from their tips if they decide to give you one. You only need hair clippers for this one, so you can be flexible and earn well in countries where haircuts are expensive. <em>Pro tip</em>: You can combine this with vlogging and use this as your content on your vlog to increase exposure.</p>

5. Haircuts for Tips

If you know how to cut hair, another great way to earn money is to offer free haircuts and keep profits from their tips if they decide to give you one. You only need hair clippers for this one, so you can be flexible and earn well in countries where haircuts are expensive. Pro tip : You can combine this with vlogging and use this as your content on your vlog to increase exposure.

<p><span>In a tabloid or on a gossip website, if a celebrity looks to be posing in a staged photo, they most certainly are. Stars view it as a cooperative effort that benefits all parties, and fans frequently aren’t aware that the “candid” photos were expertly staged before being made public.</span></p>

6. Exposure for Businesses

This travel job is for those with a well-developed online business. If you already have a travel blog , you can always ask restaurant owners, bar owners, hotels, and others who provide services in tourism if they would like to collaborate on a promotion on your website. The business will get exposure to your audience, and you can negotiate payment or exchanges for that promotion, like a one-night hotel stay or a free meal.

<p>This unique locale lets guests taste wine from three family-owned micro-wineries: Blacksmith Cellars, Sunset Cellars, and King Andrew Vineyard. Staff at the tasting room are wine producers and grape growers, providing expert knowledge on the local wines and the Suisun Valley wine region. The tasting list changes weekly. And guess what — you can bring picnics or snacks (but no outside drinks). Stop by La Barista Espresso for deli sandwiches on your way to the <a href="https://suisunvalleywinecoop.com/" rel="nofollow noopener">Suisun Valley Wine Co-op</a>.</p><ul> <li><strong>Blacksmith Cellars:</strong> Founded in 2003, winemaker Matt Smith crafts complex wines, distinctive varietal-driven and blended wines.</li> <li><strong>Sunset Cellars:</strong> Starting in 1997 in the garage of the Inner Sunset neighborhood in <a href="https://wealthofgeeks.com/kid-friendly-things-to-do-in-san-francisco/">San Francisco</a>, Sunset Cellars has a minimalist winemaking style and respects the grower’s efforts in the vineyards.</li> <li><strong>King Andrew Vineyard:</strong> After growing grapes in their own vineyard, Roger King and his wife Carol brought their bottled wine from small lot production to the winery. The fresh and vibrant wines are bottled with limited intervention.</li> </ul><p>Reservations are not required, but they are recommended.</p>

7. Bartending

A good barista is always a much-needed part of the crew. If you know how to mix drinks or make a killer espresso, you can always offer your services to nightclubs or cafes and earn a decent wage, plus tips.

8. Temporary Tattoos or Hair Styling

Unlike the classic tattoo industry, where laws and regulations can tie up employment approval, temporary tattoos can be done anytime, anywhere, and do not fall under any laws and regulations. There is a low risk of infection with temporary tattoos or paints, unlike classic tattoos that are created by piercing the skin. Hair braiding or wrapping is popular at beach destinations and can also be done anytime, anywhere.

9. Working on a Cruise Ship

Working on a cruise ship is more permanent, but it still fits within the scope of travel jobs. There are numerous jobs that you can do on a cruise ship, and each of those offers some nice wages. Understandably, a captain makes much more than a cabin steward, but all employees receive benefits and gratuity. You can use the time between shifts to discover beautiful cities wherever you stop.

<p>Discussions about places to visit in Montenegro tend to begin with Kotor, and it is easy to see why. Kotor packs plenty into its relatively small borders, with a proud maritime history allied to modern cafes, restaurants, and bars, plus some of the most alluring churches in this part of the world. Stop for a romantic courtyard lunch at Pržun before taking the arduous walk up to the fortress walls, where the ultimate view of the Bay of Kotor awaits.</p>

Which Rear Living Travel Trailer Is Right For You?

travel blogging couple

  • Length: 34’5”
  • Dry Weight: 7,088 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4

Favorite Feature: Heating & Massaging Theater Seats? Yes, Please!

It’s not a surprise that the Alpha Wolf 26RL-L is one of the more popular rear living travel trailers on the market. With dual opposing slide-outs, a large kitchen island, and–wait for it–heating and massaging theater seats, you’ll feel more like you are in a luxury 4-star hotel than at your favorite campsite.

This model has everything you need to feel comfortable on the road. Its large entertainment area includes a tri-fold sofa for extra sleeping space, ample counterspace for cooking your favorite meals, and a queen-bed retreat toward the front of the trailer.

The bathroom has a spacious shower and large linen and medicine cabinets for plenty of storage. The exterior has two awnings, an 11-foot awning off the living room slide, and a 9-foot awning off the bedroom. This model is perfect for small families or couples who want the best of both worlds–camping and luxury.

Shop the Alpha Wolf 26RL-L

East to West Longitude 310RL

  • Length: 35’10”
  • Dry Weight: 7,708 pounds

Favorite Feature: Huge L-Shaped Living Room

Want a travel trailer that feels more like a travel apartment? The Longitude 310RL has a layout built for living on the road. The living room has a large L-shaped sofa centered around a cozy entertainment wall with a fireplace.

The rear living room transitions to a kitchen and dining area with a large pantry, expansive counters, and a dinette. The refrigerator, stove, pantry, and entertainment wall are housed in a slide, which opens up the floorplan to create a flow for foot traffic.

In the bedroom, you have a large queen bed, a second slide with a full-sized closet, and a large linen closet for your bathroom. This model also has an expansive 21-foot awning on the exterior, giving you everything you need to feel at home, no matter where you’re camping!

Jayco Jay Flight SLX 262RLS

Jayco Jay Flight SLX 262RLS Floorplan

  • Length: 30’4”
  • Dry Weight: 5,995 pounds

If your guests need to stay the night, this travel trailer can sleep up to six, depending on your interior package. Pop out the slide in your entertainment area for even more interior space.

Another great feature of the Jay Flight SLX 262RLS is its weight. For a travel trailer over 30 feet, it weighs just shy of 6,000 pounds, making it a little more friendly for hauling than some of the heavier models on the list.

This model has an 18-foot awning, a large bathroom with an expansive linen closet, and a queen-bed retreat at the front.

Cherokee Grey Wolf 20RDSE Floorplan

  • Length: 25’4”
  • Dry Weight: 4,053 pounds

Favorite Feature: Rear U-Shaped Dinette with Panoramic Window

Forest River’s floorplans are versatile, and this Grey Wolf is no exception. They prioritized making the space comfortable and convertible without additional slides to fit almost any need.

In the rear, you have a combination dinette/living area that can convert to a bed for extra guests. One thing we love about this model is the privacy curtain to separate the front bedroom from the rest of the living area if you do have those guests. Plus, the kitchen has everything you need, including a full pantry and air fryer.

The queen-size bed in the front has dual-side wardrobe storage, with plenty of space for all your gear. At under 30 feet, the Grey Wolf is a lightweight hauler that offers more campsite options. It may not have slides, but you won’t miss them in this smartly designed layout.

This model has a full-size bathroom and a skylight over the shower as an added bonus. The front of the trailer has a large bedroom with a queen-size bed and ample closet storage. Outside, you can relax under the 16-foot awning at your campsite.

This hybrid floorplan makes excellent use of every square inch with overhead storage, a corner wardrobe next to the entrance, and dual closets on either side of the queen-size bed. On the outside, you have a 20-foot powered awning and the option to include a 17” cooking griddle.

Flagstaff E-Pro E15TB Floorplan

  • Length: 15’8”
  • Dry Weight: 2,846 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 2

Favorite Feature: King Size Bed in a Trailer Under 16’

Think you need to purchase a large rear living travel trailer to get a king-size bed? Think again because this Flagstaff E-Pro is the shortest travel trailer listed but the only option with a king bed.

You won’t be missing anything for your next adventure. This model has a large dinette, apartment-style refrigerator, 3-burner stove, and a wet bath for optimal liveability in a small package. There is plenty of overhead and exterior storage for your gear. Relax outside under your 10-foot awning and whip up breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the exterior griddle.

The Flagstaff E-Pro E15TB is perfect for solo travelers or adventurous couples. We love this model for people looking to transfer from a camper van to a travel trailer you can unhitch at the campsite. The space and amenities are comparable without adding too much extra length.

Shop the E-Pro E15TB

Keystone Passport 190RD

  • Length: 21’11”
  • Dry Weight: 3,510 pounds

Favorite Feature: Lightweight for the Length

If you want a bit more interior room but aren’t ready for a heavy hauler, the Passport 190RD is a great lightweight rear living camping trailer under 25 feet. At a dry weight of 3,510 pounds, this travel trailer can be towed by many ½-ton trucks and full-size SUVs. As always, check your vehicle’s towing capacity before you fall in love with a travel trailer.

In the rear of this trailer, you have a large U-shaped dinette that converts to an extra sleeping area for your guests while you relax in your queen bed. The living area has counterspace along both walls, a large refrigerator, and a pantry. You also get a full-size bathroom with a large walk-in shower.

The 11-foot awning lets you take shade with you on the go while you relax at your campsite. This model is best for solo travelers or couples who are looking for a little bit of extra walking space without the fuss of committing to a longer length and heavier weight.

Shop the Passport 190RD

Forest River Rockwood Geo-Pro 15RD

Rockwood Geo Pro 15RD Floorplan

Specs

  • Length: 16’2”
  • Dry Weight: 2,883 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 3

Favorite Feature: Rear Bunk for Expected (or Unexpected) Guests

Forest River brings another under 20-foot rear living camper to the table with this Rockwood Geo-Pro . You’ll find many of the same amenities in this model as the Flagstaff E-Pro E15RT, but the Rockwood has one significant advantage—a rear bunk area.

Whether you want to load that up with extra gear, use it as your sleeping area as a solo traveler, or have a friend stay the night, there are plenty of ways to use that rear living space in your travel trailer.

In addition to the bunk, this model has a dinette that converts to a full-size bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen area with a 3-burner stove. The exterior of this model comes with an 11-foot awning and an outdoor griddle.

International travel documents for children

See what documents a child needs to travel to or from the U.S. alone or with a parent or relative.

Children traveling to the U.S.

All children, including infants, must have their own travel documents such as a passport or document from a Trusted Traveler Program to enter the U.S. If you travel or are going to travel with a child, consider taking the following documents:

  • If the child is traveling with only one of their custodial parents, they must have a letter of consent, preferably in English and notarized, from the other parent or signed by both parents. The letter should say "I acknowledge that my son/daughter is traveling outside the country with [the name of the adult] with my permission."
  • If one parent has sole custody of the child, a copy of the custody document can take the place of the other parent's letter.
  • Parents who frequently cross the border by land with a minor must always carry a letter of permission from the other parent.

U.S. citizen children traveling abroad

Ports of entry in many countries have security measures to prevent international child abduction . If you are traveling alone with your child, you may be required to present documentation proving you are the parent or legal guardian. You may also need a letter of permission from the other parent for your child to travel.

If your child travels alone, depending on the country, they may be required to present a notarized letter from both parents or their legal guardian. If a minor is traveling abroad and is not accompanied by both parents or a legal guardian, contact the embassy or consulate of the country you will be visiting and ask about entry and exit requirements for that country.
