You can purchase tickets there; however, if they are booked you won’t get in. Also check Groupon! Tickets available on there but must book 24 hours in advance with Groupon vouchers.

Tropics is always a wonderful boat ride! Crew always kind, laid back and a fun time. Inexpensive way to get a couple hours at on the water. Great for kids as well, and allows for shade and sun! Beverage packages are the way to go!

Dolphins jumping behind boat!

We were looking to get out in the water, see some dolphins and get some interesting information about local sites and wildlife. We did get that out of experience. We were not interested in the fraternity/sorority or "get your drink on" or the pre party to for the club. It was nice to view the dolphins from the upper deck and it was a great day and enjoyed seeing dolphins. Tolerated the dad jokes because there was a decent amount of interesting information. I wouldn't recommend to my friends and family, but maybe recommend to those going through RUSH or on Spring Break.

The crew was helpful and pleasant. The tour was interesting and fun. Drinks reasonably priced with plenty of alcohol. Overall good trip

We did the sunset boat tour on our first night in Clearwater. The staff are very helpful and nice. The music was good and the champagne toast at sunset was a nice touch. Be prepared to stand most of the time. If you plan to drink during the boat ride, I recommend buying one of the drink packages. They have free water available too.

Regan, Captain J and Dillion's hospitality was unmatched! Highly recommend anyone in the Clearwater area to do this adventure!

Went on a sunset ride with a small group. We arrived 20 minutes early and check in was simple. We chose our drink package and received our cup, then for into line for pics and boarding. We rode upstairs and it was a little rough, so we didn't refill too much. They did a great tour, then out for sunset. It was beautiful, the music was great, and the staff was a lot of fun to "cruise" with tonight. Such a great time and so reasonable. Parking was tricky. So arrive early to get a spot. Otherwise it was a perfect night out for friend groups, families, and couples!

Sunset cruise was amazing with dolphin sightings too! Kind and entertaining employees who made the effort to give facts about Clearwater.

The tour was good. We did get to see a few groups of dolphins on our dolphin tour then they took us to look at houses owned by famous people, which we weren't really that interested in. The information about the city and area was nice to learn about but at times difficult to understand through the speaker system.

Excellent sunset cruise. Good price, great drinks and dolphins!! Crew did an awesome job. Highly recommend.

We booked this with our City Pass. The only tour available was the dolphin tour, so thats what we did. We hoped to go out into the Gulf and see dolphins. Technically we got to the Gulf and we did see some dolphins in the near distance. Then we headed back to the Bay where celebrity houses were pointed out. Our tour guides were fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. But we expected more. The dolphin part of the Dolphin Tour was very short. I enjoyed watching the pelicans dive for fish. I saw a few dolphins surface. Then we just cruised the Bay for 45 minutes. The tour was supposed to be 2 hours and it was maybe an hour and a half. It wasn't bad but we were disappointed. Luckily we didn't pay full price.

It makes sense for all businesses this close to our gorgeous oceans to do their part in keeping our resources clean!

In February 2019, we made the decision to get The Tropics Boat Tours Ocean Friendly Certified. With the help of Ocean Allies, a local 501c3 Charity whose goal is to help businesses reduce their impact on the environment, we embarked on the journey towards zero waste.

Our improvements include:

• No straws to help prevent them from countless times going into our waters.
• We recycle! You will see blue recycling cans on board, which are emptied daily into the Marina container.
• No plastic straws available - paper straws are available upon request.
• We no longer distribute single-use plastic leis after our tours.

Although we are very proud of our accomplishments so far, we know that this is just a start!

Frequently asked questions

How long are your tours.

Our tours are 1 hour and 45 minutes in duration from dock to dock. We also have an additional 15 minutes of boarding prior to each tour.

Do you have drinks on board?

Yes, we offer beer, wine, soft drinks, and a full liquor bar for purchase on board. We also offer drink packages that may be purchased from the booth prior to departure.

How does your dolphin guarantee work?

In the unlikely event we do not see dolphins during a dolphin tour (not valid on sunset tours) you will be able to take another dolphin tour free of charge at a later time. Drink packages purchased during the original tour are not refundable and do not apply to your next dolphin tour.

Are there restrooms on board?

Yes, we do have restrooms on board for the use of our guests. Please keep in mind that these are marine heads. Please note any signage in the restrooms regarding what may be flushed down the toilets.

Is there any shade or protection from the elements?

Yes, while we are an outdoor activity our open-air lower level does provide shade and protection from the elements. Note that guests in wheelchairs may not be able to access this area based on the size of their wheelchairs.

Can we bring food on board?

Unfortunately, you may not bring food on board as we do not have appropriate areas for consumption. We do offer light snacks on board for purchase.

Do you offer private charters?

Yes, please visit our private charter section for more information. You may also email [email protected] for more information.

Are pets allowed on board?

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets on board during our tours unless it is a service animal.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

Yes, our ramp is wide enough to cater to most wheelchairs. However, if the wheelchair is wider than 22" the wheelchair will not fit through the lower deck threshold. If so, our wheelchair guest may be confined to the bow (front) area of the boat. We do consider this the best seat in the house. Another option is if the guest does have some walking ability he/she can collapse the wheelchair and the first seat on the inside lower level is just two steps from the threshold. When boarding, our wheelchair guests board last for prime seating on the bow. Our crew is not permitted to lift wheelchairs or any mobility equipment.

What times are your tours offered?

Our daily tour schedule changes with the Sunset time throughout the year. Our schedule is updated in real-time when you click on the Book Now section for each tour offered.

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes, our ramp is wide enough to cater to most strollers. However, if the stroller is wider than 22" the stroller will not fit through the lower deck threshold. If so, the stroller may be confined to the bow (front) area of the boat. We do consider this the best seat in the house. Another option is to collapse the stroller and bring it into the lower cabin to re-open. You are also welcome to leave unneeded strollers on the dock. We are not responsible for unattended strollers but our booth is staffed until the Sunset Cruise departs.

Does every person in my party/group need to complete the waiver?

No, one completed waiver is satisfactory for the entire party/group.

How do I redeem my CityPASS Voucher?

First, purchase CityPASS online CityPASS online for immediate, paperless mobile delivery. Next, simply click here click here to schedule your tour.

Present your CityPASS tickets at the ticket booth one hour before departure.

Do you need to wear a mask while onboard?

No, masks are not required to be worn per CDC guidelines.

Where do we park in the marina?

You will find the Marina Parking lot at the forth exist out of the roundabout at the end of the bridge when coming to Clearwater Beach. That parking lot is reserved for Marina Activities on a first come, first served basis. We recommend having one person go to our Tropics Booth while the other looks for a parking space. The Booth Staff will give you a parking code that will you allow you to book enough time in the parking space for the duration of your stay in the Marina.

How are we notified when inclimate weather impacts our tour time?

We do our best to notify all guests when in climate weather impacts our tour times. At times we do wait until we can clearly assess the weather as it changes quickly in Florida. You can expect to receive a notification when we have to cancel any tour.

Are kids permitted on the Happy Hour Dolphin Tour?

Yes, kids of all ages are permitted on our Happy Hour Dolphin Tour when it is available.
