Join Old Town Trolley Tour's newest comedy tour – “Savannah for Morons”, a comedy show on wheels that roasts nearly 300 years of Savannah lore in 90 fun-filled minutes. A quirky, saucy and eccentric history lesson, perfect for morons and their (supposedly) smarter-ish friends, this tour features outrageously entertaining comedy skits, musical numbers, costume changes, a few absurd appearances, and loads of Savannah history.

Hosted by the infamous Moron Twins, Dannie and Danny Moron, this frolic around Savannah will give you all the inside gossip on practically every important moment that has transpired throughout Savannah’s deep, complex, and intoxicating (and intoxicated) past and present; from the founding of the colony of Georgia to the Civil War; from little known Paula Deen trivia to why every tourist must take a selfie on the Forrest Gump bench.

*Please Note: This tour is NOT recommended for children under the age of 13.

Compliance status

Screen-reader and keyboard navigation.

  • Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website. These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
  • Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside of it.Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Disability profiles supported in our website

  • Epilepsy Safe Mode: this profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
  • Visually Impaired Mode: this mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
  • Cognitive Disability Mode: this mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
  • ADHD Friendly Mode: this mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
  • Blindness Mode: this mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
  • Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments

  • Font adjustments – users, can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
  • Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds, with over 7 different coloring options.
  • Animations – epileptic users can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
  • Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
  • Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
  • Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
  • Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

  • DeniseAJohnson 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles It was entertaining. I don’t like scary movies and this was not very scary. It was entertaining. Shelley, the driver was amazing! The narrator on the bus and in the theatre, Dr - I didn’t get the last name, was great for his part. I had never been in an immersion activity so I didn’t know what to expect. The theatre is kept dark except for the scene that was highlighted at the time. The actors, music and props definitely made the experience. Read more Written April 14, 2024
  • DeniseAJohnson 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles A great way to get an overview of the historic district My family and I went on the 4/13/24, 3:00 tour with John, I think that was his name. I know his wife’s name is Donna. He was a very entertaining tour guide. The weather and timing was perfect for the 90 minute tour. The only negative was the instructions on where to go to start the tour. The map should say to look for the Gray Line Bus in the parking lot of the Savanah Museum Visitor’s Center. We went inside the visitor’s center and there was no one in the lobby, not where there any signs stating where to go. As we exited the visitor’s center we saw multiple tour companies’ buses in the parking lot. Otherwise, everything else was fine. Read more Written April 14, 2024

  • Elizabeth H 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Fun! Just want to give some details of this tour. You can call and asked to be picked up at your hotel the morning of. Then you drive to the visitor center to get the other people. The tour will then start and drive you through the streets of Savannah and a guide will give you all the history. It’s great and a fun way to see Savannah! You get to see a lot and don’t have to walk! Then the guide will drop you near the river and all you have to do is take the steps down. We did the 10:00 trolly so but this time it is 11:30. Grab some lunch near the river. Then at 12:25 go to the Red door on river street. It’s a store. And grab your ferry boat tickets. You have to Stan in a line inside the building to get your paper tickets. Then take those paper tickets to the line in front of boat. Get on boat before 1:00. There are drinks and snacks on the boat if you want! Both the trolly and ferry tours were great! A lot of history and a fun way to see Savannah. Just wanted to give more info on the logistics of the day. Read more Written April 6, 2024
  • Logan G 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Dolphin tour Guide was definately entertaining and the Crab Shack definately worth the stop. Even though the dolphins didn't really want to participate (no breaching or other spectacular behaviors...apparently feeding/breeding were higher on their agenda that day) you couldn't fault the Spear It crew...they found them and provided ample photo options. Well worth the time. Read more Written April 5, 2024
  • Carol N 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Fun trip but late notice about a time change We were only given a 30 minute notice about our trip time being changed. Someone did call the day before but they did NOT leave a message. They called at 8:30 am to tell us our pick up time was at 9:00 am. Lots of rushing to get ready. We did enjoy the bus trip. • Kim G 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Do this on your first day visiting Savannah! Outstanding tour! The guide was knowledgeable, and gave out tons of places to go see in addition to the historical portion (restaurants, cafes and shopping also). The open top sprinter van was a wonderful way to see the city, and you could look up and see all the beautiful trees. For the rest of the day and the following, there was a taxi bus service to take you to different points on the tour (included with the tour). Highly recommend!! Read more Written April 3, 2024
  • M3341LFmichellek 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Wonderful historic Savannah experience! We had a wonderful day visiting Wormsloe and Bonavenenture cemetary. Albert was an engaging and knowledgeable tourguide. He drove a different route back so we could see some historic waterfront properties. We stopped for lunch in between at an establishment that featured delicious local specialities of BBQ and seafood. Hopefully they will be upgrading their vehicles in the future as they appear to need new shock absorbers. 😄 Otherwise, it was perfection. Read more Written April 2, 2024

Highly recommend this tour. Ms. Pat was brilliant; the tour was insightful and authentic. Learned a lot. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn about our journey.

We had the best time on this bus tour. Lieutenant Dan was our guide..and he was fantastic!! We learned so much about the city! Everyone should ask for him.. and take this tour! The best part is.. after the tour, the trolley becomes a shuttle! You can be dropped off and picked up at several different stops for the rest of the day!

I took the trolly and boat tour. I thought I received exceptionally good value. I enjoyed it very much.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It's a great value. Learned so much and was sorry we didn't have more time to go back to explore some of the areas the guide pointed out. The ticket includes the option to request a shuttle to any one of 11 stops for the rest of that day and the next day - all part of the tour fee.

Dennis is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and has a great sense of humor. I think the tour is just the right amount of time. I’d highly recommend anyone visiting Savannah take this tour (and try to get Dennis as your tour guide).

I’ve done a ton of ghost tours/experiences/etc. everywhere from St. Augustine to Salem, but this was a totally unique experience! The trolley tour was super fun and informative and the tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable. The interactive performance was PHENOMENAL! It was the perfect blend of scary, historical, and interactive! The actors are incredibly talented. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality ghost tour plus some extra scary fun!

Andy was amazing with his knowledge of the area! All of the drivers were very helpful and accommodating! We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves nearly as much without the tour buses being available to us. Great value for the money!

Brenda with Kelly Tours did an amazing job providing history (and air conditioning) throughout our tour. She was extremely thorough, knowledgable and kept the tour at a very even pace. As a Georgia native, I learned so much. Highly recommend!!
