Although no two winery tours are the same, here is an example of what you might expect on your day with Australian Wine Tour Co.

(8 hours total tour time from pick up to drop off)

• Pickup and drop-off from designated meeting points close to many CBD hotels, booked ahead of time
• Transport by air-conditioned minibus
• Wine tastings at four Yarra Valley wineries

The Yarra Valley

Victoria’s world-famous Yarra Valley wine region is located a short 45-minute drive from Melbourne’s CBD district. It is home to many old-world and some burgeoning new world wine varietals and is known the world over for its misty, crisp and classic white wines.

Since its establishment as a premium Australian wine region in 1838, the climate and resulting cultivation of particular grape varieties have allowed the region to become known the world over for its chardonnay and pinot noir vintages.

It is located in a foggy valley surrounding the Yarra River, making it a prime location for cold weather winemaking.
