Culture and customs.
With the Andes on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, Chile’s geographic isolation has resulted in a distinct national identity. About 95 per cent of Chileans share a mixture of European (predominantly Spanish) and indigenous ancestry.
For many, being Chilean often means celebrating huaso (Chilean cowboy) culture, going to rodeos, dancing the cueca (Chile’s national dance performed in traditional huaso clothing), eating empanadas and drinking pisco.
Spanish is the national language, though Chileans tend to speak fast, drop consonants and litter their speech with a healthy dose of chilenismos (Chilean slang).
Life is focused around the family with frequent get-togethers to share food in good company. More than half of Chileans are Roman Catholics and there is a growing number (estimated at 25 per cent of the population) who are ‘unaffiliated’ – choosing not to identify with a religion.
While many Chileans are traditional in their views, the younger generations are challenging cultural norms and politics is often a passionate topic among youths.
Geography and environment
Chile is a land of quirky geographical characteristics, most noticeably its incredible length. Measuring in at over 4600km long, yet only 430km wide, Chile covers a massive geographic scale that includes a variety of landscapes and an impressive coastline.
Straddled by the epic Andes, this gigantic mountain range acts as a natural border with Argentina in the east, while the Pacific Ocean - including the remote Chilean territory of Easter Island - forms the western coastline.
The capital and largest city, Santiago, lies inland, roughly in the center of the country. Further north, Chile shares a border with Peru and Bolivia , as well as the largest section of the parched Atacama Desert, one of the world’s driest places.
South of Santiago, Chile unfolds into the wilderness playground of Patagonia - a largely uninhabited, prehistoric landscape brimming with forests and enormous glaciers.
Festivals and events
Chile has a busy events calendar with many festivals to celebrate the diversity of its culture throughout the year. Here are some of the country's biggest events:
Fiesta de la Tirana
Each July, the quiet streets of La Tirana morph into a massive dance floor filled with masked performers acting out the ‘Dance of the Devils’. Blending indigenous culture with Catholic tradition, some say the festival honors the Virgin Mary, while others say it honors an indigenous warrior princess.
Either way, it's a fascinating experience seeing the frenetic dancing, fireworks and tasty foods that make up Chile’s largest religious festival.
Festival de la Vendimia (Wine Harvest Festival)
Chile’s wine regions take it up a notch in March and April when weekend-long festivals celebrate the harvest and rural life. Think cowboys, country food and folk dancing. With so many wine regions, it can be hard to know which festival to check out, though Curico Valley’s festival is the longest-running and widely regarded as the biggest.
Fiestas Patrias (Independence Day)
As a fiercely patriotic nation that loves a good party, Fiestas Patrias is a big deal. Each September, flags are hung, and the aroma of barbeque fills the air as people eat, drink, dance and celebrate. Look for a fonda (huge tent party) and join locals as they party into the wee hours of the morning.
Tapati Rapa Nui (Easter Island Tapati Festival)
Get a glimpse of Easter Island’s vibrant Polynesian heritage at this spectacular two-week festival in February. It features dancing, chanting, carving competitions, body painting, a string figure (kai kai) contest, and so much more.
Public holidays that may impact travel include:
Feast of Saints Peter and Paul
National Unity Day
Independence Day
Discovery of Two Worlds Day
All Saint’s Day
Immaculate Consumption
Please note dates of Chile's public holidays may vary.
Food and drink
Chilean cuisine is all about seasonal produce and simplicity. Potatoes, corn and quinoa are staple ingredients in many traditional dishes, including pastel de choclo (corn pie) and humitas (steamed corn pudding wrapped in corn husks).
Chile’s extensive coastline provides a wide array of seafood. Visit one of the country’s many marisquerias (fish restaurants) to try picorocos (barnacles) or erizos (sea urchin). Most places serve fish grilled with a little seasoning. Ceviche is also a dietary mainstay.
Chileans also love their meat. Like in Brazil and Argentina, a leisurely asado (barbeque) is a cherished tradition. Held either in a backyard or a specially equipped park, an asado can stretch for hours and always features lots of grilled beef, pork, sausage, lamb and Chilean wine. If you don’t manage to snag an invitation to an asado from a local, head to a parrillada instead – a restaurant that serves grilled meats.
Here are some must-try foods in Chile:
1. Mote con huesillo
Dried peaches and husked wheat are stewed in a sugary syrup to create Chile’s favorite summertime treat. The perfect reward after a long day of exploring.
2. Pastel de choclo
A hearty Andean pie of ground beef or chicken and vegetables, topped with pureed sweet corn is a local favorite.
The perfect dish to warm your bones on a cold day, cazuela is a thin stew of chicken or beef with corn on the cob, potatoes, pumpkin and noodles. Do as the locals and drink the broth first.
Things to buy in Chile
Most towns will have a local market where you can pick up handmade souvenirs. You'll also find large shopping centers in big cities. Head to Avenida Alonso de Córdova in Santiago for boutique and luxury stores and trendy bars.
Keep in mind that haggling isn't part of Chilean culture, so prices are usually fixed, and most markets and street vendors deal only with cash. Stores are typically open between 10 am and 9 or 10 pm Monday through Friday.
Many stores are only open during the morning on Saturdays and are closed on Sundays, though these hours can vary in tourist areas. Shops in smaller cities also tend to close for lunch and take a siesta between 1 and 5 pm.
Here are a few things to buy in Chile.
1. Alpaca clothing
Sweaters, gloves, scarves and other items made from alpaca wool are a South American specialty. Both unique and practical, alpaca wool does a good job of blocking out high altitude chill.
2. Lapis lazuli jewellery
The Romans considered it an aphrodisiac, and Cleopatra was said to powder it for use as an eyeshadow. Lapis lazuli has quite a history, but these days the semiprecious indigo-blue stone is found only in Chile and Afghanistan.
Cheaper here than lapis sold abroad, it's still a somewhat pricey purchase. The general rule of thumb is the deeper the color, the better the quality, and always shop at reputable stores to ensure you’re not sold a fake.
3. Mapuche silverware
Indigenous women of the Lake District traditionally wore handcrafted silver earrings, headdresses and other pieces of jewelry as a sign of wealth. Dramatic silver pieces are still made by Mapuche women in this region today.
You might recognize the grape-based brandy known as pisco from Peru, but Chile shares the claim too. The battle of the birthplace of pisco has been going on for centuries.
Must-visit places in Chile
With so much on offer in Chile, from glacier trekking to wine tasting, it can be hard to choose which places to visit. Here are a few must-visit places to consider.
1. Santiago
Santiago is Chile's bustling capital. Set within a circle of snow-capped mountains, this city is a stone's throw from outdoor adventures (if you can ever leave, that is). From traditional European buildings in artsy neighborhoods to a brilliant food scene and thriving nightclubs, Santiago has it all.
2. Valparaiso
With its colorful buildings, mural-filled streets and labyrinthine laneways lined with cafes and galleries, Valparaiso is arguably Chile's most creative city. Sip pisco sours on a rooftop in the historic center, rub shoulders with local artists or visit a restaurant credited with the invention of chorrillana.
3. Patagonia
Chile and Argentina both stake a claim over Patagonia — and it's no wonder when the region is this beautiful. Think rolling grasslands flanked by snow-clad peaks, remarkably blue lakes, beech forests and huge glaciers. Patagonia was practically made for adventuring.
4. San Pedro de Atacama
Welcome to the driest town on earth. San Pedro de Atacama is also home to some of Chile's most dramatic landscapes, from hissing geysers to imposing volcanoes and sprawling salt flats. Go sandboarding in the dunes, explore the stunning Moon Valley or admire one of the most impressive night skies you've ever seen.

When is the best time to visit Chile?
Chile’s substantial length ensures that the climate is incredibly varied, and the best time to visit depends on your chosen destinations.
Summer (December to March) is possibly the best time to visit Chile, as the Parque Nacional Torres del Paine and lakes region are reasonably warm. However, the trade-off is that the Atacama Desert can be very hot during this time. Summer is also festival time, so it's a good chance to experience Chile’s unique culture.
For the central and northern regions, autumn is a comfortable time to visit, but note that it can be quite cold in the south, especially at night.
Snowfall is common during winter (July to September) in the south of the country, so this is the ideal time for a skiing or snowboarding holiday.
Is tipping customary in Chile?
It's customary to lea ve an extra 10% on top of your restaurant bill if you've had great service. The same goes for tipping porters and other service workers. Feel free to leave spare change or tip extra if you're particularly impressed with the service.
What is the internet access like in Chile?
Wi-fi access is widely available in cafes, bars and restaurants in cities and tourist areas. However, you may struggle to find wi-fi in rural and remote areas.
Can I use my cell phone while in Chile?
Cell phone coverage is good in Chile’s cities, but may not be available in rural and mountainous areas. Ensure global roaming is activated with your service provider before leaving home.
What are the toilets like in Chile?
Toilets in Chile will vary depending on what area you are traveling in. Flushable, western-style toilets are common in the cities, large hotels, malls, and clubs but more modest squat toilets are the standard in rural areas and while camping. Either way, carrying a supply of toilet paper and soap is a good idea, as these aren’t always available in public toilets.
Can I drink the water in Chile?
Tap water is generally safe to drink in Chile, though some may get an upset stomach from the different mineral content. If you have a delicate stomach, you may want to opt for filtered water to avoid this. For environmental reasons, try to avoid buying bottled water. Instead, bring a reusable water bottle that can be filled with filtered water. Your leader or hotel can tell you where to find filtered water.
Are credit cards accepted widely in Chile?
Major credit cards are widely accepted in Chile’s large cities and towns but may not be accepted by smaller vendors such as family restaurants and market stalls in small towns and rural areas. Make sure to carry enough cash when visiting these parts in case credit cards are not an option.
What is ATM access like in Chile?
ATMs are found widely throughout Chile, so withdrawing cash shouldn't be problematic in most areas. Some smaller villages and rural areas may not have ATM access, so prepare for this before venturing too far from a city or major town.
Will I experience altitude sickness in Chile?
Most people can start to feel the effects of altitude at over 6561ft ( 2000m) regardless of age, gender, or fitness level. Santiago is well below this elevation, but travelers heading to San Pedro de Atacama and the northern and central Andes might experience symptoms of high altitude. It’s important to take it easy, drink plenty of water and speak to your group leader at once if you feel unwell.
We recommend seeing your doctor if you have any health concerns before undertaking the trip, particularly if you have a pre-existing medical condition or take any medication.
Do I need any vaccinations before visiting Chile?
No vaccines are required in order to enter Chile but some are recommended for protection against disease. Visit your doctor or travel clinic for advice and make sure to schedule vaccinations 4–6 weeks before your departure date, as some require time to become effective.
Is Chile a safe destination for LGBTQIA+ travelers?
Chile is a relatively hassle-free destination for LGBTQIA+ travelers. Though traditionally a very Catholic and conservative nation, attitudes are slowly changing. Same-sex marriage was legalized in 2015 and people are now more open about their sexuality.
Santiago hosts an annual gay pride parade and has an active gay scene, particularly in Barrio Bellavista. Beach resorts such as Vina del Mar also have a number of gay clubs. You may find that attitudes are less liberal outside of big cities.
Transgender rights and public attitudes are also developing. The Chilean government signed a bill into law in 2019 to allow people aged 18 and over to change their legal gender and name on Chile's Civil Registry. Teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18 can also do so in court.
For more detailed and up-to-date advice, we recommend visiting Equaldex or ILGA before you travel.
Do I need to purchase travel insurance before traveling?
Absolutely. All passengers traveling with Intrepid are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their trip. Your travel insurance details will be recorded by your leader on the first day of the trip. Due to the varying nature, availability and cost of health care around the world, travel insurance is very much an essential and necessary part of every journey.

Replys to emails were very prompt and efficient though. It was not really a tour as tour was done at concha y toro. Information and interaction from guide on the bus there would be helpful. I did the wine tour. Apart from a lift there I could not comment on quality of services. Driver and guide introdiced themselves and that was it. No specific complaints, but minimal service was provided on the actual tour.
Kris Dabkowski
Service provide by your agent was better than I could expected. In hotels: waiters should now a few English/international words e.g.: beer or ordering food some simple English/international terminology not only Spanish.

The guides services were very good and all the transports etc. worked very well.Hotel Lady Florence Dixi: The staff could be friendlier! \r\nSuggestion: When a trip starts early in the morning, the hotel should be asked to provide either an early breakfast or give a packed breakfast. It is after all included in the price and is part of the tour. Really important!
Yolanda Liu
The tour I received was very good. It would have been better if the tour information I received would have told me to bring my bathing suit so I have an option to enjoy the hot spring at the Tatio Geyser.

Traditionally made from deep-fried wheat dough, a sopaipilla is South America’s version of doughnuts. In Chile, they’re made with pumpkin in the dough, and served as a side dish with pebre, a chili sauce, or as a delicious dessert after being boiled in a chancaca sauce, a hot sweet syrup.
A classic Chilean condiment found across the country, pebre is served with many meals including fried sopaipilla, or spread on bread and meat. It’s a sauce of chili pepper, garlic, onion, olive oil and coriander, although variations can be found in different regions and households.
Empanadas are a beloved dish across Latin America. In Chile, they’re traditionally made with a filling called ‘pino’, a mix of ground beef, raisins, onions, black olives and hard boiled eggs. Our Local Specialists will show you where to try the best empanadas at any time of the year.
Best food in Chile
We’ll take you on a culinary journey through Chile, as we reveal the best places to try classic empanadas and delicious sopaipilla.
What to pack for Chile
Hiking shoes
Whether you’re trekking the snowy peaks of Patagonia, or traversing ancient volcanoes in the Atacama Desert, you’ll need a sturdy pair of shoes in Chile.

Chile is full of outdoor adventure and a reusable water bottle will help you stay hydrated without contributing to the plastic waste in the pristine national parks.
Adaptor plug
In Chile the standard voltage is 220 V and the power plugs and sockets are of type C and L. The standard frequency is 50 Hz.
Chile is enormous, spanning the equivalent of the entire length of the USA, and a pair of headphones will provide entertainment on the long scenic journeys.
Pack for sustainable travel
Consider your environmental impact when you next take a trip and go single-use-plastic-free by packing a reusable water bottle, a steel straw, your own shopping bags and refillable toiletry bottles.

Mountains. Wines. Cities.
This long and narrow country offers a variety of different ecosystems to explore. From the world’s most arid desert in the north, lush forests and coastal shores, to the frozen land in the south that is home to penguins, the activities are endless. Whether it’s sighting volcanoes, horseback riding or simply sipping on the world renowned wine, an adventure awaits. Speaking of wine, Chile has many vineyards and over 20 different types of grapes – a wine tasting is a must.
Destination Must-See's
Founded in 1541, Santiago is the capital and largest city in Chile. It has been almost completely destroyed by war and natural disaster and rebuilt multiple times. Today, this peaceful location (bordered by miles of vineyards and the Andes mountains) has grown into a flourishing cultural, administrative and financial center.
Torres del Paine:
This spectacular national park is internationally recognized as one of the most beautiful, unique, and uncontaminated places on the planet. It has beautiful views of lakes, rivers, waterfalls, glaciers, forests, and incredible wildlife. The dramatic landscape arises form the turbulent movements of the earth that occurred 12 million years ago.
Located in the southern end of South America, Patagonia is shared by Argentina and Chile. Chilean Patagonia is the perfect place to take in the rugged coastline, a collage of islands and absolutely stunning scenery. Visitors can be seen riding horseback, cycling, trekking, kayaking and rafting in this romantic, remote getaway.
Destination Must-Do's
Funicular up Cerro San Cristobal:
If you want the best view of Santiago this is the way to go. The park high on the hill overlooking the city is Santiago’s largest green space. There are a multitude of attractions here such as the zoo, church, botanical garden, two public swimming pools, and a wooden playground. At the very top you will find the famous statue of the Virgin Mary.
Cruise through the Chilean Fjords:
Experience one of the most underrated places on the continent. This “edge of the world” location is anything but desolate. Some of the most fascinating features of Patagonia are its incredible glaciers. Unlike most glaciers in the world that are shrinking each year, these are still expanding. Some are only accessible by boat as they lay in one of the world’s most remote and remarkable landscapes.
Strait of Magellan:
This channel at the southern tip of South America connects the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. It is 350 miles long and about one mile wide at its narrowest point. Discovered in 1520 by the Portuguese maritime explorer Ferdinand Magellan, it is a narrow natural passage between oceans but is considered very difficult to maneuver because of climate and narrow passageways. Today it remains an important ship route.
Chilean wineries:
Originally produced for catholic mass rituals, Chilean wine is among some of the most popular in the world. Giving Chile uniqueness to their wine is the Carmenere grape. Originally born in France, this grape now thrives in the climate of Chile. The grapes create a deep savory red wine that is nothing short of spectacular.
Expert Advice
It’s good to know that Chile is on 220 V / 50Hz and uses European style 2-prong round plugs or the V prong flat plug.
Chile can actually get chilly. It covers an area that ranges from tropical in the north all the way down to the windswept tip of the continent.
Consider our Easter Island extension. It’s a Chilean territory and worth the trip for a chance to explore this remote and mysterious island – home of the iconic moai statues.

Chile Tours in 2024 & 2025
The land between mountain & sea
Encompassing a narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and the high peaks of the Andes, Chile includes the driest desert, the Atacama in the north, the agriculturally-rich Central Valley, snow-covered volcanoes, forests and tranquil lakes of the near south, and the wild and windswept glaciers and fjords of the far south. Travel Chile and you'll find the far south is home to some magnificent trekking opportunities, where guanacos, nandues (rheas), condors, pink flamingos and magellanic penguins abound. Chile travel aficionados also claim the south offers some of the world's finest salmon and trout fishing, and that at times the cuisine rivals the natural setting.

Travel Tips for Your Chile Trip
When is the best time to visit chile.
Chile is narrow and long, shaped by the mountains to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and Patagonia to the south. With the variety of temperatures, weather, and geography, the best time to visit Chile is in the Southern Hemisphere’s fall from March to April or the Southern Hemisphere’s spring from September to November.
The weather in cities like Santiago and Valparaiso is consistently comfortable in fall and spring, even into early winter, but the most dramatic temperature changes in Chile take place along the Andes Mountains and in the Subantarctic south at Pagatonia .
The arid desert landscape of the Atacama Desert can drop to around 40°F during the Southern Hemisphere’s winter nights, while Patagonia sees temperatures as low as 32°F in the Southern Hemisphere’s winter months from May to August.
While spring and fall is our favorite time of the year, Chile is a year-round destination with plenty to explore and experience in the Southern Hemisphere’s summer and winter.
Whether visiting the Dark Sky Reserve in June, touring Torres del Paine in December, or eager to view the flamingos in October, our guide on the best time to visit Chile can help you find the right month for your trip.
Where should I visit in Chile?
From the artistic neighborhoods of Santiago to the wines of the Casablanca Valley, the bohemian coastal ambiance of Valparaiso to the penguins and colonial churches of Chiloé Island, there is so much to explore in Chile. Here are a few of our best places to visit in Chile :
- Atacama Desert: The rugged and expansive landscape of the Atacama Desert couples with the sparkling salt lake where flamingos graze. Volcanic peaks, sand dunes, star gazing, and the world’s oldest mummies add to the majestic atmosphere.
- Torres del Paine National Park: Known for extreme weather and dramatic mountain scenery, Torres del Paine epitomizes Patagonia with granite pillars, a stunning massif, and a combination of wild guanacos grazing beneath the hanging glaciers.
Easter Island: Majestic and mysterious, Easter Island is one of the most remote destinations in the world and captures your imagination with the famous moai statues, remarkable snorkeling, great surf, and timeless panoramic views of extinct volcanoes.
What should I do in Chile?
From hiking the Torres del Paine massif to witnessing the starlight in one of the world’s few Dark Sky reserves, here are some of the top things to do in Chile :
- Trek through nature in different ways across Chile, from hiking in Patagonia to strolling around the glistening glacial lakes on single-day or multi-day hikes
- Witness the rare beauty of the night sky away from light pollution
- Experience cultural diversity in the museum galleries, sharing the heritage and histories of local communities from Cape Horn to Easter Island
- Cycle through the remarkable scenery at your pace for an introduction to landscapes shifting from lunar to mountainous, glacial to coastal
- Indulge in mouthwatering wines at celebrated vineyards in popular Chilean wine regions
What should I see in Chile?
Whether eager to explore the country’s natural beauty or interested in the poetry of Pablo Neruda, you can find unique landmarks and attractions on your Chile trip:
- Ahu Tongariki, Easter Island
- Torres del Paine Towers, Patagonia
- San Rafael Glacier, Patagonia
- Hand of the Desert, Atacama Desert
- Geysers del Tatio, Atacama Desert
- La Sebastiana, Valparaiso
- Neptune Fountain, Santiago
What is Chile known for?
Chile is known for its breathtaking landscapes, stretching from the high-altitude geysers and salt flats of the Atacama Desert to the hanging glaciers and granite cliffs of Patagonia. Travelers from around the world arrive to visit the wine regions of the Maipo and Casablanca valleys. Visitors can enjoy the contemporary culture of coastal cities like Valparaiso and Viña del Mar when traveling to Chile.
Is Patagonia in Chile?
Patagonia is a region inside Chile and Argentina.
The stunning landscape features dramatic mountains capped with snow, winding rivers, and volcanic peaks that cross the border between Chile and Argentina. Both countries have their own unique characteristics, with the W Trail acting as a walking bridge between the two nations.
Patagonia in Chile is home to Torres del Paine National Park, Corcovado Bay, and Queulat National Park, home to Queulat Hanging Glacier.
How do I get to Easter Island?
Easter Island is part of the nation of Chile and is considered one of the most remote populated islands in the world. The only flight connecting to Easter Island is from Chile’s capital city of Santiago. No matter where you are traveling from, you must stop in Santiago to catch a connecting flight to continue to Easter Island.
Is Chile safe?
Chile is a safe country to visit.
Like in any large city, petty crime can happen in popular metropolitan destinations, but it is rare. Pay attention to your surroundings and keep your belongings close in crowded areas. Pack appropriate clothing for the season’s weather conditions when traveling to remote places for outdoor activities.
Your travel specialist can guide you on the best ways to stay safe and comfortable during your trip to Chile.
What are your most popular Chile itineraries?

Example Chile trips
Antarctica & chile: the frozen voyage, argentina, chile & antarctica: a luxury adventure to…, santiago to the atacama: deserts, fine wine and…, santiago, the lakes & patagonia: an intrepid hiking…, chilean patagonia: a luxurious adventure, into the chilean wilds: an adventure through patagonia,…, ultimate chile: top to bottom, santiago, santa cruz & valparaiso: a luxurious chilean…, chile & easter island: an off-grid adventure, chile & argentina: a grand patagonian adventure, argentina, chile & new zealand: a cross-continental ski…, create your own itinerary, what to see and do in chile.
As ever, if you can’t see it here then we can still plan your tailor made Chile vacation for you.
Stretching from arid desert to snow-smeared mountain peaks (imagine: delicate, icy spines stabbing into infamously clear skies), Chile is a must-go destination for a luxury vacation in the great outdoors. But it also lays claim to some truly vibrant cities. We could write an epic poem to Santiago. We’ll not put you through that. Here’s the ‘long story short’: Santiago has emerged from the shadow of its neighbors with (a) an incredibly vibrant food scene; (b) bustling, diverse neighborhoods (take us back to the trendy taverns of Barrio Lastarria); and (c) the sharp, jade box of the Museum of Memory, which happens to be one of our favorite experiences in the city.
BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE SKY
During a somewhat prolonged journey to the far tip of Chile, American travel writer Paul Theroux found himself in a small town (really a thin road and a jumble of houses) at the edge of the Atacama Desert. He observed that “it was near enough to the end of the earth to give me the impression that I was a solitary explorer in a strange land.” It’s what nudged him onward. The Atacama itself is the driest location on earth. The atmosphere here is so thin as to make it almost Martian. But, and excuse us for the wry joke, it won’t be the air that leaves your breathless – but the staggering, raw fact that this rarefied location is the best place in the world to gaze at the canopy of stars that hang above us.
ENTER THE ARID ATACAMA
For an extremely on-it vacation in Chile there’s luscious Patagonia. At Black Tomato, our luxury tours and trips in Chile consistently draw traveler’s attentions to this part of the world. Its scenery tugs at the eye, from the spectacular Grey Beach (looking out over the glassy ocean, a nest for the sharp blue bulks of ice that float, jagged, within it), to the astoundingly fantastical, knotty Lenga Forest. Our Chile luxury tours can help you to drink each of these uniquely beautiful locations up, whether you want to tackle them by kayak, bike, or on foot. Watching over you is Chile’s most iconic mountain – Cuernos del Paine.
THE PULL OF PATAGONIA
Our luxury tours of Chile wouldn’t be complete (we insist) without visiting the country’s bountiful wine growing regions. The Maipo Valley is the second oldest wine region in the country, and hosts global, award-winning wineries such as Perez Cruz (imagine cracking open a bottle of Carmenere at the source). It’s quite possible (we’ve done it) to spend a full two days of your itinerary meandering from winery to winery. What’s more, our exclusive tour of the Casablanca Valley will give you a behind-the-curtains outlook on the truly magical grounds of the Catrala Vineyard. Luckily, their private chefs will keep you fed, soaking up all of that ‘grape juice.’
DRINK UP IN THE MAIPO VALLEY

Torres del Paine
Embrace the untamed wilderness of Chile’s Patagonia.
In South America’s finest National Park, you’ll hike up to Laguna Azul, track pumas off the beaten track and horse ride through the wilderness. All the while returning to our most exclusive properties like Explora Patagonia. Nestled deep in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park with center-stage views over Salto Chico river, sit back and relax at the lodge’s bath-house after a long day of glacier walking.
Atacama Desert
Escape to the driest place on earth.
Take a moment to enjoy the peacefulness and natural beauty of San Pedro de Atacama. The atmosphere here is thin but the sheer vastness and clear skies makes it one of the best places in the world to gaze at the Milky Way. With a private guide at your beck and call, you’ll head out in search of the flamingo filled waters at Los Flamencos National Reserve, the kaleidoscope of colors at Miscanti and Miñique lagoons and the many thermal pools that dot the landscape.
Colchagua Valley
Indulge in the vino-culture of Chile’s wine country.
Famous for producing some of Chile’s best red wines like Cabernet, Carménère, Syrah and Malbec, Colchagua Valley, just south of Santiago is not to be missed, Whilst staying at the heart of the valley in Clos Apalta Residence, we’ll take you soaring above the rolling vineyards and orchards via hot air balloon as you uncover the secrets behind red wine production in this Latin American country.

Chile Tours — Highlights and Travel Tips
Finding adventure, diversity, and closeness to nature are the three pillars of a trip to Chile. Chile is one of the few countries where you would actually want to take a wrong turn because you never know where it might take you—a hidden oasis that few tourists have ever discovered.
The unique configuration of Chile's mountains and sea ensures that it offers some of the clearest night skies in the world. You will have the ideal place to spend long nights cuddled up next to your special someone, stargazing and naming stars as you take in the breathtaking natural beauty. A 3700-year-old tree is located in the Torres del Paine National Park, one of many national parks in Chile. Other sights to see are Moon Valley in the Atacama Desert and the strange stone statues on Easter Island. In conclusion, taking a tour of Chile is an experience you won't soon forget.
Tour Highlights
- See the Moai on Easter Island
- Drive through the Atacama Desert
- Take in the view of Santiago from San Cristóbal Hill
- Explore the blue glaciers of Torres del Paine National Park
- Visit the end of the world in Tierra del Fuego
- Take a selfie with a Guanaco
Travel Tips
- There are hot deserts and beaches in Chile, but there are also mountains and glaciers. For a holiday in Chile, pack for all types of weather and try to dress in layers for long days out.

Chile tours — Top destinations to visit
- Tour the Patagonian Fjords and glaciers: Patagonia is a breathtakingly beautiful region. In addition to hiking and trekking trails in parks like Torres del Paine, it is home to mountains, glaciers, rivers, and lakes. It has a land area of roughly 1,000,000 square kilometers and extends across Chile and Argentina in the southernmost regions of South America. You can travel to Patagonia on a small ship, stopping at some of the world's most southerly cities along the way and possibly even landing at Cape Horn, the geographical "end of the earth" that marks the continent's southernmost point. Visitors can expect a lot from Patagonia, which stretches from the farthest northern reaches of its Lake District to its farthest southern point in Tierra del Fuego.
- Discover the cosmopolitan Santiago: Located in the Maipo Valley, bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the snowy Andes to the east, Santiago enthralls visitors with its breathtaking vistas, neoclassical architecture, and inventive cuisine. Explore Santiago 's thriving neighborhoods by dining in the Barrio Italia, shopping with style-conscious Santiguenos in Bellavista, or taking in the view from Santa Lucia Hill. After that, stroll around Plaza de Armas to see the Metropolitan Cathedral or the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art's exhibit of Pre-Columbian antiquities. Experience the vibrant nightlife scenes of Barrios, Brazil, and Lastarria. With a burgeoning economy, revitalized arts exhibits, and plenty of exhilarating activities, Santiago is an old-guard city on the edge of a contemporary reawakening.
- Explore the distinct landscapes of the Atacama Desert: Travel to the Atacama Desert the driest desert on earth, is far from lifeless. Rather, it is a region brimming with energy thanks to its hospitable indigenous cultures and the oases that provide life in the desert. Ascend the Andean Altiplano's more than 4,000 meters in elevation to discover tiny towns that uphold their traditions amidst breathtaking scenery. Discover unique landscapes in San Pedro de Atacama, which include deep blue lagoons, geysers, and salt flats. Also, stop by one of the many astronomical observatories in the Elqui Valley.
- Mingle with wildlife in Torres del Paine National Park: Prepare your hiking supplies and set out to explore the sizable Torres del Paine National Park . While the Las Torres and French Valley rank among the best day hikes in the world, the W and O Treks are among the best multi-day hikes in Chilean Patagonia. Navigate Lake Gray while keeping an eye out for foxes, huemuls, and guanacos, or be patient and wait for the majestic puma to make its showy entrance. Torres del Paine is one of those wonderful places that you do not get to visit every day. It is home to four distinct ecological zones, including the Andean Desert, Magellanic Subpolar Forest, Pre-Andean Shrubland, and Patagonian Steppe.
- Unveil the hidden adventures of Puerto Natales : The tranquil seaside community of Puerto Natales, which serves as the entrance to Torres del Paine National Park, has gained appeal among those travelers seeking breathtaking and amazing adventures while taking in the slow-paced eclectic local way of life, varied history, and distinct culture of Southern Patagonia. Get a closer view of Serrano and Balmaceda glaciers by taking a catamaran tour of Última Esperanza Sound. Go kayaking in Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, examine countless fossils in Milodon Caves; and enjoy horseback riding on the Sierra Dorotea Trail.

Immerse yourself in some of Latin America's most dramatic landscapes
It may be narrow and small compared to some of its colossal neighbours, but Chile is home to some of South America’s most dramatic landscapes. It stretches more than half the entire length of the continent, and the variation from top to bottom is remarkable.
From the lunar-like Atacama Desert of the north, down through the central wine valley to the fjords, forests and ice fields of Patagonia, Chile is an absolute feast for the eyes. It is an outdoor lover’s dream and the best way to explore it is by hiking, cycling and horse riding through its remarkable terrain. Bound by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Andes mountains to the east, even across its comparatively narrow width, Chile is still incredibly diverse.
As well as its natural beauty, Chile is home to vibrant cities from the exciting capital of Santiago to the colourful sea port of Valparaíso , famous for its street art. And then there’s the wine . Chile’s central valley is well known for its full-bodied reds, but brilliant whites are also produced closer to the Pacific. These wineries are nestled in scenic valleys and are wonderful places to both explore and stay.
Easter Island , sitting over 3,500km off the coast of Chile, feels like another world entirely, one full of mysticism and legend. It is one of the world’s most isolated locations and a trip here feels like a real old-school adventure.
We plan every step of your trip, with hand picked accommodation, expert local guides and exclusive experiences to suit your travel style and interests. You can relax while discovering this beautiful country, knowing that Jacada is taking care of all the details.
Hike the dramatic granite peaks of Torres del Paine in Patagonia
Explore the waters of the Chilean Lake District , cruise past glaciers, and penguins en route around Cape Horn
In the verdant central region explore vineyards , artistic seafront cities , and the capital Santiago
In the far north, venture into the Martian landscape of the Atacama Desert
Discover the enigmatic carved stone heads of remote Easter Island

I rank Chile as one of the most beautiful countries in the world. It boasts pure, epic scenery at its most spectacular. Although a slim country, it has got it all – great wine, glaciers, deserts and even Easter Island. And to top it off, the people in Chile are among the friendliest I’ve met.

Where to go
The ultimate trekking destination with granite peaks, azure glaciers, thick forests and epic lakes.
A place of truly other-worldly landscape of towering volcanoes, flamingo frequented lagoons, salt-flats, geysers and shifting sand dunes.
The Wine Regions of Chile surrounding Santiago have become one of the largest and most important wine regions in the world.
One of the most enigmatic, intriguing and isolated locations on earth, Easter Island, or Rapa Nui, is like a beautiful outdoor museum.
Over the past decade, Santiago has undergone something of a revival in the arts and culture, with new, interesting art galleries and restaurants opening making it a destination in its own right.
Lake District
The Chilean Lake District is a beautiful region characterised by snow-capped volcanoes, ancient forests and clear-blue waters.
A fusion of dense evergreen forest cut by sparkling lakes, the Aisen Region feels like the farthest edge of the world.
Shrouded in local myths and legends, Chiloé has a wild beauty, quaint fishing harbours, and a simple way of south Patagonia life.
Valparaiso is built up dozens of hilltops overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with a maze of cobbled streets, alleyways, stairways and funicular lifts winding their way up steep sides.
Chilean Patagonia Yacht Expeditions
This waters of Patagonia are spectacular and untouched. A dramatic landscape of fjords fringed by verdant temperate rainforest, creaking glaciers, mountains, stunning islands and turquoise waters.
Navarino Island
Caught between the island of Tierra del Fuego to the north and Cape Horn to the south, Navarino is a wild and rugged Patagonian island.

What do our customers say about us?
Amazing Value!
"This was great value for the price! I had a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. I enjoyed seeing the city like a local person - we rode the subway, walked a lot and stopped for coffee and lunch at local small places. Sunday morning was perfect as it was quiet, but the street markets were opening up. My guide made sure I was picked up and dropped off at my hotel."
Sheila Robertson on Viator - Private Walking Tour Through Santiago
Great way to see the highlights between Santiago and Valparaiso.
"Had a wonderful day between Santiago and Valparaiso with many stops in between. We were visiting during the holidays so some things were closed but the tour guides did not miss a beat. Natalia, our guide and Carlos, our driver were on time, super friendly and ensured our safety the entire time. Working with Claudia before the trip to ensure an easy booking with all their recommendations was super helpful. We definitely would recommend working with Chile Vive Tours for future trips."
Neg314 on TripAdvisor - Santiago to Valparaiso & Casablanca: Port Drop-off
Tour not to be missed
" Wonderful tour even on a rainy day like the one we encountered. Our guide managed to make us take the best of everything and we walked in a deserted Valparaiso because of the rain but that, when we were there, stopped and allowed us to enjoy the beauty of a special city. Highly recommended trip, crazy and cultured guide and tour operator present and very quick in responding . "

- Half-Day City Tour
At the appropriate time, we will pick you up at the hotel to begin your tour of the city. Your guide will lead you to experience one of the most developed cities in South America. Santiago combines the urban and the classic, in both its architecture and atmosphere. This heritage comes to life through iconic city sights such as the Moneda Presidential Palace, designed by the Italian designer, Joaquin Toesca. From 1845 to 1958 the building actually served as a presidential residence. What were once grand living quarters are now the offices of Cabinet ministers. The Plaza de Armas is the city’s most famous square, surrounded by important and beautiful buildings such as the Cathedral and Central Post Office. A few blocks away you will find the Pre-Columbian Museum with over 700 exhibits of pre-Hispanic artwork and relics from diverse cultures including the Mayans, Aztecs, and the Mapuches – from the south of Chile (visit not included). One of the most important parts of the city is San Cristobal Hill. The hill is recognized as one of the largest urban parks in Santiago, topped by a stunning 72-foot-tall statue of the Virgin Mary. This tour shows you the different contrasts of the city, taking you on a trip through the Santiago of yesteryear to the modern metropolis it is today. At the end of the tour, we will take you back to your hotel.
Full Day Valparaíso - Santiago De Chile
- Full Day Valparaíso and visit to a winery in the Casablanca Valley
Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Valparaíso, making a stop in the Casablanca Valley, a wine region known for its white varieties, especially Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

Afterwards, we will continue to Valparaíso, one of the most important ports in the country. This picturesque city is hanging on the hills and its historic center was declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Our visit begins in the elegant Victoria Square, famous for the interesting sculptures brought from Lima at the end of the Pacific War between Peru and Chile. Then we visit the heart of the city, beginning from Sotomayor Square and Pratt pier, where boat rides in the bay are offered. We will continue visiting the famous hills, taking a walk on Avenue Gervasoni and Atkinson, from where we will have a wonderful view of the bay and its picturesque buildings. We will also visit the famous elevators. Afterwards, we will leave Valparaíso behind and go to Viña del Mar, an important city and summer retreat for locals. We will visit the coastline and pier, as well as the clock made of flowers and the Quinta Vergara. At the end of the tour, we will take you back to your hotel in Santiago.

Our ancestors called it Las Salinas, today known worldwide as Valle de la Luna, surrounded by a set of landscapes of incomparable beauty that resemble a fragment of the lunar landscape to which it owes its name. In 1982 it was declared a Nature Sanctuary and is part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve. In this place you can observe a geological spectacle of great interest, especially at sunrise and sunset. During your visit you can contemplate: Ckari Gorge, the famous natural formation known by our ancestors as Los Tres Vigilantes today called Las Tres Marías, Duna Mayor; majestic body of sand and viewpoints such as; Quebrada Honda where the famous Piedra del Coyote is located. After the excursion, we will take you to downtown Atacama, and you will have to return to the hotel on your own.

Once installed in the cordon of the Andes we head approx. at 4,200.- m.s.n.m. to meet Lagunas Miscanti and Littlefinger, belonging to the Los Flamencos National Reserve, which is characterized by volcanoes and mountainous reliefs such as the Miscanti hill and Littlefinger volcano. Both lagoons are born thanks to groundwater from thaws. Continuing through the lap of the South Andes, we head to the Salar de Talar, known touristically as Piedras Rojas, a place where the rocks are subjected to oxidation and natural meteorization which causes these colors to be lost in the intensity of the Andes. Return to San Pedro de Atacama in the afternoon.

At dawn, between 06:00 and 07:00, you can see an amazing spectacle, generated by violent steam flows that rise up to 10 meters high with temperatures that reach 85°C. On the return trip, it is possible to observe fauna such as vicuñas, llamas, rheas, vizcachas, etc. While in the Flora, the Giant Cactus, llaretas, coirón, etc. stand out. In addition, from a viewpoint we will observe the small ancestral town of Machuca, its few inhabitants are mainly dedicated to grazing and cheese production, very close to the place is the Laguna Salada where families of flamingos, ducks and seagulls live with an impressive landscape of beauty. We continue our journey to the park’s entrance, where the Laguna Amarga sector is located, and we can take photographs of this beautiful attraction. Continuing our path, we’ll stop to appreciate another highlight: the “Cuernos del Paine,” a massif of black-tipped granite rock, which resulted from contact with the Earth’s interior magma. Here, we’ll enjoy our lunch with an incredible view. Afterward, we’ll return to Puerto Natales.
Day at leisure in Torres del Paine - Torres Del Paine
- Day at leisure in Torres del Paine
Torres del Paine is one of the most beautiful protected areas in South America, and the best way to explore it is by foot. If you enjoy hiking and nature, this place is going to be one of the highlights of your trip.
Depending on where your lodge is located inside the park, you will be able to explore different paths— Please check with your travel advisor which are the best options from your location. If you haven’t done it, our recommendation is to take a self-guided hike to Base las Torres. This is the most famous hike of the park since it takes you to the base of the Towers, and it’s a challenge for climbers from all over the world. It takes between 8 and 10 hours to complete and it provides breathtaking views of these massive granite mountains that grow next to a blue lagoon and up to the sky.

Thank you and the entire team for making our trip a wonderful experience. The accommodations were terrific. The tour guide in Santiago was particularly wonderful. Can't say enough about Patagonia Camp. The staff, yurt experience and natural beauty made the camp experience truly memorable.
Thank you again
PS what a great idea to plant trees.
We’ve been home almost a week now. Hard to believe our adventure is now just a memory. But what a great one! Hats off to the two of you for your huge efforts and contributions to making our vacation such a success.
With sincere thanks, Linda
I wanted to express our gratitude for your exceptional assistance in planning our recent trip to Argentina and Chile. The experience exceeded all expectations, and we are incredibly thankful for your recommendations that played a significant role in creating lasting memories for our family.
Here are some highlights from our trip that we wanted to share: Glacial trek, Aldebaran Hotel - a unanimous favorite for its post-trek relaxation and rejuvenating massages, El Chalten hikes and the New Year's Eve dinner
We had an incredible journey, and your contributions made it truly special.
Thank you once again for your excellent planning and support. We look forward to working with you in the future.
Best regards
My brother and I had a fantastic time in Patagonia and are so grateful for everything you did to make this such an amazing trip!! The itinerary you put together for us was perfect and we especially enjoyed the Laguna de los tres hike and big ice trek on the Perito Moreno glacier. Thank you so much for squeezing us into all the activities and accommodations. We are already looking forward to coming back and I've attached a few pictures of us :).
The trip was absolutely fantastic. We had such a great time! The guides were all knowledgeable and enthusiastic and a lot of fun to spend the days with. I want to give personal recognition to the tours/groups in Buenos Aires, El Calafate, Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, and the jeep tour on day 1 of Rio de Janeiro. Thank you for your hard work and support for setting up this trip. The Vamos app is also fantastic and really helped throughout the trip!
I hope to keep in touch for any future trips!
Gracias y saludos a todos!
All very good I used you with my 14 year old in 2017. It is more money but there were a number of times we were impressed how on top of things your team and organization were. We forgot we locked up our money and passports in a hotel safe. Calmy people were contacted and a remedy was found. There was a definite feeling that you all were there, ready to help or to juist make sure things were going well. Really glad we asked to go to the coast; Valparaiso, Isla Negra and Nerudas house. Really no need to see Viña del Mar, too much hotel and vacationer feeling there, would have preferred something additional in Valparaiso. Peulla hotel Natura was wonderful, could have spent another night there, and done more than a small walk in that area. Glad we took the bus over the Andes and the lake crossing. Thanks much. All four of us loved it.
The most remarkable aspect of the expedition was, undoubtedly, the breathtaking wildlife. The landscapes were a sanctuary to an array of unique creatures. Majestic whales gracefully breached the icy waters, while adorable penguins waddled along the shores, seemingly unfazed by our presence. Observing these creatures in their natural habitat was an experience that words cannot fully capture. It's a memory that will forever be etched in my mind.
The opportunity to step foot on the untouched Antarctica was a privilege. The glaciers, the icy terrain, and the absolute stillness were both humbling and invigorating. Exploring via zodiac boats allowed us to get up close to the landscape and wildlife, providing an intimate experience of this raw, unspoiled wilderness. Thanks to every member of the crew that made this adventure an unforgettable experience!
Working with Say Hueque was great.
Everyone at the company was responsive and thoughtful, even when I sent that "emergency" message they solved my problem very fast . When I'm traveling in a foreign country, it's important to me to know that there's someone I can contact that will help me figure things out. I appreciated Say Hueque's service.
Thank you again for all of the help in planning, specially Sol and Andrea.
We had a wonderful time in the desert! If I ever plan to go to Argentina or Chile in the future, I'll be sure to contact you.
We enjoyed our trip very much
Sayhueque did an amazing job from start to finish.
You guys helped me provide my husband with a truly unforgettable experience for his 50th birthday, and I can’t say thank you enough.

What Guests are Saying
This was my second trip with Trek Travel. I highly recommend not only Trek Travel but this trip to Chile. The hotels are first class with view from your hotel rooms that are simply fantastic. The riding in Chile can be as challenging as you would like it to be from rolling hills to a climb up to the near top of a volcano with 20% max grades. Overall a fantastic trip with great food and guides that care to make sure you are having a great time.
Bob, Tampa FL
Just completed a week long tour of the Chilean lakes and volcanoes region - a superb area of the World, great climbs, excellent roads, perfect weather (not too hot/cold), fantastic scenery, very friendly people, wonderful hotels and cuisine. Met and exceeded all of my expectations and would definitely return.
Andy, Coppell TX
We have participated in many cycling tours around the world. This was our first Trek Travel Tour. The scenery was breathtaking and the accommodations were nothing short of spectacular. The accommodations really set Trek apart from other tours - I don't think we would have been able to find these amazing hotels and spas if traveling on our own. The road surfaces and riding conditions were excellent throughout the tour. We were able to take advantage of the avid rides each day which made the tour suitable for experienced riders.
Beneath snowy, smoking volcanoes, the rides of a lifetime!
Mo, Mill Valley CA
I always dreamed of a South American adventure, but nothing quite prepared me for the natural beauty of the Lakes and Volcanoes Region of southern Chile. Around every corner seemed to be another snow-capped volcano piercing the landscape as we pedaled our way around pristine lakes. Ruben, the local guide made the whole experience that much more rewarding with his extensive knowledge and appreciation for his country, all with an infectious enthusiasm. Each accommodation was truly unique and spectacular and the food was always delicious and abundant, but the warmth of the people will have me returning in the near future.

We also recommend a minimum of three hours for connecting flights within Chile. Please book your flights into Temuco Airport/La Araucanía International Airport (ZCO). The official shuttle company at Temuco’s Airport is called TransAraucania . They are the only authorized shuttle company at the airport, and their staff wears a blue and green uniform. You will receive a personal bike fit to ensure a smooth and comfortable ride, then your guides will present information on safety and equipment usage along with an overview of the day’s ride. Next, you will set out for a ride to Caburgua Lake and Huife Hot Springs.
If you will be late for the pick-up or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, Hotel Antumalal (+56 45 244 1011), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details.

This destination is best suited to guests who want to cycle every day. Because of the terrain and/or remoteness of the hotels and riding routes, there are few, if any, non-riding options available. If a non-rider wants to accompany a rider guest on this trip, they would need to spend many hours in the van and/or at the hotels on the trip. Due to this, we strongly discourage non-riders from this destination. As an alternative, call a Trek Travel Trip Consultant at 866-464-8735 for trip suggestions where more non-rider activities are available, such as:
- Kentucky Bourbon Country
We've got you covered on and off the bike! And when you're not riding, your guides are happy to help with anything you need - from massage appointments to finding that special local treat you've been craving.

- Up to three daily route options
- Additional guides and vehicles added dependent upon guest count and trip logistics

Know Before You Go!
We want you to be fully prepared for your cycling vacation of a lifetime. This involves making sure that you choose the appropriate trip for you and that every aspect of your experience is flawless. Each Trek Travel trip is unique to ensure maximum enjoyment every time.
Your Trip Need to Knows:
- Shuttles: The Lakes and Volcanoes District is one of the most visually stunning areas in Chile. Yet, also one of the more expansive. Please note that most days require shuttle times ranging from one to two hours or more. These extended shuttles are essential as we aim to save your energy for the best part of the ride that day. Our goal is to immerse you in nature, offering views of volcanoes, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and other breathtaking scenery. Sometimes, this means a drive is necessary to reach these destinations.
- Hotels: On certain dates, we use alternate hotels, which may necessitate slight modifications to the itinerary to suit the new locations. Rest assured, any changes to meals, routes, or activities maintain the high quality of the original plans. See the Hotels and Dates & Pricing sections for more details.
- Dining in Chile: While our guides do their best to “keep things moving,” service and meals can feel slow. Chile’s culture around food is much slower than what most North Americans are used to but it is part of the experience to savor and enjoy both the meal and the company you are keeping.
- Packing: Layers! Layering is the best way to regulate your body temperature. This tried-and-true strategy is all about slipping layers on and off as your activity level or the weather changes.
- Please note that the upgrade Domane+ bike on this trip is an aluminium frame, which differs from our standard carbon fleet. See the Bikes & Guides section for more information.

Sharing the joy that comes with wow moments
Trek Travel guides are dedicated to making moments that last a lifetime, and we invite you to thank them with a trip gratuity. These are customary and at your own discretion, to recognize service, hospitality, and the little extras that surprise and delight. For this Signature trip, we recommend between $280-$350 per guest and, of course, you may choose to give more if your guides made your trip an unforgettable experience.
Like everything else about your vacation, the Trek Travel team is here to make this experience easier for you. While local currency is preferred, you may also tip through the following options:
Via PayPal (please have this account set up in advance when possible) or with your guest services representative on the phone before or after the trip.
Gratuities will be divided among the guide team, so feel free to leave your gratuity with whomever you choose at the end of your trip.
You cannot put a price on a wow . But you can show your thanks for an exceptional experience.
