Saw them when they opened up for State Champs. They absolutely killed it!!!! They did a great job of getting the crowd warmed up. They are absolutely amazing live. They hung around at merch some during the show and some of the members hung around after the show to meet fans. They wouldn't take pictures while the other bands were playing which I thought was very cool. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely will be going to see them next time they are anywhere close.

the concert was amazing. everyone was in a good mood and with confidence live is stunning. probably the best concert i've been too. i wish i coukd go to more of their concerts.

The mosh pit was INSANE. But the band With Confidence was amazing. There was a moment in that hot crowded room, everything felt electric. Easily the best night of my life.

With Confidence breaking up after tour

With Confidence has announced that after their North America and Australia shows, they will be calling it quits as a band.

Here is the band’s announcement:

“Our upcoming North American and Australian tours will be our final live shows.

It’s hard to believe it’s been over a decade since we played our first gig in Sydney. Back then all we could think about was writing and recording an EP so we could start playing local shows. In the ten years since we’ve been fortunate enough to write and release three records and perform our songs at hundreds and hundreds of shows, across so many countries that we’ve lost count. It’s so much more than we could have ever hoped to achieve.

This was all possible only through the love and support our music found. So thank you for listening. Thank you for coming to the shows. Thank you for everything. To those in places we will not be able to visit a last time we apologise. To those we will see, we look forward to playing these songs one last time with you.

Album review: With Confidence – With Confidence

Aussie pop-punks With Confidence stumble on frequently forgettable self-titled third album…

If you make your new record self-titled, people will naturally assume there’s been a massive stylistic shift or that this is your definitive creative statement to date. In the case of With Confidence ’s third album, neither of these things is true. It’s familiar and sporadically engaging, but far from the Sydney quartet’s best work.

Admittedly, opener What You Make It puts its best foot forward, parking the saccharine in favour of something stroppier, and powered by some beefy guitar work. But that momentum is soon interrupted by City, which with its glossy production and yearning vocals clearly has sky high aspirations. Having the trappings of an epic doesn’t make a song epic, though sadly, and the results feel empty.

That’s the main issue with With Confidence the album : it hooks you in with the kind of songs we’ve come to expect from With Confidence the band – soul-searching songs with melodies that burrow their way into your brain and lyrics that find their way into your heart – but then there’s a misstep that causes you to lose faith in proceedings. And while there are enough strong moments to scoop you back up again, interest wise, this process of delight (Cult) and disappointment (Atlanta) is repeated throughout, making for an uneven listening experience (not a charge you could level at its predecessor, 2018’s excellent Love And Loathing.)

The problem this time around may well stem from the strength of this album’s tentpole singles, particularly the lovably corny Big Cat Judgement Day, which heralded a tent that’s sadly turned out to be sagging and letting the rain in. You can’t knock With Confidence’s ambition, but this time around it appears they’ve let their desire to be big overlook the small matter of having enough songs that land with the listener.

The Heartbreakers’ Benmont Tench and Mike Campbell Will Reunite for ‘Last Waltz’ Tribute Tour

The all-star tribute to Robbie Robertson coming to Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Oct. 17 won’t be just a one-off event. Two days later, the Life Is a Carnival: Last Waltz Tour ’24 will kick off with a bill that includes Ryan Bingham, Jamey Johnson, Mike Campbell , Benmont Tench , Don Was, John Medeski, Dave Malone, Terence Higgins, Cyril Neville, and Mark Mullins & the Levee Horns. (Lukas Nelson will appear at three shows in Colorado in the place of Johnson.)

The tour begins Oct. 19 at the Warfield in San Francisco, just a mile and a half from the Winterland Ballroom, where the Band gave their original Last Waltz 48 years ago. It crisscrosses North America over the next month, wrapping up Nov. 16 at Meridian Hall in Toronto, Ontario.

This year’s Last Waltz tour reunites Campbell and Tench on the road. They played together on several one-off occasions, most notably at Farm Aid in 2023 when they backed Bob Dylan, but they’ve resisted the opportunity to reform the Heartbreakers with guest singers.

Creed, Tonic play Nashville with surprise appearances by HARDY, Aerosmith member Brad Whitford

Nineties rock band Creed hasn't released new music in 15 years. The band has only been reunited (this time) for about a year. Yet their Summer of '99 Tour has sold out most every show, last night's Ascend Amphitheater show included.

As the stage lights went out signaling time for Creed to take the stage, it was evident why. While the band may have come and gone through the years — their fans have not.

Opening bands Finger Eleven and Tonic kicked off the night on what was arguably a perfect amphitheater concert evening with cooler temperatures and a nice breeze blowing across the crowd.

Nashville resident Emerson Hart, front man for Tonic, nailed it when he told the crowd, "What a beautiful night for rock and roll. We couldn't have asked for a better night."

Before leaving the stage, Tonic brought out a special guest: Brad Whitford, guitarist from the legendary rock band Aerosmith , whose son Graham Whitford plays guitar for Tonic. The band and their added guitar player for the night busted out a version of Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion."

Creed took the stage shortly after 9 p.m. just as the sun was setting over the Nashville skyline. In a dramatic opening, the band kicked off the set with blasts of fire, lasers and all the blazing guitars fans want in a rock show.

Fronted by Nashville resident Scott Stapp, clad in all black with muscles and tattoos covered in chunky jewelry, was the ever-present front man fans remembered from the band's heyday in the late '90s and early 2000s.

After opening with "Bullets," "Are You Ready," "Never Die" and "My Own Prison," Stapp took a minute to introduce a special guest saying that the two met when he "slid into my DMs."

Special guest: HARDY releases his new album 'Quit!!', revealing the core of his fearless rock-star spirit

Nashville favorite HARDY, who has been known to play Creed covers during his own live shows, joined the band including Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips on "Weathered," much to the crowd's delight.

Next, Tremonti told the crowd the rowdiest person in the crowd during the band's next song would win a guitar that he held up to tease the crowd. The band launched into "What If" before pulling a young, sunglasses-clad boy out of the crowd and presenting him with the guitar.

Capping off the night with crowd favorites "With Arms Wide Open," (which Stapp introduced by bringing his young son Anthony out on stage) and "Higher," the band made it clear to the crowd those songs still carry the same intensity they did when they were released nearly 25 years ago.

If you missed Tuesday night's Nashville show, never fear. Creed will be back in Nashville on Nov. 8 at Bridgestone Arena with 3 Doors Down and Mammoth WVH.
