Jacinta and Chris were wonderful. The trip was a dream come true for my husband and I. The hotel was amazing. The people we met and traveled with were all so fun and friendly. I loved every second of it. I’ll remember this trip for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for allowing us the pleasure of just enjoying ourselves.

There are many factors that add up to create the unique atmosphere of the race. Experiencing the buzz around the Tour never gets boring; the road graffiti, the decorated towns, the sound of the helicopters as the race approaches and the noise of the crowds.

Wow!!! Beautiful trip to the Mediterranean!! Couldn't have gone better!!! Every aspect of the trip was picture perfect!!! Many memories to reflect on!!!

I manage a hotel and Thompson Tours Eileen Miner scammed us out of payment!! Gave us some sob story about her credit card being hacked. Then never answered our calls, emails texts, from us. We sued her and won, however she still hasn't paid. Please don't book with her. From what I understand this is a frequent thing she does.

Unfortunately, I need to amend my earlier review from September 2, 2023. After a medical emergency on a trip to Ireland, my relatives have been unsuccessful in obtaining any reimbursement for expenses occurred under the trip insurance they paid for. Eileen has been unresponsive to all contact efforts for months. She was helpful at the time of the emergency but non responsive to all follow up efforts on reimbursement. Like others, my relatives paid for travel insurance but received no confirmation or policy details.

My mother and Aunt recently traveled to Ireland on an organized tour with Eileen. Thankfully, they took out trip insurance as Eileen suggested because on day 1, a medical emergency required them to remain in their first destination town while their tour continued on. We can't say enough positives about Eileen's attention to detail to help ease their minds, from rebooking hotels to arranging transport to upgrading airline seats (at our request) and arranging assistance on all steps of the return flight home. Can't comment on the tour but can highly recommend traveling with Eileen.

Great trip to the Mediterranean!!! Everything went smoothly!!! Many lasting memories!!!! Thanks Eileen

I can only post a warning about traveling with Thompson Tours. If you choose to book a trip and take insurance through Thompson, make sure you have the insurance company, policy number, and what is being covered as soon as you can after you book. Have the information in writing along with a contact name and number in the event you need to cancel or have problems during your trip. Enough said.

just returned from a trip to Italy and a cruise to Turkey and the Greek Islands. It was amazing!!! The accommodations in Italy were great and we loved the beautiful town we stayed in. I love to cruise and the ship, Enchantment of the Seas, was wonderful! We were busy everyday with excursions and we will never forget what we experienced. We were a party of eight and our guide, Ellen, was very nice and took care of all our needs. I would like to thank Eileen Minor and our guide, Ellen, for a wonderful trip!!!

Second time using this agency. First time went well, as far as we know. But after this last trip in January, we eill never use her again. We paid for travel insurance, but found out she never got it for us. Thank heavens we didn't have to cancel our trip. We went with her a few years ago and now I am wondering if our travel insurance was paid that time. None of our group remembers getting any confirmation from the insurance company. She rarely returned emails or phone calls after she got our money. Her prices are good, but you get what you pay for.

I didn't want to believe that the comments were true as I also read great comments about some of the trips. I went ahead and booked our Penn State Rose Bowl trip. The trip itself was great! Well organized. However, I paid a $400 deposit that took a lot of work to get back, as the deposit was not taken off my total amount. I called her to make sure I got the $400 back and Eileen said I would be paid back by the end of the day when she called me back. I did not receive the money. When I reached out to see what had happened, she said she couldn't pay me back because I filed a dispute with Paypal. I never filed a dispute and sent her a screenshot of the dispute screen that showed no disputes. I asked her to send me a screenshot of what she was seeing on her end. I never received one. After about a month of back and forth, I requested her to pay me back through the request option and she paid it. I thought we were settled and now my request is being disputed. I have spent way too much time keeping documentation, emailing and calling to get my money back. Now I have to spend more time fighting the dispute. It's a shame because our trip was so great! I'd go a different route in the future. One and done for me!

Minus 2 stars. Worst trip ever. I was part of the original group that booked this back in September 2019 for the August 2020 trip to Ireland for the Notre Dame vs. Navy football game. Was promised things on the agenda that never happened. One being a ferry ride to the Aran islands. She claims it was due to water being too rough. Total BS. There were ferries going out. She just over extended her agenda. the entire group (minus Eileen of course) stranded in Kinsale Ireland with no way back to the hotel we were staying at. She told us the hotel would pick us up. Nope they do not. Our bus driver could not pick us up as he had met his limit on hours driving. took one taxi driver several trips to get us back. Did not get our game day tickets until the day before. Come on they are all digital now, not paper ones to hand out. my guess is she didn't even have them until then. We came from Ohio, so we did not fly out and back with the rest of the group. Some of them noticed we were treated different. she just had excuse after excuse as to why something did not happen. Then we are in a foreign country without transportation back to airport (2 hours away) until late the afternoon before we left. After she said it is handled. Then we hear her at the desk making the arrangements after she was confronted about it by my cousin. They were not made before hand as she said. The rest of the group left at 2:30 in the morning for the 4 hour drive to Dublin airport. Ireland was beautiful but would not ever book with her again. DO NOT USE THOMPSON TOURS. It will just add stress to what is supposed to be a relaxing time.

Well it's over a year since our trip was canceled and we still didn't receive a full refund. I've spent so much time texting, emailing and call her, plus writing the BBB and the Attorney General trying to get a refund. I guess when she heard from the Attorney General's office I finally got a text from her and we were suppose to receive a full refund at the end of January. We received a partial refund with a promise of the balance in February. We received another partial in March. It is now almost July she still isn't answering her phone, texts or emails or returning calls from messages left on her voice mail, so now I am writing the Attorney General again. No star rating for Eileen Minor. I had to give her one to post this review.

Fuel your wanderlust

Engine

Where dreams meet the horizon

The horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine is famously smooth and powerful. The latest version is a 1833cc design that’s over 13 pounds lighter than previous generations (more than eight pounds less for our DCT trims).

thompson tours 2023

Double wishbone front suspension

The radical, Honda-engineered double-wishbone front suspension provides more room and stellar handling. The innovative design changes the wheel's path, letting us move the engine and the rider/passenger closer to the front wheel.

thompson tours 2023

Advanced meters

The cockpit meters are information central. In addition to the basics like vehicle and engine speed, ride mode, fuel level, and more, you can also monitor outside air temperature, cruise control speed, and even selected phone apps linked through Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto™.

thompson tours 2023

Large trunk

The trunk holds 61 liters. That means, in most cases, you can get two full-face helmets in there. Combined, the trunk and saddlebags give you 121 liters of storage, plenty to hold what you need for a weekend’s travels.

Luxury. Power. Freedom.

Six-speed manual transmission

Six-speed manual transmission

If you prefer a manual transmission, the latest model offers the best conventional gearbox in Gold Wing history. A case in point is an overdrive sixth gear, so highway cruising is supremely smooth.

Standard on: Gold Wing Tour

Ride modes

The engine offers a wide range of user-friendly power, and you can even choose between four ride modes (Tour, Sport, Rain, and Econ), with each mode varying the power output so you can tailor the bike to your current riding conditions.

Standard on: all trims

Hill Start Assist

Hill Start Assist

All models offer Hill Start Assist (HSA). This feature momentarily holds your motorcycle’s position on inclines after you’ve released the brakes and before you apply the throttle, eliminating any roll-back drama.

Reverse

The DCT models offer an exclusive low-speed reverse that uses engine power, while the manual transmission bikes offer a unique electric reverse. Both systems make maneuvering your bike out of parking spaces easier, especially if you need to roll back up an incline.

Standard on: all DCT models

Anti-Lock Braking System

Anti-Lock Braking System

All models are equipped with our combined Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) for excellent stopping power under a wide variety of road and traction conditions.

Electric windscreen

  • Electric windscreen

The windscreen is electrically controlled and provides excellent protection from the elements, moving both up and down over a 4.9-inch range and changing its angle as it raises and lowers. Plus, it automatically remembers the last setting.

Cruise control

Cruise control

The Gold Wing was one of the first touring bikes to offer cruise control, and with our advanced throttle-by-wire system, it’s better than ever.

Heated grips

Heated grips

Part of riding a bike is enjoying the elements. But nobody likes being cold. That’s why all models come equipped with electric heated grips as standard equipment.

Smart key

When the electronic smart key is in close proximity, you can hop on, press a button, and ride off. Plus, an “answer back” feature lets you find your bike in the dark or in a crowded rally parking lot.

Mavericks' Free Agency Additions Will Revolutionize Offense

  • Dallas Mavericks

Last season, the Dallas Mavericks lost in the NBA Finals 4-1 to the Boston Celtics for a myriad of reasons. For one, Jayson Tatum 's elite versatility on defense forced Luka Doncic into uncomfortable decisions out of the pick-and-roll, unable to simply pick apart coverages as he was able to against other teams. Boston also had no respect for the pick-and-pop that Dallas ran with forwards Derrick Jones Jr. and P.J. Washington , as they shot a combined 26.5% from beyond the arc.

It was important, to say the least, that the Mavericks address this issue in the offseason, something they did thrice over by signing three good-to-elite catch-and-shoot players in Klay Thompson , Naji Marshall , and Quentin Grimes . On top of this, all three of these players have pedigree on the defensive perimeter, another problem Dallas faced in this Finals when guarding Jaylen Brown and the aforementioned Tatum.

READ MORE: The X-Factor That Could Change the Dallas Mavericks

These acquisitions are important because all three should be beneficiaries of the "Luka Bump," a.k.a. the increase in open looks they will get due to the Doncic's gravity. Even as the lead initiator, Doncic is such a threat to score that no matter where he is on the floor, he will be the primary focus of the defense.

This comes to fruition in many forms, including blitzing the pick-and-roll, double-teaming on isolations, and sending defenders on hard closeouts due to his ability to shoot the three off the bounce. These defensive strategies all come at a cost to the defending team: there will be an open look, whether it be a weak side three just a skip pass away, or a lob at the rim.

READ MORE: NBA Champion Thinks Kyrie Irving is Better Than Steph Curry

His distribution ability is evident in his outrageous 44.3% assist rate, which correlates to his proclivity for scoring off the dribble. The fact is, the previously mentioned additions to the Mavericks in Thompson, Marshall, and Grimes will all see increases in open looks from their previous destinations all for different reasons.

Thompson will be able to screen for Doncic (and for Kyrie Irving ) in multiple offensive sets, resulting in wing-to-guard pick-and-pops, while Grimes and Marshall will play more complimentary roles off the ball. It's likely the Mavericks engage in more off-ball screening in general with these new pieces, creating an offense that isn't so reliant on dribble penetration and can flow more freely

In creating a new offensive system, the numbers may not reflect a significantly better outcome in points per shot or offensive rating, but that is not the point. The primary function of doing this is to be better equipped to play against a team like Boston and force them to take pick-and-pop actions seriously in order to create lanes to drive to the basket.

These three players could have that effect immediately.

Lemons Releases 2023 Race and Rally Calendars

thompson tours 2023

Sign up now for your races and rallies from the 27-event Lemons 2023 schedule!

Santa Cruz CA– Another year drawing to close means only one thing: the release of the 2023 24 Hours of Lemons and Lemons Rally schedule! It’s the 17th season of racing for $500 cars and the eighth Lemons Rally season. That’s right–there’s room for everyone and their crappy cars in the year to come.

thompson tours 2023

The Schedule

The 24 Hours of Lemons race calendar sees longtime stalwarts Carolina Motorsports Park and Thunderhill Raceway on the schedule. Along with those annual pilgrimages come fine facilities like Pittsburgh International Race Complex and big-league staples like Sonoma Raceway. Sign up now to reserve your spot and your car number without payment until the race dates draw nearer.

Returning for 2023 is Lemons’ presenting sponsor, eBay Motors. They will be providing a box o’ repair stuff in HQ at each race next season ( the “eBay Motors to the Rescue!” ) box. In addition, next year sees the continuation of the eBay Motors Halloween Meets Gasoline Prize for the weekend’s best theme, good for $1000 and a swank trophy.

Yokohama Tire continues in 2022 as the official tire of the 24 Hours of Lemons. The Yokohama Road Mangler Cup will again give teams the chance to win a set of Yokohama Tires simply by running Yokohama tires with the Lemons-very-approved Road Mangler LM graphics.

If you’re looking for a team to join, a new teammate for your own team, or even a racecar to buy or rent, Lemons’ matchmaking sites (our own OKStupid tool , our Facebook Matchmaking Group , and our Forum Matchmaking List ) can all hook you up easily. Try ‘em right now!

Lemons Rally

The Lemons Rally –long-distance road trip/scavenger hunts out in public plagued by terrible, forgettable, or otherwise strange machines—takes on another six-event calendar to some new and (actually) exotic locales this year. The Retreat From Moscow, Rust Belt Ramble, and Fall Fail-iage Tour return as annual staples. The Rocky Mountain Breakdown also takes Lemons to new states Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana.

However, the big news is the summertime’s I-Threw-A-Rod Alaska Rally. That rally has limited space (come on–it’s going to Alaska) but also promises to be epic.

See below for the full schedule at this time and register for the events early on 24hoursoflemons.com right here .

Meet 2023 Epson Tour Graduate Gabriela Ruffels

T his time last year, Gabriela Ruffels was making plenty of headlines, but not for a good reason.

After finishing 15th in the Epson Tour’s Race for the Card in 2022, Ruffels automatically qualified for LPGA Q-Series in December but still needed to register for the event by 5 p.m. on October 11. Thinking she had already done so, the deadline to sign up came and went, and it was only after the registration window closed that Ruffels realized she hadn’t actually signed up to compete in LPGA Q-Series, a costly mistake that caused her to miss out on an opportunity to earn LPGA Tour Membership in just her second year as a professional. It also meant that she’d once again have to fight for a spot in the Race for the Card top 10 the next season on the Epson Tour.

For some players, that kind of blunder might have mentally derailed them as they kicked themselves for such a simple clerical error that kept them from reaching the pinnacle of the women’s game and achieving a lifelong dream. Others would’ve pointed fingers and blamed others for the mistake, claiming that they didn’t have all the necessary information or that someone should have reminded them of the deadline when they noticed they hadn’t registered.

But that’s not Gabi Ruffels.

With a poise that belies her age, Ruffels owned the situation, picking herself up and dusting herself off, resetting and refocusing during the off-season, determined to make the most of another year on the Epson Tour. And boy, did she ever.

Ruffels raced out of the gate in 2023, capturing her first professional victory in just the second event of the Epson Tour season at the Carlisle Arizona Women's Golf Classic, where she won by two shots over Kathleen Scavo. Ruffels then tied for sixth in her next start at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, winning again just a few starts later at the Garden City Charity Classic at Buffalo Dunes, defeating Isabella Fierro, Agathe Laisne and Ga Yul Kang by a whopping four shots.

She cooled a bit after that victory in Kansas but still managed to record four top-15 results in her next five tournaments after taking home her second Epson Tour title, most notably finishing solo third at the Twin Bridges Championship and tying for fourth at the French Lick Resort Charity Classic. Ruffels then struck again at the Four Winds Invitational, picking up her third career victory at South Bend Country Club in South Bend, Ind., and winning by three shots over Becca Huffer and Katherine Smith.

It was that last win that pushed Ruffels over the $150,000 mark in season earnings, helping her to clinch her LPGA Tour card for the 2024 season and ultimately secure Epson Tour Player of the Year honors, all accomplishments that were a dream quickly realized for Ruffels, who had only turned professional in 2021.

“It's definitely a dream come true, and it was a huge goal of mine ever since I turned pro. I was super grateful to have done it with six events left,” said Ruffels, who will be a 2024 LPGA Tour rookie. “It was surreal being at the card ceremony after last year and what happened with Q-School registration and everything last year. Super grateful to be here. I can't wait for next year.

thompson tours 2023

Unlike many of her counterparts, Ruffels, whose parents Maria Fernandez and Ray Ruffels were both professional tennis players, spent much of her childhood on the tennis court instead of the golf course and didn’t pick up the game until she was around 14 years old. Despite the late start, she quickly rose through the junior ranks to land a spot on the women’s golf team at the University of Southern California and was then thrust fully into the spotlight when she became the first Australian to win the U.S. Women’s Amateur in 2019.

It was that 1-up victory over Albane Valenzuela at Old Waverly Golf Club that showed Ruffels she had the potential to pursue the game at its highest level and that she could hang with the world’s top talent, ultimately leading her to set her sights on the LPGA Tour and motivating her to do whatever she needed to do to get there.

“(The U.S. Women’s Amateur) definitely was a breakthrough moment,” Ruffels said. “I didn't really do much in my first two years in college, and then to be able to win the U.S. Women's Amateur, the biggest women's amateur event, showed me that maybe I can do this for a living and maybe I can be okay at it. And it showed me that I could compete with some of the best girls in the world, whereas prior to that, I didn't know if I could, or I didn't know if I wanted to do this for a living.”

Oh, yeah, we'll see 2019 #USWomensAm champion Gabriela Ruffels at the 2020 @uswomensopen at Champions Golf Club. Can't wait. pic.twitter.com/wuqRQ6bhme — USGA (@USGA) August 11, 2019

While both the LPGA and Epson Tours have seen plenty of pro golf sister acts in recent years with siblings like Nelly and Jessica Korda, Moriya and Ariya Jutanugarn and Kristin and Jenny Coleman all having success on their respective tours, brother/sister duos are much rarer. Brett and Sarah White on the Epson Tour come to mind, but the most well-known brother and sister professional golfers by far are Australians Minjee and Min Woo Lee, who play on the LPGA Tour and the PGA and DP World Tours, respectively. Ruffels will join that small group as one of just a few modern female players whose brother is also pursuing a professional golf career, as her older sibling Ryan is working to achieve his dream of competing full-time on the PGA TOUR.

Ryan is two years older than Gabi, and she has leaned on her brother a lot throughout the process of turning pro and playing professional golf, really valuing his insight and opinion on the lives they lead on and off the course. Ryan has even caddied for Gabi a time or two in the many LPGA tournaments she’s played in as both an amateur and non-member. While he can’t hit the shots or win events for her, the wise advice that Ryan has provided over the years has helped Ruffels grow into the player she is today, one who has a laundry list of incredible achievements and one who will surely fit right in on the LPGA Tour next season.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ryan Ruffels (@ryan_ruffels)

“He has a great golf mind and a lot of knowledge that I feel like I don't quite have yet. Even just practicing with him and playing with him, we've been able to learn a lot from each other. There is a competitive aspect, but you want each other to do well and it's not like we're playing on the same tour or anything.”

But Ruffels certainly has more than enough experience of her own to rely upon as she looks ahead to her rookie year in 2024. She has played in 22 LPGA Tour events since 2019, making the cut in 14 of them and earning a best finish of T13 at the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open. In those 22 tournaments, she has recorded 16 rounds in the 60s, the best of which was a 7-under 65 at the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club.

Add in her dominance on the Epson Tour this year, and Ruffels has a more than good enough resume to hang with the top talent on the LPGA Tour next season, something she’s looking forward to doing in just a few short months. She’s also looking forward to continuing the legacy of Aussie success that players like Minjee Lee, Hannah Green and Grace Kim have carried forward in recent years.

thompson tours 2023

“When I first started playing, Hannah and Minjee were at the top, even in amateur golf, and to see what they’ve done at the pro level, I can only aspire to do the same,” said Ruffels of her fellow countrywomen. “It’s gonna be fun playing alongside them next year and all the other Aussies that are doing well too, so I’m looking forward to it and hopefully, I can do just as good.

“I’m looking forward to just getting out there and playing the tournaments that I've watched on TV and playing with some of the best golfers in the world week in and week out. It's been a dream of mine ever since I started playing and to be able to have that dream realized is something so special and I can't wait to get out there.”

‘huge blow’: manitoba's northern bus line announces final stop back to video.

“It’s just a huge blow to all the communities up here as far as I’m concerned,” Flin Flon Mayor George Fontaine said on Wednesday reacting to the news that the Mahihkan Bus Lines has announced they will cease operations on Sept. 6.

Mahihkan Bus Lines, which according to its website is 100% First Nations owned and operated, posted a statement on their Facebook page on Tuesday saying that they will cease operations next week.

“Despite our best efforts to sustain our business operations in order to provide a reliable transportation option for residents in northern Manitoba, ongoing market volatility, inflationary pressures and challenging economic circumstances have forced us to make this difficult decision,” the company said on their Facebook post.

Since being founded in 2019, Mahihkan Bus Lines has been running bus routes to and from several northern Manitoba communities to centres including Winnipeg, with the service currently offering routes between Winnipeg and Flin Flon, and Winnipeg and Thompson five days a week.

The service was launched just about a year after Greyhound Canada announced they were ending their long-time passenger bus service in western Canada, which previously offered bus services out of Flin Flon to communities in Manitoba, and across much of western Canada.

Fontaine called the loss of another long-distance bus service “devastating” for his community and for northern Manitoba.

“When we lost Greyhound that was already devastating because we lost the ability to travel to other provinces, and now with this news, we are losing one of the only routes to Winnipeg and to the south,” he said.

“Unfortunately when it comes to transportation in the north we just keep taking steps backwards.”

He added the bus route was important for people who didn’t own their own vehicles and for people who did, but didn’t feel safe doing long-distance trips on remote highways.

“I know from talking to people that a lot used that service even if they own their own vehicles, because they don’t always feel capable of making that drive to Winnipeg especially in the winter, and some of them are getting older, and don’t want to drive for hours,” Fontaine said.

For those who don’t own a vehicle, Fontaine said the shutdown of the service will leave them “isolated and vulnerable,” especially if they need to travel to other centres to access services like health care, or to be with family and friends.

“I’m certain this will lead to isolation in Flin Flon and in the other communities around here, because we saw it when Greyhound left, and we will see it again,” he said. “This is not a good thing for this community.”

Flin Flon borders the neighbouring community of Creighton, located on the Saskatchewan side of the border, and Fontaine said many who live in Saskatchewan have come to rely on the service as well as their only option to travel to southern Manitoba.

Fontaine said he believes simply continuing on without a long-distance bus service in northern Manitoba would do long-term harm to communities in the north, and he is calling on both governments and private organizations to come together to see if a solution can be found.

“I don’t know if it’s something where it needs to be subsidized, or a style of public transit, or some sort of hybrid model, but the bottom line is this is a service that needs to be replaced,” he said.

“Northern communities can’t be isolated.”

The Mahihkan Bus Lines has been owned and operated collaboratively by six northern Manitoba First Nations since being founded in 2019.

The company did not respond to a request for comment on Wednesday.

LIVE Race-Viewing: VIP Lounge at the Summit Finish on the Alto de Moncalvillo

In the renowned land of La Rioja, celebrated for its distinctive wines, today’s final climb echoes the same bold character. The Alto del Moncalvillo, featured just once before in the Vuelta in 2020 but i already etched in our memories after the fierce battle between Carapaz, Roglic, and Vingegaard – a showdown that ignited the stage with relentless attacks. You’ll ride this famous climb just hours before the pros then settle into the VIP Lounge to witness what promises to be a thrilling stage finish.

LIVE Race-Viewing: VIP Lounge at the Stage Finish in Madrid

This year’s Vuelta culminates in an individual time trial through the streets of the capital city, Madrid. The climbers will need to arrive in Madrid with their homework done if they aim to keep the coveted red jersey. Regardless of the outcome, you’ll be there to witness history unfold from the luxury of the VIP lounge at the Stage Finish.

Map & Profile

Rest Day: Covadonga

Stage 16: luanco to lagos de covadonga.

Lagos de Covadonga is a well renowned climb among cyclists. This particularly long stage will feature two Category 1 climbs, Fitu and Llomena, where the riders who manage to escape will play a starring role before the climb up to Lagos. This is a potentially dangerous stage as it will take place right after a rest day, which could cost one of the favourites dearly.

thompson tours 2023

Arnuero > Santander

This is the final clear opportunity for the sprinters in this edition of La Vuelta. The two Category 2 mountain passes within the first half of the stage will favour an escape, which must then be controlled by the sprinter teams in order to emerge victorious in a sprint to the finish-line in Santander.

thompson tours 2023

Vitoria-Gasteiz > Maestu-Parque Natural de Izki

This mid-mountain stage in Álava, with two Category 2 climbs and one Category 1 climb, has the potential to eliminate the purest sprinters from the peloton. Fast riders who manage to do well in the mid-mountain could become favourites in stages such as this one, which is likely to result in a reduced peloton sprinting towards the finish-line.

thompson tours 2023

Stage 19: Logroño to Alto de Moncalvillo

This stage is practically flat until its final part. The Alto de Moncalvillo, where Roglič obtained victory in 2020, starts off gently and becomes far more challenging in the final kilometres. The favourites must make the most of this in their second-last chance to make a difference to the general classification.

thompson tours 2023

Villarcayo > Picón Blanco

Key stage of La Vuelta 24, with seven point-incurring mountain passes. Following the climb of the Estacas de Trueba Mountain Pass, the race will enter Cantabrian territory and overcome many climbs before returning to the Province of Burgos through the Portillo de Lunada. The Portillo de la Sia and the Tornos Mountain Pass will add another level of difficulty to the stage, whose main highlight will be the Picón Blanco – the race’s final judge.

thompson tours 2023

Madrid > Madrid

La Vuelta will, once again, end with a time trial. Almost 22 km without any significant technical or orographic difficulties that will allow the specialists to test their all-rounder capabilities. If the general classification remains close at this point, these final 22 km will be full of excitement up until the very end.
