Taylor Swift in Dublin: Eras Tour timings, dates, set list, support acts and everything you need to know

Taylor’s glittering Eras Tour continues its epic European leg in Dublin this weekend

Liv Kelly

What time are you arriving at the stadium? Which era are you dressing as? Will you be buying merch before or after the concert? If you’re a Swiftie in Dublin , you haven’t got long left to decide.

That’s because the time has finally come – Mother is on her way to the Irish capital for three nights from June 28. So, ahead of your Wildest Dreams being realised, it’s time to draw that cat eye sharp enough to kill a man and brush up on the timings, setlist and support acts ahead of Taylor’s Eras Tour shows in Dublin. Need some help? Don’t you fret – we’ve got all the relevant info right here.

RECOMMENDED: ✹ Here’s how Taylor Swift has updated her Eras tour setlist for Europe (so far) .

When is Taylor Swift’s Eras tour coming to Dublin?

She’ll be gracing the Irish capital with three shows at the Aviva Stadium this weekend on June 28, 29 and 30.

What time will Taylor come on stage?

Doors open at 5pm and Taylor is expected on stage at around 8pm.

Are there any tickets left?

Sadly not, but keep an eye on Ticketmaster for any resale opportunities.

How much did tickets cost?

Tickets for the Dublin shows sold out fast last summer, with prices ranging from €86 to €206, with VIP packages costing up to €744.

What’s the full setlist for the Eras Tour?

As has been well-documented on TikTok by now, Taylor’s setlist has undergone a pretty major rejig since she released The Tortured Poet’s Department , but don’t worry – there’s still just over three hours of the show. The full confirmed Eras Tour setlist is as follows:

  • Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince
  • Cruel Summer
  • You Need to Calm Down
  • You Belong With Me
  • We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
  • I Knew You Were Trouble
  • All Too Well (10-minute version)
  • … Ready For It?
  • Don’t Blame Me
  • Look What You Made Me Do

Folklore/Evermore (now combined into one Era)

  • champagne problems
  • illicit affairs
  • my tears ricochet
  • Blank Space
  • Shake It Off
  • Wildest Dreams

The Tortured Poets Department (new!)

  • But Daddy I Love Him
  • So High School
  • Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • I Can Do It With A Broken Heart

Surprise songs

These change each night, obvs, but there are always two..

  • Lavender Haze
  • Midnight Rain
  • Vigilante Shit

These are the songs that have been removed as of her first Paris show:

  • The Archer (from Lover era)
  • Long Live (from Speak Now era)
  • the 1 (from folklore era)
  • the last great american dynasty (from folklore era)
  • ’tis the damn season (from evermore era)
  • tolerate it (from evermore era)

Who will be supporting Taylor in Dublin?

American pop-rock band Paramore are supporting Taylor on the European leg of her tour. The nine-song setlist includes bops like ‘Hard Times’, ‘Misery Business’, ‘Still Into You’ and ‘Ain’t It Fun’.

Are there any banned items?

Yes – but hopefully you weren’t planning on bringing any of these things anyway. The ‘ground rules’ section of the Aviva Stadium’s website reads: ‘Fireworks, smoke canisters, vuvuzelas, bottles, knives, glasses, cans, flag poles, banners, laser devices, dangerous or hazardous items and other similar articles or containers including anything which could or might be used as a weapon are not permitted within the ground and any person in possession of such an article or container may be refused entry or ejected from the Stadium.’

Umbrellas, prams and strollers are also not permitted within the stadium, nor are bags larger than A4. Handbags will also be subject to a search by security.

Where else is Taylor performing the Eras Tour?

The tour has been going for over a year, but the end is far from in sight – after Dublin, there are still 25 shows to go in Europe before Taylor finishes up in Canada in December. Here are the other dates following Dublin:

  • July 4, 5 and 6 - Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands
  • July 9 and 10 - Letzigrund Zurich Stadium in Zurich, Switzerland
  • July 13 and 14 - San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy
  • July 17, 18 and 19 - Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany
  • July 23 and 24- Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Germany
  • July 27 and 28- Munich Olympic Stadium in Munich, Germany
  • August 1, 2 and 3 - PGE Narodowy National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland
  • August 8, 9 and 10 - Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, Austria
  • August 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20 - Wembley Stadium in London, UK

Taylor Swift in Dublin: Ticket information, setlist, stage times and more

Everything you need to know about the star’s dublin concerts on june 28th, 29th and 30th.

Ready for it? Taylor Swift ’s colossal Eras Tour is finally coming to Dublin . If you haven’t been planning your outfit like the rest of us for the past year, what have you been doing? It’s nearly time to break out the cowboy hats, boas and all things sparkly.

More than any musical act before her, Swift – who jets around in a private aircraft – has somehow become the most relatable woman in pop by monetising her heartbreak with ridiculously catchy tunes. Since most of us were introduced to Swift with her 2008 hit Love Story, she’s had a chameleonic career. (It’s a little terrifying to think that there will be 16-year-olds at the concerts who weren’t even born when Love Story dropped.) She conquered pop with Red and 1989, took a badass turn in 2017â€Čs Reputation and soothed us during the pandemic with her ethereal Folklore and Evermore albums. Her latest break-up album, The Tortured Poets Department , became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single week.

With dozens of Grammys under her belt over the last 14 years, it was difficult to see how she could get any bigger. How about playing songs from every album – or “era” – at the one concert? It was bold, but it has paid off spectacularly.

Last year’s US leg of the tour was the first in history to make more than $1 billion (€920,000). It is estimated the international stint of the tour will increase that figure to as much as $4 billion (€3.7 billion). Last year she was reportedly receiving $27 million per three-hour show. That’s $150,000 per minute or $2,500 per second. Love her or hate her, that’s impressive. And she’s the first musician to become a billionaire purely off her music alone, and all at the age of 34.

[  Taylor Swift is back on tour. The first night, her three-hour set has 70,000 people rapt  ]

Few artists have the ability to alter the local economy when their show comes through town, but of course Swift can. It appears there’s nothing she can’t do when she sets her mind to it. If The Irish Times received reports she had floated off the Aviva Stadium stage and into the sky, we’d nearly believe it.

Swiftonomics and levitating stars aside, playing live shows off the back of a hit record can be daunting for an artist. But there’s little doubt Swift will meet the exceedingly high expectations. So what can we expect for Swift’s first gig in Ireland since 2018?

When does she play?

The star will play three concerts at the Aviva Stadium on June 28th, 29th and 30th.

Are tickets still available and where can I collect mine?

Are you joking? If you’re reading this you’re probably still traumatised by The Great (Ticketmaster) War of 2023 – as dubbed by Swifties across the world. They fought tooth and nail to get to the front of a digital queue and secure coveted tickets for the Eras Tour. So yes, the concerts are sold out. However, the odd resale ticket has been surfacing on ticketmaster.ie – of course, for ludicrous prices – but keep an eye out there if the fomo gets too much. Buy tickets from accredited sources only.

What if I have a ticket, but need to collect it?

If you are one of the lucky few heading to the gig, Ticketmaster box offices will be located at the Lansdowne Road/Northumberland Road junction for ticket collections.

All early entry VIP ticket holders will be contacted by Ticketmaster via email about entrance information.

Who is the support act?

American pop-punk icons Paramore will warm up the stadium for Swift. As if 50,000 screaming fans wasn’t enough.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open at 5pm before Paramore kick things offat about 6pm. Swift is expected to grace the stage about 7.30pm.

If you would like to buy merchandise but will not have time and/or don’t want to carry it around with you, then fear not, Swift (or her management team, most likely), have thought of everything.

There will be an early merchandise day as part of the tour at the 3Arena, from 10am-8pm on Thursday, 27th June, and from 10am onwards on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 28th-30th June. This is open to all, whether you have a ticket or not.

#DublinTSTheErasTour Early Merch Day will be 27, 28, 29 & 30 June from 10am onwards (27 June 10am - 8pm) and open to all + info https://t.co/cGs2seFqTL pic.twitter.com/41tM9rgngc — MCD Productions (@mcd_productions) June 22, 2024

How do I get there and home again?

Map showing Taylor Swift at Aviva Stadium access routes

Taylor Swift at Aviva Stadium access routes

Organisers have said fans should allow for sufficient travel time to and from the venue. As traffic and parking delays are inevitable, you are encouraged to walk, cycle, use public transport and private coach services.

By Luas: The stadium is a fair walk from the nearest Luas stop. It’s about a 30- 40-minute walk from Ranelagh, Charlemont, Harcourt, St Stephen’s Green, Dawson and Trinity on the Green Line.

By train: Lansdowne Road Dart station is less than a minute’s walk from the southern end of the stadium. There will be large crowds entering and exiting the stadium at the same time, so plan accordingly.

By bus: The Dublin Bus routes that serve the Aviva Stadium are the 1, 4, 7, 7a, 38, 38a, 47, C1 and C2.

When you get to the Aviva, there are a number of entrance routes depending on where your ticket is for:

  • For the Blue Route (West Stand Upper), enter via Shelbourne Road.
  • For the Orange Route (West Stand Lower), enter via Lansdowne Lane.
  • For the Green Route (South Stand and Main Pitch Standing), enter via Lansdowne Road.
  • For the Purple Route (East Stand), enter via Herbert Road/Tritonville Road.
  • For the Red Route (Gold Circle), enter via Bath Avenue.

A spokesman for Irish Rail confirmed to The Irish Times that extra commuter and Dart services before and after Swift’s concerts will be in operation. He said the weekend of Taylor Swift’s concerts is likely to be the busiest of the summer, with a lot of people descending on the capital. Shania Twain is performing in Malahide on the Friday; Dublin Pride and Longitude take place on the Saturday; and Fairview Park concerts and All-Ireland football quarter finals in Croke Park will take place across the weekend.

Irish Rail has advised those travelling to and from these events to plan carefully. Customers are urged to allow extra time for your journey, as high volumes of passengers will likely cause delays. And people not attending these events have been asked to avoid these routes during event times. As part of a Garda event plan for major events at the Aviva Stadium, Grand Canal Dock Station will be closed at the end of the concerts. Irish Rail events teams will be on-site at stations for all big events to assist customers travelling.

For Intercity customers, there will be late-night services after each concert at 12.40am from Heuston to Cork, with a connection to Limerick. This service must be booked in advance. More information can be found at irishrail.ie .

There are also plenty of commercial operators providing services to and from the concert, such as: Travel Master , Irish Concert Travel , Concertbus.ie , BusesToConcerts.com , JJ Kavanagh , Matthews Coaches , Halpenny Travel , East Coast Coaches . Even Belfast City Sightseeing is getting in on the action. Tickets on these services are booking out fast, so don’t waste time if you’re yet to book a seat.

By car: There is no bike or car parking at the stadium on concert days for security reasons. There are, however, commercial car parks around the city, such as Claremont Parking or Q-Park , but spaces are limited. If you’re travelling from outside the county and have a friend with a space in their driveway within the M50, that could be a good shout.

[  The Eras Tour movie review – Swifties lose all inhibitions during this spectacle like no other  ]

What will she play?

era tour dublin

The Eras Tour is a tightly choreographed show, and you can expect little change in her set list from previous concerts. Since the release of her Eras Tour movie, which grossed more than $260 million (€239 million) last year, she has included songs from The Tortured Poets Department to the set list. This is what she performed at a more than three-hour show in Lyons earlier this month, arranged by album:

  • Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince
  • Cruel Summer
  • You Need to Calm Down
  • You Belong With Me
  • We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
  • I Knew You Were Trouble
  • All Too Well
  • ... Ready For It?
  • Don’t Blame Me
  • Look What You Made Me Do

Folklore/Evermore

  • champagne problems
  • illicit affairs
  • my tears ricochet
  • Blank Space
  • Shake It Off
  • Wildest Dreams

The Tortured Poets Department

  • Female Rage The Musical (Medley of My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys; Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?; loml; So Long, London; But Daddy I Love Him.)
  • So High School
  • Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • I Can Do It With a Broken Heart

Surprise songs

  • Glitch/Everything Has Changed
  • Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus
  • Lavender Haze
  • Midnight Rain
  • Vigilante Sh*t

As always, Swifties are an active fan base. If you’re a Spotify user you can listen to this fan-made playlist to get yourself hyped. It has a whopping 1.2 million likes on the platform.

What’s the story with security?

Don’t bring a bag unless absolutely necessary, as you’ll be patted down and searched while everyone else is fast-tracked through security. Any bag must be smaller than a sheet of A4 paper. Banned items include umbrellas, large-lens professional cameras, flagpoles, selfie sticks, sticks for banners, anything that could be used as a weapon, bottles, glass vessels, cans, flasks, frisbees, illegal substances, scooters, skateboards or other skates, laser devices, prams or pushchairs, inflatable or folding chairs, suitcases, laptops, illegal merchandise, hampers and cool boxes, air horns, and all animals except service dogs and guide dogs.

What about disabled access?

Contact MCD productions at [email protected] for accessible parking and information about wheelchair access to the venue and accessible seating.

Can I take photographs at the concert?

Yes, but only with a smartphone or small digital camera. Professional cameras with a detachable lens and any other recording equipment are banned.

What’s the weather forecast?

At the time of writing, there is no rain expected at all this weekend. Friday is set to be cloudy with temperatures between 11-19 degrees. Saturday will see some clouds but also some sun and temperatures between 13-19 degrees, while Sunday will be much the same, with temperatures between 13-17 degrees.

The show will take place rain, hail or shine though, so keep an eye on the ever-changing Irish weather forecast and dress accordingly. Think wellies, boots or runners, layers, raincoats/ponchos and sun cream. But remember – no umbrellas. Let’s just hope it’s not a cruel summer.

Why didn’t my access code work?

You may have maxed out your ticket limit. Due to demand, all events have a ticket limit to allow more fans like you to get tickets.

Can I enter multiple codes?

No. Only one code can be processed during each transaction. Separate transactions will be required for each access code held.

What happens if I’m on the waiting list?

If you move off the waiting list, you will receive two SMS messages containing your access code details and where to access the relevant on-sale. Keep in mind, your notification may come at any time after the on sale. When notified, your SMS will include:

It has been receiving rave reviews from both critics and fans and will finally make its way to Ireland this weekend. Ahead of the concerts, organisers have been issuing key information to fans - including the all-important timings.

Stage times

It has been confirmed that turnstiles will open from 5pm for most concertgoers, with the exception of a limited number of early entry VIP ticket holders, who will be let in shortly before general doors.

All three Irish concerts will kick off at exactly 6pm. Paramore are the support act for the Dublin shows, so the band are expected to be on stage at that time.

While the full schedule for the shows is yet to be confirmed, based on the recent concerts in the UK, Paramore are likely to perform for around 45 minutes - from 6pm until 6.45pm.

Taylor is likely to take to the stage at 7.15pm, performing a mammoth three-and-a-half hour show, which will end at around 10.40pm.

How to get Taylor Swift tickets

Resale for The Eras Tour in Dublin has officially been activated. Tickets are likely to sell out almost as soon as they’re released, however fans can keep an eye on Ticketmaster HERE for official resale tickets and they could get lucky.

As it’s likely that Ticketmaster’s resale tickets will be snapped up very quickly, another option to consider is ticket resale websites. Viagogo and VividSeats are selling Eras Tour tickets for the shows across the UK and Europe.

Sites such as Viagogo and VividSeats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale - such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation - to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.

With that said, Viagogo also commented: "Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee."

The Eras Tour has already captivated audiences across America, Latin America, Asia and Australia, and is now making its way through the UK and Europe. With more than 100 shows under her belt, fans can expect that the setlist for Dublin will be more or less the same as previous concerts.

In May the setlist changed to include songs from the musician's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. The current setlist features 44 songs, including two "surprise songs" - played acoustically on guitar and piano - which could be anything from her extensive back catalogue.

Here is the setlist in full:

  • Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince
  • Cruel Summer
  • You Need To Calm Down
  • You Belong With Me
  • We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
  • I Knew You Were Trouble

Swift's "The Eras Tour," which kicked off on March 17 - St. Patrick's Day - in Glendale, Arizona, has been described as a "cultural juggernaut" with an estimated economic valuation of $5 billion . Each night, Swift performs 44 songs (including two "surprise songs") in a performance that exceeds three hours.

Pennsylvania native Swift has spent plenty of time in Ireland, and last performed there in Dublin's Croke Park in June 2018.

Later that year, it was reported that Swift and her now ex-beau Joe Alwyn spent Christmas at Glin Castle in Co Limerick .

In 2021, Swift posted pictures on social media that eagle-eyed Swifties believe were taken in Co Donegal .

Everything you need to know ahead of Eras Tour Dublin as Taylor Swift makes divisive changes

era tour dublin

Taylor Swift fans, brace yourself, the Eras Tour setlist is getting a makeover!

The All Too Well singer kicked off the European leg in Paris last night and she’s made some pretty significant changes to the setlist, with some fans up in arms by the omissions.

Today's top videos

Story continues below.

The Shake It Off global  star  will take to the Aviva Stadium stage in the Irish capital for three must-see shows from June 28-30.

era tour dublin

But sadly, for Irish swifties who are fond of the Folklore and Evermore eras, things are about to look very different.

Swift has removed multiple songs from four of the Eras, including Lover, Speak Now, Folklore and Evermore.

The scrapped songs include; The Archer, Long Live, The 1, The Last Great American Dynasty, Tis The Damn Season, and Tolerate It.

era tour dublin

Fearless, 1989 and Midnights have all remained untouched.

It now seems as though Swift is performing both Folklore and Evermore them together instead of as separate eras.

While this is disappointing for fans of the later albums, Swift has been known to switch up the set-list from country to country, with changes likely to be made prior to her Dublin shows.

era tour dublin

The changes were made in order to accommodate seven new songs from Swift’s recently released album, The Tortured Poet’s Department.

These songs are as follows;

  • But Daddy, I Love Him
  • So High School
  • Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • I Can Do It With A Broken Heart

Other changes to the set include several costume changes as well as new updated looks for the European leg. It also seems that each era now has a new costume attached to it.

If Paris is anything to go by, Dublin will see Taylor begin the concert with  Lover the Fearless era, then Red, Speak Now, Reputation, a combination of the Folklore / Evermore albums, then 1989 before debuting the brand new The Tortured Poets Department Era, and finally, Midnights.

Taylor Swift Eras tour: London setlist and everything you need to know

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Forget the Euros, Glastonbury or Wimbledon. The hottest tickets in the UK and Ireland this summer are for one show only: Taylor Swift’s Eras tour , which has now finished its run in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, Dublin and London – until August, that is, when the singer will return to cover Wembley Stadium in another five nights’ worth of sequins, friendship bracelets and VIP guests.

What time do gates open?

Secret songs

How long is the concert?

Of course, actually getting tickets for the biggest tour in a generation – my colleague, Neil McCormick , wrote in his recent definitive review that the Eras tour is “worthy of six stars” and more akin to a religious ritual than a pop concert – is only half of the battle. You might have beaten the Ticketmaster queue and planned an outfit, but are you ready for a three-hour extravaganza packed with secret clues and rituals?

Eras tour UK dates

Swift is playing five more dates in the UK and Ireland:

August 15-20: London, Wembley Stadium

Here’s your one-stop shop for everything you need to know about the UK and Ireland leg of the Eras tour – past, present and future – from timings, support acts and the 46-strong setlist to potential secret songs and special guests.

Fans with early entry should be able to enter Wembley from 4pm, with general ticket holders permitted from 4.30pm.

Swift’s main performance will begin between 7pm and 7.20pm (with the primary support act, Paramore, taking to the stage around 6pm, and the earlier opener expected around 4.30-5pm).

Which songs are on the setlist?

In order, the full setlist is as follows:

From Lover:

Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince

Cruel Summer

You Need to Calm Down

From Fearless:

You Belong With Me

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

I Knew You Were Trouble

All Too Well (10 minute version)

From Speak Now:

From Reputation:

Ready For It?

Don’t Blame Me

Look What You Made Me Do

From Folklore/Evermore:

Champagne Problems

Illicit Affairs

My Tears Ricochet

Blank Space

Shake It Off

Wildest Dreams

From The Tortured Poets Department:

But Daddy I Love Him

So High School

Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?

The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived

I Can Do It With A Broken Heart

Surprise song section (see below)

From Midnights:

Lavender Haze

Midnight Rain

Vigilante Shit

The majority of the Eras setlist hasn’t changed since Swift kicked off the tour in Arizona last March – it still opens with Lover and ends with Midnights, spanning 46 songs and 10 albums (her poor Debut still doesn’t get a look in). But the arrival of The Tortured Poets Department back in April resulted in a predictable switch-up, with certain songs taken off the setlist (The Archer, Long Live, The 1, The Last Great American Dynasty, ’Tis the Damn Season and Tolerate It) to make room for seven from the new album.

Fans disappointed at the changes can always hold out hope that one will appear as a secret song during the acoustic set – which immediately follows The Tortured Poets Department’s section.

The secret songs played so far – and what could be next

The secret song (or acoustic) section of the show is easily the most anticipated by fans. Every night is different – although Swift has abandoned her rule from the US leg that secret songs can only be played once, unless a mistake was made – with Swift having 11 albums of material to choose from.

Swift has swapped performing two full secret songs for ‘mashups’ including, usually, two or three tracks. Here is the full list of secret songs from each UK show so far, and which could be next.

Edinburgh night one:

Would’ve Could’ve, Should’ve/I Know Places

‘Tis the Damn Season/Daylight

Edinburgh night two:

The Bolter/Getaway Car

All of the Girls You’ve Loved Before/Crazier

Edinburgh night three:

It’s Nice to Have a Friend/Dorothea

Haunted/Exile

Liverpool night one:

I Can See You/Mine

Cornelia Street/Maroon

Liverpool night two:

This Is What You Came For/Gold Rush

The Great War/You’re Losing Me

Liverpool night three:

Carolina/No Body, No Crime

The Manuscript/Red

Cardiff:

I Forgot That You Existed/This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

I Hate It Here/The Lakes

London night one:

Hits Different/Death By A Thousand Cuts

The Black Dog/Come Back Be Here/Maroon

London night two:

thanK you aIMee/Mean

Castles Crumbling (with Hayley Williams)

London night three:

Us (with Gracie Abrams)

Out of the Woods/Is It Over Now?/Clean

Dublin night one:

State of Grace/You’re on Your Own Kid

Sweet Nothing/Hoax

Dublin night two:

The Albatross/Dancing With Our Hands Tied

This Love/Ours

Dublin night three:

Clara Bow/The Lucky One

You’re On Your Own Kid

Our predictions:

British fans will be delighted that London Boy and So Long, London live to see another day as potential surprise songs; surely, the first will be turned into a shorter mash-up (I can’t see her playing it in full, what with it being a love letter to her ex boyfriend - awkward) and the latter played on the final night at Wembley on August 20. There’s a few collaborations with British artists that haven’t been played yet, either: I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (featuring One Direction’s Zayn Malik), Everything Has Changed (Ed Sheeran) or Florida!!! (Florence Welch), so they’re looking likely.

Taylor Swift’s set lasts for three hours and 15 minutes: up there with career-spanning performances from Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and The Cure.

The main show begins with the appearance of a ticking clock on stage, which counts down from a total of two minutes while songs from Lady Gaga (Applause) and Lesley Gore (You Don’t Own Me) play in the background.

Once the countdown reaches zero, dancers brandishing ginormous, pastel-hued flags walk out on stage to a backing track listing her various albums (the crowd’s biggest scream being reserved for when it says “My name is Taylor, and I was born in 1989!”). Then, the fabric flags fall to the floor, lifts and reveals Swift beneath, in the centre, ready to be hoisted up on a rising stage block to sing a short version of opener Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince (from Lover) before going straight into her biggest streaming hit, Cruel Summer.

Swift takes no substantial breaks during the three-hour plus set – aside from various outfit or stage changes in between Eras – but there are fleeting moments you can rest, including after the Speak Now section (which is a mere single song, Enchanted) which has a slightly longer interval before Swift begins to perform songs from Red. Don’t forget, either, to put on the special wristband you’re handed on entry – it flashes different colours throughout the set and can often signal surprise songs or special moments.

Prepare your friendship bracelets

Whether you’re a bona fide Swiftie or the parent or guardian of one, I guarantee you will have heard of friendship bracelets. Inspired by a lyric from Midnights’ You’re On Your Own, Kid (“So make the friendship bracelets / Take the moment and taste it”), Swift’s fans wear armfuls of homemade, largely plastic bracelets featuring beads that spell out song names or inside jokes.

Then, once at the show, the fans “trade” bracelets with each other to make new friends. The internet is full of tutorials on how to make them, but if your show is drawing closer and you’re yet to make any, Amazon Prime is your best bet.

What to pack?

Despite what Gen Zs on TikTok may suggest, the Eras tour is just a concert. Thus, it doesn’t necessitate buying fancy new cameras, iPhones, earplugs or battery packs – but you would be wise to pack a jumper (it gets cold – and the ones for sale on the official merchandise will set you back around £60); those friendship bracelets, as well, of course, as your ticket.

The tour is completely sold-out for all dates, but it is worth keeping an eye on your emails as Ticketmaster are reportedly sending out last-minute purchase codes ahead of each date.

What to wear?

Sequins, glitter, cowboy hats – anything goes, as long as you go for it. Find the link to our all-ages guide on what to wear to Swift’s Era’s tour below.

Learn the fan lyrics

If you’re lucky enough to have tickets to the Eras tour, learning 11 albums worth of songs – plus the Vault tracks from her ‘Taylor’s Version’ rerecords – might seem like an impossible task. Unluckily, it’s not just Swift’s 274 official singles (46 of which make up the setlist) that you need to know, because the crowd adds special lines to multiple songs.

During Delicate, from Reputation, fans yell the chant “One, two, three, let’s go b—h!” after she sings “We can’t make any promises, now can we, babe?” Chart-topping revenge anthem Bad Blood, meanwhile, taken from 2014’s 1989, sees fans screech the end of the line “You forgive / You forget / But you never let it go”. Swift’s knowing winks during the songs indicate she knows exactly what the crowd is gearing up for.

Who are the support acts?

US pop-rock band Paramore are the primary support act for all UK Eras shows, and typically begin their 45-minute set at 6pm. There were extra support acts for the first three shows at Wembley Stadium (Mette, Griff and Benson Boone), but ones for the August dates have yet to be announced.

Standout moments so far – concert by concert

The Eras tour is a tightly-run ship revolving around immaculate choreography, a watertight setlist and a performer renowned for her professionalism, but that doesn’t mean every single night is the same. The weather can be temperamental, Swift could bring out a special guest, or you might just spot your favourite A-lister lurking within the crowd (or, more likely, the coveted VIP tent in front of the sound desk). And of course, there’s the secret song section, for which we’ve dedicated a separate section above this one.

Edinburgh: Night One

Fans present at the opening show in Edinburgh were quick to record the moment Swift had to take a break from performing Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve on acoustic guitar – as part of the secret songs set – because of a pesky hand-cramp. As Swift put it: “My hand has frozen in a weird way. This has never happened before!”

Videos of her shivering on stage suggest the reliably-volatile Scottish weather was to blame. Another highlight came courtesy of her backing dancer Kam, recently in the news for his decision to buy a kilt (after worrying it was cultural appropriation), who contributes a city-specific line to We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – Edinburgh’s first one being “Ya wee raj”. Think of it as Taylor does Trainspotting.

Edinburgh: Night Two

Proving that the secret song section is truly what gets the crowd (and internet) talking, Swift’s decision to perform Crazier, a track taken from 2009’s Hannah Montana: The Movie – that she has never played live before – had Swifties around the globe hyperventilating, not least because its inclusion suggested it will appear on the rerecording of her debut album.

Elsewhere, fans of Amazon Prime Video’s hit Outlander would have been wise to peer towards the VIP tent, where the show’s cast – including Sam Heughan – were busy dancing the night away.

Edinburgh: Night Three

Scottish singer Nina Nesbitt, who watched the third show from the VIP tent, shared a moving message on Instagram about her long-term love for Swift. The 29-year-old, who hails from West Lothian, wrote: “It was so special to hear the songs that made me want to pick up a guitar back in the place I’m from”.

Swift’s influence was also keenly felt during her surprise performance of Exile, in which the crowd – all 73,000 of them – dutifully sang Bon Iver’s parts of the song; you can see her joy in videos from the performance in which she’s grinning, in disbelief, that this many people know her music this inside-out.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift)

Liverpool: Night One

You’ll be surprised to learn that Liverpool’s biggest Swiftie is not, in fact, a random teenage girl singing along to Fearless in her bedroom. Jurgen Klopp, the former Reds manager, who has spoken of his love for Swift’s music before, showed up on the first night at Anfield (wearing pink heart-shaped sunglasses, no less) to show his support. Elsewhere, Swift performed I Can See You, a Vault track from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), as the first secret song - fitting given it was filmed in the city last year. No appearance from Sir Paul McCartney - also an avid Swiftie - but there’s two nights left

Klopp wearing pink Taylor Swift heart glasses, what a man đŸ„°đŸ„°đŸ„°đŸ„° pic.twitter.com/9kh7YVitjx — Karen (@Karen31_x) June 13, 2024

Swift used her 100th Eras Tour show to confirm that the tour will end this year, ending speculation that more dates would be added. “The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December. Like, that’s it,” she told the rain-sodden crowd at Anfield. “I think that this tour has really become my entire life,” she said during her intro to All Too Wel. “It’s taken over everything. I think I once had hobbies, but I don’t know what they were anymore.

“All I do when I’m not on stage is sit at home and try to think of clever acoustic song mash-ups and think about what you might want to hear.”

Liverpool: Night Two

Stood just a few heads back from where Swift was seated for the surprise songs set, nothing could have prepared me for the first track: This Is What You Came For, the 2016 hit originally performed by Calvin Harris and Rihanna – that Swift wrote. It will surely be on Reputation (Taylor’s Version); Harris, Swift’s superstar DJ ex-boyfriend, clearly couldn’t be bothered to deal with the social media attention, because he deleted his account on X after this performance. I’ve seen Swift on multiple tours, in wildly different stages of her career, but seeing her on Eras – so confident and self-assured – is a privilege.

British rising star Griff, who will open for Swift on the second night at Wembley, was also present - warning that “if I don’t have a voice next week at Wembley it’s because I lost it at Eras a week early.”

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Griff (@wiffygriffy)

Liverpool: Night Three

A highlight of the Red set is always We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, when Swift’s dancer Kem tries out his best local slang. The third night in Scouseland saw him listen to the TikTok advice and yell “Jog on lad,” much to the delight of the crowd. The Red trend continued through to the surprise songs, when Swift performed the title track from that album – an ode to love, but for one night only, Liverpool FC. Or, of course, the Kansas City Chiefs.

A special mention goes to the Swifties who dedicated a selection of friendship bracelets to victims of the Hillsborough disaster.

Swift had obviously been doing her homework before heading to the Welsh capital’s Principality Stadium, as she uttered a number of Welsh phrases throughout the gig, from “Shwmae Cardiff” (Hello Cardiff) to “Croeso I daith Eras” (Welcome to the Eras tour) and “Un, dau, tri, pedwar” (1, 2, 3, 4). Fan favourite dancer Kam, meanwhile, went for “ych a fi!” (gross) during We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. As the only indoor/closed-roof concert of the UK leg of Eras, meanwhile, some fans in Cardiff were left disappointed there was no firework display during Karma, the closing song.

London: Night One

The first night in the capital was always going to be starry, and Wembley certainly didn’t disappoint. Swift’s boyfriend, the NFL star Travis Kelce, showed up with his brother Jason, along with supermodel Cara Delevingne, fashion designer Stella McCartney, actresses Rosamund Pike, Salma Hayek and Nicola Coughlan and even Labour leader Keir Starmer (with his wife, Victoria). Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales opted to celebrate his 42nd birthday at the show , watching from a private box with his children.

As always, the surprise songs segment proved a winner, as Swift launched into The Black Dog, for the first time ever, which was inspired by her past visits to an unassuming boozer in Vauxhall. Swift has always had a special relationship with London, having lived here for a time when she was dating British actor Joe Alwyn, meaning her first night at Wembley (she has played at the stadium before, as part of 2018’s Reputation tour) was always going to be special. Little wonder she called it “the most exhilarating city in the world”! She even got the weather to bend to her every whim, with the day’s rare sun giving way to rain during Midnight Rain.

London: Night Two

The second night at Wembley took a look at Friday’s guestlist and said oh no, you’re not getting away with that. Two future Kings and a (potential) future Prime Minister had nothing on the second night’s VIP guests: Tom Cruise, Greta Gerwig, Liam Hemsworth, Rachel Zegler, Jamie Dornan, Hugh Grant (eating a bag of carrots in the VIP tent, no less), Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Emily Maitlis, Beth Mead and, again, Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce (seemingly with his full family in tow).

The show turned into a “who’s who” of Hollywood, but it was the appearance of Swift’s beloved mother, Andrea - who got choked up by a hero’s welcome from fans - that touched the heartstrings. Eighteen years of guiding her daughter later, and she’s the biggest popstar in the world, her tickets a hotter commodity than gas or oil (*kind of).

even after all these years, she is so touched by the love of her daughter's fans, and so incredibly proud of taylor's impact. đŸ„čđŸ«¶đŸ»đŸ’œ pic.twitter.com/2fOjuRkaqn — swiftie wins (@swifferwins) June 22, 2024

Also, the secret song choices made this path even more poignant: first up was thanK you aIMee (the capitalised letters spell out Kim, widely thought to be a reference to former nemesis Kim Kardashian) crossed with Mean, Swift’s Grammy-winning country single about classmate jibes and irrelevant haters from Speak Now, where she swapped the lyrics to “Someday I’ll be singing this song at Wembley”. Then came a long-awaited duet with Paramore’s Hayley Williams for Castles Crumbling, also from Speak Now, a sparkling showcase for both women’s talents - and mutual respect and adoration.

London: Night Three

The Sir Paul McCartney trading friendship bracelets from the VIP tent, where he was hanging out with daughter Stella! Swift bringing close friend Gracie Abrams out to sing Us, their collaboration from Abrams’s new album . Once again, it was the VIP guests who got the crowd talking: Macca at the top, closely followed by Jon Bon Jovi, Ellie Goulding, Sophie Turner, Cate Blanchett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Andrew Scott and Piers Morgan.

Swift also made a few pointed comments about the pitfalls of playing live (during the 10 minute-long All Too Well, she stopped for a few seconds, saying “I swallowed a bug, can you sing?”), and the talents of her extensive live band, seemingly in response to disparaging comments made by Dave Grohl in London the day before. At a Foo Fighters gig at the London Stadium, Grohl warned the crowd “Be nice! You don’t want the Swifties after you” before suggesting Swift doesn’t sing live at her live shows.

Dublin: Night One

Swift was welcomed to Dublin with a bunch of flowers from her old friends – and “Irish fan club” – U2. “Already feeling that Irish hospitality!!” she posted on Instagram. She paid tribute to the “folklore” of Ireland and there were Irish references sprinkled throughout the evening, from a “haon, dó, trí, ceathair” countdown in I Can Do It With a Broken Heart to costume changes in the colours of the Irish flag. Paramore singer Hayley Williams also wore a Cranberries t-shirt for her support set.

Dublin: Night Two

Graham Norton showed up at the second Dublin date, with the presenter writing on Instagram that the show was “off the scale fabulous” and calling Swift a “class act in every way”. We wonder if he’s gunning for another appearance from Swift on his famous red sofa back in London; after all, she’s featured many times over the years. In August, ahead of the final Wembley shows, perhaps?

Dublin: Night Three

With Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks (who is currently on her own tour) watching on, Swift performed Clara Bow from The Tortured Poets Department for the first time. Introducing the song, which includes the lyric “You look like Stevie Nicks”, Swift said: “The reason I want to play this tonight is because a friend of mine is here who is watching the show and who has really been one of the reasons why I or any female artist gets to do what we get to do. She’s paved the way for us. And she’s mentored so many artists. I can’t tell you how rare that is. She’s a hero of mine and also someone that I can tell her any secret and she would never tell anybody. She’s really helped me through so much over the years.” Then, Swift sang You’re On Your Own Kid in full, a song Nicks previously said helped her to process the death of her bandmate, Christine McVie. Nicks was seen wiping away tears from the VIP tent during the performance. Hollywood actress Julia Roberts was also in attendance.

Potential special guests

Swift has brought a number of famous guests on stage to sing with her throughout the Eras tour – typically artists with feature credits on her songs. The National’s Aaron Dessner, who produced much of her lockdown albums Folklore and Evermore, appeared in Santa Clara, California, to perform melodic break-up ballad Right Where You Left Me. The National are in Europe throughout the summer for festivals, so he could make a surprise appearance again.

Then there’s sister-indie trio HAIM, who are personal close friends with Swift and featured on No Body, No Crime. Pictures of them out for a meal in London with Swift (and other famous faces, including Kate Moss, Lena Dunham and Andrew Scott) suggest they could make an appearance.

Other potential secret guests range from Lana Del Rey (who sang on Snow on the Beach, and is in the UK in August for Reading and Leeds festivals), Ed Sheeran (Everything Has Changed), Jack Antonoff (Getaway Car and more) and Zayn Malik (I Don’t Wanna Live Forever). All are probable, since Swift already brought out Paramore’s Hayley Williams for their collaboration, Castles Crumbling, and Gracie Abrams (for Us).

The secrets to look out for – and what they all mean

Ask any Taylor Swift fan what the secret to her colossal success is, and you might be surprised by their answer. Her emotionally vulnerable lyrics and 11 chart-topping studio albums come into play, of course, but it’s her Easter eggs – the secret clues she hides in her songs – that have established her as an unprecedented force in the music industry. And she’s done the same with the Eras concert, filling it with clues, tips and tricks hidden behind certain stages, lyrics or costumes that throw light on her life, her passions and her songs. Here we interpret it all for you.

The show opens with Lover – to mark Taylor’s creative rebirth

Released in 2019, Swift’s seventh studio album was meant to get the full bells and whistles treatment: chart-topping singles (Me!, You Need to Calm Down, Lover and The Man) and a sold-out tour (“Lover Fest” was supposed to be a worldwide phenomenon, that included a show at London’s BST Hyde Park). Lover was also intended to mark a creative rebirth for Swift, whose popularity had waned following public spats with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian (that resulted in 2017’s Reputation).

Instead, Covid arrived, the tour was cancelled, and some of the singles flopped (although the album did feature Cruel Summer, surprisingly now her biggest, most-streamed hit). Swift had multiple reasons to open the Eras tour with the Lover section, and track Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince. The album was her first record to be entirely hers – following her legal battle with former record label Big Red Machine, that has seen her rerecord much of her back catalogue – and it never got its glory days because of the pandemic, so she seems to be picking up where she left off.

Some fans have even construed the choice to be aimed at former boyfriend Joe Alwyn, who she reportedly broke up with in March 2023 (the same month the Eras tour kicked off in the US), with Swift the all-American golden girl and he, the brooding British actor, the prince who wound up breaking her heart.

 Then the house burns down

For much of the Lover section, Swift performs on stage in front of a huge glass house with rooms nodding at previous music videos or Eras. As the titular track ends and she prepares to move into the Fearless era, the house bursts into fake flames and looks like it is burning down on stage. Could it symbolise the breakdown of her relationship with Alwyn, an end to her romantic side, or a potential hiatus post-Eras tour?

The Fearless dance

Nostalgia forms the heart of the Eras tour. Over two decades, Swift has released 11 studio albums packed with hits – from Love Story to We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – and made billions of dollars from her music. The tour itself is a celebration of this (as Swift announces at the beginning: “We are about to go on a little adventure together”), as well as her old and new fans. The second part of the show is dedicated to 2008’s country gem Fearless – which won her first Grammy for Album of the Year – and features multiple nods to her younger years and earlier performances, including the jump and spin dance and heart sign she makes with her hands during the title song.

The meaningful outfits

Colours are important in Taylor Swift’s World, because each album is colour-coded (gold for Fearless, purple for Speak Now, black for Reputation, etc). Those signifiers form the heart of many fans’ chosen outfits for the tour, but also Swift’s own style choices on stage. When she announced 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in Los Angeles on August 9, she swapped her usual outfits for blue variants (1989’s colour) throughout the show. The show’s newest Era, dedicated to 11th album The Tortured Poets Department, sees her wear a toned-down spin on a circus ringmaster outfit for I Can Do It With a Broken Heart (a knowing nod to her 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards outfit) – a song about powering through heartbreak to dazzle fans and critics – while the logo on the t-shirt she wears during 22 (from Red) changes depending on the show.

One particular outfit to keep an eye on is the black and red, snake-emblazoned sequin catsuit she wears during the Reputation era – because it’s the only outfit that hasn’t changed since the beginning of the tour.

I Can Do It With a Broken Heart – and the Reputation glass boxes

ICDIWABH, mentioned above, is a defiant, gloriously poppy middle finger-up to anyone who thought Swift would buckle under the pressure of heartbreak and fame. “They said, “Babe, you gotta fake it ‘til you make it” and I did,” she sings. “Lights, camera, bitch smile, even when you wanna die”. The staging itself involves a motionless Swift, lying on the ground after performing The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, being picked up by two grinning circus masters, who strip her dress and replace it with the ringmaster outfit. After flopping and falling around like a ragdoll, Swift suddenly jerks to life and bursts into song – a true professional, at whatever personal cost.

During the Reputation section, meanwhile, and in particular Look What You Made Me Do, Swift performs in front of a collection of glass boxes containing dancers dressed in similar costumes to ones worn throughout her career. The song itself, which was originally aimed at West and Kardashian, is Swift’s way of standing up for herself in front of an industry who expected her to be the meek, good-girl country star, instead of a powerful woman. Taken together, the imagery of both songs (ICDIWABH and LWYMMD) supports this – Swift seeing herself as someone who hasn’t been allowed to grow up, whose entire adolescence (and now, adulthood) was catered to pleasing the public.

Taken from her fourth studio album, 2012’s Red, 22 marked a musical switch for Swift from country to pure pop. During her performance of the song at the Eras tour, she storms down the long stage with her crew of backing dancers to reach one lucky fan at the other end, who is handed the black (personally signed) trilby she wears during the performance (and wore in the original video).

Fans looking to secure the hat would be best to direct their attention to the Taylor Nation social media accounts – allegedly run by a combination of 13 Management, her mother Andrea and father Scott – who personally choose the recipient. One such lucky fan was the late basketball player’s Kobe Bryant’s young daughter, Bianka, who was handed the hat (and embraced) by Swift in Los Angeles.

The Folklore house

Between the pop-tastic anthems of Red and 1989, Swift brings down the tempo for the Folklore section (twinned with Evermore on the European leg). The album, which she wrote and released during the pandemic, was a critical darling; co-written with and produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner, it marked a switch from pop to a more indie, mature sound. During the set, she performs songs from Folklore and Evermore from atop a grassy woodland cabin (inspired by her 2021 Grammy performance) that is also home to the moss-covered piano where she sits and performs Champagne Problems.

So High School’s ode to Travis Kelce

When Swift began the Eras tour, she was newly single and heartbroken, tearing up on stage while performing for songs she had written in honour of former beau Joe Alwyn. Since then, she’s released The Tortured Poets Department, another break-up album widely interpreted to be about Matty Healy, the 1975 frontman who she dated afterwards.

But her current boyfriend, the NFL star Travis Kelce, has no reason to fear, because he gets his love story during So High School. Swift only sings part of the song, which is about her falling head over heels for this teenage-kind of love (and includes the line “You know how to ball / I know Aristotle”), but the accompanying dance is the clearest nod to Kelce. She and her backing dancers sit atop makeshift bleachers and “swag surf” – a waving motion typically used at US sporting events, that she was seen doing during a Kansas City Chiefs game earlier this year.

The Bejeweled TikTok dance

It’s easy to attribute the unprecedented success of the Eras tour to the rise of TikTok. The day after the tour began in Arizona in March 2023, I had seen it in its entirety – from my bedroom in London – thanks to people live-streaming from the concert, or uploading multiple videos. Since then, of course, there has been the blockbuster concert film, but the video sharing platform offered the first opportunity for international fans (or those who couldn’t afford tickets) to see the show.

TikTok even provided Swift with a free choreographer. New Jersey-based creator Mikael Arellano went viral in 2022 with his dance to Bejeweled, the ninth track from Midnights, where he shimmies and shakes his hands and body to the chorus. It racked up billions of views and sure enough, when the Eras tour opened, Swift and her dancers did the same dance. As a way of saying thank you, Arellano was even called up to accept the much-fĂȘted 22 hat in May 2023.

13 things Swifties need to know before heading to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour gigs in Dublin

era tour dublin

Are you ready for it, Swifties? You've fought the Great War for tickets and hopefully sorted out your Eras ‘fit and now it’s finally time to dance the night way in a nice dress as the Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift is set to play three nights at the Aviva following on from a run of shows across the UK and it's safe to say excitement has been building for weeks.

To make sure everything goes All Too Well (but in a good way) when you visit the Aviva on either the 28, 29, or 30 June here are 13 things you need to know about the Eras Tour gigs in Dublin.

Taylor Swift performs on stage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" in Cardiff

These are subject to change but Swifties should plan to be within the venue 45 minutes before the show starts.

The box office will open at 3pm on show days and the doors at 5pm. The show starts at 6pm with support act Paramore warming up for Taylor.

Early queuing

Fans of Taylor Swift in the vicinity of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

Although it’s tempting to get to the Aviva early, you cannot start early queuing or camping hours ahead of the doors opening. A limited number of early entry VIP packages were sold for this event, the Karma Is My Boyfriend Package and the It's A Love Story Package, and these ticket holders will be granted access shortly before general.

If you do turn up early, security and An Garda SĂochĂĄna will be on patrol and will turn away anyone arriving early at the venue who does not have an early entry ticket.

Prohibited items

Taylor Swift performs on stage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" in Cardiff

There are several items you cannot bring to the Aviva when Taylor comes to town. These include:

  • Camping/collapsible chairs/stools/garden furniture
  • Glass, cans, hard plastic or metal containers, or alcohol
  • Umbrellas, selfie sticks, flares,
  • Professional or commercial cameras / photography equipment, video cameras, gopros, audio recording devices, or tripods,
  • Extendable or attachable lenses on cameras or mobile phones

Bag policy and can you bring a charger?

Taylor Swift fans queue outside Murrayfield stadium in Edinburgh

Bags larger than A4 won’t be permitted into the venue, so try and keep what you bring with you to a minimum and avoid backpacks as you might be delayed getting in or even worse, denied entry as there’s no storage for bags on site.

A charging power bank is permitted, provided it is no bigger than your phone. You can also bring a clear, soft plastic water bottle - no larger than 500ml. There will be free water points for pitch Swifties.

Other top tips of things to bring from Swifties who have already been to the tour include suncream, lip balm, and a large camping-style clip to keep your friendship bracelets on. Earplugs might also be a good call as it's going to be a long night!

Prepare for the weather

Taylor Swift performs onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" in Sao Paulo, Brazil

This event will take place rain, hail or shine and as this is Ireland, come prepared for the elements.

Organisers suggest checking the weather forecast before you head out and wearing appropriate footwear - cowboy boots might look amazing with your outfit but perhaps not so great in the mud or rain.

If the sun is shining over the three gigs, think about bringing suncream so you don’t burn!

Entry points

Taylor Swift route map. Pic: Supplied

There are a number of entry points to the stadium. You must enter through whichever gate is detailed on your ticket. For the blue route (west stand upper) enter via Shelbourne Road, for the orange route (west stand lower) use Landsdowne Lane.

The green route (south stand and main pitch standing) has entry from Landsdowne Road and the purple route (east stand) is accessible via Herbert Road / Tritonville Road.

Ticket collection

Ticketmaster box offices will be located at the junction Lansdowne Road / Northumberland Road and on Herbert Road. If you’ve bought a VIP package then Ticketmaster will contact you directly by email.

Under 16s must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian over 25. Those between 5-15 will be allowed on the pitch so long as they are accompanied

There’s nothing worse than leaving an amazing concert and facing the stress of getting home so plan ahead and bear in mind that thousands of Swifties will all be leaving the stadium at the same time.

Don’t rush the exits and make sure you know your best route home whether that’s on the train, by DART, on the bus or by car.

Extra DART services will operate before and after the concert. Landsdowne Road or Grand Canal Dock are the closest stations but it’s important to note that after the concert Grand Canal Dock station will be closed.

Dublin bus Routes 4, 7/a, 39a, 46a, 145 and 155 will operate a full service nearest the venue.

Organisers advise giving yourself an extra three hours travel time to and from the venue and strongly encourage those who can to walk up to the stadium.

Additional accessibility requirements

Swifties who bought accessible tickets will be contacted directly by the venue about parking and drop off locations.

Can you use cash?

We’re afraid not, the Aviva is a cashless venue.

Taylor's support acts

The support acts for Taylor vary throughout the tour but Irish Swifties will get to enjoy a show from rock band Paramore.

Is anyone else determined to get their hands on that navy sweatshirt? Taylor Swift has plenty of merch options for the Eras Tour and the stands have opened ahead of the shows in past cities.

Dublin will be following suit and opening the merch stand at 3Arena North Wall Quay on Thursday 27 June from 10am to 8pm. It'll then open again on the 28, 29, and 30 June from 10am onwards.

If you want to get ahead of the game and do a little research about what's on offer or don't fancy holding onto your new hoodie when dancing at the show, why not look online ahead of the gigs?

'It took approximately 7-8 hours': Dublin worker captures Eras Tour setup at Aviva stadium

era tour dublin

The capital of Ireland is ready for Swiftmania. Taylor Swift will perform three sold-out nights at the unique, state-of-the art Aviva Stadium in Dublin beginning Friday.

"I would say that she is an inspiration of strength. Even though she doesn't know me, she supports me every day when I put on my headphones," said Daniel Aguilar, 18, over X direct message in Portuguese. "I've been a fan since 'Folklore,' but I've always heard her songs on the radio and had several on my playlist."

The bar cashier lives in Ireland and has worked at Aviva Stadium for about a year. He's hoping Swift will make a surprise announcement Friday night.

"Maybe 'Reputation (Taylor's Version)' or the physical 'Tortured Poets: Anthology,'" he said. The Swiftie was communicating from the floor of the concert venue in his Chiefs T-shirt and Swift sweatshirt.

"I'm very excited because it's my first time seeing her live," he said.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

Aguilar snapped photos inside the Irish arena earlier this week capturing trucks on the floor setting up the massive stage. He caught a glimpse of the open-faced backdrop showing the "Folklore cottage" hanging in suspense.

"I found the stage assembly to be very quick. It took approximately 7-8 hours," Aguilar said. "I managed to see some parts of the set before they went backstage like the 'Folkmore' trees, the 'Down Bad' machine and the 'Tortured Poets' bed."

Swift has 28 shows left in Europe and 18 in North America. She stopped in Dublin on her world tours for "Speak Now," "1989" and "Reputation."

Her next stop is Amsterdam over the Fourth of July weekend.

Taylor Swift 's VIP tent was full of star power during another Eras Tour show!

On Sunday, the GRAMMY-winning songstress, 34, hit the stage for her third night at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, and Julia Roberts, Stevie Nicks and boyfriend Travis Kelce were all in attendance. In videos captured by fans, Roberts, 56, was spotted grabbing friendship bracelets from the audience. Meanwhile, the Fleetwood Mac lead vocalist, 76, was spotted in the VIP tent taking in the show.

For his part, Kelce, 34, was seen talking to the famous women. Everyone had one thing in mind, though: jamming out to Swift's music during her performance.

This isn't the first time that Roberts has attended one of Swift's show. In 2023, Roberts and her family attended the Eras Tour . After the show, the Oscar-winning actress took to Instagram to gush about the moment. Roberts also took the stage with Swift in 2015.

Before going into her song "Clara Bow," Swift gave a special shout-out to Nicks -- whom she called a "hero of mine."

"The reason I want to play this tonight is because a friend of mine is here who's watching the show and who has been one of the reasons why I, or any female artist, get to do what we get to do," she said. "She's become friends with so many female artists just to be a guiding hand. I can't tell you how rare that is. She's a hero of mine and also someone that I can tell her any secret and she'd never tell anybody. She's really helped me through so much over the years. I'm talking about Stevie Nicks!"

Kelce, on the other hand, hasn't been far from his girlfriend's mind during her weekend in Ireland. On Friday, Swift hit the Super Bowl champion's signature archer pose  during her performance of "Midnight Rain," which drew boisterous approval. As everyone knows, Kelce famously  strikes that pose  just before he runs out onto the field with the rest of his Kansas City Chiefs teammates.

According to  Page Six , Swift also rewore her Tiffany & Co.  diamond wire ring , which features the couple's diamond-dotted initials.

Prior to taking the stage, Swift shared a bouquet of flowers she received from rock icons U2 , who gave her a welcome to their home country. Swift took to social media to share a pictures of the flowers and the note from Bono and guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen Jr.

"Dear Taylor, Welcome back to our hometown.... leave some of it standing?!!!! Your Irish fan club," the note read.

Swift's Eras Tour has not been without star power. Last week, the stars aligned (sang their hearts out) and packed her VIP area when she did her run of shows in London . Some of the biggest celebs in attendance included her boyfriend, Kelce, his brother Jason Kelce, his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce, Sophie Turner, Cara Delevingne and royalty -- Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

London is also where Swift and Kelce finally went IG official  and where he made his onstage debut alongside his leading lady.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in Dublin on Sunday night brought out all the stops. The third show in Ireland had some truly big names in the crowd with iconic singer Stevie Nicks and America’s Sweetheart Julia Roberts hanging out in the VIP tent for the final night.

Partway through the show, the 14-time Grammy winner’s boyfriend — Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce — arrived at Aviva Stadium. The Chief had been in Los Angeles attending the wedding of teammate Clyde Edwards-Helaire on Saturday night.

There might not have been anyone more excited to see Kelce than Pretty Woman herself as Roberts was seen having an enthusiastic conversation with the big man.

Taylor Swift Mimics Travis Kelce’s Archery Pose Again During Dublin ‘Eras Tour’ Concert

LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 23: EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO BOOK COVERS. Taylor Swift performs on stage during

Taylor Swift demonstrated during her Friday, June 28, Era Tour concert that she is always thinking of boyfriend Travis Kelce .

As Swift, 34, closed out the Midnights section of her first Dublin show , she added a subtle pose reminiscent of Kelce’s NFL stadium entrance. During her performance of “Midnight Rain,” Swift pantomimed doing archery while singing the line, “And he never thinks of me / Except when I’m on TV.”

Swift also stuck her tongue out at the crowd.

Swift’s pretend archery move — which she’s done during past Eras performances of her song “The Archer” — is also how Kelce, 34, kicks off NFL game days. Kelce is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and enters the team’s Arrowhead Stadium by pretending to shoot an archery bow at the crowd.

“I always wanted to do something when I ran out of the tunnel,” Kelce previously explained during an October 2023 episode of his “New Heights” podcast. “I’m like, ‘Man, you know what’s really been motivating for me?’ It’s to always dream big [and] always shoot for the stars, so I’m just out there shooting for the stars, baby.”

Kelce has been dating Swift since summer 2023, going public that September when she went to her first Chiefs game and saw his archery pose in action. Swift even added the move to her “So High School” choreography at all three Wembley Stadium shows in London earlier this month. (During her last Wembley show, Kelce joined Swift on stage for a special cameo during The Tortured Poets Department transition between “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”)

“So High School” is one of Swift’s songs on her latest album, TTPD , and is presumed to be about Kelce.

“Truth, dare, spin bottles / You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,” she sings. “Brand new, full-throttle / Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto / It’s true, swear, scouts honor / You knew what you wanted and boy, you got her.”

Swift added “So High School” to her Eras Tour setlist when the European leg kicked off last month. During the choreography, the pop star and her backup dancers move through a section of bleachers in front of stadium-style LED lights. The performers also mimic Swift’s facial expressions when she attended Kelce’s 2023-2024 NFL season games.

Kelce, for his part, was seen copying the moves during all three Wembley concerts — Swift plays five additional shows in London later in August — while watching from the VIP tent. He also has confirmed that the song is one of his favorites.

“It’s got a little bit of a sentimental meaning , I guess,” Kelce said during a June appearance on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast, confirming he was Swift’s lyrical muse. “I guess so. ‘You know how to ball, I know Aristotle.’”

At the time, Kelce also picked Swift’s “Blank Space” and “Cruel Summer” as other top picks.

“[‘Cruel Summer’] is one of the ones she opens with at her show,” he further gushed during the podcast. “When she comes out, it’s just f–kin’ electric in the stadium. And she goes into an absolute banger like that I was fired up when that happened [at] the first show I was ever at.”

Kelce first attended Swift’s Eras Tour during her July 2023 stop in Kansas City but they were unable to meet. He later lamented his rejection — the NFL star famously made a DIY friendship bracelet spelling out his phone number — during a “New Heights” episode weeks later. Swift eventually heard Kelce’s “metal as hell” shout-out and got in touch. As she recalled in her 2023 TIME Person of the Year profile, the pair started hanging out right away.

They then put their arms around each other before Kelce gave Swift a tender smooch on the head.

The songstress was in a sparkly blue minidress and matching boots, while the athlete sported a white graphic hoodie with matching shorts, sneakers and a baseball cap.

Kelce has been back and forth from the US to Europe as Swift continues the international leg of her record-breaking tour.

On Sunday, he rushed off a plane to her third show at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, after attending his teammate Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s wedding in California one night prior.

Fans caught the moment Swift’s eyes lit up when she saw her beau in the crowd , as many assumed he had “surprised” her.

Kelce also spent time with the pop star in London when she performed back-to-back shows at Wembley Stadium from June 21-23.

For one of the concerts, the tight end even joined the singer on stage for her “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” transition skit.

The skit saw Kelce, who wore a suit and top hat, pick Swift up from the ground after she pretended to faint as he and two other backup dancers helped her prepare for her next track.

On Wednesday’s episode of his “New Heights” podcast, the NFL star gushed over the surprise performance , admitting that he was nervous.

“I was up there with three professionals. You can do no wrong with Taylor on stage. [I kept telling myself], ‘Do not drop the baby. Hold onto the baby,'” he said.

Kelce explained it was originally his idea for Swift to bring him up on stage, though he first proposed a grand entrance of him on a bike during the “1989” era.

“She found the perfect part of the show to put me in,” he added. “It was, like, the safest option.”

The podcaster — who has been dating Swift for nearly a year — also teased that he could very well be  joining her for another onstage  cameo in the near future.
