Top 5 airlines serving from Dublin to Pakistan

The boarding experience was worst ever. Single aerobridge used for boarding and deboarding which led to lot of chaos. Food options were not great. First flight delayed by more than 3 hours which led to missing of the next flight we were stuck at Dubai airport by more than 6 hours

The internet connection did was not functioning as per normal.

very nice experience…….we had a comfortable fly with emirates…this is 6 th time flying with emirates….i recommend friends to fly with emirates…….

we bought trip insurance from you and could not use it. 'underrated' only return 50 % of trip cost. my doctor told me i have stage 4 cancer and that I might not live till the end of the month..

Emirates is always great experience, however, they should reopen their lounge in Istanbul. The IGA lounge is not worth it

I liked everything accept the delay try to improve in that area

Not that good The crew in the plane were rim professional & almost lost in their work distribution

Didn’t like it at all. Cabin crew unfriendly. Very bad experience.

Service needs to improve. Air hostess do not register flyers request and we need to keep on repeating our request to them on multiple occasions

Absolutely terrible delays for 3 hours changed seats after we paid an upgrade on both legs. It appears it’s up to us to request a refund after they down graded our seat. Never again !!

Between Air India and Qatar my luggage was lost for three days. I eventually found my own luggage location using the Apple Air Tag. Air India used a paper form to report my lost luggage. I could never get past getting past luggage personnel with my report number before they would hang up on me. Only after them specifically telling Air India at Chandigarh airport where my luggage was located which was right under their noses did they react. After three days I finally received my luggage. The Air India luggage folks didn’t seem proactive in finding the luggage’s rightful owner.

Qatar airways from Doha to guangzhau was excellent big bird Boeing 777 more room and smoothly flight, I Love it

I found it weird that the quality of the flight different from Australia to Doha than the Doha to Berlin leg. The quality of the toiletries pack (was in a box from Australia) and then a proper bag from Doha. The biggest variation was the inflight entertainment, which had a significantly shorter amount of content compared to the Doha flight. My QSuite seat was also broken and did not recline all the way flat. Wasn’t the best and I wouldn’t be happy if I’d paid cash for the flight.

Online check-in doesn't work. That's why I couldn't give it full Star.

They shld improve and provide a lunch or dinner in an international leg

The staff at the check in lied. I requested aisle seats he said he gave me aisle seats. In actuality he only gave me aisle seat for 2 hour Karachi to Doha flight. From Doha to Dallas flight he gave me middle seat .

The crew was courteous and efficient. There was no entertainment or liquor service on this short international flight.

They have misplaced my one checked bag which I have not received in Philadelphia and have lodged complaint with American Airlines, the staff of Indigo was rude with us, at the checking counter, I think she purposely withheld my one of the checked bag, because the American Airlines staff told me that bag was not received at Doha airport. Kindly help me with one of my checked bag to get it. My flight was from Mumbai to Doha and then Doha to Philadelphia.

It was pretty good overall. I just wish the crew didn't have to interrupt you every five seconds to ask you if you wanted anything, I mean that's what the help button is for. When someone is tired and sleepy and still getting their bearings, turning on DND button is maybe not the first thing on their mind.

The boarding process was unpleasant. We had hardly any checked baggage, but they insisted on weighing the cabin baggage. While the weight of our cabin bag was well within limit, it seemed petty! The food was pretty disgusting. I had such awful food on the way over, that I brought some snacks of my own for the flight back. Glad I did. Qatar was consistent in that food was just as terrible on the way back as it was on the way over. The flight attendants were super-nice, though. If I had an option I would not take Qatar Airways again.

Horrible customer service , employees are rude , angry and can’t speak any language other than Turkish well,

Inflight wi-fi is below par and difficult to access.

It was fine. We will fly Turkish again for sure.

Very disorganised check-in and boarding. We won't fly with them again

This aircraft is not up to standard - old Airbus with terrible chairs and entertainment system for business class!

Horrible. Boarding was terrible. For a huge airplane, we needed to be transported to the plane. The boarding area was overcrowded and frantic. .The seats were so uncomfortable. The food was fine.

Don’t use them on the IST-isb route, horrible service

3 of us were in the business class. All good except the Flight out of Mumbai is too early. It is at 6:30 am. Reporting is at 4 am. We had to get up at 3 am. US connection has 4-5 hours of layover. It would be nicer to start the India flight late (give more time to sleep at home) and have less layover duration in IST.

In general terms the service was excellent. I would ask that they add more content in Spanish to the catalog of movies, series and music.

Turkish airline always good Only Turkish representatives at the gave need to be more helpfull to any staff who traveling on Turkish airline . One situation happened Ist to jfk on Feb 29 TK3 had seats I asked them to transfer me to tk3 because Feb 29 tk1 was oversold and they advise me that I might not make it for tk1 I asked them to transfer me to tk3 and they say no they can’t do it I been telling them you know that I don’t have a chance for tk 1 why would you let plane go with some empty seats on tk3 if you can transfer me to tk3 and have less staff on tk1 and still told me no I waited for tk1 9 hours and only last minute I got seat on tk1 It was not easy situation but I am glad I made it home Thank you Turkish Airline One more suggestion for Turkish Airline you need to make a FIRST CLASS cabin it would be so cool 🆒 Good luck all the best See you more

Seat selection screen while online check-in could include free seats to choose from and show the options before we proceed. Currently, it is auto-allocated and there are no options for free seat selections.

Liked leg room Disliked unable to book to sit with my family on same flight without paying extra

The business class experience is fantastic. The crew were polite but often unavailable even when I tried to call them! I even found myself bringing my used dishes and cutlery up to the crew because no one had come to collect it after over an hour.

It has been a couple of years since I flew with Etihad last, after having a unpleasant experience with them coming out of the pandemic. I can say that the experience has uplifted, but I can’t really rate the service. At Barcelona airport the service was great, with their dedicated Etihad staff very helpful. The onboard experience wasn’t great, not very personalised and it really makes sense why Etihad doesn’t feature in the top 10 2023 Skytrax awards. The crew just seemed to be inattentive and almost absent from the cabin. I felt that I had to keep getting their attention. Even after I’d finished my meal, an hour went by before I had to call them to clear the tray/plate etc.

Crew were very polite and quicker in service. Excellent cooling, comfortable seats and tasty food served

My wife and I were upgraded to Business Class on our Dublin-Abu-Dhabi flight on the 22nd of January. Being served by "Mariyan" (not too sure about her name, she's from Tunisia) was the real highlight of our flight, she deserves to be working with etihad. We are looking forward to the next upgrade as we are flying back to Dublin on February 01, 2024. If I am not mistaken we have just reached GOLD status as Etihad Guests.

One thing is very important is you people not giving seat arrangement together to couple, senior citizen. You have to take care of senior citizen. Do not look about money. Money is not important everywhere. Make relationship strong is very very important. I like Etiyad air line out of all air line. Food was hot and delicious. Air hostess gave very good service, nice attitude, very good behaviour. I gave 10 out of 10 marks. Thanks Jivraj

Very unfriendly team. It was very difficult to get a cup of coffee. Legroom was extremely small. Old, dilapidated plane.

Crew was good, boarding mediocre, food choices were limited, seating was not comfortable

Crew did not cooperate… I just asked water twice for one crew member and she didn’t get anything.. and when I asked other crew member he gave me water and he was not respectful.. I kept Hindu non veg meal chicken .. when I get my turn chicken was not provided and then they gave me veg paneer and green peas curry which I don’t like..

The perfect jet stream back saved over 1 hour in the air.

Luggage handling an response received on lost Luggage, was pathetic

Baggage handling was very poor, I didn't get my luggage for 4 day's on way back. Neither a responsible person to answer my call. Kindly see my call log on lost luggage reference no BOMBA41916. all details are recorded. Difficult to convince me to fly once again. Sorry for harsh words.

5hour delay with a 3hour wait on board at the gate

All fairly good as usual. Tried business class for the first time and enjoyed the inclusive champagne and good food. No entertainment as a less than 4 hour flight.

Flight crew were pleasant. I was switched out of the seat that I paid for and got placed to the back of the plane without being told. British airways should at least refund me the seat purchase for that flight.

The flight was excellent with very attentive and friendly staff. Food was delicious and amenities were nice. Only trouble was the 1 hour and 20 mins I had to wait for luggage. Guess there was an electrical problem at the gate.

Flights were actually with Aer Lingus outward and American Airlines & Aer Lingus on the return journey. Outward flight with Aer Lingus was good but the return flight with them was not so good as our seats were in a poor condition (15A & 15C) and looked like they needed replacing! The American Airlines flight from Miami to JFK New York was good and the seats were very comfortable and spacious (32D & 32E)

One of the flight was cancelled. My experience was poor.

Lost bag on an hour and a half flight with no connections - ridiculous!

The essential guide to visiting Dublin

Here’s what you need to know about Ireland’s capital—when to go, what to do, and how to get around.

Trinity College campus buildings in city center with tourists.

Why you should visit Dublin

Nearly thousand-year-old Christ Church Cathedral . Trinity College Dublin’s Instagram-favorite Old Library , home to the Book of Kells. Bronze Age gold at the National Museum . Stories of emigration on the Jeanie Johnston ship. Snugs, pints of Guinness, and live music in old pubs .

The Old Library at Trinity College Dublin, books have temporarily been removed.

Best time to visit Dublin

Spring:   Daffodils fill parks like St. Stephen’s Green and Merrion Square. The city comes alive for three days of celebrations during March’s St. Patrick’s Festival . The International Literature Festival Dublin takes place in May.

Summer: The Bloomsday Festival on June 16 sees readings around the city to celebrate James Joyce’s Ulysses. Outside the city, it’s a good time to explore the Dublin Coastal Trail —stroll beaches and piers or take a boat tour from Howth or Dun Laoghaire to see islands and wildlife.

Autumn:   Catch emerging performance art at September’s Dublin Fringe Festival , which precedes October’s Dublin Theatre Festival . The Bram Stoker Festival (the Dracula author was born in Dublin in 1847) has events like outdoor circus performances at night, choirs in dark libraries, and banquets in cathedral crypts.

Winter:   Grab a book from Hodges Figgis or Books Upstairs and sip a hot whiskey beside the fire in a historic pub like The Duke , or have a Guinness in Mulligan’s . See a candlelight musical performance at St Patrick’s Cathedral , which dates to 1200. The year ends with outdoor concerts and light shows at the Dublin New Year Festival .

Lay of the land

The pedestrianized streets around Grafton Street are a hub for shopping and dining. Tuck into an Irish cheese toastie at Loose Canon wine bar on Drury Street, or watch the world go by from the outdoor seats at L’Gueleton before hitting George’s Street Arcade for everything from vintage to vinyl.

In the Georgian Quarter , stop for city stories at the Little Museum of Dublin before heading to MoLI , a museum of literature; the RHA for art; or the “dead zoo” at the Natural History museum (part of the National Museum of Ireland) for an 1850s zoological collection.

The Liberties is one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, dating back to the 12th century. The Guinness Storehouse draws the crowds, but you can learn how Dublin was a powerhouse of world whiskey distilling on a tour of the Dublin Liberties Distillery . Drop in to Marsh’s Library , which first opened in 1707. “The Liberties is just 10 minutes from the center but it’s steeped in character and personality,” says Keelan Higgs, chef and owner of Michelin-starred Variety Jones .

The cobbled streets of Temple Bar are a nightlife hub for tourists. Visit by day to browse for retro finds at Dublin Vintage Factory or Lucy’s Lounge . Get a smoked salmon sandwich at Joy of Cha or coffee and flaky croissant at Il Valentino . Sign up for a tasting at the Whiskey Reserve and then see an arthouse film at the Irish Film Institute .

Getting around Dublin

By bus:   Dublin Bus operates most of Dublin’s routes with additional service by Go Ahead Ireland . Use the TFI Live app for journey planning. Pay with exact change or a pre-paid Leap Card on buses, Dart, and Luas (fares are €2 for any bus, Luas, or DART trip within 90 minutes).

By tram:   The Luas crosses the city—the Green Line runs north-south between Broombridge and Bride’s Glen, and the Red Line runs east-west from The Point to Tallaght and Saggart.

Cycling: There are some cycle lanes but traffic can be a challenge. Get a three-day pass for Dublin Bikes —the first 30 minutes of every journey is free.

By car:   Plan ahead to navigate the one-way system. There’s on-street parking (pay at a pay-and-display machine or via Parking Tag ) or find a car park with Parkopedia . Taxis are fully licensed (ride shares are not legal)—order via apps like FreeNow or Lynk .

By train:   The Dart light rail runs north-south between Howth and Malahide, via the city center, to Bray and Greystones in County Wicklow. Additional rail lines service western suburbs, and Irish Rail intercity trains connect Dublin to main Irish cities from Heuston, Pearse, and Connolly stations.

A stag stands in front of a herd of deer under a beautiful summer sunset in Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland, on a grassy plain with clumps of trees in the distance

Know before you go

Languages:   English and Irish are the official languages, however English is the dominant language in Dublin.

Wildlife awareness:   Don’t feed the deer in the Phoenix Park—it can cause disease and lead to competition and injury within the herd. The same goes for gulls—human food is bad for them.

LGBTQ+:   Dublin has a lively LGBTQ+ scene and same-sex marriage has been legal since 2015. The Dublin Pride festival is every June and there is an International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival in May and Gaze LGBTQIA Film Festival in July/August. For nightlife, try Pantibar on 7-8 Capel Street and The George on 89 South Great George’s Street.

How to visit Dublin sustainably

The best way to get around the city is to walk. Join a walking tour to get your bearings. Take a picnic and rent a bike for the day in the Phoenix Park or stroll beaches outside the city like Portmarnock or Skerries .

Buy Irish-made gifts like ceramics, knits, art, and jewelry from shops like the Irish Design Shop or Kilkenny . St. Anne’s Park Market in Clontarf on Saturdays and Dún Laoghaire Market on Sundays sell organic produce. The city’s many vegetarian and vegan restaurants include Flipburger and Glas .

Waste is separated into recyclable material (clean paper, cardboard, plastic, glass bottles and jars, and aluminum cans), and there is a refundable deposit for plastic bottles and drinks cans.

What to read and watch

Prophet Song , by Paul Lynch, is a dark fictional tale about Dublin’s descent into dystopia that won the Booker Prize in 2023.

The Bee Sting , by Paul Murray, is partly and significantly set at Trinity College, as it weaves the hilarious and heartbreaking stories of various members of the fictional Barnes family.

A blend of comedy and thriller, Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters shows off Dublin’s coast and swimming spots. Some of Normal People , streaming on Hulu, was filmed at Trinity College.

Sing Street is a coming-of-age film about a Dublin boy and a band. Once , from the same director, John Carney, tells the story of a Dublin busker and an immigrant.

Being a QR Platinum member traveling in business class, I expected the staff to be more courteous. Unfortunately, the lady staff was rude attending business class 1K side.

Overall experience was OK. Seats were truly uncomfortable for such a long flight. Food quality was mediocre at best. The staff was great though!

Being a platinum member, no attention given. No towel or tissue provided.

Food was good, attendants were friendly. Seats were not comfortable. Did not receive any amenities such as eyemask or earplugs that would have helped sleep. Additionally a large group of passengers boarded very late into boarding and were a disruption for almost the whole flight. Flight attendants did their best but the kids were making so much noise, kicking seats, and half the time no adult was sat with them so they weren’t being managed.

Don't be afraid if you board an Oman Air Airbus A330 - it will take you to Colombo and not Muskat. The Aircraft is leased by Qatar Airways ;-)

Operated by American Airlines. Very chaotic and the crew was bit rough responding any enquiries. Restricted leg space.. Qatar would have been better

No towels or tissue and chocolate and mint provided before arrival

This is my first and last flight with Qatar because when we go for boarding pass in Delhi airport the team asked for money charging me for hand baggage which is technically including with my ticket so also we get one our temple pics I ask them to checking in but they tell me I have to pay $500 dollars for that additional which is not make sense than I diseased to throw away because I can’t take with us . For carry in beg also I pay some Indian n currency for the guy who help I already pay 6 passengers ticket cost me $8000 so really I’m not happy . PLUS MY 6 checked baggage was damaged I already claim for four beg at airport but now I’m worried about my stuff inside maybe broken too which is more expensive stuff me really bad experience

They shld provide food. Between food they are giving 10 hours gap which is toooo much

The staff at the check in lied. I requested aisle seats he said he gave me aisle seats. In actuality he only gave me aisle seat for 2 hour Karachi to Doha flight. From Doha to Dallas flight he gave me middle seat .

My originating flight by Turkish Airlines was late, so I missed my connecting flight to Dallas I was supposed to pick up a rental car on my arrival and because it was a no show case for this car rental company they cancelled my bookings and charged 368 USD. So because of Turkish Airlines I lost 368 US dollars. Will never fly again with this company.

I took a nine-hour flight in economy class, and the seats were quite comfortable. I even managed to take a long nap, which rarely happens. There was a good selection of movies, and the complimentary kit included socks, ear plugs, a sleep mask, lip balm, and a toothbrush with toothpaste.

I ended up paying $170 Euros for luggage for a 4 hour flight. Ridiculous. On top of the delay.

Overnight flight in the old style Business class, but still very good.

Only chicken as a meat dish through out the flight

It was a nightmare. I booked business class ticket from Ediburgh to Beirut via Istanbul to attend a funeral. I had a wonderful experience flying to Istanbul from Edinburgh. Then I could not get a boarding pass issued to Beirut. It seems that although they booked me and I had a reservation number, I had no seat allocated and the flight was full. I was asked to go from one desk to another and made to wait for 2 hours. I missed my flight as I did not have a seat assigned and it was full. The only option was to put me on the next flight, 6 hours later, for a fee of over $400. They said that was the best they can do to 'help me' and to 'take it or leave it'. Well, I was not about to be bullied; I stood my ground. I booked and paid premium for the journey, which was confirmed. The eventually accepted to not charge me extra and i waited a total of over 8 hours in the airport with no compensation. On top of my grief with the risk of missing the funeral service, I had to put up with their indifference and condescending attitude. They spoke about me in Turkish thinking I would not understand (I hold a British passport) in front of me. When they eventually handed my passport and boarding pass back to me, I showed them I was born in Istanbul and that I understood everything and said a condescending 'thank you' back to them in Turkish. You should have seen their faces. I said that consumers have rights and it is a shame that Turkish Airlines does not have good customer service to at least acknowledge and apologize for errors committed by the airline. Blaming the me, the client, for such an error and placing unreasonable ultimatums, rudeness and dismissiveness to be rid of me, particularly when I was vulnerable and visibly grieving was really shocking... The airline taints the city of Istanbul and the people of Türkiye. Such a shame.

for the very long way the flight has to be more confortable it was very dirty the wc was not clean

Great ground-check in crew. Pleasant flight attendant crew. Very short flight

Paying for reserved seats and never received the seats I paid for !! Just fake and a surprise out of their " box "

Service was superb and the flight experience overall was great

Online was good boarding also but a child was crying all the way with no intervention from crew member.

1st time with. Etihad Airways and it was amazing from check in to crew. Great flight.

Crew were very polite and quicker in service. Excellent cooling, comfortable seats and tasty food served

In my opinion, Etihad Airways is a first rate airline except for one important element. On the day before my return flights, when I chose my seats on the Etihad website I was charged an additional $55 (US) in order to sit on the aisle. I was not at all happy about this additional "hidden" charge and I felt cheated.

I WOULD ADVISE NOT TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHT ON KAYAK. THEY SHOW BETTER FARES AND AFTER I BOOKED MINE, I FIND OUT THAT IT DID NOT INCLUDE LUGGAGE. i HAD TO PAY $800 TO CHECK IN MY BAGS.

Entertainment did not work from flight from Abu Dhabi to Kolkata. Emirates has a much better flight in that sector.

1.Aircraft Comfort: The aircraft type was quite small with non-reclining, cramped seats that significantly lacked comfort. 2.In-flight Entertainment: There was no provision of in-flight entertainment screens or Wi-Fi for the majority of the flight. 3.Boarding Process at New Abu Dhabi Airport: Despite the move to a new airport, which promised enhanced experiences, the use of buses instead of jet bridges did not meet expectations, causing inconvenience. 4.Gate Change Communication: A last-minute gate change was poorly communicated, resulting in a long and difficult walk.

Very unfriendly team. It was very difficult to get a cup of coffee. Legroom was extremely small. Old, dilapidated plane.

Ripped off and broken seats in Business class. Seats stink and need to request the staff for additional bedsheets. Crew if very friendly though

Dublin travel highlights

Museums aplenty and culture all around; a stunning coastline and wild mountains; and the home of George Bernard Shaw – Dublin has it all.

If you want to soak up some local history on your trip to Dublin, there is plenty to entertain visitors of all ages. The Geological Museum will tell you all you need to know about the natural history of the region, from prehistoric fossils to modern mineral collections, while the Zoological Museum offers an intriguing and interactive perspective on the landscape. Ireland has many famous sons: George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett, James Joyce. Wilde and Shaw were born in Dublin, and Shaw Birthplace, at 33 Synge Street, Saint Kevin's, is a tourist attraction and museum, dedicated to his wit and works. If you would prefer some history with a musical twist, then pay a visit to the Piper’s Parlour, where you can hear the story behind Ireland’s national instrument – the Uilleann pipes. And if the kids get restless, try taking a trip to Dublin Zoo or the National Sea Life Bray, which is in Bray, around 45 minutes’ drive from Dublin.

Dublin’s Abbey Theatre, founded in 1904, still puts on some of the best shows in the country. It stages its share of classics, but also supports budding writers. The National Gallery houses European and Irish fine art in a distinguished setting, while Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane focuses on contemporary art. More commonly known as The Hugh Lane Gallery it includes a reconstruction of the studio of 20th-century figurative painter Francis Bacon. Ireland is world-renowned for its natural beauty and Dublin is within easy reach of some stunning scenery. About 75 minutes’ drive from the city is Wicklow Mountains National Park. Here, you can ramble over moss-strewn hills, laced with burbling streams, hidden lakes and forests.

The Irish culture embraces hearty meals, with plenty of meat and potatoes. You will find plenty of excellent places to eat, including the usual fast-food outlets. But take the time to discover some of the more exclusive restaurants, where you will be treated to outstanding cuisine, created from local produce, fresh vegetables and the world-famous Dublin Bay prawns. For a true taste of the Emerald Isle, sample Irish Stew, an autumnal mix of meat (lamb or beef), potatoes and vegetables. “Champ” is mashed potatoes embedded with spring onions, butter and black pepper, and is often served with meat dishes. Closer to the coast, you will find plenty of restaurants serving fresh seafood, including another Dublin speciality – oysters.

If you are travelling to Dublin, you ought to set some time aside to explore the myriad shops and markets within its city limits. The city’s most famous shopping area is in Grafton Street, where you will find high-end businesses housed in magnificent white-stone buildings. You will also find plenty of impromptu entertainment, as Grafton Street is something of a playground for street entertainers and a platform for musicians

ISLAMABAD: The Iraqi ambassador to Pakistan, Hamid Abbas Lafta on Sunday met with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of Overseas Pakistani’s Chaudhry Salik Hussain and discussed ways to improve the travel experience for Pakistani pilgrims visiting Iraq.

The meeting was focused on making it easier and more affordable for Pakistani Muslims to travel to Iraq for religious pilgrimages.

The discussion highlighted the possibility of free entry visas for Pakistani pilgrims and increasing the number of people allowed to visit each year.

The Iraqi ambassador assured full cooperation in making travel easier for Pakistani pilgrims and provided a list of travel agents who had been overcharging visitors. Minister Naqvi in response assured to take action against these agents within a week.

The two sides also agreed to quickly finalize a visa waiver agreement for diplomats and officials from both countries.

Additionally, Pakistan and Iraq are working on a deal that will make it easier for Pakistani workers to obtain work permits in Iraq.

The Iraqi ambassador also congratulated Minister Naqvi on his new position and invited him to visit Iraq.
