Honey works best on their website!

I find honey works great if you use it on a desktop computer with their website. I haven’t used it on the app, but on the website - I used Honey for the first time, to order Pizza Pizza, and it worked great! Saved me $3.75! Kinda fun!

I just downloaded the app, having heard such great things. Then I scrolled down, and learned that in order to give me relevant coupon codes, the Honey app collects the following information: Purchases, Contact info, Search history, Diagnostics on your device, Location, User Content, Browsing History, Usage data, Identifiers that track you across other apps and websites owned by other companies, and "other data". And then I deleted the app without opening it. No amount of savings is worth giving up all that information, and the owners & devs of this app should be ashamed of themselves.

Safari Extension U.S. Only?

Looks like I spoke too soon AGAIN. Yes, they got the Safari Extension out after all; but, it only works in the U.S. for now. Problem with that is, although the extension is “not working” (as I live in Canada), I’d ended up tracing a severe degradation in Safari’s performance to back to that “non-working” extension being enabled. That’s strange… That’s suspicious… Here’s the thing: I don’t care if you mine my data, so long as there’s a fair exchange. You don’t get my data on the promise of upcoming functionality that, for all intents and purposes, should really be available (at least in Canada) by now.

Cannot remove PayPal honey extension

I have read the thread about how to delete this extension however, I am not having any luck. I never installed this in the first place, which is very annoying. I am able to disable it, but I am not seeing it listed in any place along with apps that would allow me to delete it, I’m attempting to do this on a iPad mini six with the most updated software today. Any suggestions?

Go to settings. Search safari. Scroll to General. Click extensions. Turn PayPal off. Honey is part of the PayPal App. You need to delete the app to remove it I believe. Hope this works!

In its Step 3 , toggle that switch "off".

You also need to delete the PayPal app if you have it installed.

Then, delete the Honey app according to Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support .

" How to delete an app

• Touch and hold the app.

• Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm.

Keep in mind that some built-in Apple apps can't be deleted from your device, so you might not see the option to delete an app. Here’s a list of built-in  Apple apps you can delete from your device . If you can't delete an app that's not made by Apple,  disable parental controls , then try deleting the app again.

If you touch and hold an app from the Home Screen and the apps start to jiggle:

On Safari, we’re on the left of the toolbar. See those numbers in red? That’s how many coupon codes we’ve found for that particular site.

This window will also pop up automatically if we find coupons for that site. Just click Apply Coupons and we’ll test the available codes we found. If we find a working code for your order, we’ll apply the one with the biggest savings to your cart.

If we don't find any codes that beat the price you already have, we’ll let you know that, too. So you can check out with confidence knowing that we searched for you.

When a member makes a purchase from merchants partnering with the company, Honey shares part of their commission with the member in a cashback program. In addition, users are notified of price drops and price history on selected items sold by participating online stores

The Honey extension can work with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Edge. The Honey app is only available on mobile devices (iOS and Android).

To use Honey on your computer, you’ll need to install the Honey browser extension. To use Honey on your mobile device, you need to install the Honey app.

How to Install Honey

How to install the Honey extension for Chrome:

• Open Google Chrome and go to the Honey Chrome extension page .
• Click the Add to Chrome button and then click Add extension to confirm.

How to install the Honey Firefox extension:

• Open Firefox and go to the Honey Firefox extension page .
• Click the Add to Firefox button and click the Add button to confirm.

How to install the Honey Safari extension:

Tip: You need to ensure that your system is up to date or running with macOS 10.14.4. In addition, the Honey Safari extension will be downloaded from the App Store.

• Open Safari and go to the Honey Safari extension page .
• Click the Get and then the Install button.
• Press the Open Safari Preferences button.
• Check the box next to the Honey icon. Now Honey is successfully installed!

How to install Honey for Opera:

Opera supports Google Chrome extensions, so you just need to install the Honey Chrome extension to Opera.

• Open Opera and go to the Honey Chrome extension page.
• Click on Add to Opera and click Install to confirm.

How to install the Honey browser extension to Edge:

• Open Microsoft Edge and go to the Honey Edge extension page .
• Click on Install .
• Once installation is complete, click on Launch and then Turn it on .

How to Use Honey

Once the Honey download and installation are completed, it will ask you to log in to Honey with Google, Facebook, PayPal, Apple, or Email. Then, you can start to use Honey.
