Lake St. Clair Metropark

This 1,000 foot-long sandy beach is the best known and most used of all the beaches on Lake St. Clair. On any given day you will find families, couples and friends enjoying this summer haven. Yoga enthusiasts can enjoy beach front sessions twice weekly beginning June 8th – Saturdays and Tuesday at 8am. Advanced registration is required, contact Tom King the instructor at 586-709-0618. In addition to the beach this 770 acre park has dozens of other recreation offerings available.  More

 New Baltimore

The beach at Walter and Mary Burke Park in Downtown New Baltimore is a great place for the kids to frolic in the sand or to get some sun while enjoying stunning views of Anchor Bay. While the swimming beach is relatively small the adjacent park provides all the amenities perfect for a summer bbq, family gathering or ideal setting to enjoy a good book. Visitors will find picnic facilites, playscapes, fishing pier, volleyball and tether ball and boardwalk.  Official park hours are 10am to 8pm. Lifeguards are on duty. For pavilion rental groups of 10 or more a permit is required. Please call the recreation center for more information at 586-725-0291 . No pets are allowed at this park.  More

Belle Isle is home to a half-mile long swimming beach that provides a great escape on hot summer days. Located on the west side of the island this beach provides a safe swimming area away from the currents of the Detroit River. The beach is well manicured with clear water and sandy bottom. Nice shade trees and grass the border the beach and provide a nice have from the sun or an ideal spot for a picnic. The beach can get crowded weekends so come early to get a good spot.  The beach also has an adjacent pool and water slides that open in June. Tickets to the pool an water slide are $3. Just a note: no dogs allowed directly on the beach, lifeguards are on duty from the second week in June through labor day.  More

Sandpoint Beach is without a doubt, Windsor’s most popular and family friendly, beach destination. It is located in the City’s far East side on Riverside Dr. East and Florence Ave. The Beach lies at the South West mouth of Lake St. Clair, and the best part of it all… it is totally FREE to those who wish to spend time there!  “The Beach” is officially opened around the Victoria Day Weekend in the month of May, thru the Labour Day Weekend in the month of September. This time frame also sees the Beach as being attended by Life-Guards between the hours of 1:00PM and 7:00PM daily.  More

Campus Tours are back and we want to welcome you to visit one of our three campuses before you get started.

Join us for an in-person tour of the Windsor, Downtown or Chatham campuses. During the tour, you’ll get a chance to see our spaces, learn about our services, explore our residences and more. We will also share helpful information about the College during your tour to get you ready for your new school year.

St. Clair College is home to numerous state-of-the-art facilities and learning environments. We offer over 120+ programs in key areas of Health Sciences, Business & Information Technology, Engineering Technologies Skilled Trades, and Media, Art & Design with 16,000+ students.

Residences are available at our Windsor and Chatham campuses, providing a great "home away from home" for students.

All Guests Must Register in Advance

All guests must register in advance for their tour, and each timeslot will allow a maximum of 10 visitors. Walk-ins will not be permitted.

After Booking Your Tour

You will receive an email confirmation before your tour with details, parking information and your next steps before visiting campus for your tour.

• Windsor Main Campus: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:00 am, First Saturday of each month at 11:00 am
• Downtown Campus: Tuesdays, 11:00 am, Second Saturday of each month at 11:00 am
• Chatham Campus: Thursdays, 11:00 am, Third Saturday of each month at 11:00 am

Our Facilities

Main Windsor Campus

St. Clair College's main campus is home to over 6,000 students studying in over 120 programs in the areas of Health Sciences, Community Studies, Engineering Technologies, Skilled Trades, Business and Information Technology. The Main Windsor campus also has a 204 – 2 bedroom suite residence on-site for students.

Downtown Campus

Our downtown Windsor campus sits on the banks of the Detroit River and offers an outstanding view of the Detroit skyline.

There are over 800 students who study in our School of Media, Art & Design. The Downtown campus also features the 1,200-seat Chrysler Theatre, the MediaPlex, and Zekelman School of Business at One Riverside Drive.

Chatham Campus

Chatham Campus is located in Chatham, Ontario and is just a short 45-minute drive from Windsor. This small, intimate campus with 1,300 students, specializes in health sciences, community studies, business and technology programs. The Chatham Campus has an on-campus townhouse-style residence which houses 48 students.

Garden Tours

2023 garden walk, "st. clair in bloom", looking back . . . ..

This past summer, 2019, we had our first Garden Walk, A Tour of Special Gardens . When the idea was first presented to our members, we asked them to keep in mind all the planting, fertilizing, and watering and extra cost that would be required to create a visually pleasing garden. Due to all of the tasks required by numerous committees it took nine months of planning and commitment. What fun it was to share our beautiful outdoor spaces with others!

As members became excited about this event they began to think about activities and how they could best participate. We looked at a website* (see below), which became our guiding light for this very successful fundraiser.

Another significant aspect of this successful fundraiser was coordinating a Raffle with five very desirable prizes. Offered as prizes were a wheelbarrow with a wide array of gardening tools, supplies books and oh yes we did not forget the selection of wines; a gourmet dinner for 6 by a well-known chef; an original painting by a local artist, this painting was featured on the front cover of the ticket/booklet; a basket full of surprises from a popular store named Weekends; and tickets for 12 to tour the Detroit Parade Company floats.

Projects which include all members in a Club are so beneficial to friendship building while at the same time we work toward a common goal. A major club project brings awareness to the community to recognize the Garden Club’s involvement in beautifying their city.

The gardens varied in size and interest: a farm; a country garden; an historical home along the beautiful St. Clair River; and five homes located in a variety of neighborhoods.

The success of our 2019 Tour was due to the participating members of the St. Clair Garden Club, and the very dedicated Steering Committee members, who are:
