P A T H E T I C after sale service! Even after paying the 4th instalment my membership isn't activated. Member Relations Execs are well trained to pass on inaccurate and misleading information. There would be radio silence when you chase them for updates post the due dates. Absolutely lacklustre display of accountability and responsibility. Would L O V E to sign out of the agreement but signed on a dotted line which wouldn't allow us to do so....

Totally fraud company their sales man…

Totally fraud company their sales man are misguiding you forcing you to buy the plan . I have already gone through this and have 53000/- fraud happen to me There services are totally fraud. I don't know in India why government are approving these type of organisation. In my case first they called me to give a lunch and a trip and after the whole day spent they are forcing me to buy this even there sales Mr Saji Bhaskar totally misguiding me. If I am not able to pay the they called one of the history known person and forces us to buy the plan. I have with my child and wife in Goa that's why I have to spent this money. I have requested them so many time to refund my amount but they are clearly saying no even I have given them a option to give me in any mode either a holiday voucher of their hotels but they clearly say no. I don't know how many persons face the same.

Avoid at all costs

Don't be fooled by this company. They use the same tactics that were used 30+ years ago to pressure sell time-share holidays. You will be approached in Hoi An by a man and a woman on a scooter, who will offer you instant-win cards. One of you will win a hat, or similar, and the other (shock, horror) will win one of their three top prizes (an iPhone 15, a week's free holiday at one of their resorts, or 6 million dong...I'll let you guess what you will 'win'). All you have to do is jump in a taxi with them to their sales office for a '60 minute' presentation, after which, only then you will be allowed to scratch off the card to reveal your 'fabulous' prize. Our '60 minute' session turned into a three hour marathon, followed by a 30 minute, full-on pressure sale to get us to sign on the dotted line there and then, to qualify for large one-off discounts. To be fair, the man who we spent most of our first 180 minutes with, was a guy called Chris, who wasn't too pushy, but managed to obtain a pretty accurate 'profile' of us through a large number of highly targeted questions. However, we spent the final 30 minutes with the deal-closer, a guy called Jeff, who was particularly condescending, patronising, dismissive and passive-aggresive, who used bordering on bullying tactics to get our signature. My partner and I told him and Chris at the very outset, that this felt like timeshare tactics and that we had no intention of signing anything there and then. However, Jeff felt otherwise, and kept pushing more and more discounts and free stuff at us, telling us that there was no need to go away and think about the offer as it was a no-brainer. Our initial £30,000+ investment was eventually whittled down to around £8,000 up front with a service fee of about £500 p.a. When we told Jeff that we still needed to think about the offer, and come back to them later, he became nothing short of petulant, and stormed off. How ridiculous! So we were expected to part with £8,000 effectively there and then, with absolutely no due diligence and just rely on their word that this was a good deal? It turns out, reviewing other people's experiences on both TrustPilot and TripAdvisor, that further due diligence was absolutely essential. My only advice is to avoid this company at all costs.

Karma Lake of Menteith

We are regular visitors to The Karma Lake of Menteith and we love it. They always make us feel so welcome along with our dog Charlie. The staff are brilliant and the food amazing. The location is great for going off walking or doing some sightseeing. We can't wait to come back again.

If you are thinking of booking this hotel, stop thinking about it and just book it. You won’t regret it!!

We stayed at karma la herriza for 4 nights and we can’t wait to come back. We planned to extend our stay as we enjoyed it so much but unfortunately my work couldn’t accommodate. The staff were fantastic, in particular Diego, Samuel and Luis. So friendly and helpful. The pool was absolutely stunning, the grounds were beautiful. But stand out was the food!!! The best hotel food I have ever had. By far. Not a single bad or average meal. Themed nights every day of the week. Entertainment. Happy hour. The grounds both indoor and outdoors are immaculate. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. One thing we would do differently next time and I would recommend to others staying for the first time is planning an itinerary beforehand if you want to leave the hotel. Gaucin is the nearest town 15 min drive but about a 2 hour walk through the mountains. It’s €50 there and back in a taxi. Which is fine but we tried to arrange taxi a few hours before our reservation and found that the taxi driver karma use wasn’t working that day. And the restaurants in gaucin their opening times and days are small and not every day. So keep that in mind. It has a very luxurious and exclusive feel to it. Our apartment/villa was beautiful! The bed and sofa was so comfortable, smart tv and the WiFi is very strong in all areas. If you are thinking of booking this hotel, stop thinking about it and just book it. You won’t regret it!!

We sat through a 3 hour presentation…

We sat through a 3 hour presentation promised to be 1 hour. They wanted to sell us 4 and 5 star holiday (accomodation only) for $32,000 aud. We declined, When we got home to redeem our holiday give away - a quick google search of the hotels brought up anything but 4 or 5 Star accomodation. Feel grateful for not signing a contract based on lies and false illusion to anything that they promise. There are other amazing travel companies and groups who deliver exactly as promised. Eg- luxury escapes.

SCAM. AVOID. They’ll waste your time on holiday with a sales pitch and you’ll “win” a free holiday which you can’t book as they never have any availability. Everyone wins the same prize but no one can use it. Their aggressive sales tactics are a way to back you into a corner so you feel obligated to purchase. Don’t sign up to them. And if you have done and are regretting it now, cut your losses and cancel your membership and block remaining payments - you’re highly unlikely to ever get availability at the hotel you want as they’re over subscribed. Bad business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Do they believe their own hype?

"Our selling strategy is one of the most unique forms of marketing" Oh pleease! Listen to yourselves! We wasted an hour of our valuable time in Hoi An - being sweet talked by the double glazing salesman on a moped. Stupidly we went to the office with the scratch card, cut a long story short we fortunately just wasted an hour. If you bothered to qualify your leads you'd have found out that these just aren't our types of holidays. If we'd have visited the property it would have taken all afternoon. We got a restaurant voucher but didn't use it as we wanted to forget the experience.

Stay away from this company !!!

Stay away from this company as it uses unscrupulous business practices !!!! While holidaying in Bali back in January, I was provided with a scratch card by a Karma sales agent on the road which turned out to yield a 7-days luxury holiday voucher. After attending a 2-hours presentation at their office, I was told that the booking invitation link was sent to my email. However, after numerous follow-ups, and Whatsup message exchanges Karma Club hasn't been willing to make the booking which goes to show that their promotion is a complete scam!!!

This company is not a scam

This company is not a scam, the owner won philanthropist of the year globally on many occasions due to his work with children in Bali and India. This company couldn't be more genuine. We have just signed up for a three year membership which works out to be $142 AUD per night for wonderful hotels in beautiful destinations for completely relaxing retreats. I would be spending that much anyway for less quality accommodation and I am very happy to support a company that does so much for disadvantaged communities. All the staff are required to teach disadvantaged children english for 2 hours on their weekend. We have just spent a glorious week in a Tuscan Palazzo in the middle of Tuscany. It's also working out cheaper than our level 3 genius on Booking.com

Fantastic holiday at this top resort!

Our experience at Karma Kandara was truly wonderful! The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, always offering friendly assistance whenever we needed it. We absolutely adored the dining experience at Restaurant di Mare—the food was simply exquisite and the team went out of their way to make it a special evening for us. Spending time on the beach was a highlight of our stay. The beach is simply breathtaking with white sand and turquoise blue waters, and the beach club team headed by Ed looked after us incredibly well. The spa has one of the the best views in the world and is an absolute treat. Leaving Karma Kandara was bittersweet; we departed feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the memories made during our stay, but we really didn’t want to leave and are already planning our return trip to Bali!

Bad sales practices - avoid

Like other reviewers, we were approached while on holiday with the promise of a "prize" of free accommodation in return for taking part in "an hour presentation". We knew of people who had actually got a decent stay out of this type of thing even if they don't buy, so we thought it was worth a listen. The presentation turned into over 2 hours of them carefully avoiding the cost. When they finally revealed the cost we said no - but the promised voucher has never arrived. Any attempts to raise it with their call centre simply generates a one-line response asking for irrelevant information - we're not even sure we're talking to a human. If approached by these people while on holiday - avoid!

We stayed at Karma Kandara in Bali for…

We stayed at Karma Kandara in Bali for a couple of nights and it was truly an amazing experience. We were met solely with kindness and professionalism whenever we came across someone on the team. We experienced both their spa, which was an amazing private area with an ice bath, sauna and jacuzzi after an hour-long amazing massage and their paella night, where we saw the chefs transform the ingredients into pure artwork - not to mention it tasted amazing too. Nothing but good things to say about our stay!

I recently had the pleasure of stay for a night at Karma Kandara Bali, and it was an unforgettable experience ! From the moment I checked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They made me feel right at home and even offered a welcoming drink that was so refreshing and delicious, I still can't get over it! I stayed in a one-bedroom villa, which was perfect for two people. The pool was just the right size, and the ambiance was wonderfully comfortable. The cleanliness of the villa was outstanding, and the bathroom was lovely as well. Although I didn't have hot water for my morning shower, I appreciated that Karma Kandara is committed to environmental sustainability by not using plastic packaging for their toiletries. The room itself was spacious, with a cozy living room and complete facilities. Every corner of the villa was designed for comfort, and I loved how roomy it felt. Getting around the resort was a breeze, thanks to the efficient buggy service that was always on time to standby!!! It made exploring the beautiful grounds effortless. Dining at Di Mare was a highlight of my stay. The cuisine was excellent, and the beach view added a touch of luxury to every meal. Another unforgettable moment was the jazz night at the Temple Lounge. Watching the sunset while sipping on a cocktail (I think it was called the Temple Lady) felt absolutely magical. One of the standout experiences was the Cliff Ocean Spa. The open-air massage was truly indulgent, and I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Karma Kandara. It's a must-try experience that takes relaxation to another level. Oh iya!! I also loved the breakfast at the Temple Lounge. It wasn't just about the tasty and healthy food, it was also about the awesome vibe. Local musicians played soothing Gamelan music, giving me a true taste of Bali's culture while I enjoyed my meal. It was a fantastic way to start a day at Karma Kandara Bali! Overall, my stay at Karma Kandara Bali was filled with delightful experiences and exceptional service. Don't trust karma group

I wish I could have less than one star that gives to karma group. I got voucher for free 1 week stay. When I want to use the voucher they told me that this dates booking full for Vietnam then I told them ok I change destination and told book for another they told me not available for u r dates this happens 5-6 times I change destination n they told me not available u can go for this this dates . We can't go when they say. Then I told them I don't wanna continue u r membership I want refund whatever amount I have paid they told me no this can not happen.

We reiterate all of previous comments re Hoi An. A waste of 2 hours. Hard pressure selling for a badly maintained and uninspiring resort. There are beautiful places to stay in Hoi An for a fraction of their ‘special sign up today deals’ Beware of chatty men on motor bikes!

Don't believe the hype!

The whole thing is a sales stunt. They lure you in with promises of free meals and free holidays you supposedly 'win' . You will never see that holiday .. they just use it to make you sit through their speil. They want you to buy a membership which supposidedly buys you discounted accommodation. I have heard members can't get accommodation because the company uses the rooms to snag more clients with discounted holidays. Just another scam. In response to your response . We have already endured hours of your presentation with the promise of a free holiday which never came. Why on earth would we subject ourselves to that again?

Very difficult to book rooms in this…

Very difficult to book rooms in this Karma group of resorts, when ever you request ( not in peak season ) too they decline and offer dates according to their choice. 2 days back I had the same bad experience while booking for Karma Sunshine Village, Bangalore. I am a member since 2011 but used only a couple of times and my points get expired. Pls dont join this group.

What is the application process?

• Immediate acceptance - this is often extended to referees of existing House of Karma members who fit the profile of our open-minded, fabulous network. We would love to have you join us and will send you a payment link to complete. Upon completion, you will be accepted into the House of Karma and sent your welcome letter, wristband, and invitations to our upcoming events.
• Interview - for most of our successful new applicants, we will send you an email with a link to schedule a short interview with one of our House of Karma ‘Heads of House.’ We would love to connect and hear more about your interest in joining us! Following this interview, a decision will be made and you will be sent an email advising you of the outcome and next steps.
