Cape Greco was designated as a National Forest Park in 1993. Since then it is an oasis of tranquillity that locates midway between the busy resorts of Ayia Napa and Protaras.

This iconic place is ideal for sailing. You can visit numerous bays with crystal clear waters and enjoy swimming.

Blue Lagoon is one of the most beautiful anchorages in Cyprus. Located on the East from Ayai Napa, tucked into a little alcove on the rocky terrain of the coastline of Ayia Napa and Protaras. It's sheltered by Cape Greco and lovely crystal clear aqua blue and turquoise waters make it a popular mooring place for boat trips on one of their swim stops, which sort of disturbs the tranquillity of the area occasionally. The shelter has excellent protection, but from time to time, the Northeast winds have plenty of room and can hold constantly.

A lot of yachts, boats come here during the day. It is a popular mooring stop for swimming in crystal clear and turquoise water, diving, snorkelling and spearfishing. At night usually, this anchorage is empty. You can anchor in 9 to 11 meters over the sandy seabed. From 8 meters, the seabed rises rapidly and has a lot of rocks. It is better to avoid anchoring of hard dinghy as well as inflatable. It can be pulled on the rocks. Also, you can find here Wifi from the ice-cream truck.

In this area you can explore the multitude of nature trails with pine trees and a diverse botanical splendor whilst pausing to take in the spectacular views from the sea cliffs looking down to the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.

Many bays are spread out along the East coast to take a break and admire the surroundings in stillness. There is one of the nature trails that forms part of the European Long Distance Trail E4, running from Cyprus to Gibraltar.

A lovely monument that you can admire from the sea is the tiny white church of Agoi Anargyroi with steps that lead down to the sea where there is a place where Holy water runs.

Cyprus has the ideal climate for sailing all year round with low annual rainfall and light winds. Thirty foot high cliffs have caves which have been hewn by sea, wind and nature. Taking a boat trip along the coast you will see that they are really striking, which is why they have been aptly named the ‘Palaces’.

Cape Greco has warm sea temperatures and visibility reaching up to 40 meters. For this reason, and not to mention the wonderful scenery and the marine life, this area is very popular with divers.
