As “family cabins” the ship offers 121 connecting cabins plus 12 “FV-Family Veranda” suites (capacity up to 5). These aft-located family suites are sized 270 ft2 (25 m2), each with a large balcony (sized 240 ft2 / 22 m2, patio furniture, 2-seat dining table), separate living room (coffee table, 2 chairs, convertible sofa /to trundle bed), separate bedroom (wardrobe, queen bed, vanity, 40-inch HDTV), bathroom (WC/shower).
All Celebrity Constellation cabins as amenities have 2 twin beds (convertible to Queen, bedside tables with lamps), ample closet space, private bathroom (shower, bath products, towels, bathrobes), comfortable sitting area (desk, drawers, vanity, sofa), smart HDTV, individual air-conditioning, direct-dial phone, personal safe (in the closet or behind the desk mirror), mini bar (AquaClass rooms and suites have mini-fridge), Wi-Fi Internet access, deluxe bedding sets (100% cotton), 24-hour room service (complimentary). Some staterooms additionally have a sofa bed or/and upper (Pullman beds) for 3rd/4th person. Each passenger stateroom is equipped with an interactive TV system (HDTV and keyboard-remote control device). The HDTV is interfaced with a mini Mac computer that allows Internet access, booking excursions, making reservations, ordering services, checking onboard accounts, browsing food and bar menus; watching movies on-demand. The channeling includes sports-movie-music-news channels, also Celebrity Cruises ship info channel and live camera views. The TV size varies by cabin category, raging between 32 and 52 inches (in largest suites).
As to power outlets, each cabin has several US-standard plugs (North American 3-pronged / 3-pin sockets, 110 V) and one European-standard plug (2-pronged / 2-pin socket, 220 V). UK passengers have to use adapters. There are no bedside plugs, so bringing an extension cord is recommendable.

Note: Celebrity Suite cabins 6104 and 6106 are without balconies (floor-ceiling windows instead).

Aqua Class (“spa cabins”) represent a new class of accommodations located on decks 9 and 11. As for sizes, they are slightly larger than Deluxe Balcony staterooms (190 ft2 / 55 ft2 balcony). Each The Retreat Suite is served by a dedicated butler (contacted via a WhatsApp chat function) allowing guests to message their butler at any time. The Retreat guests also enjoy complimentary services provided by a dedicated excursion expert, including personalized planning (for land-related activities) and arranging transportation/transfers for shore excursions. Suite-to-car butler escorts are available for private trips ashore.
The 24-hour room service menu includes cold and hot breakfast items (cereals, fruits, eggs, pancakes, also daily soups, salads, fast food (burgers, sandwiches, pizza, desserts, vegetable lasagna, steaks, quesadillas), also items from the main dining room’s dinner menu. The room service order is via the cabin phone or the interactive TV system.
IMPORTANT: Celebrity Cruises charges USD 3,95 for late-night room service orders (between 11 pm and 6 am). This is an extra service charge implemented fleetwide (including on the Constellation ship). Passengers exempted from the new room service fee are the occupants of higher-grade cruise accommodations (Aqua-class, Concierge-class and all Suites).
IMPORTANT: The daily replenished bottled water perk for AquaClass cabins is no longer available. AquaClass guests, along with passengers in Sky Suite and Celebrity Suite accommodations, now receive (free of charge) two bottles of water (9 oz / 250 ml) only once – upon embarkation. Still, AquaClass passengers enjoy the beverage package perk, so they can take bottles of water for free at any of the ship bars. Know that Celebrity Cruises drink packages are not available on trans-oceanic (including Transatlantic) crossings.

Celebrity Constellation vs Norwegian Luna
The Celebrity Constellation was built in 2002. It's 24 years older than the Luna , which was built in 2026. The Norwegian Luna will be the 21st ship in the NCL fleet, debuting in April 2026. The Luna is still under construction and Norwegian hasn't released all the details yet.
Comparison Overview
Number of passengers, food and restaurants.
- Bars and Drinks
Pools and Hot Tubs
Ship features and activities, cruise costs, onboard costs.
The Constellation is considered a small size ship. Coming in at 965 feet long and 106 feet wide, it's roughly the length of 2.7 football fields, as wide as 2 tractor-trailers and the same height as a 11-story building. Compared to the Norwegian Luna, the Constellation is 42% smaller in terms of overall tons.
Celebrity Constellation holds 38% fewer passengers than the Luna based on double occupancy (two people per room). When you look at the "Space Ratio," or the total tonnage of a ship compared to the number of passengers, the Constellation has less space per person compared to the Luna.
Food is a big part of any cruise, and the ship you choose can make a huge difference in your food experience.
The Constellation has 11 different dining options like Oceanview Cafe , Tuscan Grille , and Sushi on Five . Of those options, 8 are complementary, or included with your cruise fare. The other 3 options have an additional fee.
The Luna has 6 more dining venues. Some of its popular venues are Nama , Le Bistro French , and Hasuki . 6 of these restaurants are complementary and the other 11 have an additional fee.
If you like having a variety of places to eat, the Luna might be a better choice. It has 55% more dining options than the Constellation.
If you're looking to avoid extra money while on board, the Constellation might be a better choice then the Luna. More of the dining options are included in the base cruise fare, potentially saving you money.
In terms of drinks and cocktails, you have a variety of choices. Both ships serve the Coca-cola family of products. That means Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Barqs Root Beer, although the selection can vary by ship.
There are also plenty of bars available on these ships. You can check out recent the bar menus for the Luna below.
Nothing beats relaxing by a pool with a nice drink in hand as you feel the fresh sea breeze pass by you. The problem is that with thousands of people on a ship, there's not always room. If you want to spend all day for 7 days in a pool, a cruise isn't for you. You would have a much better bet choosing a resort with a huge pool complex. That being said, a quick dip in the pool can be nice on a hot day.
The Celebrity Constellation has a total of 2 pools and 4 hot tubs. Tired of loud kids and splashing? 1 of the hot tubs are adults only.
Norwegian Luna has more pools than the Constellation and more hot tubs. There are more exclusive pools and hot tubs on the Luna. If you don't mind paying for exclusive access to areas in order to have less crowds, this might be a better choice.
Both ships have lots of activities to keep you busy throughout your cruise. Below you'll see a list of some of the major features on these ships. On both ships, 60% of the activities below are included in your cruise fare.
Celebrity is a premium cruise line. Premium cruise lines typically offer upscale food, accommodations, and service. These typically cost about $150 - $400 per person per day.
Norwegian, on the other hand, is considered a mainstream cruise line. Mainstream cruise lines cater to a variety of guests, hoping to provide something for everyone. These typically cost about $100 - $350 per person per day.
Cruise pricing is dynamic and varies for each specific sailing based on factors such as departure point, ports of call, and time of year. To get a good idea of how the pricing compares, visit the cruise line's website to price out the separate cruises or consult a travel professional.
Another way to gauge the cost of a cruise is to consider how much you'll spend on board. Even though a lot is included in the base cruise fare, you may still spend money on things like spa treatments, specialty dining, drinks, and excursions. In addition, guests can also have to pay for things like gratuities and tips.
Typically guests can expect to spend about 25 - 40% of the cost of the cruise on onboard expenses. In other words, if the cruise fare is $1,000 per person, you might spend between $250 and $400 on extra expenses.
The table below will help you compare onboard prices to see if you might spend more on a specific ship.
Celebrity Cruise Lines offers an "All Included" program. Guests who book a cruise using this promotion will have wifi and alcohol included. Some sailings are available without this program so pay attention when booking. Typically prices are lower if they don't include "Always Included." The wifi and alcohol package are the base levels and can be upgraded for an additional cost.
Norwegian Cruise Line offers a Free at Sea fare. Through this program, guests receive free open bar, a discount on excursions, some free internet, and some meals at their specialty restaurants. If you book using this promotion, you'll be responsible for the gratuities on the dining and drink package. If you won't be using these options, booking a "sail away" rate that doesn't include the Free at Sea benefits is considerably cheaper. Also, most of these benefits are the base packages; you can spend more to upgrade to better alcoholic drinks or faster/more wifi.

Costa Maya, you'll be welcomed by the lush, jungly landscape of Mexico's southeastern Yucatan peninsula. This destination is the gateway to 60 miles of white sand beaches, dazzling coral reefs, and ancient Mayan ruins. Belize is brimming with natural beauty, both in its lush rainforests and diverse oceans rich with marine life. A Belize cruise offers endless opportunities for adventure and an abundance of ecological treasures to explore. Divers love Cozumel for its clear waters and preserved coral reefs. Beach lovers can rest and relax at beaches like El Cielo or Playa Palancar, while outdoor enthusiasts will find respite in the island's jungles and national parks. There's no shortage of beach bars, clubs, and dancing on the island for nightlife lovers, either. Cozumel may be one of Mexico's biggest destinations, but it hasn't lost its heart in the process.

Port of Call Port of Call (Arrival, Departure)
Tampa is a city on Tampa Bay, along Florida’s Gulf Coast. A major business center, it’s also known for its museums and other cultural offerings. Busch Gardens is an African-themed amusement park with thrill rides and animal-viewing areas. The historic Ybor City neighborhood, developed by Cuban and Spanish cigar-factory workers at the turn of the 20th century, is a dining and nightlife destination.
Once the Imperial Maya’s Port of Call now Puerto Costa Maya is the leader in culture and adventure travel in the Mexican Caribbean! Explore the wonders of the Mayan Coast, the incredible Great Maya Reef astounding architectural feats, endless white beaches and the mysterious sacred cities of the ancient Maya. Discover for yourself the wild, unexplored beauty of the Mayan Coast.
Belize City
Belize City is located in the heart of the country. From there you will be able to make your connection to everywhere else you want to go; from taking a bus to go north and visiting the Community Baboon Sanctuary, Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary and other attractions to catching a boat to the Cayes to taking a bus to visit relaxing Placencia, the adventurous Cockscomb Basin, the only Jaguar Reserve in the world to the mysterious archaeological sites such as Caracol and Xunantunich and the interesting Mountain Pine Ridge area. Not only is Belize City your gateway to mystic Maya Sites (only found in Central America), adventurous caves, rivers, unique flora, fauna and relaxing breathtaking beaches, but it is also filled with history. Belize City has the only manual swing bridge in the world which is still being swung daily. The oldest Anglican Cathedral Church in Central America, St. John's Cathedral, was built in 1812 from bricks brought as ballast from European sailing ships. Over the years, Government House (now the House of Culture Museum) was used as an administrative office and living quarters for the governors of Belize. This was built in early 1800 with a combination of Caribbean Vernacular and English Urban architecture. The Lighthouse monument at Fort George Point towers over the harbor entrance. This was built form money donated to the country by Belize's greatest benefactor - Baron Bliss, the 5th baron of Portugal. At his request, he was entombed in front of the lighthouse which he designed himself prior to his death. City tours are available offering in-depth history of the city.
The beautiful island of Cozumel, the largest inhabited island in Mexico, is a paradise for divers from all over the world. The island is surrounded by more than 25 reef formations where divers of all ages and skills can enter into a completely fascinating and different world: endless coral inhabited by immense shoals of colorful fish. The possibilities are interminable for both beginners and experts. East of the Yucatán Peninsula, on top of the age-old structures of the Mayan coral reef, the second largest in the world, stands the Island of Cozumel, the largest inhabited island in Mexico. Its name, derived from the word Cuzamil, meaning “island of swallows” in Maya, conjures up memories of its pre-Hispanic origin, the conquest of America and the pirates and buccaneers that thronged its seas. The Island of Cozumel measures 48 km from north to south but only 16 from east to west. On either side of the island, beaches form a long, white sandy coast. Gentle waves and transparent waters wash the western side of the island, while huge waves crash against the eastern side. Its flora and fauna have a number of unusual features and include certain endemic species, such as the dwarf raccoon and the Cozumel wren. Cozumel’s greatest wealth, however, lies underwater.

Five essential things you should know before you board a Celebrity Cruises ship
F ounded in 1989 by the Greece-based Chandris Group, the funnels of Celebrity Cruises’ fleet are marked with a large X – actually the Greek letter chi – in a nod to the line’s Greek roots.
Acquired by Royal Caribbean in 1997, today the line is known for its ultra-chic ships – think of them as a relaxed luxury resort at sea – whose elegantly cool spaces have been created by world-renowned designers and architects including Kelly Hoppen CBE , Jouin Manku, Nate Berkus and Tom Wright.
Celebrity Cruises also has one of the most famous cruise ship captains in Kate McCue , who became the first American woman to captain a mega-ship – Celebrity Summit – in 2015, at the age of 38.
McCue isn’t the only woman in a position of responsibility at Celebrity Cruises as the line works towards gender equality. Ecuadorian Nathaly Alban is the first female captain to navigate the Galapagos, Briton Rachel Arnold is a chief officer, while Nicholine Tifuh Azirh became the first woman from Ghana to work on the bridge of a cruise ship.
1. Where does Celebrity cruise?
Celebrity Cruises sails to more than 300 destinations in 79 countries, meaning you are spoilt when choosing where to go and when.
That being said, Europe and Alaska are Celebrity Cruises’ summer mainstays, with the Caribbean the established winter haunt – although the line will also send several of its ships to Asia and Australia during the Northern Hemisphere’s colder months.
Celebrity’s Galapagos-based vessel, Celebrity Flora, sails exclusively around the region, in keeping with local rules.
Most of the Miami-based brand’s itineraries range from one to two weeks in length. The sister cruise line to Royal Caribbean and Silverseas, Royal Caribbean Group , owns all three – Celebrity doesn’t offer Grand Voyages or world cruises. Rather, the line’s longest voyage is a 19-night Tahitian Treasures sailing onboard Celebrity Solstice.
Departing from Honolulu in Hawaii, the cruise calls at Papeete, Raiatea and Moorea (French Polynesia) and Tauranga, Auckland and the Bay of Islands (New Zealand), before arriving in Sydney.
Celebrity also offers a range of mini cruises – bite-sized voyages that range from two to four days in length and are ideal for those who are new to cruising and looking to test the waters before committing to a longer itinerary.
Options include a three-night Key West and Perfect Day itinerary – which, as the name suggests, features a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay (Royal Caribbean’s £190 million private island in the Bahamas) – or, closer to home, the Netherlands with its canal-filled cities and countryside lined with colourful tulip fields.
And if you want to skip today’s overcrowded airport experience, the good news is that Celebrity Apex will home-port in Southampton for a second consecutive summer in 2025. The Edge-class ship will offer cruises to the Norwegian fjords and Arctic Circle.
2. Who does Celebrity Cruises appeal to?
Celebrity Cruises attracts a diverse range of passengers. While most of the onboard activities and amenities including the stylish pool and lounge areas, classic shows (including exclusive performances from American Ballet Theatre performers on certain ships), casinos, martini bars, musicians and magicians, appeal to couples in their 40s and 50s, the line also draws in families thanks to its array of kids’ clubs (dubbed Camp at Sea) during the school holidays.
Camp at Sea is split into five age groups – Shipmates (three to five), Cadets (six to nine), Captains (10-12), and Teens (13-17) – with activities falling into four distinct categories: art, recreation, culinary and STEM.
What you won’t find are the surfing and skydiving simulators, rock-climbing walls, go-kart tracks or zip lines that the likes of Carnival, Royal Caribbean and NCL all offer.
Celebrity Cruises is also one of the most welcoming cruise lines for the LGBTQ+ community . The line pioneered same-sex marriages at sea and kicks off every cruise with a hosted LGBTQ+ welcome party. This is followed by “social hours” and other special events aimed at creating an inclusive environment. Then, each June, Celebrity throws its annual Pride Party at Sea: expect daily LGBTQ+ gatherings, guest entertainers and a flag-raising ceremony .
3. Celebrity Cruises’ fleet
There are 14 ships – with more on the horizon. These can be divided into four classes (or series as the line calls them) which are as follows: Edge, Solstice, Millennium and Galápagos.
Edge series
Celebrity Ascent (3,260 passengers), Celebrity Beyond (3,260 passengers), Celebrity Apex (2,910 passengers), Celebrity Edge (2,918 passengers)
A further Edge-class vessel, Celebrity Xcel, is slated to launch in November 2025.
Celebrity’s Edge-class ships are the line’s newest and also the largest. All four feature an orange-hued, tennis-court-size floating platform called the magic carpet, which can move between decks. It can serve as everything from an al fresco extension of a fine dining restaurant on deck 5 to a chill-out lounge and bar on decks 14 and 16.
Guests also love the industry-first Infinite Veranda staterooms with outward-facing walls made entirely of glass that were first introduced on Celebrity Edge.
Other highlights include the rooftop garden – a living, urban playscape – Eden (a three-storey lounge/restaurant/performance space) and the adults-only solariums.
On the food front, there are up to 33 restaurants to choose from including Le Voyage – Daniel Boulud’s first signature restaurant at sea, which debuted on Celebrity Beyond.
Interiors are the brainchild of Kelly Hoppen, whose slick signature style is reflected in the chic, clean lines of the Edge-class staterooms.
Sails to: Caribbean, Mediterranean, Transatlantic (Ascent and Beyond); Caribbean, Mediterranean, Northern Europe (Apex); Caribbean, Mediterranean (Edge)
Solstice series
Celebrity Reflection (3,480 passengers), Celebrity Silhouette (3,324 passengers), Celebrity Eclipse (3,148 passengers), Celebrity Equinox (3,148 passengers), Celebrity Solstice (3,148 passengers)
Unveiled between 2008 and 2012, Celebrity’s five Solstice-class ships can accommodate between 2,852 and 3,046 passengers, and are best known for their lawn club – areas on their top deck that feature half an acre of real grass at sea.
With their hammocks and Adirondack chairs, they are a great spot to soak up the sun or play lawn games such as croquet .
Other features on Celebrity’s Solstice class ships include a glassblowing pavilion, where demos and hands-on classes are held; an outdoor pool; and an adults-only indoor pool.
On Solstice, the first of the eponymous series, around 80 per cent of staterooms come equipped with a private veranda, while Reflection is home to the 1,646-square-foot Reflection Suite – Celebrity Cruises’ first two-bedroom suite.
All Solstice ships offer the same six complimentary dining options as well as five speciality restaurants: Eden, Le Petit Chef, Murano, Tuscan Grille and Sushi on Five. Reflection and Silhouette have two additional speciality venues in the Lawn Club Grill and The Porch.
Sails to: Caribbean and Europe (Reflection); Europe, Northern Europe, Caribbean (Silhouette); Alaska, New Zealand and Australia (Eclipse); Caribbean (Equinox); Australia and Alaska (Solstice)
Millennium series
Celebrity Constellation (2,559 passengers), Celebrity Summit (2,599 passengers), Celebrity Infinity (2,593 passengers), Celebrity Millennium (2,593 passengers)
The four ships in Celebrity’s Millennium series – the oldest of the line’s three main classes of vessels – were rolled out at the turn of the millennium, as their name reflects.
Despite being more than 20 years old, the vessels are modern in appearance, having undergone various renovations as part of the line’s $500 million (£379 million) “Celebrity Revolution” project.
Their smaller size – each Millennium ship has a capacity of between 2,593 and 2,599 passengers – makes them ideal for passengers seeking a more intimate cruise ship experience.
However, the fact that Millennium-class vessels are about 30 per cent smaller than their Solstice sisters does mean that they have fewer facilities – although rest assured that fan favourites such as the solarium, the retreat, the rooftop terrace and the grand foyer are all present and correct.
Sails to: Mediterranean, Caribbean (Celebrity Constellation); Alaska, Caribbean (Celebrity Summit); Mediterranean, Canary Islands (Celebrity Infinity); Asia (Celebrity Millennium)
Galápagos series
Celebrity Flora (100 passengers)
Celebrity operates a small vessel in the Galápagos Islands that can accommodate just 100 passengers.
Launched in 2019, Celebrity Flora is one of the most luxurious ships in the Galápagos. Expect all-suite accommodation, two impressive penthouse suites spanning the width of the vessel, and special cabanas for overnight glamping on the top deck.
You’ll find fewer onboard amenities on the Galápagos vessel compared with Celebrity’s larger ships, but that’s because you’re in Ecuador’s exhilarating island chain – where the emphasis is rightly on adventure and excursion.
Naturalists lead excursions to see Darwin’s finches, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, giant tortoises and sea and land iguanas.
Two other Galápagos ships – the 48-passenger Celebrity Xpedition and 16-passenger Celebrity Xploration – were sold in June 2024 and will join Lindblad Expeditions’ National Geographic fleet early next year.
Sails to: The Galápagos Islands (Celebrity Flora)
4. Loyalty scheme
The Captain’s Club is a points-based programme that has six tiers. Earn points on every sailing – the amount depends on the length of the cruise and the type of cabin you book – and for non-sailing activities via the line’s Power Up Points programme, which are converted into rewards such as complimentary laundry service, spa discounts, stateroom upgrades and invitations to exclusive onboard events. Upon reaching the top Zenith tier, receive a complimentary seven-night Bermuda or Caribbean cruise.
5. Accessibility onboard
Celebrity Cruises says: “Please give our Celebrity team a call to discuss your accessible requirements. Our team can take care of the majority of our guests’ accessible requests over the phone (0344 493 2043).”
