Journey’s End opens in Palmer Lake!

There is a new restaurant called Journey’s End opening in Palmer Lake! It’s a business like none other with its international cuisine and bar, a heavy emphasis on community interaction, and a family-friend social environment. The owner, Tripp Floyd, joined the Loving Living Local crew to share more on this new and exciting dining entry in Palmer Lake.

Journey’s End is a type of restaurant you will see more of in the future. The focus is on family, fun, community engagement, and play while enjoying the cuisines of multiple locales!

"I usually get decent service at this place but I went here the other day and for 1 it took us like 10-20 minutes to even get asked what we would like to eat and than it took us another 20 minuets to get the food we ordered, when costumers who came in after us got close to what we ordered before we did. We also got a server that was super rude and extremely judgemental, I don't know if it was a race thing, but either way, I did feel disrespected. The food is really good, though. The only real downside to this place is the poor control and rude staff, but the food is delicious, and you can cook your own steak."

This is a wonderful local, family-run establishment. They are very attentive to every dietary need with a lot of options for all. Tripp is also full-up on all the restrictions and precautions. Highly recommend you give this unique restaurant a try!

After Xmas shopping all day. I just wanted to have a quiet beer out by myself. Turns out I discovered a local gem. Great decor and more importantly, great service! I was treated with the utmost kindness from the owners. I heard good things about this place from friends, and thought I’d give it a try. Although I had already eaten , the menu looked delicious. But you can still place preorders, including for the Fourth of July, at their new website: https://https ://fourdaughterstexasbbq.com// When I was growing up in east Texas, my dad used to take our family for bbq at a wonderful hole-in-the-wall where the smell of wood smoke permeated the whole place, and sawdust covered the floor. Until today I haven't had bbq to rival what we used to enjoy there. But now, thanks to Four Daughters BBQ, I finally had a brisket sandwich that exceeded my youth's bbq. Four Daughters offers pulled pork, brisket, and chicken along with your choice of sides: beans, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, and banana pudding. And in a word, it is TERRIFIC! I brought home a brisket sandwich and was delighted to find a choice of additions in my box: both pickled and raw onions, jalapenos, pickles and a container of Kansas City-style sauce. Generous portions. They also sell their BBQ by the pound, half-pound, and family-sized take-out or eat-in combos. My only regret is that I didn't bring home some banana pudding.
