Little Simz Announces No Thank You North American Tour
Thomas Galindo
Almost four months ago, British rapper Little Simz put out her fifth studio album No Thank You , garnering acclaim and praise from hip-hop fans all over the globe. Near the top of that list, the U.S. Little Simz fanbase adored the album, as it landed at No. 14 on Rolling Stone ‘s “Top 25 Hip-Hop Albums of 2022” list .
Videos by American Songwriter
Now, Simz is ready to give back to her supporters. On Monday (April 10), the London native unveiled her upcoming North American Tour on Instagram. “It’s been a long time,” she wrote in the post’s caption. “Appreciate your love and patience, excited to announce my NO THANK YOU North American tour!”
Beginning in Chicago, Illinois, on Sept. 20, the tour will consist of 10 shows. Along with U.S. cities like New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Seattle, Simz will also visit Canadian towns like Montreal and Vancouver. Tickets for each show go on sale to the public on Thursday (April 13) at 10 a.m. local time. Each date will also have its own pre-sale times starting Wednesday.
This announcement comes just two days before Simz will take the stage in Los Angeles for a “very special show” at The Roxy Theater. It’s unclear why she chose to do a one-night-only event in LA, but surely her listeners will be out in full force.
It’s currently unknown if Little Simz will be accompanied by any openers or supporting acts on tour, but depending on how expansive her setlist will be, she may not even need any. Practically only containing writing and production help from fellow British acts Inflo and Cleo Sol, No Thank You is a masterful exhibition of soft-spoken, yet hard-hitting lyricism and flow patterns that perfectly coincide with each song’s production. With that being said, it’s only right that a full-length project this impressive be rewarded with a handful of live performances, at the very least.

Little Simz Will Bring Her Talents To North America For The ‘No Thank You Tour’
UK rapper Little Simz is finally coming (back) to America after financial issues derailed her last planned tour , forcing her to reschedule it . Simz had planned to tour North America last spring after releasing her critically acclaimed album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert , but as an independent artist, the tour would have left her in debt. “As much as this pains me to not see you at this time, I’m just not able to put myself through that mental stress,” she wrote at the time.
In the year since, the Mercury Prize winner put out another critically hailed project, No Thank You , and toured Europe, resulting in the On Stage Off Stage short film. Apparently, that’s put her in a better space, allowing her to announce a 10-date slate kicking off in Chicago on September 20 and hitting Atlanta, LA, and New York. Tickets go on sale beginning Thursday, April 13 at 10 am local time. Find more information here .

I already caught Little Simz live at a festival three months ago. Just like last time, she performed with lots of energy, a very solid set and a fantastic backing band. It is refreshing to hear hip-hop-beats delivered so organically and supporting Little Simz' very raw, in-the-moment performance. She manages to sell her music in a truly personal, genuine way, that works especially well in front of a smaller audience. Great artist, great show!

From the first artist to finally seeing Simbi up on stage, the night was incredible. Amazing vibes and the atmosphere was wow. I loved the experience and I cannot wait to see how she grows and spreads all her love and talent across the globe. So much talent and she inspires so many to chase their dreams!
Honestly best Gig, I've been too, I rank her right next to Kendrick lamar the gig was intimate & the cosmic energy was overly correct, she's the person to watch everything else is waffle she's coming with freshness, I LOVE IT!!! More pleaseeeee.
Absolutely awesome artist! Sings from the heart, very funky and you just want to move!!! Love her music, love her beaming smile and she just makes you feel relaxed and happy!! Can't wait to see her again, may book for Notts too!!
paid for tickets to a show in SF, she cancelled the show and kept the money. Unable to get a refund and no reschedule of the show. Scam artist. Steals US customers money while she continues to tour around Europe

The London rapper was due to head out on a 10-date run in May , with shows scheduled to take place in Portland, San Francisco, Toronto, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and New York, among other locations.
However, Simz has now announced that the shows will no longer be going ahead as planned, but has assured her US and Canadian fans that she “will be there soon, back bigger and better”.
“Hey guys, due to unforeseen circumstances I’ve been left with no option but to reschedule my US tour,” she wrote in a statement. “I take my live shows seriously and would only want to give you guys nothing but the best of me. Being an independent artist, I pay for everything encompassing my live performances out of my own pocket and touring the US for a month would leave me in a huge deficit.
“As much as this pains me to not see you at this time, I’m just not able to put myself through that mental stress. It’s important for me to speak my truth about this and be honest. I appreciate the love and excitement you guys have for seeing me live. Rest assured I will be there soon, back bigger and better.”
Her statement concluded: “For now I’m creating and working on art that I’m so excited about. Music of course but other things too; all levelling to greater heights. A message to all artists and creatives, know your worth and stick to your guns. Love you all.”

American St. Petersburg
Like the United States, St. Petersburg was founded in the 18th century, and like the Unites States, St. Petersburg was built and populated by immigrants from all across Europe. And yet, while rooted in European culture and essentially European in character, both Russia and the United States retained an uneasy and ambiguous relationship with the Old World, by turns embracing their position in Western Civilization and rejecting its perceived decadence in favour of a more primitive, homegrown culture.
While politically they were, at least in theory, poles apart, diplomatically the young United States and the Imperial Court in St. Petersburg retained almost unbroken excellent relations. Russia was the first major power to recognize the new country after the Declaration of Independence in 1776 (the favour would be returned in 1917, when the USA was the first country to recognize the legitimacy of the Provisional Government in St. Petersburg), and among the US Ministers to Russia, ambassadors to St. Petersburg during the 19th century, were two future presidents, John Quincy Adams and James Buchanan, and many other prominent statesmen.
After the October Revolution, many important Petersburg emigres eventually made their way to the United States, among the most famous being Sergei Rachmaninoff, Igor Stravinsky and Vladimir Nabokov. Half a century later, they were followed by a fresh wave of talented dissidents and defectors, including the Petersburg writers Joseph Brodsky and Sergey Dovlatov.
A new life in the USA remained a dream for many Russians right through the 1990s, and one that became a reality for thousands of artists, scientists, engineers and computer programmers from St. Petersburg. At the same time, the influence of American youth culture, repressed for so long by the Soviet authorities, was at its height. The arrival of burgers, Levis jeans, Coca-Cola and MTV were for the majority the most tangible aspects of the new-found freedoms that the collapse of the Soviet Union introduced. A local, specifically Petersburgian, expression of this love for all things American was the explosion in popularity of traditional rock 'n roll and rockabilly, which dominated the city's live music scene in the mid to late nineties.
While enthusiasm for the American way of life may have cooled over the last decade, just as a certain level of political antagonism has returned to relationships between the two countries, cultural ties remain vital to many of St. Petersburg's greatest institutions - the Hermitage with the Guggenheim Museum and the Mariinsky Theatre with the Metropolitan Opera House. The cultural wealth shared by St. Petersburg and the USA and the large number of American citizens with recent roots in the city mean that private relations between Petersburgers and Americans are stronger than ever.

The iconic multi-platinum-selling group America will celebrate their 54 th anniversary with a series of tour dates in 2024. Known for their timeless magic and powerful performances, the Grammy Award-winning perennial classic-rock favorite will draw on their deep catalog of hits including signature song “A Horse With No Name,” a Number One hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 1972.
On their way to becoming a global household name, America’s journey found them exploring a wide variety of musical terrain. Their best-known tunes, which also include “I Need You,” “Ventura Highway,” “Don’t Cross The River,” “Tin Man,” “Lonely People,” and “Sister Golden Hair” were cornerstones of 1970’s Top 40 and FM rock radio. Yet beyond their impressive catalog of hits, listeners would discover there was always much more to America than surface perceptions. The combination of melodic pop rock and folk-jazz elements, slinky Latin-leaning rhythms and impressionistic lyric imagery contrasted well with other more traditional country-rock leanings and highly personal lyrics.
America’s albums–six certified gold and/or platinum, with their first greatest hits collection, History, hitting four plus million in sales–displayed a fuller range of the trio’s talents than did their singles. Their material encompassed an ambitious artistic swath; from effects-laden rockers to oddball medleys to soul-bearing ballads, America displayed a flawless blend of disparate genres and styles as wide-open as the great American plains.
From their formative years, America has been a band capable of transcending borders with its uplifting music and positive message. Embracing a rainbow of divergent cultures, America’s audiences continue to grow, comprising a loyal legion of first, second and third generation fans, all bearing testament to the group’s enduring appeal.
