Enjoy a stay at the Voyage Hotel, Belek. Located on the beachfront of Belek, Turkey, where the extensive gardens take you down to the sea. This resort has easy access to some of the most popular golf courses in the area, making it a perfect golf holiday destination. The choice of cuisine is varied, including Chinese, Mexican, Greek-Fish, Turkish, Italian, Japanese, and Steak. For adults exclusively, we have a dedicated area from April – October at various bars and pools, featuring an extensive menu of the best alcoholic beverages.

As the winter season approaches, these areas become accessible to all. Golfers can tee off at one of the finest golf courses, The Montgomerie Maxx Royal Golf Course, which hosted the Turkish Airlines Open and 9 of the 18 hotels are floodlit. Accommodation

A rich buffet of breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in two main restaurants, one of which is reserved for over 16 only. This separation means that both families and other guests will enjoy their food the way they choose, with the same level of high quality dishes available, hot and cold. For something away from the main restaurants there are no less than 7 à la carte menus to choose from: Chinese, Mexican, Greek-Fish, Turkish, Italian, Japanese and Steak. These restaurants* are scattered around the hotel complex to give you a different experience each time you dine.

To satisfy your sweet cravings, a selection of desserts and sweet treats are offered in the Patisserie Café Lounge and Bar, and the ice cream parlour is available anytime of day to take the heat off. Also available should you fancy a tasty break, are Turkish pancakes known as ‘gözleme’, a warm, filling snack that will keep you satisfied until your next main meal.

With its ultra-all inclusive concept, Voyage Belek has a large drinks selection available. Have a drink in one of fifteen bars on the complex, whether it be in the lobby after a hard-earned round of golf, or keeping hydrated while by the poolside.

A 300 metre-long sandy beach is yours to enjoy, with both family and adult-only areas as part of the hotels’ concept. This Blue Flag beach is a wonderful place to breathe in the exhilarating sea air out on one of the jetties. Guests may even be lucky enough to experience sighting ‘Caretta Carettas’, famous to this area of Turkey. These turtles nest on the shore and make great effort to lay their eggs, and if you are on the beach at the right time, you may even see the babies making their heroic journey to the shoreline.

The Mini club for 4-7 years, the Junior club for 8-12 and the Teenage club for 13-15 (15th June- 15th September) are all ready to entertain and amuse. Activities including cake making, face painting, pirate adventures and mini discos, and if it’s someone’s birthday, they will endeavour to make that day a special one for your child. The Disney Cruise Rainforest Room is part of the Spa on all Disney ships, including the new Disney Wish – and it’s one of the most popular (but somewhat hidden) experiences. 

The Disney Cruise Rainforest is a limited-access, adults-only area where you will find steam rooms, showers, cold rooms, jacuzzis, and stone lounge chairs – the perfect space for a relaxing getaway location! 

Think soothing music, essential oils, and peace and quiet while you drift into serenity.

It is not included in the standard cruise fare and is an optional additional extra for those looking to splurge on their relaxation experience. 

On the Disney Fantasy and the Disney Dream , you will also find two hot tubs that overlook the front of the ship.

The Rainforest Room in the Disney Dream and Fantasy is much larger than the classic Disney Wonder and the Magic.

Of course, there are also more passengers on the larger ships. This means that whichever Disney ship you are on, the Rainforest Room should not be too crowded.

The Disney Wonder and Magic have re-imaged Rainforest Rooms which are very similar and the Disney Fantasy and the Disney Dream have Rainforest Rooms which are very similar.

The Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic Rainforest Rooms are completely indoors, with two steam rooms. 

The Disney Fantasy and the Disney Dream have panoramic windows and are placed at the very front of the ship to provide an amazing full view of the ocean. 

The stone loungers on these ships have a view, meaning you can see the daylight or the stars at night – whichever you prefer. 

These rainforest rooms also come with three steam rooms (with ocean view windows) if this is something that takes your fancy.

In all of the Rainforest Rooms, there is a selection of fabulous showers that all come equipped with different settings such as cold rain or warm tropical rain, and aromatherapy features. 

Different features will suit you best, so be sure to check out the features of your specific cruise ship before booking!

The picture above is of the stone loungers in the Disney Wonder Rainforest Room.

They have the same basic design, but the ones on the Fantasy have a headrest. I didn’t tend to use this anyway but rolled up a towel to put behind my neck.

All the stone loungers have reading lights.

The stone loungers on the Disney Wonder and Magic have a privacy curtain between them.

They are far enough apart so that you don’t disturb the person next to you, but the curtain really is a nice addition (and note the current social distancing rules).

Of course, stone loungers are very popular. It’s kind of like the usual deal where people tend to get a pool chair and it seems like they are never going to move.

Patience usually pays off though and you will get a chair eventually. Even at the busiest times.

The stone loungers on the Disney Fantasy and the Dream look out over the ocean. They are in an enclosed area, but you are at the back of the ship so you can see the daylight or the stars at night.

Another major difference in the newer Disney Ships is that the Rainforest Room on the Dream and Fantasy have two hot tubs.

These are on the front of the ship and you have a fabulous view.

The area with the hot tubs on the Dream Class ships is open to the outside so it is a great place just to take in the view.

You will often find birds flying in and hitching a ride on the ship!

These hot tubs really only fit two people at a time – unless you want to be really close to your fellow guests!

The design of the hot tub on the Disney Dream and Fantasy is a little bit strange and I personally don’t find them very comfortable. The bottom of the hot tub is not flat. It has an elevated curve design.

I am not sure if I was the wrong height to make this work. However, I am 5′ 4″ and DH is 6′ and he didn’t like it much either!

The amazing view does not distract from the fact that the hot tubs are a weird design.

Whilst the design is strange, the location of the hot tubs on Disney Fantasy and Dream couldn’t be more perfect. You can enjoy some time in the hot tub whilst overlooking the ocean.

You can even feel the ocean breeze as some of the panels on the screen are open. This also means that sometimes birds will join you in the area! They aren’t too much of a nuisance though as they seem to soon find their way back out again.

On the Disney Fantasy and Dream ships, there are 3 steam rooms. The Disney Wonder and Magic have two steam rooms.

Again, I prefer the ones on Fantasy or Dream. The sauna on the newer Disney Fantasy and Dream ships has a window where you can look out over the ocean. It really is an amazing experience to relax in the sauna and look out at the ocean below.

This was probably my favorite of the steam rooms. The picture above is taken on the Disney Fantasy.

If you want to enjoy the sauna on the Disney Wonder or the Magic it is located inside the changing rooms.

This is fine, except they aren’t mixed so you may have to enjoy them alone!

The Laconium was almost too hot to deal with. The temperature of the Laconium is set between 107 and 118 degrees Fahrenheit.

The warning says no more than 10 minutes but I don’t think there is any way I could get anywhere near the time limit in here!

The floor is almost too hot to walk on so be sure that you wear flip-flops. Take a towel in with you to all the steam rooms to sit on.

The Hamam was a lot more tolerable. This is set at a lower temperature of 104 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit.

As part of the Disney Cruise Rainforest Spa Pass weekly package, you used to get free salt scrubs for every visit.

However, free scrubs are a thing of the past. Since July 2019 Disney has started charging for the Rainforest scrubs. Prices do seem to vary but seem to be around $15.

On my last Disney cruise, the choice was between orange, lavender, and chocolate. The orange had the nicest smell so I usually get that one.

Are they worth $15? Unfortunately, I would have to say that they aren’t.

I really wish that they would reintroduce the free scrubs for those who buy the weekly pass – even if it is just one or two scrubs. It is an example of cutbacks that really aren’t welcome to the regular guests of the Disney cruise line.

It was a nice addition to a visit to the Rainforest and $15 is a fairly outrageous cost.

Even if you buy the fabulous ELEMIS Scrub that they push so much in the spa, that is $60 for a pot which would give you more than four of the ones that are made up for the Rainforest.

If you do decide to purchase the scrub, the spa staff recommends that you use the salt scrub in the Hamam. They suggested that you apply the scrub and then allow it to be absorbed for about 5 minutes.

As you can imagine, this makes quite a lot of mess in an area that other people are using!

Make sure that you are courteous and rinse the seats and floor with the water provided.

The best technique I found was to fill the plastic cup with water and use that to rinse the floor. In the Wonder, there is a water spray so I just used that to rinse it down the drain!

Then go to your favorite Rainforest Room shower to rinse off the scrub. You will feel so relaxed that you are ready to face anything!

In all of the Disney Cruise Rainforest Rooms, there are fabulous showers, all with different settings. It is a lot of fun to experiment and find out which is your favorite shower!

Again I am going to say that the newer ships the Disney Dream and Fantasy are superior to the classic Wonder and Magic.

The temperature of the showers in the Disney Wonder Rainforest seems to have just one setting. Cold!

There are just three showers on the classic ships and they don’t seem to have the same aromatherapy features as the ones on the larger ships.

Some of the showers have cold rain, others have warm tropical rain.

It is a fabulous experience to come out of one of the steam rooms and go into your favorite shower. The showers in the Disney Fantasy and Dream are better than those on the Classic Ships.

Some of them even have flashing lights and sound effects to mimic a rainstorm.

It’s fun to decide which is your favorite one.

When you are ready to experience the Rainforest Room, you should wear a bathing suit or swimming costume and light clothing or a cover up to walk there!

 When you arrive at the room, you will be provided with both a bathrobe and a set of flip-flops to wear during your experience.

The Rainforest Room will provide you with towels and water for hydration – so no need to bring either of these! This is the same across all Disney Cruise ships. 

The one question everyone wants to ask: what’s the price for a Rainforest pass? 

Unfortunately, there is no standard price that is clearly displayed, and prices do seem to vary from ship to ship depending on the size and the features of the boat. 

Prices online start from roughly $29 USD for a day pass, with options to extend to a full cruise length pass as well. 

For the best experience, we recommend pre-purchasing your Rainforest Day before your cruise departs, which can be easily done by calling Disney or through your travel agent if you prefer. 

You can occasionally purchase these passes on board your cruise ship, but to guarantee your experience it’s best to book beforehand!

Prices for the Rainforest Room seem to vary per cruise and on each ship.

The only accurate way to get current pricing is to attend the Spa on embarkation day and get the price from them.

An 18% gratuity will automatically be added to the Rainforest Room Pass cost.

I have to say that I found this pretty irritating. There is no service involved except checking in with the Spa Desk when you arrive and checking out when you leave.

You do not officially have to be a “couple” to buy a Couples’s Rainforest Pass. You can share a Rainforest Couples Pass with a friend!

Therefore if you have a friend or family member in your party you can still share a Pass so that you can save some money.

This length of cruise Rainforest Passes can only be purchased once you are onboard your Disney cruise ship. We head straight to the spa when we board the Disney cruise.

There are only a limited number of the length of cruise passes available for the Rainforest. We have heard different numbers for how many, but Disney has never released the official figure.

Each time you want to visit the Disney cruise Rainforest Room you will go to the reception desk of the spa. You will hand over your room key and be given a key bracelet to access the Rainforest Room.

Sometimes you are given a robe, sometimes not. If you don’t get one at the reception desk then they are available in the spa changing rooms.

There are changing rooms close to the Disney Cruise Rainforest Room. Here you will find bathrooms, lockers, toiletries, showers, and a sauna.

There are also flip-flops provided for use in the Rainforest Room. We would suggest using these or bringing your own.

The showers in the changing areas are large and have really nice shampoo and conditioner available. You can use these at any time.

Even though the showers in the staterooms are relatively large for a cruise ship, it is nice to use these sometimes, particularly because the free products available are so nice!

The lockers are operated by a number key code. You simply have to remember your code and of course which locker you chose.

Ok, so we know that isn’t always that simple! We did see that people forgot and then had to ask one of the spa staff to help them.

When you have finished in the Rainforest Room you just go back to the reception desk and hand them your bracelet key. They will then return your Key to the World.

There is no limit on the amount of time that you can spend in the Rainforest Room. However, if you are using the stone chairs you are asked to be considerate of how long you spend on them if people are waiting. It isn’t usually a problem but sometimes people do seem to spend an age on there without moving!

The Rainforest Room has typical opening hours on the cruise from 8 am through to 10 pm. 

Just like any in-demand service, there are good times (and bad times!) to visit the room if you are looking for a lower-traffic, more intimate experience. 

If you’re looking for the quietest time possible, earlier is better  – and what better way to start your day than by relaxing in the spa and refreshing with a shower afterward?

If you’re not looking to become an early bird on your cruise, later in the evening (around dinner time) is also quieter as people tend to be in the restaurants or preparing for dinner time. 

The days at sea are always going to be busier in the room than days at port, as on port days, many people choose to exit the ship and explore the regions. 

There are two main ways to book your Rainforest Room experience: before your cruise ship sets sail, and once you are on board. 

Booking before your ship departs ensures that you will have a better chance of getting an experience booked on the days/times you want! 

To guarantee your Rainforest Room experience, either call your travel agent or the Disney customer service crew to pre-arrange your experience ahead of time.

Alternatively, you can organize this (pending availability) once aboard the cruise ship. 

When you board your Disney cruise and after completion of the drill, make your way towards the Senses Spa section of the ship. 

Go into the Senses Spa and ask to arrange a Rainforest Room experience. They will then run you through what availability is left throughout the duration of the cruise! 

We recommend the Disney Cruise Rainforest Rooms on all of the ships, but by far the best are the ones on the Disney Fantasy and the Dream.

The design and the amount of space allocated to the Rainforest Rooms on the newer ships are definitely better than the classic ships.

The fact that you can see outside of the room and get amazing ocean views is a huge plus on Disney Fantasy and the Dream.

Having said that, the classic ships are still very much worth some time in the Rainforest Room. Yes, they are smaller but they have many of the same relaxing elements. The stone chairs are fabulous on all of the ships.

The classic ships Rainforest Rooms have been re-imagined in recent years and it has made a big difference.

The classic ships do not have hot tubs, but for me, that doesn’t really matter as I am not a big fan of the hot tub design in the Rainforest.

If you really can’t make up your mind I would suggest that you do the tour of the Rainforest which is offered on the first day that you board the ship. You will then see exactly what facilities it offers.

You can use the locker showers without purchasing a pass - they are open to everyone aged 18 and over. They Elemis products in the showers, and also there is a sauna in each locker room. Enjoy Alaska!

In the past few days DCL started pre-selling the Rainforest Room Length-of-Cruise passes in the Spa & Fitness section of the first day planning on the app and website. You no longer have to wait until you board, but be quick because they sell out.

I recently sailed on the Wish. The pass for a 4-night cruise was about $250. The scrub was free but only available when you ask for it. Rainforest room also includes an ice room.

I got the pass, because the Sauna was only available in the rainforest room. Overall, I wish the Sauna was hotter and the ice room colder. However, it was still a really nice experience and I found the pass to be worth it. I enjoyed using the Sauna/Steam/Ice room twice a day. In addition, the shower in the spa is way bigger than your room, so I showered in the spa instead of my room.

Hello! Where can I buy the day pass online? I've searched repeatedly and don't see that option. We decided to call to reserve since we couldn't find it on the app, but after being on hold 1-1/2 hours, our phone decided to mute itself and we couldn't be heard! Frustration! lol.

Centuries of history shaped the natural remedies used in the British Virgin Islands community by local healers, better known as traditional healers or medicine men and women.

The British territory of the Virgin Islands has a long history. Christopher Columbus and his crew were the first Europeans to arrive in the Virgin Islands during his second voyage to the new world in 1493. Thereafter. The Spaniards were the first to settle within the territory in 1503 on the island of Virgin Gorda.

With the settlement of Europeans in the territory over centuries, new illnesses were introduced to the region. Consequently, the need to implement traditional healing methods arose. These traditions have been a source of inspiration passed on from generation to generation, as early inhabitants of the British Virgin Islands depended on natural remedies of their African ancestors to treat various illnesses and pains.

The practice of African ancestral healing traditions is still alive through the use of various parts of native trees in the form of compresses, teas, poultices, balms, lotions, inhalants and oils that provide multiple healing and relieving benefits credited to their ancient recipes to cleanse, purify and heal the body.

This incredible history of healing and its benefits has inspired us. Our offerings are interlaced with both the enduring practices of our ancestors and the contemporary techniques of our therapeutic and beauty treatments. The result is a uniquely curated spa experience.

In the 17th century. the jumbie tree (Ceiba pentandra) and tamarind tree (Tamarindus indica) were introduced in the Caribbean from Africa. Since then they’ve been prized for their multiple benefits by BVlslanders.

Senses Spa Review

My guest blogger Sara recently sailed on a 3 night Halloween on the High Seas cruise on the Disney Dream (full trip report here ).  On that sailing, she and her husband had a couples massage at the Senses Spa and she was kind enough to write a full review for us.  She wasn’t able to take any photos, but I have some photos from the spa on the Dream from 2017 that I will insert into the post.  You can see my post with even more photos of the spa here .

Before we get started, I want to briefly mention some great new Disney finds.  I love finding new, unique Disney items and I always try to share them with all of you when I do.  I recently discovered TeePublic and their massive amount of Disney merchandise.  Just put “Disney” in the search box (or click here ) and prepare to spend some time perusing it all.  In addition to shirts (of all types), they have mugs, notebooks, tote bags, phone cases, wall art, pillows and more.  I ordered a long sleeve child’s shirt, a notebook, and a tote bag and I love them all!

My family loves Stitch, so this notebook was a no-brainer.  I’ll use it on future cruises for my trip notes.  Can you name all 6 villain disguises?

Okay, let’s get down to business.  Here are Sara’s thoughts about the spa:

My first experience with Senses Spa and Salon was on my honeymoon five years ago. Since then I have been on five Disney Cruises, each time stopping in for a treatment at Senses Spa. My husband and I have compared the spa experience on all four Disney Ships, and our most recent experience on the Disney Dream was one of the best.

We booked a Couple’s Massage in advance for a port day in Nassau, Bahamas. The cruise planning website only gives the option of a 50 minute massage, but once onboard, we were able to change our massage to 75 minutes by contacting the spa directly. Port days (especially on longer itineraries) are one of the best times to visit the Spa. Typically there is a special offer while in port. This day was no different, in fact Senses sent my husband a $50 birthday voucher for any treatment over 50 minutes.

We originally booked a Swedish massage, but decided upgrade to hot stone (for my husband) and Bamboo (for myself). I have experienced the hot stone massage, and it is wonderfully relaxing. On our second cruise I tried the bamboo massage and never looked back.

After checking in at the front desk, we were given robes and directed to the separate ladies and men’s locker rooms. Calling it a “locker room” is an injustice, as these rooms are fully equipped with a sauna, showers, and changing rooms. There is counter space to fix hair and make-up; each space equipped with basic toiletries and hair dryers. I have heard that some guests use the locker rooms for their daily shower if their stateroom shower is in high demand, and I can see why.

The lockers provide instructions to program a code you choose, ensuring that your belongings are safe and secure during treatment. After storing our clothes and changing into our robes, we were directed to a quiet waiting area where hot tea and water flavored with cucumber and lemon were available. The room was dimly lit and furnished with loungers, continuing the relaxing theme while waiting for treatment to begin.

During check in we were told the schedule was a few minutes behind, but we only waited a few minutes before our therapists directed us into a Couple’s Villa for our treatment. We considered booking the spa villa for its intended purpose on this trip, but we wondered if the Dream would be ported next to another ship blocking the view of Nassau. This was the case, and our therapists had the curtains drawn for our privacy. After Michelle (my therapist) and her partner exited the room, I peeked behind the curtain to compare the Villa with one we booked on the Magic a few years ago. The layout was much more spacious than the Villa on the Magic, and the private Jacuzzi was on an outdoor deck (although still blocked by glass as on the pool deck). We definitely would have enjoyed that, if only we hadn’t been overlooking the Carnival Sensation. The Villa also had a private bathroom, which proved to be a great feature during a longer massage.

Michelle came back in and our massages began. She assured us that we would receive our appointment as scheduled, regardless of their delay. In the first ten minutes of my treatment, something on the face support of the table was tickling my face, making it nearly impossible for me to relax. After a few minutes of trying to ignore it, I mentioned it to Michelle and saw that the temporary covering over the face support was a piece of torn, gauze-like material. The frayed tear was completely surrounding the face support. Michelle quickly tucked it down, resolving the issue. I’m not sure if tearing (rather than cutting) this material is standard procedure, but if anything makes you uncomfortable during your treatment, I encourage you to speak up! The therapists want you to have the best experience possible, so don’t be shy about giving them feedback.

Because the bamboo provides a very deep tissue massage, at times it may feel overused during treatment. Michelle was well trained and knew how to balance the deep massage with gentle, more relaxing pressure as well. She used the bamboo to focus on larger muscles groups, and her hands and forearms on the smaller muscle groups, which tend to be more sensitive. For the first time ever, I feel asleep during the massage. I was not overly tired, just overly relaxed!

The treatment ended with a scalp massage; the perfect way to transition back into reality. This did leave my hair looking really crazy and a little oily. Afterward I realized that combs are not among the amenities offered in the locker room. For this reason, I would not recommend scheduling this treatment before other activities unless you have time to style your hair. You could also ask them not to massage your scalp, but it really is a great way to end the massage.

At the end of our treatment, the therapists tried to pitch a few products they thought would help with issues they observed throughout the treatment. We told them we wouldn’t be making any additional purchases at the time, and they were very respectful of that. There is an 18% gratuity for Spa treatments that is automatically added to the bill (you can read all about gratuities on DCL here ). We felt the therapists earned that (plus a little more). The exceptional service has made Senses Spa the first thing I recommend to other cruisers. There are so many treatment options, you’re sure to find something that will make your cruise even more enjoyable!

Interesting massage story! I personally don’t like that on the ship they don’t give you full time .. like 60 mins =45 minutes.. or 90 mins is 75 mins . Everyone I know loves mobile massages! My friends and I haven’t encountered a good one yet on cruise ships . I know as a therapist myself that the massage therapists are overworked and don’t get paid what they are worth! I have had friends be massage therapists on cruise ships and they didn’t last long. They told me sad stories of how they were mistreated and overworked! The massages on cruise ships are very expensive! I rather a hotel or home massage with full time! ?

Review Of Senses Spa At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

I had my first “journey” this month at the newly renovated spa at the Grand Floridian Resort. The spa is now called “Senses” and I call it a “journey” since that is what they have named their customized treatments: Relax, Renew or Imagine “journeys.” I wanted to have a facial, manicure and pedicure and certainly wanted to relax so that’s the journey I chose.

Beginning with my appointment phone call to the end of my journey, the Disney staff was extremely friendly, professional, competent and kind. Disney did an excellent job with their renovations maintaining some of the Victorian feel of the resort plus updating treatment rooms, showers and lounges to be very modern yet comfortable. The mosaic work in the Wet Room is amazing.

An added touch at this spa is the offering of a small glass of a fruity elixir. Each journey has its own flavored drink and this flavor carries through to the end of your journey when you receive a very small gel that contains the same flavors.

The lounge where you wait for your treatment is somewhat small. It receives a lot of traffic as everyone must come and go through this room. Therefore, it is not quite the relaxing area that one would like it to be. For instance, the Relache Spa at the Gaylord Palms has a separate Tea Room, Lounge Room and Locker Room so there is no through traffic so one can actually relax prior to having a treatment. Senses’ guests are asked to turn off their cell phones but, sadly, all guests did not do this so again, the “relaxing” part was not so easy.

The facial was delightful and includes a paraffin treatment for your hands as well as a massage of your neck, shoulders and décolleté area. The treatment bed was very comfortable and the new silky-feeling sheets are divine. Special ceiling lighting and soothing music  play a large role in the overall “relaxing” feeling.

My second Relax journey was a week later when I had a Swedish massage. The very comfortable treatment bed was heated this time and at the end of the soothing and invigorating massage, I was delighted to find that my robe had been warmed. What a nice finishing touch!

A 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill but if you mention that you are an Annual Passholder, 10% is taken off your treatment price. You do have to be sure to mention this, however. There was absolutely no mention of purchasing their products on either of my visits but I was asked if I wanted to put “add-ons” to my visit when I called the second time. You have use of the spa for the whole day should you choose to do so but it was on to other projects for me! I would give this spa an excellent rating and would highly recommend taking a magical “journey” there!

Were there any rainforest type scented showers like on the Dream or Fantasy? I loved those and would like a cheaper land option.

Sorry, did not use the showers. The online video of the tour given to the press may mention it if it’s available.

Sadly, there are not an scented showers. We also enjoyed those on the Dream and Fantasy.

3. Tempting Treatments for Everyone

Are you celebrating a milestone event with a loved one?  Maybe you want to pamper a mother-to-be in your life, or introduce an uncertain male to the wonders of spa life?  Well, Senses Spa has special packages to suit every occasion.  There’s a Massage for Two, if you’re looking to celebrate some time together with that special someone.  There’s an Expectant Mother Massage that uses prenatal techniques and improves circulation for mom and baby .  There’s even a Refined or Custom Gentleman’s Facial.  There’s something to soothe and rejuvenate everyone in your party here!

4. Money Matters

When working a Senses Spa outing into your vacation budget, be aware that a 20% gratuity is added to your bill automatically here, so no need to tip the cast member providing your services (though you can, of course, if desired!).  And, because saving money is always nice, here’s an insider tip: if you’re an annual passholder, make sure you let them know, as you’ll receive 15% off your treatment, assuming you spend at least $45 for a service lasting 50 minutes or longer.

5. Special Spa Treatments for Little Ones

Think a spa is an adults-only retreat?  Not at Disney World!  Senses Spa offers special packages for guests between the ages of 4 and 12.  So if you have a deserving prince or princess and wait to spoil him or her, this is the place to do it!  Ask about the “Sweet Treats” manicure and pedicure – each treatment lasts for 25 minutes, and as an extra treat, your little one will receive a yummy surprise once the treatment has come to an end.  (Just keep in mind that all children under the age of 18 must have an adult with them at all times.)

6. Other Ahhhh-menities

So, you’ve finished your service and are enjoying that pleasant post-spa haze of blissful, utter relaxation.  Not quite ready to rejoin the rest of world yet?  Not a problem.  Senses Spa has an array of amenities for guests to enjoy, and you’ll have full access on the day of your visit.  You can enjoy the whirlpool, steam room, and relaxation lounges (we recommend the zero-gravity lounge chairs – ahhh, heaven!).  After all, stress-free moments can be hard to come by, even at Walt Disney World – why not extend them as long as you can?

If you’re a first-time spa guest, it’s normal to have some questions about what to do – and, just as importantly, what not to do – during your visit.  While you’re at Senses Spa, you’ll want to turn off your cell phone or mute it – or better yet, leave it in your room.  Other guests also want to enjoy the tranquility of the spa, so it’s customary to speak quietly.  You can request a male or female cast member to provide your treatment, and they’ll do their best to accommodate you.  Finally, plan to arrive half an hour before your scheduled treatment so you’re not rushed or late.

Comfort is the bottom line at the Senses Spa at Walt Disney World.  You’ll find beverage and light snacks in the relaxation lounges (it’s a good idea to drink a lot of water before and after a treatment) for your enjoyment.  There are lockers you can use for your belongings, but it’s really much more conducive to relaxation if you leave non-essential items in your room.  You’ll be invited to use complimentary robes and slippers while you’re waiting for your service (afterwards you can use them to continue your experience in the lounges).  And if you become attached to them, you can always purchase your own set in the boutique after your visit!  What could be better than continuing your spa state of mind at home?
