* Denise Karagozlu Argentina For sure one of the highlights of my stay in London was my City Jogging Tour! I got to know London from the inside as I ran through one of its fabulous parks while exercising. I had a great time, my guide was fabulous and we did it all at my pace! If you go to London and like running, you can't miss it! *Angela Rouse Luxemburg Super! What an imaginative way to explore London. I've visited London many times, but running 'Iconic London' I visited parts I had never seen before and learnt so much about them. My guide runner was fantastic and she ensured the pace was suitable for all of us in the group. Well done City Jogging Tours, I will tour with you again!

city jogging tours

Rome, Italy

Seeing the Colosseum at sunrise is worth it alone, but we were blown away by the sights on this tour! Our guide Simone was amazing and shared little details alongside the history of all the places we stopped. I think we hit all the major places that were on our to-do list. The streets are mostly empty and it’s so beautiful to see the city before it wakes up. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who is able to run the distance at a comfortable pace! We went about 11 minutes per mile.

city jogging tours

Barcelona, Spain

This was such an unexpected and great service. Instead of running around on my own trying to add miles during my marathon training plan in an unfamiliar city, I was able to focus on the beautiful city. Mattia was super friendly, professional and accommodating. Besides being an amazing experience seeing the city in the morning at its most quiet, I also pushed myself to my fastest half marathon time at 2h 16 min, while holding a nice conversation with Mattia. I was definitely out of my comfort zone, as a lone runner. A million thanks to Mattia for making it so easy and enjoyable!

city jogging tours

Mexico City, Mexico

This was a fantastic tour. Citla is an excellent tour guide. She’s got incredible knowledge about the city and is very passionate about the city and its heritage. I’m delighted I did the tour and got to see some of Mexico city’s highlights. I would strongly recommend anyone wanting to explore the city to give this a go. Citla ran at a comfortable pace and we had many stops to chat, examine points of interest and take some photos. She’s a very patient guide and I think it will be an unforgettable tour for anyone interested.

city jogging tours

Paris, France

As another runner has said, this was the highlight of my trip to Paris. As a runner, there is no better way to explore a city. Wake up early and get your run in, while also seeing some beautiful gardens and buildings. You’ll hear all about the history of each place, and you can stop along the way for a photo. Aurélien even had me going for a fast final kick at the end! It was great!

Can oysters be pregnant? In Berlin they can!

Can oysters be pregnant? In Berlin they can!

The former congress hall, amidst the “Tiergarten” – Berlin’s most famous inner-city park – directly located at the river Spree, is often referred to as “pregnant oyster.” This alludes to the building’s characteristic rooftop as well as the creativity of Berlin’s citizens. Nevertheless, journalists and tourist guides are mostly accountable for the neologism.

On the traces of the Berlin Wall

On the traces of the Berlin Wall

Start in the week at the border strip that divided East and West Berlin in the Cold War. Before the Berlin Wall had started crumbling 29 years ago, border posts and barbed wire separated the country here. Today pedestrians, equestrians and runners enjoy this tranquil spot.

Matthew McConaughey joins Gov. Cox to speak in Salt Lake City as actor explores run for office

Mcconaughey said he’s on a “learning tour” about potential political candidacy..

Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey joined Utah Gov. Spencer Cox and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis to speak in Salt Lake City on Friday as he continues to explore a potential run for Texas governor.

He spoke at the National Governors Association’s summer meeting , which convened governors from across the country at the Grand America Hotel this weekend to discuss various issues including state and federal partnership. Cox is the chair of the association, and Polis serves as vice chair.

“We’re in a battle for facts right now; we’re in a battle for truth.” McConaughey said, commenting on the state of American politics.

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) Gov. Spencer Cox and Matthew McConaughey shake hands at the National Governors Association’s summer meeting in Salt Lake City on Friday, July 12, 2024.

The event was part of Cox’s “Disagree Better” initiative , which aims to promote healthy conflict among voters and elected officials alike during a time of increased polarization.

“You can’t have unity without confrontations,” McConaughey said. “We’re not having real confrontation right now.”

He emphasized the need for “more belief” in America, whether in God, ourselves, our neighbors, or the country, though McConaughey noted “it’s harder to sell that.”

[WATCH: Matthew McConaughey speaks in Salt Lake City ]

Cox responded positively to McConaughey’s comments, saying “I‘m just trying to imagine a presidential candidate like this, talking about belief — in something bigger than ourselves, in each other, in our neighbors, laying out a positive vision for the country. We just don’t see that anymore.”

McConaughey has floated the idea of running for Texas governor before. In 2021, he ultimately decided against it, The Texas Tribune reported , but he has since continued to explore the possibility of running for political office.

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) Matthew McConaughey speaks at the National Governors Association’s summer meeting in Salt Lake City on Friday, July 12, 2024.

On Friday, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy asked if that’s still a path he’s pondering.

“I’m on a learning tour,” McConaughey replied. “I have been for probably the last six years.”

That tour, he said, involves learning more about what the role would entail and whether he would be a good fit, noting, “On days like this, I’m learning a lot.”

McConaughey was not the event’s only guest. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also addressed those gathered for the National Governors Association’s summer meeting Friday. He arrived in Salt Lake City fresh from the 2024 NATO Summit in Washington, D.C.

They’re so high school.

Travis Kelce was spotted “sprinting” to see Taylor Swift after her Amsterdam Eras Tour show on Saturday — and the song mashup she seemingly dedicated to him .

Nikki Glaser told her TikTok followers about spotting the Kansas City Chiefs player, 40, running “through the halls backstage” after the emotional performance.

Nikki Glaser

“I’ve met him before, but I didn’t have time to say anything besides, ‘We love you, Travis.’ And we do,” the comedian said while leaving the concert with her parents.

Glaser continued gushing over Swift, comparing her to the Beatles, before praising the “really great medley” fans are convinced was about Kelce.

The Grammy winner performed “So High School” between “Mary’s Song (Oh My My My)” — a 2006 ballad with a line referencing the athlete’s jersey number, 87 — and “Everything Has Changed.”

The latter track is a “really sweet” one about “growing old with someone,” Glaser explained to her followers.

“Now we know she’s in love with Travis,” the reality star sarcastically quipped. “Not that we questioned it. She likes Travis a little bit.”

Kelce’s reaction to the tribute was caught on camera by a fan, with the tight end appearing to wipe away tears.

Kelce was also present at Swift’s Friday show, making headlines for kissing her forehead while they left the concert.

The couple has been dating since July 2023 after Kelce unsuccessfully attempted to give Swift, 34, his phone number after a Missouri Eras Tour stop.

He has since watched her perform in Sydney , Paris and more locations — even taking the stage in London last month.

Kelce teased future cameos in Wednesday’s “New Heights” episode, saying, “Who knows, might not be the last time. You guys will have to keep showing up to the Eras Tour to see if I pop out of the stage or whatnot.”

London Sightseeing Running Tours & Events

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a City Jogging Tour? It is a guided sightseeing tour that takes place on the run, jogging through the streets of London. It is guided by an experienced local runner who will provide sightseeing commentary along the route. You may choose to join us privately on one of our specially designed City Jogging Tour routes or join one of our group events (see 'Running Tours' and 'Events'). For a fully bespoke running tour, choose the 'Customised Running Tour'option or contact us to discuss your preferences and needs.
  • Do I need to be fit? Our Running Tours and Events are suitable for all running abilities, from gentle joggers through to experienced marathon runners. We always go at your pace or the pace of the slowest person in the group, and our usual format is to make regular stops for further explanations and photos along the route. We welcome all abilities!
  • I like the look of one of the Running Tour routes but the start and/or finish location is not convenient, can the route be adapted?" Yes, absolutely! If you're staying in close proximity to one of our suggested Running Tour routes and prefer an alternative starting location (such as your hotel) or finish location, you'll have the opportunity to let us know your preferences during the sign-up process. We will then contact you to finalise and adapt the tour route for you. Alternatively you could choose the Customised Tour option where we will design a new route especially for you based on your location and interests! If you are unsure which option may work best, please contact us to discuss your needs before booking.
  • I would like to join one of your special Events but the start time is not convenient, do you offer other start times?" All of our special Events start at fixed times of day, however our private Running Tours are tailor made tours which start at a time convenient for you. If you would like us to create an event for your group at a convenient location and time, simply contact us and we will design a bespoke event.
  • How long do City Jogging Tours or Events last? The time taken to complete each Running Tour or Event depends on the length of the tour/event chosen and either your pace (if choosing a private Running Tour) or the pace of your group. Faster runners may complete some of the shorter tours in under an hour, whereas slower runners and longer tours may take over 1 hr 30 minutes (but don't worry, we make regular stops along the way for photos!). There are approximate timings given in the descriptions for each tour on the online reservations page, but these are for guidance only, the exact timings will depend on your average pace (if choosing a private tour) or the pace of the group (if opting for a group running event). You will be advised of approximate timings before the start of your run.
  • How much does a City Jogging Tour or Event cost? Private tours are individually priced according to distance and number of participants, starting from £59. Click on the Book Now link next to each tour description to find price info and you can also find a price summary on the Prices page. The prices for private tours are based on distance, though after sign-up and once we know your average running pace we may advise guests who think they'll take longer than the advertised tour duration that a suppliment of £20 per additional half hour is required, or we will advise shortening the tour if needed. This will only be changed / charged by mutual agreement and finalised in advance of your tour date. In the summer months we also offer a range of themed group running Events with special prices (usually 5-10 K distances) starting from £25 per person.
  • How do I sign-up and pay for a City Jogging Tour or Event? To purchase tickets click the Book Now link next to each tour or event. The sign-up process is quick and easy and several different payment methods are accepted. It is not possible to automatically book private running tours or personal training/yoga/pilates/HIIT sessions with less than 48 hours notice using the automated booking system, but these sessions may still be available. Therefore, if you've just arrived in London and would like to join a running tour or event at short notice (or for any special requests) please contact us and we will advise.
  • What if I want to cancel my booking? For private Running Tours, we offer a refund on cancellations made at least 48 hours before the start of your City Jogging Tour (minus the small booking fee). Simply call or email us within the required notice period and we will refund you using your original payment method. For Running Tours no refunds or exchanges can be given for cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice. If you are experiencing delays beyond your control (such as due to inbound air travel) please contact us as soon as possible and we will in exceptional circumstances, and at our discretion, offer you an alternative time or date where possible, though no monetary refund can be given and an alternative date/time is not guaranteed. For large group bookings (6 or more guests) and corporate events, we require at least 14 days advance notice for cancellations and refunds. We are unable to offer cancellations or refunds within 14 days, but if you contact us with at least 48 hours advance notice we will try to offer you an alternative time or date where possible, though no monetary refund can be given and an alternative date/time is not guaranteed, this is only at our discretion and according to availability.
  • Are discounts available? We sometimes run special offers using discount codes. At the moment you cannot use the discount codes during the automatic online reservation/booking system. Instead, please email us with your code and details of the tour or activity you would like to join. We will then send you a payment link. Visually impaired runners may bring a guide-runner for free if required, though we sometimes have guides available who are trained guide runners. Please contact us to request this. From time to time we hold special events at reduced cost, usually in return for a charity donation, so do keep an eye on our website and on our social media pages for further information.
  • Are there any age restrictions? Yes, you must be at least 18 years of age to participate in a running tour or running event. Exceptionally, older children (10 years +) may participate in our running tours and events (excluding the Beer Run) if their parents or guardians: 1) communicate with us prior to the tour that their children are used to physical activity involving running and will be able to complete the tour or event and 2) accompany and supervise them during the activity at all times.
  • Do I need to sign a disclaimer? The running tours, events and other fitness activities sometimes take place near traffic and roads and involve physical activity, which can be hazardous. By participating you accept that you understand the possible risks involved and will not hold City Jogging Tours liable for any eventuality.
  • What will I do with my belongings when running? Our guides carry a backpack and will be able to carry small items such as wallets and travel cards. However, guides are unable to carry larger items so you should come prepared for this - bringing your own backpack if necessary. Please note that our guides cannot be held responsible for any damage to your belongings. If you are on a short stop-over, we can advise on suitable locations to store your luggage while you are participating in a tour. Contact us before your tour date so we can advise.
  • What if I get thirsty while running? You should carry any water you may need with you on the tour. If you need extra water, there are sometimes cafes or shops along the routes but the availability of water on the route is not guaranteed so you should come prepared just in case.
  • What if it is raining or snowing, will the tour still go ahead?" Tours and events go ahead, rain or shine. However, in exceptional circumstances such as very severe weather (to be determined by your guide) you will be offered to return at a later time or to postpone for another day. This has only happened twice in 9 years! You should turn up at the agreed meeting point as usual where your guide will advise if it is necessary.
  • Does City Jogging Tours operate throughout the year? Yes, City Jogging Tours operates all year round, although we do not usually operate on Public Holidays. If you are unsure, please email or call us in advance to check availability for your preferred date.
