Find out what plants will work well in our climate, provide beauty and color to your landscape and be beneficial for wildlife. Alyne Eiland will share her years of experience in a talk starting at 11 a. m. in the Botanic Garden’s visitor center. Attendees will be entered for door prize drawing at the end of presentation.

Alyne Eiland is an active community volunteer, working as a member of the Tulsa Audubon Society to help coordinate the organization’s annual Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour. She is also an active member of Tulsa Perennial Club, Oklahoma Native Plant Society, and Tulsa Master Gardeners.

  The Botanic Garden is open Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Suggested admission is $2 for adults; 50¢ for kids 3-12 yrs. Free for Garden members.  For more information, call 918-289-0330. For map/directions, click here .

Garden members can enjoy the Garden starting at 8:30 a.m. each Friday in June, July and August. It’s a great time for photography, birdwatching or a stroll through the Garden as our horticulture team prepares for opening.  Note: Power and construction equipment may be in use. Members, for your online tickets, select the date and then verify your membership to be able to select the 8:30 a.m. time slot.  Not a member? Join today!

First Friday Horticulture Tour

Take a walking tour with a staff horticulturist to see and learn more about what’s blooming! Tour will last approximately 45-60 minutes. Tour is free with admission, but spaces are limited. Please reserve your space with advance tickets online.

Second Saturday Dog Day

Bring your pup on this special day when dogs can join you for a walk (and sniffs!) in the Garden. We’ll have free pup cups while supplies last. Dogs must be up to date on all registrations and vaccinations and must be controlled on a non-retractable 6′ leash at all times. Owners are required to clean up after their pups. Maximum of 2 dogs per household. Please bring your own water bowl.

Tulsa Audubon Society’s 25th Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour & Plant Sale

Saturday, May 19, 2018 9-5 Sunday, May 20, 2018 Noon-5 Rain or Shine

Five Tulsa wildlife habitat gardens will be on the Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour & Plant Sale with a large variety of milkweeds and native plants, trees and shrubs being sold at each location. Bird houses and feeders will also be available for purchase. Visit exhibits by Monarch Watch, Oklahoma Native Plant Society, Oxley Nature Center, and Tulsa Audubon Society. See baby critters being cared for by Wing-It (Wildlife In Need Group In Tulsa) volunteers.

Admission donation $6 adult, Children under 13 are free.

The Oklahoma BioBlitz! is a rapid inventory of biological diversity hosted by the Oklahoma Biological Survey and conducted by volunteers from around the state and the region. Jona is director of this Nature Conservancy preserve in south-central Oklahoma, and will discuss what is Oklahoma’s premier crosstimbers property. Pontotoc Ridge Preserve is an excellent example of Oklahoma's ruggedly beautiful lands.

Dr. Butler will sharpen our Oklahoma bird ID skills with photos and field hints first.  Mr. Shackford will bring maps and teach us protocols for counting, recording and reporting birds for our 1st Christmas Bird Count in many years! We will concentrate our CBC participation on the Oklahoma River area, while also picking up some hotspots in parks and neighborhoods.
