From learning about the history of beer at the sight of what was once history’s largest brewery to meeting the team at a micro brewery on the legendary Bermondsey Beer mile, a street that’s home to 16 craft breweries. Come on a journey with us to discover and taste the liquid that this city was built on. We'll start the tour in an historic tap house before working our way to some of the funkiest craft beer drinking holes in the city. Discover how the IPA was invented here in the British capital, try smokey stouts, tingling sour beers, smooth ales and of course our secret beer on this liquid journey through the city. There will be Nine beers that you'll try on the tour, so arrive well fed.

The tour will end near bermondsy street.

All guests must arrive on time but if you inform us before the tour starts about being late we can try to assist you by telling you where the guide is. Please call the number on the contact us page. We will try our best, yet we cannot promise that the guide can come back for you. Also, please note that unfortunately we cannot issue refunds.

Yes, of course! Please let us know your reference number and the date that you want your booking to be moved. We can do this as long as you give us 48 hours notice, and we have a tour to add you to.

All customers have to pay a small booking fee charged by our ticket provider. 2) Yes! You can pay through Paypal, but Paypal also charges a fee so we have to add 4.8% onto the price.

The craft beer will visit 3/4 venues and include on average around 7 samples of beer. Each sample is the equivalent of a small glass of beer. The total amount that this would accumulate to throughout the tour would be approximately 3 pints. We highly recommended having a substantial meal before the tour as no food is included. There will be an opportunity to eat at the end of the tour and our guide will happily recommend a few options. During the tour you will have the opportunity to purchase salty snacks from the venues.

As the emphasis on this tour is on alcoholic beverages, this tour is not suitable for families with children under 18. However our food tour is child and family friendly and a great option for children over 6.

As this tours emphasis is on alcoholic beverages, this tour would not be suitable for anyone that does not drink alcohol.

We strongly recommend purchasing our Food Upgrade to accompany your drinking during the tour. Failing that, there will be an opportunity to eat at the end of the tour at a sustainable market with many, many international food options available to purchase independently. Our guide will happily recommend a few of these. During the tour you will have the opportunity to purchase salty snacks from the venues.

To join our Secret Beer Tours, you should wear comfortable shoes. There will be around 30 mins of walking, however the majority of time will be spent in the actual venues.

Your tour guide on the day will take you on a 3 ½ hour guided tour around the Clapham/Battersea area and you’ll visit several craft beer venues along the way. In each venue, a resident expert will tell you all about the brewery and guide you through the beers you drink.

Redchurch Brewery

Named after Redchurch Street in Shoreditch, this east London brewery produces bottles with names that celebrate the local area like Hoxton Stout, Brick Lane Lager and Bethnal Pale Ale. Head to the mezzanine bar above the brewing equipment to taste your way through the menu. Food stalls often set up shop out front and there are regular live bands and DJs. 

Weird Beard Brew Co

Weird Beard Brew Co.

Founded in 2013 by two hop-loving home brewers, this west London brewery was founded in 2013 and produces experimental, hand-crafted beer. The core line up includes the popular Five O'Clock Shadow, an American-style 7% ABV IPA and seasonal beers are produced throughout the year including Black Christmas, a festive stout brewed with cranberries. 

Beavertown Brewery

Inspired by Brooklyn brews, Beavertown Brewery owner Logan Plant (the son of Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant) first started brewing using a 50 liter rice pan at home before opening a small brew house in Duke's Brew and Que restaurant in 2011. The brewery now operates from an industrial estate in Tottenham and sells cans and bottles emblazoned with arguably the coolest designs in town. 

Canopy Beer Co

Under a railway arch in south London's Herne Hill, Canopy Beer produces small-batch beers named after local areas including Brockwell IPA and Milkwood Amber. The Tap Room serves brews made on site and there's an outdoor seating area where occasional street food pop-ups sell snacks. 

Camden Town Brewery

See how top beers including Camden Hells Lager and Camden Pale Ale are brewed by joining a tour of the Camden Town Brewery in Kentish Town. Either drop in on a Saturday between 1 and 2 p.m. for a 30-minute informal tour or book a tour in advance on Thursday or Saturday for a more in-depth look at brewing techniques and the chance to taste several beers straight from the tank.

Meantime Brewing Company

One of the pioneers of London's craft beer scene, the Meantime Brewing Company was set up in 2000 and the brewery's core beers, including London Lager and London Pale Ale are stocked in hundreds of pubs across the capital. A quick taste A lively bar straddling the City and Shoreditch, with strong food and some of the best-stocked fridges in London.

Make mine... Something punchy from Swedish brewer Omnipollo, which is well represented. The Zodiak IPA is a perfect take on the style.

When to visit When you’re overdue a good long session. There are over 100 beers to choose from, plus a separate cocktail bar in the basement.

A quick taster A buzzy bar in Crouch End, sister to Highgate’s Duke’s Head.

Make mine… Something from Wood Green’s House Brewery. Or be bold and try the bar’s craft beer cocktail.

When to visit Come early evening to bag a snug spot and soak up the atmosphere.

Southampton Arms

A quick taster A contender for the best pub in London: old-fashioned atmosphere, bang-up-to-date beers from independent UK breweries.

Make mine... A Magic Rock from the handpull – they’re rarely better.

When to visit When you’ve had enough of the modern world.

A quick taster No chalkboard witticisms, no pulled pork and no card payments – the absence of hipster affectations here is oddly refreshing.

Make mine... If it’s on, make a beeline for anything from pioneering Stockholm brewery Omnipollo. The Zodiak IPA in particular is uncommonly crisp and flavoursome.

When to visit The selection of nearby food options is close to overwhelming, making this the ideal spot for pre- and/or post-dinner drinking.

The Tankard

A quick taster Latest pub from the Draft House group taking over the spot where Charlie Chaplin used to visit.

Make mine... In the canned beer range, find the best from small-scale British breweries (notably Northern Monk, Magic Rock and Gypsy Hill Brewery).

When to visit If you fancy catching some rays, this pub has a roof terrace primed for sunny sessions.

Taproom SE8

A quick taster Deptford bar brought to you by Hop Stuff Brewery.

Make mine… Something from guest kegs from much-loved UK breweries – like Lost & Found and Wild Beer Co – or stick to local faves, Deptford’s Villages.

When to visit Pop down on Saturday when Deptford Bites is in full swing. Street food and beer are a match made in heaven.

A quick taster Meat, beer and suits in a basement.

Make mine… Anything from the in-house Essex Street Brewery.

When to visit A weekend, when it’s less heaving with drunken lawyers. Unless you are a drunken lawyer.

A quick taster Well-appointed, well-located bar offering a slicker way to do beer.

Make mine… Don’t baulk at the prices; those strong kegs are all well-chosen, so splash out on a half. Ours was the Left Hand Twin Sisters Imperial IPA at a hefty 9.6 percent.

When to visit When you’re with a big group and need a place where noise isn’t frowned upon.

Waterloo Tap

A quick taster A railway-arch pub from the folks behind London’s original craft beer pub, the Euston Tap .

Make mine... The taps often host some lesser-seen British breweries, with a focus on the north. Try something from Northern Monk if it’s on.

When to visit When you’ve got a train to catch – Waterloo is just a quick dash away. Best to order halves if you’re prone to losing track of time.

Well & Bucket

A quick taster Authentic East End pub, thoroughly modern beer.

Make mine… A Redchurch Bethnal Pale Ale: as local as it gets.

When to visit Straight after work so you can nab a table. Otherwise it’s standing room only.

Wenlock Arms

A quick taster One of the best pubs in London, full stop. And the beer is always brilliant.

Make mine... There’s often a mild pouring: take advantage and try this traditional but still relevant style.

When to visit It’s not really near much else, but it’s worth making a special trip here.

A quick taster It’s all about the excellent selection of beers from One Mile End (who used to brew in the basement) at this comfortable boozer.

Make mine… The Salvation! Pale is an easy entry point, but if you want to go a little crazy try the dizzying Directorate Stout (10% ABV).

When to visit When you’ve got the stamina for a proper sample session. The variety of styles on offer is almost overwhelming.

SeaWorld to host new barbecue and craft beer festival:  For the next two weekends, SeaWorld San Diego guests can enjoy 60 craft beers and barbecue options at its Bayside Brews & Barbecue Festival. Some of the participating craft beer companies will be AleSmith Brewing, Golden Road Brewing and Societe Brewing. There will be 13 different barbecue stations, including one that will have a pulled pork slider with blackberry barbecue sauce and mint cabbage slaw. There will also be a bourbon bar with four featured cocktails. International Children’s Film Festival: The 20th San Diego International Children’s Film Festival presents more than 30 short films and animations from across the world by filmmakers of all ages for an all-ages audience. Filmmakers and animators will discuss their work in filmmaking and animation. Films are from the U.S., Canada, Australia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ukraine and the Netherlands. The festival hosts 14-year-old Ukrainian filmmaker Marusya Shuvalova and will screen her short documentaries about life as a child in Ukraine during wartime. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Jazz at the Creek: This year’s theme, “New Beginnings,” features a lineup including Nathan East, world-renowned bass guitarist and founding member of the jazz group Fourplay, and Jonathan Butler, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, among other musicians. The event will be hosted by 95.7-FM on-air personality Kelly Cole with the Golden Voice, DJ John Phillips. This event is for ages 21 and older. Ukrainian Festival: The House of Ukraine will put on a Ukrainian Festival with food, music and dance. Free waterpark admission for service members: The Wave waterpark offers free admission for active-duty military, firefighters and law enforcement personnel on Sept. 1 with a valid ID. For some Sunday afternoon live tunes, head to Memorial Park in Freeport at 3 p.m. for a free performance by Country Current . The band is the only U.S. Navy country/bluegrass ensemble, and the show should be a foot-stomping good time.
