The SS87HF Safari Snorkel suitable for Toyota 200 Series Landcruiser 4x4 is designed to deliver a huge volume of the coolest and cleanest air possible into the stock air cleaner assembly of 2008 - 2011 4.7L Petrol 2UZ-FE engines.

With the huge air flow demands of each engine in the Toyota 2008 - 2011 4.7L Petrol 2UZ-FE 200 Series Landcruiser, Safari took the decision to design a snorkel system that raised the air intake to prevent ingesting harmful elements to the vehicles air cleaner.

Huge air flow is but one aspect of the ultimate in a snorkel suitable for Toyota 200 Series Landcruiser. The Safari snorkel air ram is designed to perform two very important roles. The most obvious is to funnel cool clean air into the snorkel body - but just as importantly, the Safari air ram acts as a highly efficient water separator to remove rain water from the incoming air stream - thus ensuring safe engine operation through even the most torrential tropical storms.

I came up with idea to install a slimline water tank vertical to replace the backrest of the rear seat of my extra cab ute. It was the perfect fit and is great. winch works well, bought it as a tow bar winch, being it wasnt designed for a tow bar is a minor issue to mount the controller and cable length. besides that its very strong.

The Safari SS87-HF snorkel is tough and stylish and has been designed to deliver a huge volume of the coolest and cleanest air possible into the stock air cleaner assembly of the mighty 200 Series Land Cruiser . With the variety of engine options available in the 200 Series, Safari took the decision to design a snorkel system that not only exceeded the air flow requirements of each engine configuration, but also satisfied the huge mass air flow demands of the powerful Dtronic enhanced intercooled twin turbo diesel V8 engine .

Close attention to the internal cross sectional profile and area, air velocity and flow path through each and every point along the entire length of the snorkel system ensures that the greatest air flow is achieved. The result is maximum engine performance and the best possible fuel economy. This of course applies to components that are not visible.

A short straight shot of air through the tough precision formed rubber joiner hose delivers air from the snorkel body directly into the stock air intake assembly. The result is maximum engine performance and the best possible fuel economy. In fact, the engine bay layout essentially remains unchanged for the maximum compatibility with other aftermarket accessories such as dual batteries etc.

This ensures that the 200 LandCruiser owner has the most flexibility possible in terms of installing additional under-hood accessories. Huge air flow is but one aspect of the ultimate in snorkel design. The Safari air ram is designed to perform two very important roles.

The most obvious is to funnel cool clean air into the snorkel body - but just as importantly, the Safari air ram acts as a highly efficient water separator to remove rain water from the incoming air stream - thus ensuring safe engine operation through even the most torrential tropical storms. In addition, the detachable Safari air ram can be rotated to any position.

This means great peace of mind for those who plan to travel in cold or high altitude conditions where heavy snow falls are anticipated. By rotating the air ram to face away from the prevailing wind/direction of motion, the air ram delivers additional protection from the choking effects of snow build-up inside the air intake.

The genuine Safari Snorkel body and air ram is manufactured to the highest standards in durable, UV stable, cross linked polyethylene material. In addition, the substantial material wall thickness delivers huge physical strength to ensure that the snorkel breezes through the toughest off-road conditions on the planet.

Plastic ain't plastic. Click here to learn about the importance of choosing a snorkel product manufactured from the correct material compound. Not unlike the UV rating of sunblock creams on humans; the UV number applied to Plastics being exposed to the sun's UV rays, indicates the level of protection and consequently, life of the snorkel. In order to deliver the 20 plus year life expected of Safari Snorkels, a specially compounded material is used to result in a rating of at least UV20.

This contrasts markedly to other brand snorkels manufactured outside Australia. Even when these foreign snorkels use material sourced from quality major international suppliers, (such as Mobil Exxon), the finished product typically has a UV rating of only 8 - far short of the UV20 rating required for long snorkel service life.

The Safari Snorkel system is supplied as a complete and comprehensive system that includes every nut, bolt and bracket required for installation - right from robust zero-corrosion stainless steel studs, self-locking nyloc nuts and large diameter anodized body washers through to the tough plastic A-pillar inserts.
