No Shoes Nation rejoice, Kenny Chesney is coming back to rock Kansas City next summer and he's bringing the Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, and Uncle Kracker.

Eight-time Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney announced that he will return to Kansas City for the eighth time taking the stage at Arrowhead Stadium for a big concert on Saturday, July 6, 2024.

Chesney has a special relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs , as he helped the Chiefs bring live music back to Arrowhead Stadium in 2011. Additionally, he holds the record for most performances at Arrowhead, with this year's concert marking the eighth time he's played the stadium.

In a news release from Arrowhead Events Chiefs President Mark Donovan said, "Kenny is a friend and helped bring live music back to GEHA Field at Arrowhead in 2011.  Through the years, his shows have always been the biggest parties of the summer and a proven fan-favorite event here in Kansas City."

Chesney's website is promising his Sun Goes Down 2024 tour will bring all the high-velocity energy and songs people know by heart back to America's favorite stadiums. Additional midwest stops on the Sun Goes Down 2024 tour include stadium shows in Denver at Mile High Stadium and Soldier Field in Chicago.

“I wanted a name that suggested – obviously – when all the good stuff starts to happen. The one thing I’ve learned about No Shoes Nation and these stadium shows is they start the good times early and they just keep it going,” Chesney says of his 2024 tour name in a post on his website. “But we all know, when the sun goes down, that’s when people really get loose and enjoy themselves."

Tickets will be available to the general public on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM CST through Ticketmaster's website and app.

A presale for Jackson County residents will begin at 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, and will take place online only. Jackson County purchasers must use a credit card with a billing code within Jackson County to participate. Presale tickets for Chiefs Season Ticket Members will go on sale on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM CST. Season ticket holders will receive an email with additional information.

The post How to Get Tickets to Kenny Chesney ’s 2023 Tour appeared first on Consequence .

Kenny Chesney is ready to return to the road for his “I Go Back 2023” tour, and No Shoes Nation will need to claim their tickets soon to join on the country superstar’s 21-date trip down memory lane.

In a statement, Chesney shared his reason for choosing his beloved 2004 single as the tour’s nostalgia-laden namesake, saying “That song is about holding all those things that shaped you very close, recognizing how special they are – and keeping them alive any way you can. So, I decided that rather than just go repeat what we did, I wanted to take this band and these songs to a lot of the cities we played on our way up! Let’s call the tour ‘I Go Back’ – and do just that.”

“I remember coming up, the craziness of so many of those dates,” he continued. “Markets where people were using chain-cutters to get onto the lawn because we were so sold out in the Carolinas… and that’s a kind of energy that should never be left behind. For all those fans – based on how good last year felt – I want to bring what was coming off that stage to you, where you are, so we can all have that kind of experience together!”

Get tickets here , and read on for more details including pre-sale dates.

Kenny & No Shoes Nation: A New Best in Kansas City

HERE AND NOW 2022 Sets A New Best in Kansas City 57,852 Pack Arrowhead Stadium for Another Record

It’s been four years – and over 1,000 days – since tickets went on sale, yet No Shoes Nation has shown up and shown out with a passion unlike any other time for Kenny Chesney’s Here And Now 2022 Tour . Having already shattered another record last week at Chicago’s Soldier Field, the four-time Country Music Association and four-consecutive-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year was coming into his seventh Arrowhead Stadium concert hot.

“Kansas City has always been a market where the fans come ready to sing, to scream, to make it a night to remember,” Chesney said after the show. “So, any time we’re playing here, we know it’s going to be unbelievable. But once again, I am blown away by how much heart, how much passion the fans have brought to what has been a major part of how No Shoes Nation came to be – and to continue building into the most amazing group of people I’ve ever encountered.”

From the first crowd-raising measures of “Beer In Mexico” through the final play-off of the groove-heavy “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” the crowd was on their feet, throwing their arms from side-to-side and often taking whole choruses of the songs on their own. Whether the reveling “We Do,” the worry-eschewing “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” originally a duet with David Lee Murphy, or the four-way power torque of “Living In Fast Forward,” “Young,” “Noise” and “American Kids,” the celebration mode remained in high gear for the crowd of 57,852 – besting Chesney’s 2018 personal record – after several hours in the sun.

Writing on Twitter directly after the show, Chesney posted, “So much of what has happened to us on the road started here. And it still feels the same. So connected because you care about this music and the experience of it all. Arrowhead, last night was so magical and I thank you.”

He expanded on that thought backstage, explaining, “It’s easy to say ‘I’ve seen it.’ Or for someone to feel like, ‘You know, there’s just so much going on…’ But every time we’ve gone to Kansas City, it feels like it’s the first time I’ve been there – and the way the fans sing along, you can tell how many of them have lived these songs in their own lives. That’s a pretty strong feeling: hearing people sing their lives back to us in these songs.”

As in many stadiums this summer, the man  The Los Angeles Times  called “the People’s Superstar” has kept the focus on the music and the feelings it generates. In the home of the Kansas City Chiefs, “Boys of Fall” offered a reverential turn on the No. 1 smash that honored the dignity and commitment of high school football players as well as the tender unexpected turns of “There Goes My Life” and the swaggering call to No Shoes Nation “We Do.”

Heading into Bozeman, Montana for a first ever play at Bobcat Stadium, Kenny Chesney’s  Here And Now Tour 2022  seems to be gathering momentum, magic and even more members of No Shoes Nation. Presented by Blue Chair Bay and fueled by MARATHON, it’s already been a long hot summer – and it shows no signs of slowing down between now and its August 26-27 finish at Boston’s Gillette Stadium.

Kenny Chesney Announces 2023 I Go Back Tour

kenny chesney tour 2023 kansas city

Kenny Chesney fans know what's at the top of their Christmas lists – concert tickets.

Chesney revealed Monday that he and "Half of My Hometown" duet partner Kelsea Ballerini would embark on the I Go Back Tour in 2023. Ticket presale starts Monday, November 28.

"'I Go Back' is a song about holding all those things that shaped you very close and keeping them alive any way you can," Chesney said on Instagram. "In 2023, I decided rather than just go repeat what we did on this summer's stadium tour, I wanted to take this band and these songs to a lot of the cities we played on our way up, call it the I Go Back Tour and do just that."

Cities on Chesney's I Go Back Tour include Wichita, Kansas; Lexington, Kentucky; Birmingham, Alabama; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Lincoln, Nebraska.

"Kelsea understands everything about where I come from because she's from there, too," Chesney said in a statement. Both singers are from near Knoxville, Tennessee. "She knows how hard it is to leave, how much you miss all those things that make you who you are... but also how the only way to chase the kind of dream she has is to do just that. It's a tough call when you love home the way we both do, but for kids like us, there was never really a choice."

Their shared background made their duet "Half of My Hometown" make sense to each of the singers.

"When she texted me to sing on the song she'd written with some of our friends, I said, 'Let me hear it,' knowing she knew everything about who I was," Chesney said in a statement. "As soon as I heard that first verse, I was in. And I have been one of Kelsea's biggest fans ever since. She's a writer, a girl who sings from her heart and isn't afraid to honor where she comes from. To me, there was no other choice for this tour."

Ballerini said that singing with Chesney is like "going home."

"Music has taken me so many incredible places," Ballerini said in a statement. "Around the world, singing with some of my heroes in pop, alternative and contemporary music, but singing with Kenny is going home. He was the only voice I heard on 'half of my hometown,' and when he came in, it's just like hitting the Knoxville city limits. So to be able to go out to those cities like the place he and I grew up with an artist who's accomplished what he has, it's a lot like going home."

"Half of My Hometown" won the 2021 Country Music Association Vocal Event and Video of the Year for and was nominated for 2022 CMA Single of the Year.

I Go Back 2023 is Presented by Blue Chair Bay Rum. American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets in select markets before the general public beginning Wednesday, November 23 at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, December 1 at 10 p.m. local time. Kenny Chesney Seating Chart

Much like the “bro-country” movement that Kenny Chesney helped to inspire, a Kenny Chesney concert is more of a party than a performance. These shows often feature a rich tailgating culture, similar to a college football game. Instead of lining up at the door like other concerts, Chesney fans tend to linger in the parking lot grilling and sharing a beer or two before the show. So you can expect to see Kenny perform at stadiums, fields and arenas like Gillette Stadium . The types of venues will have various seating and flexibility options. Accommodating more than 40,000 guests, the stadium offers premium suites, box seats, club seats, and standard stadium or arena-style seating. Let TicketSmarter assist you with finding the best seats at Arrowhead Stadium or any other arena Kenny Chesney may be performing using our helpful and interactive seating chart.

PITTSBURGH — A country music superstar is returning to Pittsburgh for the 12th time this weekend, and officials have announced policies for the events.

Kenny Chesney is performing at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday while on his Sun Goes Down Tour with special guests The Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker. But the concert isn’t the only festivity happening on the North Shore throughout the day.

Officials say in tandem with Chesney’s visit, there will be activities on Art Rooney Avenue starting at noon featuring Blue Chair Rum activities, an interactive Kenny Chesney tour bus, food and more.

Gates open at 4 p.m., with the concert starting at 5 p.m. in the main bowl. Ticketholders with floor need to enter through Gate 6 on Reedsdale Street.

Parking lots on the North Shore will open at 1 p.m. All lots surrounding the stadium will be open, and concert-goers are encouraged to use them — including the Champions Garage. Parking at the Champions Garage can be reserved through the Park Mobile app.

Officials also released other parking tips and recommendations:

  • Concert-goers can park downtown and ride the Light Rail Transit to Acrisure Stadium for free
  • Concert-goers can park at Station Square and ride the Gateway Clipper to the North Shore for $30
  • Most downtown parking garages charge between $6-20 for event-day parking. The price varies by garage. Prices at garages on the North Shore could reach as high as $80

There is a parking lot code of conduct concert-goers should abide by. Upon entering, everyone with get trash and recycling bags, and Acrisure Stadium management says all trash must be disposed of properly. There are also prohibited items or actions: solicitation, selling food or alcohol, glass containers, tents, personal port-a-johns, furniture and oversized vehicles.

Officials also want concert-goers to know that some roads will be closed for the Arts Festival and Pittsburgh Pride. When traveling to the North Shore, drivers won’t be able to use the 9th Street Bridge, Merchant Street or Fort Duquesne Boulevard between 6th Street and 9th Street.

Fans are encouraged to not bring bags to Acrisure Stadium, as the NFL’s Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for the show. If a bag is needed, stadium officials urge using a clear 1-gallon plastic bag or small handheld clutch.
