Travelling by bus over the Easter bank holiday? It's important to know that some services in the West Midlands will run limited services during the break.
A lot of people rely on buses to see their loved ones. Using public transport is also better for the environment as it allows more people travel at once.
Passengers are encouraged to plan their journeys ahead of time, to avoid any issues. Services may be affected or change on any given day.

Below is a guide on what you need to know...
- National Express
From Sunday, April 10 until April 23 there will be changes to the frequency of several National Express services across the West Midlands. This includes popular services from Five Ways and Solihull. X1-X5 and X12-X15 bus routes will all be affected.
A list of some of the routes affected:
- 1 | Acocks Green Village - Five Ways (via Springfield, Moseley & Edgbaston Cricket Ground)
- 4 | Birmingham - Solihull (via Sparkbrook, Tyseley, Acocks Green & Olton)
- 4A | Birmingham - Solihull (via Sparkbrook, Tyseley, Acocks Green, Gospel Oak & Shirley)
- 6 | Birmingham - Solihull (via Sparkbrook, Sparkhill, Hall Green & Shirley)
- 7 | Birmingham - Perry Common (via Newtown, Aston & Witton)
- 8A | Walsall - Pelsall (via Rushall)
- 8C | Birmingham Inner Circle (Clockwise) (via Saltley, Small Heath, Highgate, Five Ways, Jewellery Quarter, Hockley, Newtown & Aston Cross)
- 9 |Birmingham - Stourbridge ( via Bearwood, Quinton & Halesowen)
- 11A | Birmingham Outer Circle (Anticlockwise via via Erdington, Perry Barr, Bearwood, Harborne, Kings Heath & Acocks Green)
- 11C | Birmingham Outer Circle (Clockwise via Kings Heath, Cotteridge, Harborne, Perry Barr, Erdington & Acocks Green)
- 14 | Birmingham - Chelmsley Wood (via Duddeston, Saltley, Alum Rock, Stechford, Kitts Green & Tile Cross)

Diamond Bus
Good Friday: A Saturday service will operate
Saturday: A normal Saturday service will operate
Easter Sunday: A normal Sunday service will operate
Bank Holiday Monday: A Sunday service will operate
Tuesday: A normal weekday service will resumes
Arriva has announced it is experiencing service disruption across some parts of its network due to national staff shortages. Some timings and routes will be affected over the Easter weekend.

Passenger descriptions
Our passenger descriptions are designed to help you choose the right ticket for yourself or your fellow travellers.
Adult fares are applicable to all passengers aged 2+. Adults under the age of 16 are not permitted to travel alone on any European service unless accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over or they have a letter of authority from a parent or guardian.
Infants 0-1 Inclusive
Children aged under the age of 2, must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Unaccompanied children will not be carried.

West Midlands Bus Users
Easter 2024 service changes
Monday 25th to Thursday 28th March
Due to expected lower levels of traffic during the Easter school holiday period, NX and Diamond Buses will operate to special holiday timetables. Journey times will be shortened, and some high frequency services will see a slight decrease.
Friday 29th March (Good Friday)
Buses will operate Saturday levels of service.
Monday 1st April (Easter Monday)
Buses will operate to Sunday timetables.
Tuesday 2nd to Friday 5th April
NX and Diamond Bus will continue to operate revised holiday timetables.
Revised timetables are available to view and download from operator’s websites as well as from the TfWM website.
