The band opened for the pop star at shows in Paris, Stockholm and Berlin this summer as he toured his third album, ‘ Harry’s House ‘. In July the indie rock quartet’s final show saw lead singer and guitarist Ellie Rowsell join Styles on stage for a duet of her band’s 2021 single ‘No Hard Feelings’ .
“That duet was great. We didn’t have much time to practice but it felt like a great moment and it’s been a really nice memory I have to look back on,” she told Rolling Stone UK .
“I loved being on stage with Harry and his band. It was the last day of the tour and it felt like a really nice day.”
Drummer and backing vocalist Joel Amey added: “We’ve had the summer of our lives going around Europe with Harry and we’ve been super lucky. We feel very blessed for that. When we were making this record we hoped there’d be the chance for these songs to exist in the live setting and that’s happened and it’s been amazing experiences.
“It was incredibly warm and it felt like a small little family from Harry and his team. On paper it’s like OK, but it felt like it worked and his fans were incredible to us. Playing our songs to a crowd that we hadn’t done too much of before too in terms of age or certain places in Europe we hadn’t been too. A huge thanks to him.”

Meanwhile, Wolf Alice’s guitarist and backing vocalist Joff Oddie recently wrote an op-ed for NME regarding the ongoing problems for UK artists wishing to tour Europe post-Brexit , arguing that action is needed now for Britain to retain it’s “world-leading position” in music.
Last year the UK music industry spoke out together on how they had essentially been handed a “No Deal Brexit ” when the government failed to negotiate visa-free travel and Europe-wide work permits for musicians and crew. As a result, artists attempting to hit the road again after COVID found themselves on the predicted “rocky road ” for the first summer of European touring after Britain left the EU.
In July a study by Best For Britain – a group “pushing for closer relationships with Europe and the world” – showed that the number of British artists scheduled to perform in Europe as part of this year’s festival season had fallen by 45 per cent when compared to 2017-2019 (pre-Brexit).
NME recently published news of the industry insiders claiming that the first summer of touring post-pandemic proves that the ongoing situation is “strangling the next generation of UK talent in the cradle” , with Oddie explaining the true scale of the problem.

Harry Styles ended the European leg of his ‘Love on Tour’ last night (31 July) and brought out Wolf Alice vocalist Ellie Rowsell for a duet.
The London band were supporting Styles on the tour, which has run throughout this month. Styles joined Rowsell at the Altice Arena in Lisbon on the last night of the tour to perform ‘No Hard Feelings’, a song taken from their recent album Blue Weekend .
Styles’ current tour comes on the back of his third studio album, Harry’s House , which came out in May.

Earlier on in the tour, Styles had to cancel his scheduled performance in Copenhagen after three people were killed in a mass shooting near to the venue.
The singer had been set to perform at the Royal Arena in the Danish capital as part of the current European leg of his 2022 tour.
In a statement issued by Live Nation, however, the performance was “cancelled by the direction of the Danish Police” following a shooting that took place at Field’s mall – a shopping centre located approximately 500 metres from the venue. “We are all truly devastated by the events of today and our thoughts are with the victims and their families,” the message continued. “We are looking into future possibilities for the show, and hope to be able to give ticket buyers direct information as soon as possible.” Styles later shared his own statement on social media. “I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city,” he wrote.
‘Love on Tour’ carries on later this year, with a host of US shows including 15 nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Last week, Harry’s House was also nominated for the 2022 Mercury Prize .

Harry Styles duets with Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell in Lisbon as he wraps European leg of Love On Tour
Share this with
Harry Styles duetted with Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell on his support act’s track No Hard Feelings in Lisbon on Sunday night, much to fans’ delight.
The As It Was hitmaker wrapped the European leg of his Love On Tour jaunt at the Altice Arena in Portugal’s Capital City – and he had a special treat in store for the 20,000 gig-goers.
No Hard Feelings is from indie pop group Wolf Alice’s Mercury Prize-nominated third studio album Blue Weekend, and the duo produced a tender performance of the ballad, before hugging as the crowd exploded in cheers.
The former One Direction star, known for his headline-grabbing duets, such as with Shania Twain at Coachella , stormed through a 21-song setlist and notably played Fine Line for the second only time so far on this tour.
Only fans at Glasgow’s Ibrox Stadium on June 11, and the Lisbon crowd got to hear him perform the title track from his 2019 second solo album of the same name.
Harry, 28, will travel across to North and South America next month through to December, before heading Down Under to Australia and New Zealand to perform in support of his third solo album , Harry’s House.

The musician’s nods include Artist of the Year and Best Video for As It Was.
Harry has also been nominated for the Mercury Prize for the first time , featuring on the shortlist for the prestigious music prize and making its top 10 Albums of the Year list.
He will compete with the likes of Sam Fender’s Seventeen Going Under and Little Simz’s Sometimes I Might Be Introvert to be crowned the overall winner of the prize on September 8 at London’s Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith.
