The 2024 parking rates listed below are subject to change without notice. Additionally, several Hyannis hotels and motels are located within walking distance of the ferries and extend special parking privileges to their visitors. Some hotels in Hyannis offer free parking to registered guests, others charge a competitive fee. Hyannis also features several privately owned and operated parking lots. What a great experience! Ticket booth was very organized, on dock boarding was prompt and friendly and ship was clean and comfortable. Leaving from harwichport is so much easier than Hyannis - parking for the day is complimentary and very close to where you board. Would definitely recommend - can't think of anything I could ask to be different !

This is the way to go if you are taking a ferry to Nantucket. You avoid all the crowds at this port. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. A comfortable ride inside and out. The ferry is ship shape. Clean and rust-free. Pricing is good. The trip is fun and if you take the 7:15 return you will experience a great sunset cruise. Enjoyed this so much that I would never take another cruise liner.

The boat is clean and the ride is pretty but the staff is inconsiderate and wants visitors ' money with no concept of professionalism or customer service.

Photo of Ann P.

I love the concept, the free parking, the super nice crew but seriously, each and every time, we encounter rough seas. Today, it was seriously scary with huge swells and some rough riding conditions. On the way back, a group of about 10 spent the day at the brewery and continued on the way home. It was a drunken free for all. Not a nice day on the water but the crew made it pleasant.

This is my second trip on the ferry. I saw the forecast and knew it would be windy. I called to check if the ferry was running and all was confirmed. Upon arrival the attendant confirmed it would be "choppy". Nothing could have prepared me for the experience. I should mention I worked on a 286 ft Windjammer in the Caribbean and a 44 foot Beneteau so have seen rough seas. This was incredible. The boat was slamming into the waves, rocking and rolling. I was being lifted out of my seat the entire ride. It was white knuckle. Most people inside were vomiting. Thankfully the outbound trip was a fast 1 hour. Coming back it was not as wavy but quite a ride. The crew are very nice. Free parking and efficient. I would NOT recommend this transport in high winds, otherwise, it would get 5 stars.

Photo of Emily C.

We wanted to visit Nantucket for the day, but alas we were staying in Provincetown. That meant an hour drive to the ferry in Hyannis, $70+ per person round trip and $40 parking for the day. Hell no. Luckily, we found Freedom Cruise Line which sailed on out of Harwich Port (a LITTLE closer than Hyannis) and offered free parking for daytrippers. I reserved my tickets over the phone and picked 'em up when we arrived for the ferry. They don't charge your card until you arrive, which gives you time to cancel if necessary. Also, it's a high speed ferry so you get there in 75 minutes. Still expensive but better than the other options. The ride over was a bit choppy (but NOTHING like the experience outlined in Ann P's review, thank GOD) and on the way back, I slept like a baby. As Ebay would say, A+++++ POSITIVE TRANSACTION.

Visited: Wednesday - September 18, 2013 - 8:50 AM I arranged a Tuesday September 17 ferry ride to Nantucket for an 8:50 AM departure. The staff indicated that there was a same-day round trip charge of $ 74.00. I was assured that no charges would be assessed unless I appeared and the scheduled departure was honored. I had forgotten that a chilly, wind-packed day was forecast for Tuesday. I decided to re-schedule for the next day. I called early to re-schedule but, was informed that the Tuesday excursion was canceled due to high winds. They accepted my request for the Wednesday excursion. I arrived the next day at the recommended time of 8:10 - 8:20 AM for final arrangements. They re-affirmed the precise departure time of 8:50 AM and directed me to the cruise line located across the street. It was odd to pay at one site and hazardous to walk across a busy street to board the cruise ship. I had intentions of returning to my friend's house to retrieve my forgotten cell phone but the firm reminder of the 8:50 departure squelched that action. Sure enough, we disembarked promptly at 8:50. I purchased a bottle of water for $1.50 and poor tasting coffee for $2.00. The crew was friendly and accommodating. Our captain offered a barely discernible greeting over the public address system. The drone of the diesel engine induced a slightly sleepy state. We arrived in Nantucket as promised. It was a relaxing and event free experience. We were asked to return to the same location about 15 - 20 minutes early for the 4:10 return to Harwich Port. At exactly 4:10 PM, we disembarked from Nantucket and arrived precisely at the scheduled time of 5:30 PM. I believe the round trip cost of $74.00 steep but, considering the professionalism and efficiency exhibited by the crew, it is a price I don't regret paying.

This is the first ferry I've been on. And for a first impression, this is the coolest ferry ever. My tip to you nantucketers, around the time the sun is setting, sit on the top deck to get astonishing views

Photo of Stephano M.

Staff are unskilled in how to book and administer tickets, gave incorrect address and ran credit card twice! I did not use ferry due to wrong address. I called several times to get help and contacted bank for the over charge. Opened a dispute with bank and tried to work it out with the same brain dead staff. I finally spoke to owner and he laughed at me, saying the banks are on his side, asking me not to ever use his ferry! Bank of America said it's clear I was over charged twice but there are 2 more months for merchant to respond. Horrible rude owner lying & laughing at me he is permitted to overcharge and not refund a never used ticket! Website paints a different picture. Staff are useless! Be warned!!!
