Aaron was a great host, we loved all 4 wineries. We definitely will use off the vine when we return back back to Fedricksburg. Thanks for a great day!
Aaron was a great host to our bachelorette party of 14 people. He picked us up at our B&B, took us to 3 great wineries, and returned us...even stopping at a convenience store for us on the way back home. He was extremely gracious and accommodating and I couldn't recommend him highly enough!
I called twice and was promised a call back, once as soon as he got back to the office, and the next day, in five minutes. He never called back and seemed very frazzled. I'm glad he's NOT driving me around!
Overall my husband and I had a great experience! When booking, Off the Vine was lacking a bit in the communication and the process was a little sketchy in that they had my name down wrong, did not make me pay a deposit when my sister did the weekend before, and do not send out confirmation emails or anything like that. But when the driver picked us up, the van was air conditioned well, transportation was smooth, a meat and cheese board was provided, and overall it was a great day! I recommend, but would definitely call to confirm your reservation the day before since the booking process is a bit unorganized.
David was a fabulous host for our wine tour! He was informative and very flexible. Had a fun time!
Aaron was a great help as we organized a shuttle to transport guests between two locations at our wedding venue. Not only was he open to something outside of the usual tour routine, but he also provided a great price, planned to be there early, and ultimately was amazingly flexible when our plans changed. Having such a responsive and personal touch is not something to be taken for granted!
We used this tour company for my friend's bachelorette party a few months ago and we could not have had a better time or service! Eric picked my group up at our B&B house right on time, met us with mimosas (it's a bachelorette party after all!), was energetic and made everyone excited to start the day, and was very professional as we hopped around from winery to winery. There's a variety of different packages to choose from and special pricing available for different occasions. We loved that we had a variety of wineries to choose from to customize our day. Eric handled all of the logistics and we got to enjoy the ride. I would highly recommend this company for any occasion or group!
Aaron took great care of us on our tour. The selection of wineries was great! We had a great experience.

Exploring Historic Fredericksburg
With over 100 vineyards and beautiful wineries in the area, it's no wonder that Fredericksburg area wine tours are a top attraction for travelers. Our popular grapes are those grown in the European regions of Tuscany Italy, Provence, and France, as well as Spanish and Portuguese varietals. These include Viognier, Tempranillo, Mouvedre, Marsanne, Rousanne and Malbec. The Texas Hill Country is also becoming famous for its blends.
History buffs have plenty to explore in small-town Fredericksburg. Founded by German immigrants in 1846, you'll see the German influence in the architecture, culture, and food. Fredericksburg Texas is one of the few remaining present day German cultural communities in the US. The 36th President of the United States was born and raised here, and the Lyndon B Johnson National and State historical parks are dedicated to the preservation of early Texas life as they offer a look at the life and times of LBJ and his wife Lady Bird Johnson.

* Pro Tip- If you would prefer to sit outside (live music often on Saturdays), we recommend switching to the self-guided tastings, in which the staff will give you all wine in advance, allowing you to sit outside to enjoy.
Becker Vineyards
Becker Vineyards Estate Tasting Room was opened to the public in 1996. The large estate winery produces a large variety of wines, very well-known in the Texas wine industry. Becker Vineyards is sure to have wine for everyone at your party. Becker does not do set tasting menus, and instead offers you tasting tokens to try what you prefer! You can do your tastings standing at the indoor bar, outdoor bar, or seated at the tables under the covered patio. You will take your token up to either tasting bar to get your next sample.
Note: it can get very crowded, we recommend visiting this location first on your tour (and on a Friday, if possible!). The grounds are beautiful, we also recommend adding on more time to your tour to spend more time here with a glass of wine (not included) following your tasting.
Additionally, Becker offers complimentary wine tours. If you are interested in visiting for the complimentary tour, please let our team know. Additional time is required.
Signor Vineyards
Signor Vineyards has, arguably, the most beautiful outdoor area in all of Fredericksburg. The winery offers only outdoor seating. Signor Vineyards has wines from Texas, as well as from Oregon, offering a great variety. Wine tastings feature four wines, a mix of reds and whites. Check out Joanna’s Market while you are there for shopping and snacks (sandwiches, meats, cheeses, etc.).
Please note that all seating is outdoors, largely under shade or covered porch. However, if it rains, we will have to find an alternate winery.
Max of 10 on Saturdays
The Edge Winery
The Edge is a winery at The Resort at Fredericksburg, offering beautiful views of the Pedernales River. The Edge tasting room features wines from award-winning English Newsom Cellars. The tasting room is large, offering plenty of indoor seating, as well as some outdoor seating with beautiful views for a glass of wine or bottles.
This is a great place for larger groups looking for Instagram-worthy photos, as well as a lunch stop ( view menu ). Some of our part guests have described it as a “country club” feel with beautiful scenery, good wine and good food.
Salvation Spirits- Speakeasy
Looking for something other than wine to end your tour at? Salvation Spirits is a Speakeasy hidden in plain sight on the 290 wine trail. Specializing in vodka and gin cocktails, you will receive a cocktail of choice if booking with Texas Tipsy Tours. The setting is intimate and truly gives the “speakeasy” vibes with a secret gate code required for entry.
* Speak with Texas Tipsy Tours about requesting specials or customizing your experience for an additional fee.
Note: For parties of 9 and above, seating will be on the outdoor patio. They have porch screens and ceiling fans. The entire patio features new couches, chairs, and tables.
Hilmy Cellars
Hilmy Cellars is not only a winery, but a working farm. Hilmy’s belief is that wine is grown in the vineyard. 80% of Hilmy’s wine is sourced from 100% Texas grown fruit, with other vintages from their Hilmy a.k.a label coming from Washington and California. Hilmy’s Modern-Industrial tasting room has the feel of a boutique winery with highly rated, bold, complex wines.

This is a winery you will want to spend time out grabbing a glass of wine after your tasting: taking pictures with the donkeys on property, playing yard games, and enjoying the frequent live music and events. Hye Meadow is a full production facility and offers additional experiences, including a tour of production.
Feature wines: Full Monte, 100% Montepulciano and other Meditteranean-based red wines
Cheese & Charcuterie boards and other wine bites available.
Fredericksburg Wineries for small groups:

French Connection
This winery has the same wine-maker as Calais Winery, Benjamin Calias, but features Rhone varietals (Syrah, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Mourvedre, etc.). French Connection boasts beautiful views of the hill country from atop a hill. Their French rustic-chic tasting room takes advantage of these views, even inside, with their windows and tasting bar that looks out over their property. With great seating outside and yard games, you will want to stay afterward and enjoy a glass of wine on the patio.
* Groups of 6 Max
Featured Wines: Rhone Varietals
Great charcuterie board available.
Calais Winery
Prepare to taste premier, quality, 100% Texas wine from 100% Texas-grown fruit from this small, boutique winery. Calais specializes in bold Bordeaux varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and rarely Carménère). Your tastings at Calais is an intimate tasting experience in the “wine cave”, amongst barrels of wine. Don’t expect to stay and stick around for a glass of wine afterward. Calais Winery is for tastings only, but I promise that you won’t want to leave without purchasing a few bottles. Calais offers set reservations for small groups on the hour, but they do book up quickly!
* Groups of 4 Max
Featured Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varietals
Food not available.
Siboney Cellars
Siboney Cellars is a newer winery on the Fredericksburg Wine Trail, located in Johnson City. Female winemaker, Barbara Lecuona, and her partner and husband, Miguel, are doing phenomenal things in the Texas wine industry. Their tasting room is modern and beautiful, with views of the vineyard atop a hill.
* Sorry, No bachelorette parties!
Airis’ele Vineyards
A new winery in Fredericksburg was founded by two families with roots in the hospitality and wine industry. The tasting room offers different seating arrangements that offer a comfortable and laid-back atmosphere: bar seating, small table-side tastings, and larger groups will be seated on the covered patio outside. They have a variety of wines, most from the Texas High Plains, but some varietals are also from Washington and California. 10/10 on the Texas Malbec!
Max of 6 guests
Ron Yates Winery
A strong advocate in offering wine made from 100% Texas-grown grapes, offering you a true taste of Texas terroir. The tasting room offers a small bar, and a few standing tables. There is also a covered patio that does not require reservations, to enjoy wine by the glass of bottle.
Request for Changes
The wineries above are recommended due to the great experience, wine, atmosphere, etc., that are offered to you.
Do you have another particular winery in mind?
When planning your Fredericksburg wine tour, we know you may come across certain wineries that are “must visits”. Our team is happy to discuss possible changes to your itinerary. Please schedule a call with our team , or send an email to [email protected] for further information. Please note that additional fees may be applicable.

- Signor Vineyards- No reservations
- Heath Sparkling Wines/Grape Creek- May require written permission from the winery obtained by you.
* NOTE: We do not have the option to customize our set of four-hour tours.
What’s for Lunch?
Most groups prefer to maximize their time spent at the wineries, and instead eat at one of the wineries they visit or plan to snack on heavy wine bites offered at most of the locations. However, your Fredericksburg Wine Tour can be customized to you. We can customize the wineries you visit, as well as your lunch stop.
Your tour time does not include time to eat lunch. Please note that many locations offer quick snacks, such as charcuterie, that will not need additional time. Additionally, your vehicle will include an ice chest with ice, so you are welcome to bring your food. However, if you plan to eat lunch at one of the venues (or make an extra stop), we will need to add additional time, at least 14 days before your tour date.
If you are looking for more than just quick snacks, please email or schedule a call at www.calendly.com/texastipsytours, as time will need to be added to your tour at least 14 days before your tour date.
