Visitors flock to Adavi tourism site as sky clears up
As the intense rain in the past few days took a break, visitors have begun flocking to the Adavi eco-tourism spot in Pathanamthitta district. The clear skies during the monsoon have acted as a spur for tourists who are arriving at the site in droves.
On Sunday, visitors who came with their families in tow enjoyed themselves with activities in the Kallar River. Some took rides in the coracle while the more adventurous among them waded through the knee-deep water to reach the other side.
The Kallar river splits into two here and children can have fun on the enchanting shore of the islet that is carpeted with smooth, spherical stones carved up by water. The tourists get to admire the rich biodiversity of Adavi to their heart’s content, splash around in the shallow water of the Kallar River, and take selfies with their cell phones, making the holiday a memorable one for all.
