This tour was amazing! Every detail from hotel pickup until the return was planned and communicated perfectly. Our guide Jackie was excellent. He provided guidance on the 2 hikes that we did (Phra That Cave and Erawan Falls). If you're looking to visit this area, I highly recommend booking with Thai National Parks.
The Phra That Cave is a very steep hike. Although relatively short, it includes a lot of stairs to reach the top. If you're in moderate to good physical shape, I highly recommend this hike.
However, the gem of this tour was Erawan Falls. This set of cascading waterfalls is absolutely amazing. Jackie led us to all 7 tiers, which was somewhat strenuous at times. However, you can reach several lower tiers with minimal effort if you don't want to hike the entire falls.

My group and I had such a pleasant experience on our tour. We booked about 4 days in advance, and communication came extremely fast and answered all our questions. Our driver Aod was wonderful and showed up early, stopped when we needed to for a restroom and snack break, and dealt with all the traffic to and from Bangkok. Our tour guide was Fang, and he was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the landscape and its history, and was kind enough to take lots of pictures of us. He gave us plenty of time at each destination to explore and take photos, and I couldn’t recommend him enough.

We had a wonderful day hiking and swimming at Erawan falls. Our guide, Fang, was fantastic! He went at our pace, took lots of pictures of us, and even carried our life jackets for us on the way up, and my daypack on the way down (when I was wearing my life jacket). He told us about the plants and animals in the park as well. Erawan is a long day trip from Bangkok, but definitely worth it. It’s beautiful and peaceful.

Jackie was very friendly and explained everything very well. I highly recommend this tour!

Great day. Picked up on time from hotel in comfortable, air conditioned van, and picked up our lovely guide in Kanchanburi. The waterfalls are incredibly beautiful and we loved being able to swim in them. The walk up to the different levels is easy enough, just hot! Saw lots of lizards and colourful butterflies. We stopped for lunch at a Riverside cafe (delicious selection of food), then had a bonus visit to the bridge over the river Kwai and a little long boat trip before heading back to Bangkok. A great day out and highly recommend.

Andy was a great tour guide! He's certainly speedy, but we were able to see a lot of stuff and he's fun along the way! Lunch was also a huge spread that we weren't able to even eat all of.

Erawan Waterfall – A Natural Paradise
Named after the three-headed white elephant from Hindu mythology, the Erawan Waterfall is renowned for its emerald green pools and lush jungle surroundings. As you climb up the trail, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views, tranquil swimming spots, and a sense of serenity that makes this tour a perfect getaway from the city’s hustle and bustle.
Interesting Fact: The top tier of the waterfall is said to resemble the head of Erawan, the mythical elephant, which is how the waterfall got its name.
The 7 Levels of Erawan Waterfall
- Hlai Keun Lung : The first tier, where you can dip your feet in the cool water while tiny fish nibble away dead skin, offering a natural “fish spa” experience.
- Wang Matcha : This level features a beautiful pool that’s perfect for swimming, surrounded by lush greenery.
- Pha Nam Tok : A larger waterfall that cascades down a wide rock face, creating a refreshing mist in the air.
- Oke Nang Phee Sue : A smaller, serene pool, ideal for relaxing and taking in the beauty of the forest.
- Bue Mai Long : This tier has several pools where you can swim or simply cool off in the clear water.
- Dong Prucksa : A less crowded level with a peaceful atmosphere, great for those looking to escape the crowds.
- Phu Pha Erawan : The final tier and the most stunning, where you can admire the impressive cascade that resembles the head of the mythical Erawan elephant.
Pro Tip: For the best experience, wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring a swimsuit, as you’ll definitely want to take a dip in the pools!

It takes a bit more than three hours from Bangkok to this beautiful seven-tiered Erawan Waterfall in Kanchanaburi province. It is located in Erawan National Park which covers an area of 550 square kilometers. You will find several nice "swimming pools" on various levels. Be sure to pack your towels and swimwear if you plan to take a swim, changing facilities are available. The most beautiful fall is on the third level, but you can always make yourself proud by reaching Level 7.
We will have a good lunch at a nearby restaurant after we leave the falls. We could make some stop on the way back, such as the world famous Bridge on the River Kwai. But if you prefer to enjoy the whole day at the waterfalls, that is fine too.
This private tour from Bangkok is organised exclusively for you, no others will join. You will be in trusted hands with our professional driver and English speaking licensed tour guide.

Another very enjoyable journey to Erawan Waterfalls with Mrs Air. Climb to the 7th level was the tour highlight. Thanks for all the attention and good care. All has been very appreciated. Thank you!
Ness – August 23, 2022
We spent the whole day with Air and the driver. Erawan falls are at 3 hours from Bangkok. I was impressed by how Air managed the tour. She took us right up to the last fall for a swim and then we came down and had another 2 more swims. We had a nice lunch and went to the Kwai bridge. We also did a boat tour at the perfect golden hour.
LJ – February 29, 2020
Ms Air and Mr Sak were a fantastic guide and driver who made sure we had what we needed throughout the entire day. They even put up with our snoring for hours and let us sleep comfortably during the drive. It was really comforting to know that we were safe and guided each step of the way. It made our day stress-free and not so tiring after a full day out. The restaurant we stopped at had local food products that we were so happy to bring home. There are many things you wouldn’t know without a guide. I highly recommend booking!
Erik C – January 16, 2020
This was hands down 5-star service from start to finish. Communication was very prompt and informative during set up and the days leading up to the tour. The day of the tour could not have been better. Our driver, Don, and our tour guide, Air, could not have been any nicer and patient. Air fed us more than we could eat and kept asking if we wanted more at lunch and throughout the drive for snack time. And it wasn’t normal tour food / buffets, it was quality Thai food. Erawan Falls themselves were gorgeous and highly recommended as a MUST visit, especially if you like waterfalls. They are so unique compared to other waterfalls around the world. Air was very patient and helpful on the hike up to all 7 tiers, as my wife is not as physically fit and had to be helped through several steps and take a couple breaks along the way. Pray that you get Air and Don should you book this tour, you will be in very good hands. My only regret is that I didn’t have more cash on me to tip them more. It was worth every penny / baht!! I really cant say enough good things about this tour and our guide and driver.
Fitori – January 4, 2020
Have very good car with super driver and excellent tourguide Air ( five star).
Jminko – December 19, 2019
We loved the falls, the tour was great and the transportation was perfect. Mr. Tee was a great guide, we really enjoyed him.
Nicole P – October 9, 2019
We had Air and Mr A as our tour guide and driver and they could not have been any better. They were literally such a fabulous duo! We loved them sooo much. I would recommend doing this tour over and over again just to hang out with Air. She was so lovely and knowledgeable about everything Thailand! She took us to such an amazing lunch spot after our hike, which my husband and I still rave about!! Thanks again so much, this was worth every penny!
Jessi – September 20, 2019
Honestly one of my main highlights as part of my trip to Thailand. I knew the waterfalls would be beautiful, but it was something else. It was truly magical and I was so blissfully happy. It’s beautiful and not too busy. It is a trek up the to the seventh tier but I enjoyed it, it becomes so much more natural the higher you go and the waterfall at the very top is worth it!! My tour guide Air was brilliant! Picked me up on time, was so courteous, took plenty of pictures of me, which was so handy as I was a solo traveller, so I appreciated it immensely. We got on so well and she was the loveliest companion to have for the day, she told me so much and so I learnt a lot also.
The most amazing place to swim in natural beauty. I can’t wait to go back!!
Simba – June 19, 2019
Great guide and AMAZING tour!!
Kyle A – June 10, 2019
Excellent customer service, the food was amazing and the whole experience was catered to exactly what we wanted. The tour guide went above and beyond what we expected and I definitely would recommend this package to anyone. Thanks so much for everything guys!
Mario C – April 9, 2019
Excellent full day experience. Great waterfalls. Ms. Air bought us coffee and some desserts on the way to the waterfalls which was very kind, water also included. The tour is very good, the waterfalls and the forest are beautiful. The lunch was excellent. Ms Air ordered many different dishes, so we could try some traditional food that you can not find on other places.
Raine – January 27, 2019
Ride was very long, certainly worth the drive. Marissa made the trip very enjoyable by giving us insight and information about Thailand along the way. Marissa has a wonderful personality and was easy to be with.
Debyom – January 7, 2019
Fabulous day tour! We were picked up in our own private mini van which was extremely comfortable. Throughout the trip we were provided with water and snacks. For lunch we were able to choose a selection of dishes off the menu at a lovely restaurant overlooking a dam. The food was lovely. We were driven to the river where we boarded a boat to take us to the bridge. We had free time to walk over the bridge and wander around the village. From there we went to the waterfalls which were spectacular – my husband swam in a couple.
Hans J – October 7, 2018
The waterfalls are impressive. As this is not my first tour with BKK Tours I very much have liked the professional approach by Michiel and his team in providing the best tour possible. I would definitely book a private tour again! The small difference in price is very much like winning a jackpot- easy alteration of program, extended stays at interesting places, skipping uninteresting places – it’s all at your demand!
Selena – July 27, 2018
The hike was a bit tough but we managed to see most of the waterfalls (made it to Level 5) and it was breathtaking 🙂 I would definitely do it again. They were also kind enough to make a detour to Wat Sampran, which is something that you only see in fairy tales.
Hristu – March 2, 2018
Very good escape from Bangkok for a day. We loved our guide Ms Onn and driver Sak! Thank you for the beautiful day out despite it was heavy raining at times 🙂
Chai – October 4, 2017
Ms Oi was the best tour guide we could ever ask for!
Sarah C – July 22, 2017
We LOVED our trip to Erawan National Park! Ms Sea was the best guide! She was really kind and knew so much about the area. It was nice having a real Thai person take us around and explain to us what we were seeing. We loved having lunch with her because she ordered traditional food that we would never have ordered on our own! We highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to experience some of the most beautiful parts of Thailand!
Hayley H – July 5, 2017
The tour was great! The van was incredibly comfortable and welcoming, our guide Ms Sea was very sweet and knowledgeable, and the waterfalls were truly amazing! This was the best day of our vacation so far.
Emily, Erin, and Danae – May 5, 2017
Our experience at Erawan National Park was definitely more enjoyable and smooth with the help of Air and the BKK Tours team. We learned a lot of local knowledge and had an amazing lunch with a view. Thank you!
