Having played and coached football for so many years he has an in depth knowledge of players, teams, tactics and formations and the history of lots of premier league and European clubs. As our education manager and tour guide clients get to spend time with somebody that has a true passion for the beautiful game, with the knowledge and expertise to share it in a fun and a dynamic way.

Premier League clubs are already turning their attention to preseason plans and preparations for the 2024-25 campaign.

Liverpool , Manchester United and Arsenal have announced they will be doing their preseason touring in the United States while playing a series of head-to-head fixtures against one another. July 31, in Philadelphia, will be the first time that Liverpool and Man United have met in the USA since 2018, when they played in front of 101,000 fans at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
Manchester City and Chelsea have each announced they will participate in the Soccer Champions Tour, which will be played in six cities in the USA this summer, alongside Real Madrid, Barcelona and AC Milan. Man City will face AC Milan and Barcelona in the first two games of the collection, and Chelsea will close it out against Real Madrid. Both teams will also have other friendlies across the USA.
Aston Villa have also announced they will be returning to the United States this summer, with a friendly against reigning MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew set for July 27. While West Ham, Wolves and Crystal Palace are all playing games in the USA this summer too.
We will update the list below when Premier League clubs announces their 2024-25 preseason fixtures in the coming weeks and months.

England is one of eight national teams to have won the FIFA World Cup, which they did in 1966 when they hosted the finals. Here are the 2024-25 Premier League Season Dates
Soccer champions tour 2024.
The Soccer Champions Tour is back for another year, and they have a stacked five-team tournament planned. The tournament will feature AC Milan , Barcelona , Chelsea , Manchester City , and Real Madrid . The Soccer Champions Tour will feature games in New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, Orlando, Charlotte, and Chicago. Check out the Soccer Champions Tour website for the full schedule.
Arsenal USA Tour Summer 2024
The Gunners are currently set to face off against Manchester United in Los Angeles at Sofi Stadium on July 27.
They will then take on Liverpool on July 31 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA with it being the first time the two clubs have faced off in the US.
Aston Villa USA Tour Summer 2024
Aston Villa will be playing in the US for the second year in a row, in two matches at the end of July.

(That term was coined by the Brazilian player Pele, by the way, not an Englishman).
Men’s Premier League football is incredibly popular in England – it’s no exaggeration to say that many fans will do just about anything to see their team play. And would give anything to see them win too.
The game as we know it today is said to have originated in English private schools and involves teams of 11 men or women – though there is also an informal variation known as ‘five-a-side’. Previously seen as a ‘man’s game’, the English ladies’ team are now climbing up the rankings after their 2022 Euros tournament win.
At the time of writing, UEFA rankings show a number of English teams in the top ten, including Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United. Arsenal is another popular and successful club, and like Chelsea is London-based. On a national and global scale, these are the five most popular clubs. Let’s start at the very beginning. If you want to bag some EPL tickets – aka English Premier League tickets – then you’re going to have to be smart. So where better to grab some advice than from sources including the EPL themselves?
- Plan well ahead
We really cannot stress this one enough! There’s no way – barring a miracle, really – that you’ll get Premier League tickets within a fortnight or even a month of the game. Even six months or more is often not enough time!
- Only buy from club sites, ticket offices or authorised partners
Never, ever buy football tickets from an unofficial reseller. Why? Well, the main reasons are that these unauthorised ticket touts are out to rip you off, pure and simple. But money and fakes aside, there’s another good reason not to do that.
Resellers are notorious for placing unwitting ticket buyers in an undesirable position. This may be on the opposite home or away team’s side, or close to people who are known for causing trouble. There’s potentially more at stake here than simply losing a few pounds sterling, so stay away from sources that are not officially authorised.
- It’s who you know
Many English Premier League tickets are all about who you know. If you do have contacts in the UK, then for goodness sake do ask around before you travel. A friend of a friend or a professional colleague might just know someone who was willing to pay the full Man City, Liverpool or Arsenal season ticket price to secure their seats.
Club members and those who’ve accrued loyalty points are far more likely to be able to help you secure tickets for that all-important match.
- Look for a grade C match
Most English football clubs will place games in priority order, categorising them as grade A, B or C. A grade C match is far more likely to have available tickets than a grade A one, with grade B falling somewhere between the two.
If the club you want to see are playing against another popular team, then that’s only going to make securing tickets even more of a challenge!
Though the ladies’ teams are becoming increasingly popular, considering both men’s and women’s matches will also clearly give you more of a chance.
- Get to know your club
As the EPL points out, each club has its own way of working. You should be able to find out about their ticket policies either via the website or by getting in touch with the club. Forewarned is forearmed!
Keep an eye on their social media pages too – you never know what info might pop up there.
- Buy a hospitality package
Officially authorised hospitality packages can provide you with another way in. These can include other services such as parking, food and drink, programmes and souvenirs.
- Go for second-best
If you can’t quite get to see your club in action, then why not book the next best thing? Which is to take a tour of the grounds. This often includes an insider peek at all facilities, including spots like the home and away changing rooms.
These can be fabulous experiences for any football fan in their own right – and can certainly help to make up for the disappointment caused by failing to secure tickets.

Buying Premier League Tickets in England – FAQs
Stick with the advice of the EPL and only ever buy tickets from a club’s ticket office or website, or via their authorised partners. All clubs will be able to provide a list of these.
Never buy tickets from unauthorised sources – or ticket touts as they’re locally known. These could be fake or may never materialise at all, and could cost astronomical amounts. They may also place you on the rivals’ side of the stadium, which is not the best place to be.
It is very difficult, with many top level English clubs, to get hold of tickets if you’re not a member. But it doesn’t hurt to ask around, and enquire with the club themselves.
This membership requirement does of course make the clubs more money, and also helps them to keep track of the fan base – and on top of demand.
You can expect Premier League tickets to cost around £100 sterling each – or more. This is around USD $120. Membership is often required to secure seats, and this also comes at a considerable cost per season.
A hospitality package with other elements such as food and drinks, parking or souvenirs may cost more than this. For a bucket-list experience, though, many fans consider this money well spent.
The demand for Premier League tickets outstrips supply, it’s as simple as that. Even the latest and biggest new stadiums cannot provide enough seats for every fan who wants to see their team play live.
The closer to the match it gets, the more difficult this becomes. And it’s even more challenging when two big name teams are on the bill – such as Man City vs Man United, for instance.
The reality is that you might get lucky and secure seats to a really exciting match – but you may well not be so fortunate. Planning early and considering the alternatives well in advance is the best tactic, then at least you may have some chance of seeing the stadium and museum if not the players in action.
Buying a hospitality package (from an authorised source) or a stadium tour may well be your best bet if you want to at least see inside the world of English Premier League football and learn about their history.

Philadelphia is hosting the English Premier League for the second summer in a row. Here’s what to know.
P hiladelphia’s status as a top international soccer destination continues to rise as the English Premier League’s top teams head to the City of Brotherly Love.
Arsenal and Liverpool will face off Wednesday, July 31, at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field. The match is part of the Rivals in Red USA 2024 Tour , which features three preseason games between members of the Premier League’s most prominent clubs, known as the “Big Six.” In addition to the Philadelphia game, Los Angeles will host an Arsenal vs. Manchester United match and Columbia, S.C., will host Manchester United vs. Liverpool.
In March, the U.S.A. tour’s promoter told The Inquirer that the Philadelphia game was already sold out . “We’re excited but not surprised by the response we’ve received with a sellout in Philadelphia,” the managing director for North America of TEG Sport, Matt Kontos, said at the time.
Since then, tickets have become available again on Ticketmaster and the secondary ticket market .
Here’s what you need to know.
When is the Arsenal vs. Liverpool game in Philadelphia?
The Arsenal-Liverpool game is on Wednesday, July 31, at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field located at 1 Lincoln Financial Field Way, Philadelphia, Pa. 19148.

Philadelphia’s Arsenal-Liverpool game follows their neck-and-neck race to the top of the Premier League’s 2023-24 season , which saw Arsenal finish second, followed by Liverpool in third. Recently, Arsenal made it to the Champions League quarterfinal for the first time in 14 years and Liverpool won England’s Carabao Cup tournament, beating out all 92 clubs of the Premier and English Football Leagues.
Expect a competitive match. But the biggest stars might not be there. Many players are potentially resting from the European Championship and Copa América tournaments, which ended this past weekend.
How to get tickets to the Arsenal vs. Liverpool game in Philadelphia
Ticketmaster is the official ticket seller, at ticketmaster.com . At the time of publishing, tickets were going for around $130 all the way up to $1,250.
There are also tickets on resale sites like SeatGeek and Vivid Seats , which are currently selling at a low of around $130.
How to avoid ticket scams
When buying tickets, the safest option is to go through the official ticket seller.
If buying tickets on a resale site, it’s safer to buy tickets on popular, well-known resale sites, like StubHub, SeatGeek, and Vivid Seats. If there are any problems, those sites will have better customer support available than lesser-known resellers.
On Google searches for tickets, be wary of advertisements disguised as organic search results. Google places paid advertisements that look identical to regular search results at the top of the webpage. These ads will have the word “Ad” next to the listing — scroll down past these ads and go right to the real results.
Ticket scams and price gouging can be reported to the Better Business Bureau and the state attorney general’s office.

Wrexham usa tour 2024: schedule, tickets, stadiums and more, share this article.
Wrexham is heading back to the United States this summer.
Boosted by the popularity of the hit series “Welcome to Wrexham,” the Welsh side played four matches in the U.S. last summer.
Now, Wrexham will return for a three-game tour as it prepares for the 2024-25 season, which will take place in League One after the Red Dragons clinched a second straight promotion.
Wrexham will begin its tour with a match against Bournemouth at Harder Stadium on the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara.
It will then face Chelsea on July 24 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The two sides met last year in Chapel Hill, N.C., with Chelsea winning 5-0.
Finally, Wrexham will face the Vancouver Whitecaps in a homecoming for owner Ryan Reynolds, a Vancouver native.

What to expect from Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the United States
For the third consecutive summer, Arsenal are heading to the United States as part of their pre-season preparations.
They will return to Los Angeles, where they played Barcelona last year, for two friendlies before heading to Philadelphia for the trip’s third and final fixture. The Athletic explains who they are going to face, which players are likely to go on the tour, and whether there might be any new faces among the travelling party.
Who are Arsenal playing on this tour?
Mikel Arteta’s team face fellow Premier League clubs Bournemouth and Manchester United in the two matches in Los Angeles, the former at MLS side LA Galaxy’s 27,000-capacity stadium on Wednesday, July 24 (early Thursday UK time) and the latter in SoFi Stadium, the 70,000-seat home of the city’s two NFL franchises the Rams and Chargers on Saturday, July 27 (early Sunday UK). They then play Liverpool in NFL team Philadelphia Eagles’ 67,500-capacity Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday, July 31 (early Thursday UK).

Which senior players will be in the U.S.?
Arsenal’s first-team squad has been divided into four groups, who are returning in stages ahead of the new season.
Firstly, there are those who did not participate in an international tournament this summer — this group includes captain Martin Odegaard , Jurrien Timber , Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey . They also convened in Spanish resort Marbella before the official start of pre-season for a training camp.
Players who have been competing with their countries at the European Championship and Copa America will make staggered arrivals.
Those whose teams didn’t make the knockout phase, such as Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior , are likely to travel with the main group on Sunday, July 21. They will be joined by another group, including Euro 2024 quarter-finalist Kai Havertz , midway through the tour.
Players who reached the Euros final, such as England pair Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice , will not join up with the squad until Arsenal return to the UK.
Which academy players are likely to go on tour?
The highly-rated pair of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are both expected to travel. The two 17-year-olds have been training with the first team and are likely to be granted another opportunity to impress Arteta during the tour.
They are likely to be joined by another 17-year-old, centre-back Ayden Heaven. Previously known as Ayden John, Heaven joined the club from West Ham United at age 13. His size and technical ability make him an intriguing prospect at centre-half.
Other youngsters who have been participating in first-team training, such as Charles Sagoe Junior, 19, or the 20-year-old pair of Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand and Zane Monlouis, also have a chance of being included.
Uh, who’s going to play in goal?
Great question.
Aaron Ramsdale is on holiday after being part of the England squad that reached the Euros final, while presumably David Raya is still celebrating Spain ’s victory.
Arsenal must be glad they persuaded Karl Hein to sign a new contract last month.
The 22-year-old Estonia international is likely to be first-choice goalkeeper for the three-game tour — even though the likelihood is he will spend the competitive season out on loan.
The club are also pushing to add a new goalkeeper to expand their options before leaving on Sunday. Arsenal are close to completing the signing of 18-year-old Ajax and England Under-20 goalkeeper Tommy Setford. They may also go back with a new bid for Wolves’ experienced backup Dan Bentley , a former Arsenal youngster, although time is running short to get that one over the line before the Bournemouth game next Wednesday.
If Arsenal do not make a goalkeeper signing soon, Lucas Nygaard, an 18-year-old Dane who was signed this summer after a successful trial period, is potentially in line for a call-up.
What about those players rumoured to be leaving?
In the past, Arsenal have left players behind when going on these long-haul tours if there was an expectation they would be sold. Given the way the squad has been stretched by absences related to the international tournaments, that is simply not possible this time.
Emile Smith Rowe has been the subject of a bid from Fulham , while Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah are of interest to West Ham and France ’s Marseille respectively. Nevertheless, all three are expected to participate in this tour. It’s possible Arsenal will hold off on selling these players until August so they can help them navigate this part of their pre-season programme.
Will there be any other familiar faces?
Yes. As usual, Arsenal are travelling with some legends in tow: this time, Gilberto Silva and Theo Walcott. The two former Arsenal players will join the trip in ambassadorial roles.
